Prepare yourself for learning the Word of God!

Before we begin, if you are a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ (that is; you have believed [trusted] in Him for His promised gift of eternal life), it is important to prepare yourself to learn God's Word so take a moment to name, cite or acknowledge (confess) your sins privately to God (i.e.; with your thoughts directed only to God the Father).

1 John 1:9 says: "If we confess our sins, He (God) is faithful and just to forgive us our sins (known sins) and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness [unknown or forgotten sins]." NKJV (New King James Version) [italics added]; we call this REBOUND, read the full doctrine as to “why” we need to use 1 John 1:9 to grow spiritually. REBOUND

If you have never personally believed in the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior (that is, believed in Him for eternal life), the issue for you is not to name your sins; the issue for you is to have faith alone in Jesus Christ alone for eternal life: John 3:16, 5:24, 6:47, 20:30, 31.

John 6:47 says: "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me (Jesus Christ) has everlasting life." NKJV [italics added]

Notice again what Jesus said in John 6:47: "…he who believes in Me (Jesus Christ) has everlasting life." It doesn't say, "will have"; it says, "has." Therefore, the very moment you believe in Jesus Christ for His promise of everlasting life, you have it (it's really just that simple; nothing more and nothing less), and it can never be taken away from you (John 10:28-29). Furthermore, the gift (Ephesians 2:8c) of everlasting life (also called eternal life in scripture) is available to every human being; there are absolutely no exceptions.

John 3:14-15, 16, 17, 18, says: "14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 15 that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. 18 He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." NKJV

Let us now bow our hearts and take a moment to prepare for worship and learning God's Word. If there is any known sin in your life, this is the time to just cite it privately to God the Father with your thoughts directed towards Him. With your head bowed and your eyes closed, you have total privacy in your mind and soul:

Study to show yourself approved to God!

The prophecy of Daniel 9.
We are called the Temples of God.

God reveals Himself to mankind in Temples today through the bodies of believers who in this dispensation of the Church-age are called the Temple of God. We are called the Temples of God and we are to be a manifestation of the Shekinah glory or God revealed through mankind. Before we see some analogies this evening, let us begin by noting what the phrase the Shekinah glory means. Shekinah is derived from the Hebrew noun Shakan meaning to dwell. It refers to the fact that Jesus Christ indwelt certain sacred buildings in Israel. Shekinah was coined by the rabbis who developed the technical word to speak of God as dwelling among His people. It was used to express the invisible presence of God with Israel.

On the other hand, Glory is the Hebrew word Kabodh, used for the visible manifestations of Jesus Christ as a Theophany. Shekinah itself represents the invisibility of Christ, whereas Kabodh represents the visibility of Christ.

Actually, to the Jews, the Shekinah Glory referred to the God of Israel, the Lord Jesus Christ, actually indwelling three sacred buildings during the age of Israel. He indwelt the Tabernacle, Solomon’s Temple, and Zerubbabel’s Temple. So, make sure you understand that Glory represents the visible manifestation in what is known as a Theophany form.

A Theophany is a manifestation of the person and work of Jesus Christ in His pre-incarnate state. It is a theological term for the appearances of Jesus Christ before the First Advent. For example, the Lord Jesus Christ appeared as the Angel of the Lord, the primary Theophany in the OT. He appeared to Moses in the burning bush, Exo 3:2 cf. Acts 7:30-35.

Exo 3:2, And the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a blazing fire from the midst of a bush; and he looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, yet the bush was not consumed.

Now, who was this? Comparing scripture with scripture, who does Acts 7:30-35 say that it was?

In Acts 7:30, “And after forty years had passed, an angel appeared to him in the wilderness of Mount Sinai, in the flame of a burning thorn bush.”

Then in Acts 7:31, And when Moses saw it, he began to marvel at the sight; and as he approached to look more closely, there came the voice of the Lord. This is the Lord! This is how we know it was the Lord appearing as an angel: Acts 7:32, “I am the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham and Isaac and Jacob.’ And Moses shook with fear and would not venture to look. Acts 7:33-35, But the Lord said to him (Who – the Lord said to him), “Take off the sandals from your feet, for the place on which you are standing is holy ground. the Lord said, I have certainly seen the oppression of My people in Egypt, and have heard their groans, and I have come down to deliver them; come now, and I will send you to Egypt. This Moses whom they disowned, saying, ‘Who made you a ruler and a judge?’ (is the same one who said) – is the one whom God sent to be both a ruler and a deliverer with the help of the angel who appeared to him in the thorn bush.”

As the Angel of God, the Lord Jesus Christ was in the pillar of the cloud by day and the pillar of fire by night to lead Israel through the desert, Exo 13:21; Exo 14:19; Exo 23:20-23. The pillar of cloud by day and the pillar of fire at night was what we call the Glory of God being seen – it was the visible manifestation of the Shekinah. So what I want you to see is that when you are performing divine good and producing good works, people can see those good works at and that is the part of the “glory” of God that can be seen. Whereas the Shekinah, the Lord Jesus Christ, is the invisible power within you that cannot be seen which is what motivated you to produce the good works.

