Prepare yourself for learning the Word of God!

Before we begin, if you are a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ (that is; you have believed [trusted] in Him for His promised gift of eternal life), it is important to prepare yourself to learn God's Word so take a moment to name, cite or acknowledge [confess] your known unconfessed sins privately to God (i.e.; with your thoughts directed only to God the Father).

1 John 1:9 says: "If we confess our sins, He (God) is faithful and just to forgive us our sins (known sins) and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness [your unknown or forgotten sins] ." NKJV [New King James Version] [italics added]; we call this REBOUND, read the full doctrine as to “why” we need to use 1 John 1:9 to grow spiritually. REBOUND

If you have never personally believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, that He is the Son of God, the promised Messiah, as your Savior (that is, believed in Him for eternal life), the issue for you is not to name your sins; the issue for you is to simply exercise faith alone in Jesus Christ alone eternal life; when you do, you will instantly receive Eternal Life: John 3:16, 5:24, 6:47, 20:30, 31.

John 6:47 says: "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me [Jesus Christ] has everlasting life." NKJV [italics added]

Notice again what Jesus said in John 6:47: "…he who believes in Me (Jesus Christ) has everlasting life." It doesn't say, "will have"; it says, "has." Therefore, the very moment you believe in Jesus Christ for His promise of everlasting life, you have it (it's really just that simple; nothing more and nothing less), and it can never be taken away from you (John 10:28-29). Furthermore, the gift (Ephesians 2:8c) of everlasting life (also called eternal life in scripture) is available to every human being; there are absolutely no exceptions.

John 3:14-15, 16, 17, 18, says: "14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 15 that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. 18 He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." NKJV

Let us now bow our hearts and take a moment to prepare for worship and learning God's Word. If there is any known sin in your life, this is the time to just cite it privately to God the Father with your thoughts directed towards Him. With your head bowed and your eyes closed, you have total privacy in your mind and soul:

Study to show yourself approved to God!

STUDY TITLE:

The Importance of Fulfilling the Great Commission; the Truth about the Tribulation period.

Let’s begin with 1Ti 5:17-18, Let the elders who rule well be considered worthy of double honor, especially those who work hard at preaching and teaching. [THIS is the principle of double honor and the dual responsibility of the Pastor-Teacher, who is to study and teach]. For the Scripture says, “You shall not muzzle the ox while he is threshing,” and “The laborer is worthy of HIS wages.”

Then, there is 1Co 9:11-27, If we sowed spiritual things in you, is it too much if we should reap material things from you? If others share the right over you, do we not more? Nevertheless, we did not use this right, but we endure all things, that we may cause no hindrance to the gospel of Christ. Do you not know that those who perform sacred services eat the {food} of the temple, {and} those who attend regularly to the altar have their share with the altar? So, also the LORD directed those who proclaim the gospel to get their living from the gospel. But I have used none of these things. And I am not writing these things that it may be done so in my case; for it would be better for me to die than have any man make my boast an empty one. For if I preach the gospel, I have nothing to boast of, for I am under compulsion; for woe is me if I do not preach the gospel. For if I do this voluntarily, I have a reward; but if against my will, I have a stewardship entrusted to me.What then is my reward? That, when I preach the gospel, I may offer the gospel without charge, so as not to make full use of my right in the gospel. For though I am free from all {men,} I have made myself a slave to all, that I might win the more. And to the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might win Jews; to those who are under the Law, as under the Law, though not being myself under the Law, that I might win those who are under the Law; to those who are without law, as without law, though not being without the law of GOD but under the law of Christ, that I might win those who are without law. To the weak I became weak, that I might win the weak; I have become all things to all men, that I may by all means save some. And I do all things for the sake of the gospel, that I may become a fellow partaker of it. Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but {only} one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may win. And everyone who competes in the games exercises self control in all things. They then {do it} to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable. Therefore, I run in such a way, as not without aim; I box in such a way, as not beating the air. But I buffet my body and make it my slave, lest possibly, after I have preached to others, I myself should be disqualified.

So, throughout the years, I have quoted a passage that will happen during the Tribulation period.

Amo 8:11-12, “Behold, days are coming,” declares the LORD GOD, “When I will send a famine on the land, Not a famine for bread or a thirst for water, But rather for hearing the words of the LORD. And people will stagger from sea to sea, And from the north even to the east; They will go to and fro to seek the word of the LORD, But they will not find {it.}”

Even our LORD had to deal with this problem in Matt 9:35, And Jesus was going about all the cities and the villages, teaching in their synagogues, and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every kind of disease and every kind of sickness.

Notice that our LORD felt compassion for them because they were distressed and downcast like sheep without a shepherd.

Matt 9:37-38, Then He said to HIS disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Then in VS 38, our LORD said to HIS disciples to beseech the LORD or to request GOD the Father to send out workers into the world to seek and to save the harvest of people who were ready to believe in the LORD Jesus Christ for eternal salvation.

And so, during this time of need there were many individuals who became believers and serious students of the word of GOD. Therefore, on behalf of Grace Bible Church and Robert McLaughlin Bible Ministries, we want to thank those of you who participated together with us to fulfill the great commission of Matt 28:19-20, “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

Notice the breakdown given in these two passages that every one of you had the opportunity to fulfill in some way.

1. “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations.

2. Baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit (as a teaching aid of the Baptism of the Spirit).

3. Teaching them to observe the mystery doctrine of the Church-age.

4. Instructing them to know and learn the New Commandments.

5. Teaching them all that the LORD commanded them.

6. Reveal to them that the LORD is omnipresent and with them always, even to the end of the age.

So, we say thank you to all of you for your faithfulness, prayers, and support for the last ten weeks or so. I also want to especially thank those who stood in the gap for us and filled in to keep the doctrine coming over the internet in spite of all the distractions of keeping the building nice and clean during this very unusual time.