So, the Shekinah is invisible, it is Christ in you. The good works you do are visible, they are the glory of God revealed. Two verses come to mind. First the Shekinah: Gal 2:20, “I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me;” Christ living in you is a reality not an emotional experience. This is the Shekinah, the invisible part that cannot be seen. Then there is the glory, the part that can be seen which is called your good works. In other words, in Matt 5:16, “Let your light [the Shekinah in you] shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works [your glory or you glorifying God] , and glorify your Father who is in heaven.”

The point is that I could show you many other passages that teach that you and me are now a Theophanies of the Lord Jesus Christ in the Church-age! In other words, to break down the Shekinah Glory as far as we are concerned looks like this:

1. Shekinah = indwelling invisibility of Christ in us.

2. Glory = the manifestation of the Lord Jesus Christ by means of bearing fruit.

Shekinah refers to the indwelling of Christ whereas glory refers to the manifestation of that indwelling by means of fulfilling Eph 2:10 we have been created in Christ Jesus for the purpose of performing good works.

So, the point is that just like God will anoint the most place or the Holy Temple when the Millennial reign begins, today God anoints all His Spiritual Temples who are the body of Christ, every Church-age believer. So, this is what the phrase “He will anoint the most holy place” connotes. The analogy is simple but profound: The anointing refers to the indwelling of the Holy Spirit as Christ living through us. The most holy place or the Temple refers to our Body.

So, let’s look at some of the statements that are made about the real and Jewish Temple which will be in Jerusalem during the Millennium and then put our bodies in the passage and make the spiritual applications more real.

Matt 12:1-5, At that time Jesus went on the Sabbath through the grain fields, and His disciples became hungry and began to pick the heads of grain and eat. But when the Pharisees saw it, they said to Him, “Behold, Your disciples do what is not lawful to do on a Sabbath.” But He said to them, “Have you not read what David did, when he became hungry, he and his companions; how he entered the house of God, and they ate the consecrated bread, which was not lawful for him to eat, nor for those with him, but for the priests alone? Or have you not read in the Law, that on the Sabbath the priests in the temple break the Sabbath, and are innocent?”

1. Matt 12:6, “But I say to you, that something greater than the temple is here.”

What is the ‘something greater than the Jewish Temple? Here it refers to the Lord Jesus Christ because He was the first human Temple of God ever to walk the face of this earth. In fact in John 1:14, the apostle John writes “And the Word became flesh, and tabernacled among us, and we beheld His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth”. Notice the two words here, tabernacled and glory.

You and I are in union with the Lord Jesus Christ and we are the spiritual Temple or spiritual Tabernacle that is greater than the Jewish temple that is mentioned in this passage.

2. Our Lord rebuked those in the Jewish Temple who were buying and selling things in the temple which they turned into something like a Flea Market, Matt 21:12, And Jesus entered the temple and cast out all those who were buying and selling in the temple, and overturned the tables of the moneychangers and the seats of those who were selling doves. Here our Lord rebuked those in the Jewish Temple who were buying and selling things in the Jewish temple which they turned into sought of a Flea Market. However, ever more than that, don’t sell your body to the things of the world or the cosmic system. What does this refer to? It refers those who are the spiritual temple of God who try to make money on the other temples of God that are within the local assembly. And the principle is simply this: It’s alright to do business with other believers but not in the Church building which is to be set aside from the world and for the ultimate purpose of learning doctrine.

3. In Matt 21:12-14, the Temple of our Lord or His body, should never be sold; – As a Temple of God, You don’t sell out or compromise your biblical standards. Matt 21:12-14, And Jesus entered the temple [or when Jesus enters into the believer] and cast out all those who were buying and selling in the temple, and overturned the tables of the moneychangers and the seats of those who were selling doves. And He said to them, “It is written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer’; but you are making it a robber’s den.” And the blind and the lame came to Him in the temple, and He healed them.

Notice that those who needed healing came to the Temple which you are today. So it means that God desires you to live as a believer who is always ready to help those who are hurt. Also notice that He fed the people and healed them from sicknesses and diseases and did so for no charge. As Mic 3:11 teaches that the religious leaders were condemned by God because it says Her leaders pronounce judgment for a bribe, Her priests instruct for a price, And her prophets divine for money. Yet they lean on the Lord saying, “Is not the Lord in our midst? Calamity will not come upon us.” They had a false security because they were making money in the Jewish Temple and called it the blessing of God.

4. As the Temple of our Lord, we should never be hypocritical; Matt 23:16-18. The Pharisees were specialized hypocrites and that is why our Lord rebuked them for being hypocritical in their Temple dealings.

Matt 23:16-17, “Woe to you, blind guides, who say, ‘Whoever swears by the temple, that is nothing; but whoever swears by the gold of the temple, he is obligated.’ You fools and blind men; which is more important, the gold, or the temple that sanctified the gold?”

The Pharisees always made an issue out of money and here TLJC is revealing their hypocrisy of using religion as a cover for their love for money.

5. The Temple was where our Lord taught and therefore as the Temple of our Lord we should always be ready to teach those who desire to learn.

Matt 26:55, At that time Jesus said to the multitudes, “Have you come out with swords and clubs to arrest Me as against a robber? Every day I used to sit in the temple teaching and you did not seize Me.”

Notice how our Lord had no fear in the temple and spoke the word in the temple Himself though there were those who hated Him an wanted to kill Him. In other words, He taught, even in place where He was not welcomed. As Jesus Christ dwells within us, He desires to use you as the Temple that He speaks through today.

Again You are His Temple that He is indwelling today. You are a walking Temple of God.

As a walking Temple of God you should walk by faith, not by sight (2Co 5:7).

As a walking Temple of God, you should walk in newness of life (Rom 6:4).

As a walking Temple of God you should walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh (Gal 5:16).

As a walking Temple of God you should walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called (Eph 4:1).

As a walking Temple of God you should be careful how you walk, not as unwise men, but as wise (Eph 5:15).

As a walking Temple of God you should walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God (Col 1:10).

As a walking Temple of God you should walk in the light as He Himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin (1Jo 1:7).

6. In Mar 11:16, the Temple of our Lord would never condone a business, that is in the church, Mar 11:16 and He would not permit anyone to carry goods through the temple. We need to be on our God and not let our human temple allow individuals to make a business in the local assembly. As I mentioned many times before, Christians can be the best in the world and also the worse, especially when it comes to money.

7. In Matt 27:51, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom which is analogous to our Lord “opening up the veil that separated man from God” in the Jewish temple, so that nothing separate us from Him now because he dwells in the Temple of our body. Because Jesus Christ indwells us, He desires us to live for Him because of the veil being torn in two which opened up a face-to-face access and opportunity for us to face the Lord personally knowing nothing can ever separate us from the love God in Christ Jesus.

So, by being a Temple for our Lord to indwell, the ripping of the veil means we can have a face to face fellowship with Him. Remember, we are always to pray to the Father, in the name of the Son, being filled with the Spirit. As long as we are filled with the Spirit we can talk to the Father, we can talk to the Son and we can even talk to the Spirit whenever we desire, but that’s fellowship with them not prayer.

8. In Luk 19:47 As there was always opposition and obstacles in the Jewish Temple, there will always be those who try to oppose us and stop our spiritual momentum because we are now the Temple of God. In the literal, Temple there were always legalistic self-righteous individuals preparing to destroy our Lord.

Luk 19:47, And He was teaching daily in the temple; but the chief priests and the scribes and the leading men among the people were trying to destroy Him,

Under the principle of Satan being an arrogant genius and the fact that he has been around ever since the Church-age began, he knows that all believers in the Church-age is where the Lord Jesus Christ now indwells. And just like he did in the Old Testament he now does in the New Testament. In the Old Testament, Satan always attacked the Jewish Temple of God. Therefore, in the New Testament, Satan and his kingdom of darkness always does the same thing, he is always attacking the people of God who are now the spiritual temple where the Lord indwells now.

9. In John 2:18-19, the Temple was the place where our Lord taught the doctrine of the resurrection.

John 2:18-21, The Jews therefore answered and said to Him, “What sign do You show to us, seeing that You do these things?” Jesus answered and said to them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.” The Jews therefore said, “It took forty six years to build this temple, and will You raise it up in three days?” But He was speaking of the temple of His body.

The resurrection of our Lord is extremely important for us, as living Temples of God, to learn and to teach others.

Why?

Because there are many individuals who say that all you have to do is simply believe God, you know faith alone in Christ alone. And that is true! But you have to describe what faith alone in Christ means. It means you have to have faith alone in what the Lord says and does. In other words, you have to believe in what the mind of Christ said when He spoke to the apostle Paul who was inspired by God the Holy Spirit in Rom 10:8-13.

Rom 10:8, But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” that is, the word of faith which we are preaching,

Here is where salvation is not based upon the fact that someone says “I believe in God.” Because the Bible says in Jam 2:19, You believe that God is one. You do well; the demons also believe, and shudder. It is not believing in God that saves you, it is believing in what the apostle Paul said known as “Paul’s Gospel” in many circles. You have to believe in Rom 10:9 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved;

10. The Temple of God was also respected as a place of prayer, so should we be temples gathering together with one another in prayer; Acts 3:1, Now Peter and John were going up to the temple at the ninth hour, the hour of prayer. The analogy is just as the Temple was used for believers to gather together for prayer, today the Temples of God ought to be doing the same. And that could be just a family praying together. You see, one of the most misunderstood principles concerning the doctrine of prayer that I have discovered in the last 35 years is the misconception of numbers and time. It doesn’t matter at all to God how many are praying together and how long one prays. Don’t get in bondage to those books about certain individuals who spend hours and hours on their knees praying which do nothing more but make the average believer feel inferior and insecure concerning prayer.

Psa 138:2 b, I give thanks to Thy name for Thy lovingkindness and Thy truth; For Thou hast magnified Your Word according to all Thy name.

John 12:47-48, “And if anyone hears My sayings, and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world. He who rejects Me, and does not receive My sayings, has one who judges him; the word I spoke is what will judge him at the last day.”

11. The born-again believer, as a temple that the Lord indwells is superior to the earthly temple in Acts 17:24, “The God who made the world and all things in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands;

This points to the superiority of the spiritual temples (us), over the natural Temple which will elevated and cherished by all of God’s people because it will a reminder or a visual aid during the Millennial reign of what God had done in that Temple throughout the dispensation of the Law.