This all fits in with principles like Gen 50:20, when Joseph said to HIS brothers, “You all meant evil against me, but GOD meant it for good in order to bring about this present result, to preserve many people alive.” You will discover as most of you have already that “What Satan means for evil; GOD means for good.” Or Deut 23:5, “The LORD your GOD was not willing to listen to evil against you but the LORD your GOD turned the curse into a blessing for you because the LORD your GOD loves you.”

Part of the responsibility of a Pastor is given in Jn 21:15-17. And so, I thank you for given me that opportunity to fulfill my responsibility to teach: Jn 21:15-17, So when they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, {son} of John, do you love Me more than these?” He said to Him, “Yes, LORD; You know that I love You.” He said to him, “Tend My lambs.” He said to him again a second time, “Simon, {son} of John, do you love Me?” He said to Him, “Yes, LORD; You know that I love You.” He said to him, “Shepherd My sheep.” He said to him the third time, “Simon, {son} of John, do you love Me?” Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, “Do you love Me?” And he said to Him, “LORD, You know all things; You know that I love You.” Jesus said to him, “Tend My sheep.”

Think about it, with all of the distractions that we had to deal with, we were still able to bring forth the word of GOD because of those believers behind the scenes that supported us through the internet ministry. It reminded me of the ways that the early church had to function in the beginning of the Church-age when Rome, and the majority of the Jews in Jerusalem were trying to stop them from prospering. But they failed to do so, as the early church met in secret places to hide from individuals like Saul of Tarsus. So that the man or woman of GOD may be mature, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

This morning I would like to begin to wrap up some of the doctrinal studies that we have been noting concerning the doctrine and the information that I believe applies to the way we all handle and will do our best to handle the coronavirus and the plans and the unity that we all need to be on the same page with. I know that there are some rules that some people are having a problem with, but may I say that the ultimate goal for us is to get back to the teaching schedule of doctrine that we had before the virus.

To do so, there are some things we need to beware of so that the change back to our original schedule and emphasis goes as smooth as it can. This requires a few important doctrinal principles that we need to make sure of concerning some very vital doctrines that we cannot afford to lose.

These doctrines that we need to cherish and apply are doctrines such as:

The Doctrine of Unity.

The Doctrine of Impersonal Love.

The Doctrine of Grace Orientation.

The Doctrine of the problem-solving devices.

The Doctrine of the Protocol of GOD.

The Doctrine of Forgiveness.

The Doctrine of Picking up your own cross.

Along with these seven doctrines, there are vital passages that should solve most of the problems if we truly believe them and apply them to these situations. Most of you are familiar with these four passages that I will quote.

First of all, when it comes to being treated a certain way, remember Matt 7:12, “Therefore, however you want people to treat you, treat them in that same way.”

Secondly, never forget, the importance of what the Bible says concerning our treatment to others as a reflection of our treatment to our LORD; Matt 25:40, “Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me.”

A third principle; be careful of is the judgments that we make toward others even if it means taken wrong rather than right for the sake of reconciliation.

Rom 14:4, Who are you to judge the servant of another? To HIS own master he stands or falls; and stand he will, for the LORD is able to make him stand.

Rom 14:10, But you, why do you judge your brother? Or you again, why do you regard your brother with contempt? For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of GOD.

And then finally, the ultimate goal that we should all have together; Jn 13:34-35, “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Now, I don’t expect that we will never fail, but I do expect that we will do our best to love the LORD with all of our heart and soul and our neighbors as ourselves.

So much for our introduction.

With all the similarities on the different principles that are found especially during the next dispensation called the Tribulation Period. One of the main reasons that we are noting this particular period of time is because the time in which we live, which I personally believe is the beginning of the end of the Church-age is a period of time where we get a glimpse of what is about to happen on this earth. Regarding the time in which we live—a time that is getting very close to the return of Christ, it’s important to know and understand that we are being plunged into a period of time about which the Bible says more than it does about any other period of time in History, including the time that Jesus walked the shores of Galilee or climbed the mountains of Judea.

Remember this principle: We are not waiting for any prophecies to be fulfilled but we are waiting to get ourselves prepared for what will happen just before the Rapture. This is why the apostle Paul said in Tit 2:11-14, For the grace of GOD has appeared, bringing salvation to all men, instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously and GODly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great GOD and Savior, Christ Jesus. Who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself a people for HIS own possession, zealous for good deeds?

These principles are in the beginning stage of what is about to happen in the next dispensation which is called the Tribulation period which begins with the Resurrection of the Church which we call the Rapture. And therefore, another part of the Mystery Doctrine of the Church-age or the last prophecy to be fulfilled is the doctrine of the Rapture.

Not all Christians believe in the Rapture. The Rapture of the church is basically held by two schools of theology. The Pre-Tribulational view and the Post-Tribulational view. The Pre-Tribulational view says that the Rapture will happen before the Tribulation Period. The Post-Tribulational view says that the Rapture will happen after the Tribulation period. There is also the Amillennial and Postmillennial view which both views deny that there is any such thing as a Rapture and does not believe there will be any Rapture of the Church at all. Their position is basically promoted through what is known as the “Kingdom Now Theology,” or “Presbyterian theology” which adheres to the notion, that once the church cleans up the world then the Millennial Kingdom, the 1,000 years of the Church-age, will usher in a world peace. This is nothing but satanic thinking as Satan is trying to counterfeit everything that the LORD does and figures that he can if he can get.