12. As a temple of God, the temple of God should never be used for compromise; 2Co 6:14-18.

13. Being a Temple of God that God can use as He indwells your body, you will be recognized in the Historical Section called the Pillars of History in the eternal state as the Church-age temple is acknowledged, promoted, and blessed is acknowledged as a winner.

14. Ultimately the real meaning and the whole purpose of the Temple is for glorification of God the Father, God the Son, Rev 21:22, And I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God, the Almighty, and the Lamb, are its temple.

Preparing yourself for the study of God’s Word

Before we begin, if you are a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ (that is— you have trusted in Him for eternal life), it is important to prepare yourself to take-in God’s Word so take a moment to name, cite or acknowledge your sins privately directly to God the Father. This will assure that you are in fellowship with God the Father and the Holy Spirit’s convicting ministry, also called the convincing ministry will then be able to teach you as the Holy Spirit is the real teacher and the pastor’s message is the vehicle the Holy Spirit uses to convince you what you are learning is true or not.

1 John 1:9 says—“If we confess [simply name, cite or acknowledge to God the Father] our sins [known sins], He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins [known sins] and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness [all unknown and forgotten sins].” NKJV (New King James Version)

If you have never personally believed in the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior (that is, believed in Him for eternal life), the issue for you is not to name your sins to God; the issue for you is to believe by faith alone in Jesus Christ alone for eternal life and you will be saved the very second you believe in Him:

John 6:47 says: “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me [Jesus Christ] has everlasting life.” NKJV

Notice again what John 6:47 says, “he who believes in Me [Jesus Christ] has everlasting life.” It doesn’t say, “will have”; it says, “has.” Therefore, the very moment you believe Jesus Christ’s promise of everlasting life, you have it (it’s really just that simple), and it can never be lost or taken away from you (John 10:28-29). Furthermore, the gift of everlasting life (also called eternal life in scripture) is available to every human being; there are absolutely no exceptions.

John 3:14-18 says: “And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” NKJV

Let us now bow our hearts and take a moment to prepare for learning God’s Word, if there is any known sin in your life, this is the time to just cite it privately to God the Father with your thoughts directed towards Him. With your head bowed and your eyes closed, you have total privacy in your mind and soul:

Doctrine of the Pivot; Part 28. The year the Roman Catholic Church began its world-wide power and the year it lost its world-wide power.

1. There are Two World Powers which are symbolized in Rev 13. Who or What is the first beast or power mentioned?

Answer = The beast with seven heads is none other than referring to the Roman Empire, especially the Roman papacy or the RCC and the place of the Pope.

2. In what year was the RCC and the papacy (Pope) predicted to lose its world influence and power?

We are talking about periods of time when the RCC and its pope had world influence and world power which began in 538 AD and continued for 1260 years and then the RCC and the papacy lost its hold and influence that it had around the world.

2. In what year was the papacy predicted to lose its world influence and power?

The papacy began its reign in 538 AD upon Emperor Justinian’s decree that the RCC and the papacy were elevated above all other Christian churches and religious organizations under the military direction and protection of General Belisarius.
In biblical prophecy, 42 months = 3.5 years or 1,260 days and that in biblical prophecy days can also refer to years depending on the subject of the prophecy.

We function under the biblical prophecy principle that says that the number 1,260 days can also refer to 1260 years, under the day-year principle then the prophecy given in Rev 13 meets a unique fulfillment.

Many people worship the dragon or the devil today without even knowing they are because they are worshipping a religious organization that promotes another Jesus, another Gospel, and another spirit.

John 8:44 “You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature; for he is a liar, and the father of lies.”

Notice 42 months under the 30 day a month calendar = 1260 days or in the day-year prophecy = 1260 years.

In 538 A.D. the Ostragoths abandoned their siege of Rome and this left the Bishop of Rome to exercise the prerogatives of Justinian’s decree and then the power and the authority of the Papacy grew, and grew, and grew.

Justinian was a Christian emperor of Rome who appointed a man called Pope Vigilius to be one the leaders of all the churches, as the absolute and final authority throughout the Roman Empire.

Pro 8:15 states “By me kings reign, And rulers decree justice.”

Justinian decreed or put into law the fact that verse referred to the pope of Rome given absolute authority to the RCC and the papacy.
This gave one man the final authority in the Roman empire and the RCC, thank God he did not have this authority throughout the entire world, basically because of the Protestant religion which eventually also ended up in their own system of apostasy.

That one man at the time who was the first pope given all that authority Pope Vigilius (died 7 June 555), he was Pope from 29 March 537 to his death in 555.

He is considered the first pope of the Byzantine Papacy which refers to the Roman empire of the East.

Question: “Wasn’t Saint Peter the first pope?”
Answer: The Roman Catholic Church says that Peter was the first pope upon whom God had chosen to build His church upon, using Matt 16:18, to back up this assertion.

Peter, who He called petros meaning a chip out of the stone or a part of the rock, that and upon this rock, the he used the word Petra, meaning the massive rock, the fact that He is Messiah.

For when the Lord said, “Upon this rock I will build my church”, He used the fut-act-ind of oikodomeo [to build] which means that the church did not exist at the time that the Lord said it, it was future.

Eph 2:20-22, that we have been built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the corner stone, in whom the whole building, being fitted together is growing into a holy temple in the Lord; in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling of God in the Spirit.

We are all little chips out of the rock, but he, TLJC is the Rock, the only Rock, 1Co 10:4 we all drank the same spiritual drink, for they were drinking from a spiritual rock which followed them; and the rock was Christ.

1Pe 2:4-5, And coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected by men, but choice and precious in the sight of God, you also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house for a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

The Roman Catholic Church maintains that sometime after the recorded events of the book of Acts, the Apostle Peter became the first bishop of Rome, and that the Roman bishop was accepted by the early church as the central authority among all of the churches.

This teaching that the RCC said that God passed on Peter’s apostolic authority to the subsequent bishops is referred to as “apostolic succession.”

The Roman Catholic Church also holds that Peter and the subsequent popes were and are infallible when addressing and issues in the World-wide Church from their position and authority as pope.

The Roman Catholic Church claims that it can trace an unbroken line of popes back to St. Peter, citing this as evidence that it is the true church, since, according to their interpretation of Matthew 16:18, Christ built His church upon Peter.

While Peter was central in the early spread of the gospel (part of the meaning behind Matthew 16:18-19), the teaching of Scripture, taken in context, nowhere declares that he was in authority over the other apostles, or over the entire church.

For in Acts 15:1-23 compared to Gal 2:1-14, even the apostle Paul rebuked peter for his compromises with the early Christian and Jews.

Even Peter knew his place for 1Pe 5:1-5, he said he was a fellow apostle, or fellow elder and that there is one leader over one local church or assembly whether it is face-to-face or non face-to-face.

Nowhere does Scripture state that, in order to keep the church from error, the authority of the apostles was passed on to those they ordained (the idea behind apostolic succession).

What Scripture DOES teach is that false teachings would arise and claim apostolic authority even from among themselves, Acts 20:28-30.

Nowhere in his writings (1 and 2 Peter) did the Apostle Peter claim any special role, authority, or power over the church.

Nowhere in Scripture does Peter, or any other apostle, state that their apostolic authority would be passed on to successors.

It is true that Peter played a crucial role in the early spread of the Gospel; (Acts chapters 1-10).

Yes, it is true that Peter was a “rock” as a winner believer that Christ predicted he would be, (Matt 16:18).

Peter himself points us all to the true Shepherd and Overseer of the church, the Lord Jesus Christ (1Pe 2:25).

1Pe 2:25 For you were continually straying like sheep, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Guardian of your souls.

The first pope who came into power when Rome began its power in the Catholic Church was Pope Vigilius.

Exactly 1260 years later the Papacy suffered its “deathblow,” it lost its world-wide power and authority that it is also claimed in the political realm.

The spectacular victories of the armies of Napoleon in Italy placed the Pope at the mercy of the French Revolutionary Government, which now advised that the Roman Religion would always be a persistent enemy of the Republic.

The government urged Napoleon to destroy the center of unity of the Roman church, and Napoleon did just that.

In 1798 the French General Berthier, with a French army, marched into Rome and proclaimed the political rule of the Papacy at an end and took the Pope prisoner.

The 1260 year rule of the Papacy was finished or we could say the reference to the First Beast being the Roman Catholic church with the pope ruling the world seized.

If the prophecy is correct, 1260 years after 538 AD the beast must receive a mortal wound, Rev 13:3.

If you add 1260 years to the beginning year that the Roman Catholic church took over which was 538 AD, you will arrive in the year 1798 AD.
1,260
+ 538
= 1,798

First understand, according to the prophecy, we learn that, “He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword…” Rev 13:10.

The prophecy is telling us that the beast would be destroyed with the sword (sword = a reference to the military) at the end of its reign of exactly 1260 years.

On February 10th Napoleon Bonaparte in that EXACT year 1798 A.D. sent his General Louis Alexandre Berthier, with his army into Rome, Italy.

“In 1798 General Berthier made his entrance into Rome, abolished the papal government, and established a secular one.” – says the Encyclopedia Britannica 1941 edition

That’s Exactly 42 prophetic months, or 1260 years, sometimes also called a time, and times, and dividing a time after the Papacy began its powerful reign that the Pope “shall go into captivity” by the military.
2. In what year was the papacy predicted to lose its world influence and power?

Answer: The Bible predicted that the papacy would lose its world influence and power at the end of the 42 months. This prophecy was fulfilled in 1798, when Napoleon’s General Berthier took the pope captive and the papal power received its deadly wound.

The prophecy of Daniel 9.
The mystery behind the anointing of
the Holy Place or your Human Body.

Dan 9:24, “Seventy weeks have been decreed for your people and your holy city, to finish the transgression, to make an end of sin, to make atonement for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the most holy place.”

The Hebrew word for anoint has a few definitions, the word is ‎mashach and usually it means to anoint; to set apart for God’s service, to sanctify him, to approve one for doing the work of the Lord.