It is the understanding of the battles that were fought by the angels in eternity past that provides the answers that we all have concerning to the questions that give our life meaning, purpose, definition and direction. The angelic conflict began before the creation of man. Gen 1:1-2, In the beginning GOD created the heavens and the earth. And the earth [not was formless and void but] became formless and void and darkness was over the surface of the deep; and the Spirit of GOD was moving over the surface of the waters.

The Earth was a glob of nothingness, a bottomless emptiness, filled with blackness and darkness as GOD’s Spirit was like a covering of darkness and underneath a watery abyss. And we are now trying to answer the question; How did it all begin? Believe it or not, the answers to these questions are found in three more passages.

The first one is found in Jer 4. It began with the anger of GOD and HIS wrath. This will be manifested in the ways of darkness that line up with some of the descriptions we saw the past couple of weeks. The indictment by our LORD was given in passages such as Jer 4:22, where he says; “For My people are foolish, They know Me not; They are stupid children, And they have no understanding. They are shrewd to do evil, But to do good they do not know.”

In Jer 4:23-26, Jeremiah writes; I looked on the earth, and behold, {it was} formless and void; And to the heavens, and they had no light. I looked on the mountains, and behold, they were quaking, And all the hills moved to and fro. I looked, and behold, there was no man, And all the birds of the heavens had fled, the fruitful land was a wilderness and all its cities were pulled down Before the LORD.

And then the reasons are given of why the earth and the LORD was filled with fierce anger.

Jer 4:27, For thus says the LORD, “The whole land shall be a desolation, Yet I will not execute a complete destruction.”

THIS is one of the reasons why the LORD was angry and why there is coming a dispensation called the Tribulation Period that is described as one of the worst times in all of human History. Think of it with me about the fact that there is coming a time on this earth which will not be a bad as the Tribulation period which is described as:

A place described as a place of torment, Luk 16:28.

A place where desire is never met, Luk 16:24.

A place of unspeakable misery indicated by the term, everlasting fire, Matt 25:41. Where the worm or the conscience never dies and the fire is never quenched, Mr 9:44.

It is described as The Lake of Fire, which many believe to be a liquid form of lava) that burns with fire and brimstone, Rev 21:8, “But for the cowardly and unbelieving and abominable and murderers and immoral persons and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their part {will be} in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”

It is called the place of eternal suffering.

A bottomless pit, Rev 9:2.

Outer darkness, Mat 8:12.

Fire unquenchable, Luk 3:17.

Furnace of fire, Mat 13:42.

Blackness of darkness, Jud 13;

It is said about those suffering in Rev 14:11, that “the smoke of their torment ascends up for ever and ever and they have no rest day or night.”

As you can see, it is not a figure of speech! It is a place, a very real place! It is beyond the power of words to describe! And nearly every one of those expressions I just gave you came from the lips of The LORD Jesus Christ. It is as though no one else could be depended upon to speak forth this terrible truth. GOD does not desire that any person in the human race go to torments in Hades and then the lake of fire.

2Pe 3:9, “He is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to a change of attitude toward Christ.”

Therefore, life is often extended so that every chance is given for everyone to believe in Christ. No one will spend eternity in the lake of fire who hasn’t had multifarious opportunities to personally believe in Jesus Christ. Both, the place of Torments in Hades and the Lake of Fire are vividly described in Mat 9:48, where we are told that: “It will be a place where the worm does not die and the fire is not quenched.”

Everyone should hear the screams of those who die burning in total agony, so that they will understand the importance of believing in Jesus Christ. In eternity, the screams never stop; they go on forever and ever and ever, simply because they refused the so-great salvation provided by Jesus Christ.

Luk 16:24, “And he [the rich man] cried out or screamed and said, ‘Father Abraham , have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of HIS finger in water and cool off my tongue; for I am in agony in this flame.’

Notice that he complains of the torments of HIS tongue particularly, as if he were more tormented there than in any other part. Perhaps the tongue being tormented is a reminder of all the wicked words that he had spoken against GOD and Man. Cursing, sneering, blasphemy, slander, gossip. As the LORD said, by HIS words, he is condemned and therefore on HIS tongue he is tormented.

Luk 16:24, “and he [the rich man] cried out or screamed and said, ‘Father Abraham , have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, “And he cried out and said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of HIS finger in water and cool off my tongue; for I am in agony in this flame.’

There is a day coming when those that now hate and despise the people of GOD would gladly receive kindness from them. Now Abraham is allowed to reply to the rich man in verse Luk 16:25. THIS dialogue was permitted not only to answer this one man’s question, but to settle the issue for all who were listening who had the same problems and wanted the same relief from Lazarus.

The question is Mat 22:42, “What do you think about the Christ, whose Son is He?” Your attitude toward Jesus Christ determines your eternal future. You will either spend your eternal future in heaven or you will spend it in torments and then finally the lake of fire. Torments is the residence of all unbelievers since the beginning of time.

Now, Gen 1:1-2; and Jer 4:22-27; tells us how the earth became formless and void, and how darkness was over the surface of the deep and the Spirit of GOD was moving over the surface of the waters. And why did this happen? This happened because Satan and one-third of the angels started to think more highly of themselves and wanted a time to prove their equality with GOD and with all Three members of the GODhead. In fact, the LORD used this principle of theology by using Job as an example; Job 38:4-7, when the LORD said to Job, the same thing that HE said to Satan in Job 1, 2, and 38.