Secondly, it also means to put one’s stamp of approval on the one you have anointed as an authorizing agent; to be held in special regard, it emphasizes the special relationship between God and the one who has been anointed. This actually refers to a time when God will indwell all the Jewish people who become born again and saved for the first time. Remember in the Old Testament there was a different indwelling ministry for the Jews than there will be in the Millennial reign.

Part of God’s blessing of anointing the Holy Place refers to the Temple in Jerusalem which, for the first time, will be filled with born-again Jewish people. They never had this type of blessing in the OT. Two passages bring this out: Eze 36:25-31; Jer 31:31-34.

Eze 36:24-31, “For I will take you from the nations, gather you from all the lands, and bring you into your own land. Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will be careful to observe My ordinances. And you will live in the land that I gave to your forefathers; so you will be My people, and I will be your God. Moreover, I will save you from all your uncleanness; and I will call for the grain and multiply it, and I will not bring a famine on you. And I will multiply the fruit of the tree and the produce of the field, that you may not receive again the disgrace of famine among the nations. Then you will remember your evil ways and your deeds that were not good, and you will loathe yourselves in your own sight for your iniquities and your abominations.”

Jer 31:31-34, “Behold, days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah, not like the covenant which I made with their fathers in the day I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, although I was a husband to them, declares the Lord. But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the Lord, I will put My law within them, and on their heart I will write it; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. And they shall not teach again, each man his neighbor and each man his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they shall all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, declares the Lord, for I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.”

In the OT not too many believers had the Holy Spirit living in them and then for just short periods of time, but in the Millennium, all the Jewish believers will be indwelt by the Holy Spirit. They will not lose the Spirit as they did in the OT. That’s why David prayed in Psa 51:10-12, “Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me away from Thy presence, And do not take Thy Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Thy salvation or Your deliverance, And sustain me with a willing spirit.”

The difference between the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in the O.T. and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in the N.T. is found in two words enablement the other is called the enduement. What is the difference? Enduement is defined as the divine power of God the Holy Spirit to certain Old Testament believers. However, as we saw, only a small percentage of O.T. believers had anything to do with the enduement of God the Holy Spirit. On the other hand, we, as Church-age believers, have the enabling power of God the Holy Spirit given to us.

In every dispensation all believers are saved the same way, faith alone in Christ alone, as Gen 15:6 teaches. In Gen 15:6, Then he believed in the Lord; and He reckoned it to him as righteousness. This has to do with faith alone, in Christ alone. However, God the Holy Spirit did not fill the Old Testament believers as He does for the N.T. believers, where He gives us all the same privileges and opportunities to operate in the power o God. So, the difference between the enablement and the enduement is that one you could lose, the other you could never lose in spite of what you did.

The real issue in our passage of Dan 9 is that the anointing of the most holy place deals not so much with the literal meaning, but really the spiritual meaning. So, rather than focusing on the literal meaning of the most Holy place, which has to do with the fact the there will come a time when the Temple for the Jews will be rebuilt and restored: I have decided to focus in on the spiritual application of what this means for us, as believers in the Church-age.

1. The Holy Spirit indwells the body of the believer at the moment of salvation to provide the divine power to offset the continued presence of the old sin nature.

2. The Holy Spirit indwells the body of the believer also as a sign of the Royal family status, which is superior to being in the family of God, as believers in past dispensations were.

3. The primary objective of the indwelling of Holy Spirit is to provide divine energy or power to execute the Christian way of life. One of the intentions of the ministry of God the Holy Spirit is to change or transform us into the image of Christ! 2Co 3:18, But we all, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.

So, What is the “most Holy place”?

It refers to the Millennium Temple when the Jews will reign with Christ and with His people for a thousand-year Millennial reign. However, it also refers to the human body, which is now the Temple of the living God. There is a direct relationship between the anointing and the indwelling of the lord Jesus Christ as the Shekinah glory or God revealed and seen through mankind. What we are going to see is that believers are now a manifestation of the Shekinah glory or God revealed in mankind. And just like God will anoint the most place or the Holy Temple when the Millennial reign begins, right now He is anointing a spiritual Temple which is what you I really are and why we are called the Temple of God.

1Co 3:11, For no man can lay a foundation other than the one which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if any man builds upon the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, each man’s work will become evident; for the day will show it, because it is to be revealed with fire; and the fire itself will test the quality of each man’s work. If any man’s work which he has built upon it remains, he shall receive a reward. If any man’s work is burned up, he shall suffer loss; but he himself shall be saved, yet so as through fire. Do you not know that you are a temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If any man destroys the temple of God, God will destroy him, for the temple of God is holy, and that is what you are.

You and I are called the Temple of God.

He also said this in 1Co 6:19-20, Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? For you have been bought with a price: therefore, glorify God in your body.

2Co 6:16, Or what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; just as God said, “I will dwell in them and walk among them; And I will be their God, and they shall be My people.

Speaking of growing in the Church, Paul said in Eph 2:21, in whom the whole building, being fitted together is growing into a Holy temple in the Lord. When our Lord comes back to anoint the most holy place or His temple, in Dan 9:24, He is not doing anything new because he has been anointing us as the temple of God ever since the Church-age began. In fact the analogy is simple but profound: The anointing refers to the indwelling of the HS. The most holy place or the Temple refers to our Body.

Rev 21:1-3, And I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth passed away, and there is no longer any sea. And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, made ready as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is among men, and He shall dwell among them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself shall be among them,

In Rev 21:22 the Lord is called a temple. Speaking of the new Heaven Rev 21:22-24, “And I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God, the Almighty, and the Lamb, are its temple. And the city has no need of the sun or of the moon to shine upon it, for the glory of God has illumined it, and its lamp is the Lamb. And the nations shall walk by its light, and the kings of the earth shall bring their glory into it.”

Over and over again we keep having hints concerning what the spiritual Temple is all about. And it’s vital that we understand this our Lord wants to us and our body as a vehicle to express His love for all. And we, or our body is the vehicle He desires to use. The apostle Paul put this principle in another way.

2Co 3:2-3, You are our letter, written in our hearts, known and read by all men; being manifested that you are a letter of Christ, cared for by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone, but on tablets of human hearts.

Your life is a walking book – here Paul calls it a letter — people are reading you without you even being aware of it at the time. This is why Paul said what he did to the Romans in Rom 6:13 and do not go on presenting the members of your body to sin as instruments of unrighteousness; but present yourselves to God as those alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.

Rom 12:1, I urge you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.

1Co 6:13 b, Yet the body is not for immorality, but for the Lord; and the Lord is for the body.

There was never was a time in history when some part of the world did not see the Lord. That’s the doctrine of Theophanies. A Theophany is a manifestation of the person and work of Jesus Christ in His pre-incarnate state. It is a theological term for the appearances of Jesus Christ before the First Advent. For example, He appeared as the Angel of the Lord, the primary Theophany in the OT.

He appeared to Moses in the burning bush, Exo 3:2 cf. Acts 7:30 35.

Exo 3:2, And the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a blazing fire from the midst of a bush; and he looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, yet the bush was not consumed.

Comparing scripture with scripture, who does Acts 7:30-35 say that it was?

Acts 7:30-35, And after forty years had passed, an angel appeared to him in the wilderness of Mount Sinai, in the flame of a burning thorn bush. And when Moses saw it, he began to marvel at the sight; and as he approached to look more closely, there came the voice of the Lord: ‘I am the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham and Isaac and Jacob.’ And Moses shook with fear and would not venture to look. But the Lord said to him, ‘Take off the sandals from your feet, for the place on which you are standing is holy ground. the Lord said, “I have certainly seen the oppression of My people in Egypt, and have heard their groans, and I have come down to deliver them; come now, and I will send you to Egypt.’ This Moses whom they disowned, saying, ‘Who made you a ruler and a judge?’ – is the one whom God sent to be both a ruler and a deliverer with the help of the angel who appeared to him in the thorn bush.

As the Angel of God, the Lord was in the pillar of the cloud by day and the pillar of fire by night to lead Israel through the desert, Exo 13:21; Exo 14:19; Exo 23:20 23, 32:34, 33:2; Num 20:16; Isa 63:9. The point is that I could show you many other passages that teach that you and me are now a Theophanies of the Lord in the Church-age! Your body is literally the temple of God or the dwelling place of where He now lives, whether it is times of darkness or light.

Let’s look at some of the statements made about the literal temple and apply it to ourselves being our Lord’s spiritual temple, which is our body.

Matt 12:6, “But I say to you, that something greater than the temple is here.

And what is the greater than the literal Temple? Of course, the spiritual meaning over the natural.

Hymn #2

Doctrine of the Pivot; Part 27. The Completion of the Eight identity’s of the first beast.

Point 5. America and Biblical Prophecy and the Role of the Pivot in the Last Days.

IDENTITY 1 – is found in Rev 17:1 which says “Come here, I shall show you the judgment of the great harlot who sits on many waters,

IDENTITY 2 – Rev 17:2….says “The kings of the earth committed acts of immorality, and those who dwell on the earth were made drunk with the wine of her immorality.”

IDENTITY 3 – Rev 17:3 “I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast, full of blasphemous names, having seven heads and ten horns.”

IDENTITY 4 – Rev 17:4 And the woman was clothed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls, having in her hand a gold cup full of abominations and of the unclean things of her immorality,

IDENTITY 5 – Rev 17:5 and upon her forehead a name was written, a mystery, “BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.”

IDENTITY 6 – found in Rev 17:6 And I saw the woman drunk with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the witnesses of Jesus.

It doesn’t say she just “has the blood of saints on her hands” but it says that she is “DRUNK” with the blood of God’s people.

Did you know that the Roman Catholic Church has caused TENS OF MILLIONS of Christians to be persecuted and brutally murdered?

IDENTITY 7 – Rev 17:18 “And the woman whom you saw is the great city, which reigns over the kings of the earth.”

What is the one city which is also a church that “reigns” over the nations of the world? = RCC

What one city, which is known for its church has diplomatic relations with virtually all the world’s nations? = VATICAN CITY!

“Her large diplomatic corps maintains relations with more than 100 nations.” (Reports the U.S. News and World Report, October 30, 1978, p. 24)

There is only 16 more nations left for her to have FULL UNION with the whole world!

IDENTITY 8 – Rev 17:6 And when I saw her, I wondered greatly.