Most of you know that Job won this first battle against Satan as a representative of the LORD. For in Job 1:21-22 Job said, “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, And naked I shall return there. The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away. Blessed be the name of the LORD. Through all this Job did not sin nor did he blame GOD. THIS was followed by a second test that GOD let Satan test Job with. Job also passed this test in Job 2:10, But he said to her, “You speak as one of the foolish women speaks. Shall we indeed accept good from GOD and not accept adversity?” In all this Job did not sin with HIS lips.”

Finally, Job passed the third test after the LORD rebuked him in Job 38. Now, these passages and two more reveal to us the principle of why we have been created! Why are living during this period of time called the Church-age? Why is there going to be a Tribulation period? Why is there going to be a Rapture? Why is there going to be a Millennial reign? Why were we born? But, most of all, what is this life all about?

We are being plunged into a period of time about which the Bible says more than it does about any other period of time in History, including the time that Jesus walked the shores of Galilee or climbed the mountains of Judea.

Hymn #1

Hymn #2

Preparing yourself for the study of God’s Word

Before we begin, if you are a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ (that is— you have believed in Him for eternal life), it is important to prepare yourself to take-in God’s Word or participating in a Communion Service, so take a moment to name, cite or acknowledge your unconfessed sins privately directly to God the Father. This will assure that you are in fellowship with God the Father and the Holy Spirit’s convicting ministry, also called the convincing ministry will then be able to teach you as the Holy Spirit is the real teacher and the pastor’s message is the vehicle the Holy Spirit uses to convince you what you are learning is true or not.

1 John 1:9, says—“If we confess (simply name, cite or acknowledge to God the Father] our sins [known sins], He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins [known sins] and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness [all unknown and forgotten sins];” NKJV (New King James Version); we call this REBOUND, read the full doctrine as to “why” we need to use 1 John 1:9 to grow spiritually. REBOUND

If you have never personally believed in the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior (that is, believed in Him for eternal life>), the issue for you is not to name your sins to God; the issue for you is to believe by faith alone in Jesus Christ alone for eternal life and you will be saved the very second you believe in Him:

John 6:47 says: “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me [Jesus Christ] has everlasting life.” NKJV

Notice again what John 6:47 says, “he who believes in Me [Jesus Christ] has everlasting life.” It doesn’t say, “will have”; it says, “has.” Therefore, the very moment you believe Jesus Christ’s promise of everlasting life, you have it (it’s really just that simple), and it can never be lost or taken away from you (John 10:28-29). Furthermore, the gift of everlasting life (also called eternal life in scripture) is available to every human being; there are absolutely no exceptions.

John 3:14-18 says: “And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” NKJV

Let us now bow our hearts and take a moment to prepare for learning God’s Word, if there is any known sin in your life, this is the time to just cite it privately to God the Father with your thoughts directed towards Him. With your head bowed and your eyes closed, you have total privacy in your mind and soul:

NOTES

Unlike the bible study, these notes are not just for reading without watching the video. These notes are more designed to follow along during the sermon and to bring up the “hover pop-up scripture references” (some websites may require to left click the link, if that doesn’t work then look them up in your Bible) when the Pastor asks everyone to turn to that passage in their bibles.

Jesus Christ is purely and totally 100 % Undiminished Deity and 100 % True Humanity in one person forever = the Unique One of the Universe.

Dispensation of the Hypostatic Union = our Lord Jesus Christ is both God and man or He is Undiminished Deity and True humanity in one person forever.

Jesus Christ is purely and totally 100% Undiminished Deity and 100% True Humanity in one person forever = the Unique One of the Universe.

John 3:16 “For God loved the world so much that He gave His son, the Unique One, in order that whoever believes in Him shall never perish [eternal security] but have eternal life.”

1. The word True refers to His character and nature as the “God of all truth” while the word Vine refers to His divine essence as the God of All Truth; Deut 32:4.

Vine = our Lord’s human nature and how we can learn to draw spiritual life or spirituality from learning HOW our Lord did so in His humanity as He fulfilled the plan of God for His life.

Heb 10:5 when He comes into the world, He says, “Sacrifice and offering Thou hast not desired, but a body Thou hast prepared for Me;

Right up to the day of your birth, God had prepared everything you would ever need to live the life that He has just for you; 2Pe 1:2-4.

Right up to the point of the day of your birth and the day of your departure, either through physical death of the Rapture, God has prepared everything we would ever need = “preparation.”

Our Lord’s life began with preparation from His Father who prepared for Him a human body to indwell.

Heb 10:7 “Behold, I have come (In the roll of the book it is written of Me) To do Thy will, O God.”

His Goal = To do God’s will.

His Purpose = To glorify His Father.

His Means = Spirit and Truth.

His reason = to become the True Witness in the angelic Conflict; Rev 1:5 Jesus Christ is the faithful witness, the first born or the privileged One from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth.

The faithful witness;

The first born or the privileged One from the dead;

The ruler of the kings of the earth.

His power = The Spirit and the Word; Act 1:8; Heb 4:12.

We have His Goal, His purpose, His means, His reasons, and His power.

There are so many things for us to learn in just this one little sentence, let alone what we will be learning for all of eternity; John 1:12; 2Pe 3:18.

2Pe 3:18 “Grow in grace and knowledge” = His Goal, His purpose, His means, His reasons, and His power.

First — we are told not be get tired of “well doing.”

“well doing.” = something valuable, virtuous, and worthy, this verse is instructing us to do those things that are valuable, virtuous, and worthy; not to waste our time on things that are unworthy.

Many things we do are not a sin, they just are not valuable and worthy.

How many hours a week do we sit glued to the television? Or on the computer; Psa 101:3 I will set no worthless thing before my eyes; I hate the work of those who fall away; It shall not fasten its grip on me.

Walk wisely, not foolishly, redeeming the time; in other words, using our time wisely; Eph 5:14-16.

We are not doing anything wrong, but we are not making the best use of our time, either; as Eph 5:17-21 states.

Only those things are valuable, virtuous, and worthy in the sight of God; which includes family, the Royal Family, the fellowship we should have with other believers.

Deut 28:47 We are to serve the Lord our God with joy and a glad heart, for the abundance of all things.

Delight yourself also in the LORD; and he shall give you the desires of your heart. (Psa 37:4).

Psa 37:4 Delight yourself in the Lord; And He will give you the desires of your heart.

If we love someone, don’t we delight in doing things to please them?

When we learn to delight ourselves in the Lord, and do what is pleasing to Him, that’s when God will truly bless us.

The best way to receive the desires of your heart is to obediently and delightfully do what God has called you to do, without murmuring, grumbling, or excuses.

1. We need to be patient.

2. We need to use the power of the Holy Spirit, not in our own fleshly power.

3. Our Lord Jesus Christ is the Author but, even more than that, He is the Finisher of our faith; Heb 12:2; John 17:4; 19:30.

Our Lord Jesus Christ isn’t obligated to finish something He didn’t start.

Our Lord is also not obligated to bless something He didn’t call us to do.

“I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abides in me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit: for without me you can do nothing;” John 15:5.

We are intended to bear much fruit: some thirtyfold, some sixtyfold, some even one hundred-fold! (Mark 4:20), yet we cannot bear fruit in our own power. Apart from Christ in us, we can do nothing.

Mark 4:20 “And those are the ones on whom seed was sown on the good soil; and they hear the word and accept it, and bear fruit, thirty, sixty, and a hundredfold.”

They have to be pruned and kept in shape and never get involved with trying to escape.

One of the lessons that I just gave you is that we live in a microwave society.

Everything about our world is geared toward speed:

fast food,

drive through windows,

instant coffee,

microwave meals,

high speed internet;

We want what we want when we want it.

Fast and easy, that’s our motto in this day and age.

Don’t make us have to work for it or make it inconvenient.

God is not a microwave God; He has all eternity at His command; He isn’t interested in instant gratification or making things easy for us.

He is interested in patiently shaping and molding us into the likeness of His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ; Rom 8:29.

Rom 8:29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined {to become} conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the first born among many brethren;

Our Lord is far more interested in making things that last than in making them fast.

God also isn’t interested so much in making things easy for us as He is in making us ultimately better.

He is more concerned with our eternity than with our “here and now.”

He is far more concerned about our growth as Christians than about making life easy for us.

Eventually, we WILL reap the rewards of our work; Gal 6:9; but even in the promise, there is still a warning attached: “if we faint not.”

We don’t like it when we don’t see instant results just like we don’t like it when we don’t get our own way.

We have to believe God, not just believe in God. He never calls us to do anything that He does not give us the power to do, through His Holy Spirit.

Believing Him requires putting our faith to work, by being obedient and doing what He tells us.

Believing God requires patience. It requires that we keep on doing what we know we should, simply because we know that He is faithful, (Heb 10:23) and will do what He has said.

Instead of fast and easy, we will understand that we are not looking for instant gratification, but for the eternal rewards God has promised us in due season.

One of those goals is mentioned in Jer 1:4-10.

Our Lord did not say “I knew you when you were in your Mother’s womb.”

If our Lord said that He knew Jeremiah in the womb that would mean that Jeremiah was a person and then we would say that there is soul life in the womb…but it does not say that.

Jer 1:5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I have appointed you a prophet to the nations.”

This is his human viewpoint of self rather than the divine viewpoint of the Lord.

This is the promise that the Lord will be with Jeremiah and give the prophet divine power and the confidence that he will need to handle any problem in life; 1Co 10:13.

This is what our Lord uses when He come back in the Second Advent we are told that when He comes back, He comes back to make war with words. Rev 19:11-16.

Rev 19:11 And I saw heaven opened; and behold, a white horse, and He who sat upon it {is} called Faithful and True; and in righteousness He judges and wages war.

Rev 19:12 And His eyes {are} a flame of fire, and upon His head {are} many diadems; and He has a name written {upon Him} which no one knows except Himself.

Rev 19:13 And {He is} clothed with a robe dipped in blood; and His name is called The Word of God.

Rev 19:16 And on His robe and on His thigh He has a name written, “KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.”

Jer 1:10 “See, I have appointed you this day over the nations and over the kingdoms, to pluck up and to break down, to destroy and to overthrow, to build and to plant.”

Our Lord’s plan:

To pluck up and to break down,

To destroy and to overthrow,

To build and to plant.”

Jeremiah is commanded by our Lord to pluck up and to break down, to destroy and to overthrow, and then it’s time to build and to plant.”

2Ch 14:7 For he [King Asa] said to Judah, “Let us build these cities and surround them with walls and towers, gates and bars.

The land is still ours, because we have sought the Lord our God; we have sought Him, and He has given us rest on every side.” So, they built and prospered.

We are to pluck up some things in our life that we have become familiar with and that have caused us to break down at certain times; Eph 4:27.

Great Illustration: Eph 4:27 Do not give the devil an opportunity or a room in your soul where the flesh or the old sin nature resides and seeks to control or make room for NVTD=negative volition towards doctrine.

There are times that we must take care of the battles that we are facing without and also the battles that we are facing from within.

Eph 6:11 Pick up and put on the full armor from God, that you may be able to hold your ground against the schemes or the strategies of the devil.

Eph 6:13 Because of this, pick up and put on the full armor from God, that you may be able to hold your ground in the day when evil attacks you,

Eph 6:14 Because of this, hold your ground, [after you] have buckled on your combat gear around your waist by means of doctrine.

Eph 6:15 [hold your ground] after you have put on your combat boots on your feet with readiness, preparation, or the equipment of the gospel of peace.

This usually calls for the believer to seek, to destroy, and to overthrow the enemy if needed.

Then after all these things are put in place that is the time for reverse operation and to go forward in the plan of God and to build and to plant.”

1. The evangelism of mankind.

a. The function of the problem-solving devices.

b. Understanding and using your very own assets.

c. The execution of the PPOG=predesigned plan of God.

2. The effective function of Christian service in the production of divine good rather than dead works.

3. The ability to communicate the accuracy of the doctrine of salvation as an ambassador for Christ.

Regardless of the circumstances and events that surround your birth, God gave you life at that moment, so that was the right time for you to be born.

You did not choose your parents;

You did not choose your birthday;

You did not choose your gender;

You did not choose the color of your skin.

You did not choose your I.Q.

You did not choose your generation.

You did not choose your family or siblings.

You did not choose your Client Nation;

John 15:16 “You did not choose Me, but I chose you, and appointed you, that you should go and bear fruit, and {that} your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask of the Father in My name, He may give to you.

The point here is that God created soul life and imputed “soul life” to your soul at your birth; And that was the right time for you to be born.

Because God is perfect, His ways are perfect, and you and I were born under the perfect timing of God.

If we complain about anything related to our birth or our environment, or our parents, or our home, we are blaspheming God.

Anyone who resents his parents or his early environment, no matter how bad or how good it was, is totally out of sync or out of line with life.

Psychology encourages this type of thinking, which is blaming someone especially our Lord for whatever happens.

Every time you use your environment as an excuse for your bad habits, you are so far out of line that you are disoriented to life.

All your bad habits and bad timing can only be corrected by believing in Christ and then taken in His word on a consistent basis.

Prin: Just like we had no control over our birth, we also have no control over our death.

When we are born and when we die, is strictly a matter of the sovereignty of God or God’s righteousness judgment to act.

We will die in the manner and at the time that God selects; Psa 68:19-20.

People are often bitter, upset, and disturbed because of the way someone they love dies, putting themselves out of God’s timing for the rest of their lives, as if somehow everything in life is unfair to them.

Psa 68:19 Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears our burden, The God {who} is our salvation. Selah.

Psa 68:20 God is to us a God of deliverances; And to God the Lord belong escapes from death.

There is a lot of unfairness in the world, but the minute you react, you’re out of God’s timing.

And remember that excuses are never solutions to problems.

Look at all the people who complain about their birth, their parents, their home, their environment, and their circumstances right now.

They reject the doctrinal principle the Apostle Peter said; 1Pe 5:6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time.

They also reject the doctrinal principles that James put it; Jm 4:6 But He gives a greater grace. Therefore {it} says, “God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”

Prin: Becoming very pushy and trying desperately to make things happen is a sign of being on your own timing.

Timing is simply defined as the selection of the best time for doing something in order to achieve the desired effect with maximum results.

The next Dispensation: The Tribulation period begins with the Rapture of the Church.

I want to with our study on principles regarding the next dispensation called the Tribulation Period. One of the main reasons that we are noting this particular period of time is because the time in which we live in right now is the beginning of the end of the Church-age dispensation.

Remember this principle: We are not waiting for any prophecies to be fulfilled but we are waiting to get ourselves prepared for what will happen just before the Rapture.

This is why the apostle Paul said in Tit 2:11-14, For the grace of GOD has appeared, bringing salvation to all men, instructing us to deny unGODliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously and GODly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great GOD and Savior, Christ Jesus; who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good deeds.

One of the words that describe the calling of GOD and how we should look upon it is the phrase in Tit 2:13 which says that we should be looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great GOD and Savior, Christ Jesus.

These principles are in the beginning stage of what is about to happen in the next dispensation which is called the Tribulation period. The Tribulation period begins with the Resurrection of the Church which we call the Rapture. Another part of the mystery doctrine of the Church-age is the doctrine of the Rapture.

Their position is basically promoted through what is known as the “Kingdom Now Theology,” which adheres to the notion, that once the church cleans up the world then the Millennial Kingdom, the 1,000 years of the Church-age will usher in a world peace.

This is nothing but satanic thinking as Satan is trying to counterfeit everything that the LORD does. It is the understanding of the battles that were fought by the angels in eternity past that provides the answers that we all have concerning to the questions that give our life meaning, purpose, definition and direction.

The Three Omni’s refer to:

1. Omnipresence – He is always with us.

2. Omnipotence – He always provides the power that we need.

3. Omniscience – He always has the answers to all of our problems.

In fact, everything in your life depends upon you understanding and applying the Angelic Conflict. The angelic conflict began before the creation of man and the heavens and the earth but before the creation of the human race, Gen 1:1-2, Jer 4:23-26, Job 38:4-7.

For example, in Gen 1:1, In the beginning GOD created the heavens and the earth. And the earth [not was formless and void but] became formless and void and darkness was over the surface of the deep; and the Spirit of GOD was moving over the surface of the waters.

We are now trying to answer the question; How did it all begin? The answers to these questions are found in two more passages. The first one is found in Jer 4:22-27, “For My people are foolish, They know Me not; They are stupid children, And they have no understanding. They are shrewd to do evil, But to do good they do not know. I looked on the earth, and behold, {it was} formless and void; And to the heavens, and they had no light. I looked on the mountains, and behold, they were quaking, And all the hills moved to and fro. I looked, and behold, there was no man, And all the birds of the heavens had fled. I looked, and behold, the fruitful land was a wilderness, And all its cities were pulled down Before the LORD, before His fierce anger. For thus says the LORD, The whole land shall be a desolation, Yet I will not execute a complete destruction.

This tells us how the earth became formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep; and the Spirit of GOD was moving over the surface of the waters.

This happened because Satan and one-third of the angels started to think more highly of themselves and wanted a time to prove their equality with GOD and with all Three members of the GODhead.

In fact, the LORD used this principle of theology by using Job as an example; Job 38:4-7, when the LORD said to Job, the same thing that He said to Satan.

Job 1:6-12, Now there was a day when the sons of GOD came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came among them. And the LORD said to Satan, “From where do you come?” Then Satan answered the LORD and said, “From roaming about on the earth and walking around on it.” And the LORD said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job? For there is no one like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, fearing GOD and turning away from evil.” Then Satan answered the LORD, “Does Job fear GOD for nothing? “Hast Thou not made a hedge about him and his house and all that he has, on every side? Thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land. But put forth Thy hand now and touch all that he has; he will surely curse Thee to Thy face.” Then the LORD said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your power, only do not put forth your hand on him.” So, Satan departed from the presence of the LORD.

Most of you know that Job won this first battle against Satan as a representative of the LORD.

Job 1:21-22, Job said, “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, And naked I shall return there. The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away. Blessed be the name of the LORD.” Through all this Job did not sin nor did he blame GOD.

This was followed by a second test that GOD let Satan test Job with.

Job 2:1-6, Again there was a day when the sons of GOD came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came among them to present himself before the LORD. And the LORD said to Satan, “Where have you come from?” Then Satan answered the LORD and said, “From roaming about on the earth, and walking around on it.” And the LORD said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job? For there is no one like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man fearing GOD and turning away from evil. And he still holds fast his integrity, although you incited Me against him, to ruin him without cause.” And Satan answered the LORD and said, “Skin for skin! Yes, all that a man has he will give for his life. However, put forth Thy hand, now, and touch his bone and his flesh; he will curse Thee to Thy face.” So, the LORD said to Satan, “Behold, he is in your power, only spare his life.”

Then GOD deals with Job personally in Job 38.

Job 38:4-7, “Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth? Tell Me, if you have understanding, Who set its measurements, since you know? Or who stretched the line on it? On what were its bases sunk? Or who laid its cornerstone, When the morning stars sang together, And all the sons of GOD shouted for joy?”

These passages and others reveal to us the principle of why we have been created!

Why are we living during this period of time called the Church-age?

Why is there going to be a Tribulation period?

Why is there going to be a Rapture?

Why is there going to be a Millennial reign?

>Why were we born?

Why we will die?

But, most of all, what is this life all about?

Let’s look at two more major passages that tells us more about the reasons all of these events exist and the purpose of them. They are Eze 28 and Isa 14.

Eze 28:11-12, “Again the word of the LORD came to me saying, Son of man, take up a lamentation over the king of Tyre…”

The king of Tyre was one the few individuals in human history who was possessed by Satan just like the serpent in the garden and Judas Iscariot who betrayed our LORD. The LORD goes on and uses the king of Tyre to speak to Satan an a one on one basis as he is possessed by the devil or Satan. This is the LORD speaking to Satan who is indwelling the king of Tyre.

There are a lot of facts that the average believer and of course unbelievers do not know about Satan, so the LORD is about to reveal to us more things to understand under the principle of “knowing your enemy.”

Of all of the creatures to come from the hand of GOD, Satan was the most beautiful, the wisest, the most personable creature ever created.

Eze 28:12-13, … “Thus says the LORD GOD, You had the seal of perfection, Full of wisdom [he’s a genius] and perfect in beauty [his overt beauty is perfect]. You were in Eden, the garden of GOD.”

Don’t mistake this for the Garden of Eden, this Eden was called the Garden of GOD and I believe there was a tremendous difference between the two. Satan was in Adam’s Eden, however, he did not appear there as a minister of GOD but as an apostate and venomous serpent eager for the ruin of the new creation. This could have been the same Garden of Eden or may not have been, but all we do know is at this time he was worshipping GOD. In Eden, he was worshipping himself.

Eze 28:13, “You were in Eden, the garden of GOD; Every precious stone was your covering: The ruby, the topaz, and the diamond; The beryl, the onyx, and the jasper; The lapis lazuli, the turquoise, and the emerald; And the gold, the workmanship of your settings and sockets, Was in you. On the day that you were created They were prepared.”

All these stones, as we have noted, were given as a sign of his exaltation from GOD before Satan’s fall.

“The workmanship of your settings and sockets” refers to the fact that he did not need an instrument of praise to glorify his Creator; he was an instrument of praise.

However, please notice the last phrase in Eze 28:13…On the day that you were created They were prepared.

Satan was and still is a creature created by GOD. And, in the next verse, we pass from the royalty of Satan to his priestly dignity. He is said to have been the Anointed Cherub that covers by GOD’s commission.

Eze 28:14, “You were the anointed cherub [the Messiah’s angel, that is the highest rank of angelic creatures] who covers, And I placed you there. You were on the holy mountain of GOD [third heaven]; You walked in the midst of the stones of fire.”

Satan was in the throne room of GOD. The holy mountain of GOD is the place of GOD’s presence in visible glory. Satan’s presence on the holy mountain would indicate his enjoyment of the full Cherubic privileges of nearness to the throne of GOD. Remember that the cherubim were the group of angels related to the throne of GOD as protectors and defenders of His holiness.

Therefore, we can conclude that this angel was created above all angels to be a proctor and defender of the throne of GOD. So, do not be surprised when you run into someone who is supposed to protect and defend the authority over them but instead attacks it and discredits it, it started with their father the devil. I say their father because Satan is the author of lies, etc.

Notice the phrase in Eze 28:14, “You were the anointed cherub who covers, And I placed you there.”

Isn’t it interesting that GOD placed Lucifer there knowing that he eventually was going to rebel and start a conspiracy against GOD. You see thinking like this is not something new, these thoughts like “Why did GOD create evil creatures” have been on man’s mind for many years.

Eze 28:15-16, “You were blameless in your ways [not innocent, but blameless] From the day you were created, Until unrighteousness was found in you. By the abundance of your trade You were internally filled with violence,”

The phrase the abundance of your trade refers to his genius plans and ideas. The word for trade is also translated slander, it means to slander, or to try and destroy someone’s reputation by trafficking gossip and slander. Satan has come up with many plans. Plans for his angels, plans for the human race, plans for you and me. And these plans are all based upon lies and slander and gossip and maligning.

This is why when Satan sinned one third of the angelic creatures went with him, he had plans for them. Slander especially is needed for Satan to lie and secure his allegiance to his program of rebellion and conspiracy against GOD. Satan is a master of conspiracy! In fact, he is the originator of conspiracy!

So, Eze 28:16-17, “By the abundance of your slander You were internally filled with violence, And you sinned; Therefore I have cast you as profane From the mountain of GOD [this is future, it has not been accomplished yet…he still has access into heaven]. And I have destroyed you, O covering cherub, From the midst of the stones of fire. Your heart [right lobe] was lifted up because of your beauty.

You corrupted your wisdom means to distort it by reason of his splendor or his breath-taken beauty.

Eze 28:18-19 “By the multitude of your iniquities, In the unrighteousness of your trade [your dishonest transactions, a reference to the fact that Satan entered into conspiracy], You profaned your sanctuaries [that’s Satan’s first fall, his second fall is mentioned next which will come in the Tribulation period]. Therefore, I have brought fire from the midst of you; It has consumed you, And I have turned you to ashes on the earth In the eyes of all who see you. All who know you among the peoples Are appalled at you; You have become terrified, And you will be no more.”

This will all take place before the Millennial reign of Christ and after it as well. GOD records the origin, the rank, the character, and the sin of Satan. One of the reasons is simply because he wants us to see the devastating effects of arrogance and pride. Arrogance basically has to do with thought while pride has to do with action.

This passage brings out the fact that GOD did not create Satan as we know him today, He created an angel who was perfect in all his ways, and that angel sinned by opposing the will of GOD.

Let’s close this section by noting some very important principles.

1. Through his rejection of the plan of GOD and then his rebellion toward GOD, Satan, as did Adam, became an entirely different being from that which GOD created. This was done through the power of choice or the free will. GOD originally created angels and man to bless them. However, as a part of divine blessing, they must be given a free will or a choice to either accept or reject the offer of GOD. Satan rejected GOD’s offer as did Adam and the woman and therefore became an entirely different being from that which GOD intended.

2. When GOD creates a creature to fulfill a certain purpose, GOD gives His creatures everything necessary to fulfill His will. GOD always provides whatever we need to fulfill the purpose He has for our lives.

3. The reason why GOD created Satan as a wise and beautiful angel is not so he would have enough power to deceive us but because GOD originally created Satan to be a protector and defender of the throne of GOD. However, like many of GOD’s creatures, Satan used his GOD-given abilities and his GOD-given talents to glorify himself rather than GOD.

Every single one of you listening to my voice have been given time, talents, and treasures as gifts from GOD. You may know what they are, you may not know. However, do you use them for the purpose of GOD’s kingdom or do you use them for the purpose of self-exaltation?

Promoting self.

Exalting self.

Blessing self.

Elevating self.

4. By his sin of independence, Satan lost his original holiness and heavenly position but he retained his wisdom and his beauty and he has used his superior qualities to accomplish evil. His wisdom and his beauty have been perverted into lies, deceptions, snares, and conspiracies. Like so many of GOD’s creatures, Satan has forgotten where he received his wisdom and abilities from.

5. Satan’s office was originally to protect the Throne of GOD and to forbid the approach of any evil or any unrighteousness.

6. However, like most of GOD’s creatures, including born again believers, Satan rejected the plan of GOD for his life and chose his own plans over GOD’s plans.

7. And every time a believer says NO to the PPOG[=predesigned plan of God] for his life, he is agreeing with the viewpoint of Satan who said NO to the plan of GOD for his life.

8. The unrighteousness found in Satan was the sin of independence and self-exaltation. We tend to look at sin as some form of immorality. Immorality is sin, however, such sins like the sin of independence from the plan of GOD are the most destructive sins believers can fall into. The sin of independence says, “It’s not that important for me to learn GOD’s plan for my life, I’ll do what I feel like doing.”

9. Satan is said to have been upon the Holy Mountain of GOD as the Anointed Cherub that covereth and therefore he was the great High Priest of his realm. He led the angels to worship GOD and therefore he was the high priest in the angelic realm.

10. Satan also was the highest angel and therefore the king over his creation.

In fact, the problem for many of us is that we feel funny or ashamed for even asking for something, especially when you have people in your life who make you feel like that.