What is the one church that people would look at with awe and wonder? = The Roman Catholic Church, with all her splendor and pomp.

Millions of people flock to the Vatican each year and wonder at the “majesty” and splendor of the place.

This verse is tied in with the persecution by their power upon God’s people throughout the ages.

John already has seen great persecution upon God’s people at the hands of Pagan Rome when he was alive.

John sees an actual professed Christian church doing the persecution and killing God’s own people.

John 16:2-3, “They will make you outcasts from the synagogue, but an hour is coming for everyone who kills you to think that he is offering service to God.”

John 16:3 “And these things they will do, because they have not known the Father, or Me.”

The angel showed him the blood that the Roman Church, a professed church of Christ, was to spill in the name of Jesus.

1. The first statement and question was the fact that There are Two World Powers which are symbolized in Revelation chapter 13. Who or what is the first power?

The Answer for now is the fact that: The beast with seven heads is none other than the Roman Empire, especially the Roman papacy or the RCC and the place of the Pope.

2. In what year was the papacy predicted to lose its world influence and power?
When we talk about the influence and power of the papacy, we are talking about periods of time when the RCC and its pope had world influence and world power.

There was a time when there was really no such thing as the separation of Church and State, they were one and the same when it came to world power, politics and religion.

In what year was the papacy predicted to lose its world influence and power?

The Answer: Historical records reveal the papacy began its reign in 538 AD upon Emperor Justinian’s decree, and under the military protection of General (bela-sarious) Belisarius.

General Belisarius was one of the last important figures in the Roman military tradition, he led imperial armies against the Persian Empire, the Ostrogothic regime of Italy, and the barbarian tribes attacking Constantinople.

The Bible says the beast will rule for EXACTLY 1260 years before receiving a mortal wound, Rev 13:5.

First beast = emphasizes powerful religious organization.

Second beast = emphasizes powerful military organization.

In the interpretations we are dealing one beast which already was and another which is to come, but for the apostle John both these beasts were future as a far as he was concerned.

Rev 13 was probably written in 96 AD

First beast – lived from 538-1798 AD

Second Beast = Future beast {?}
{96 AD – 1st Beast 538-1798 AD {2nd Beast — ?}

In biblical prophecy, 42 months = 3.5 years or 1,260 days which also in biblical prophecy can refer to 1,260 years.

A period of only 1260 literal days, only 3 12 years, falls ridiculously short of fulfilling the requirements of the 1260-day prophecy in regard to the Rome and the Roman Catholic Church and the papacy.

When we function under the biblical prophecy principle that says that the number 1,260 days can also refer to years, the year-day principle of biblical prophecy is extended to 1260 years, and then the prophecy meets a unique fulfillment.

In 538 A.D. the Ostragoths abandoned their siege of Rome — and this left the Bishop of Rome to exercise the prerogatives of Justinian’s decree of 533 A.D. and then the power and the authority of the Papacy grew, and grew, and grew.

Justinian was a Christian emperor of Rome who appointed a man called Pope Vigilius to be one the leaders of all the churches, as the absolute and final authority throughout the Roman Empire.

Pro 8:15 “By me kings reign, And rulers decree justice.” Justinian decreed or put into law the fact that verse referred to the pope of Rome given absolute authority to the RCC and the papacy.

“The heart of the King is in the hand of God, and it will incline to whatever side God wishes”; that is to say, that He may confirm your empire, and maintain your kingdoms for the peace of the Church and the unity of religion.

“The heart of the King is in the hand of God, in other words whatever the king says, is from God.”

Then notice, the next part of the statement, “And it [the heart of the pope] will incline or reveal to whatever side God wishes”]

“That is to say, that he [the Roman pope or the pope of Rome] may confirm your empire, and maintain your kingdoms for the peace of the Church and the unity of religion.”

This gave one man the final authority in the Roman empire and the RCC, thank God he did not have this authority throughout the world, basically because of the Protestant religion.

The first pope was Pope Vigilius (died 7 June 555), he was Pope from 29 March 537 to his death in 555.

Byzantine refers to the Roman empire of the East.

Question: “Was Saint Peter the first pope?”

Answer: No, BUT the Roman Catholic Church sees Peter as the first pope upon whom God had chosen to build His church (Matt 16:18).

He said you are Peter or petros, a chip out of the stone or a part of the rock, and upon this rock, Petra, the massive rock, the fact that

He is Messiah, as Peter said in Matt 16:16 Thou art the Christ the Son of the living God, I will build My church.

“Upon this rock I will build my church”, He used the fut-act-ind of oikodomeo [to build] which means that the church did not exist at the time that the Lord said it, it was future.

Our Lord said you are Peter or petros, a chip out of the stone or a part of the rock, and upon this rock, Petra, the massive rock, which is the fact that Jesus Christ is the Messiah.

Like Peter we are all little chips out of the rock, but he, TLJC is the Rock, the only Rock, 1Co 10:4 we all drank the same spiritual drink, for they were drinking from a spiritual rock which followed them; and the rock was Christ.

The RCC maintains that sometime after the recorded events of the book of Acts, the Apostle Peter became the first bishop of Rome, and that the Roman bishop was accepted by the early church as the central authority among all of the churches.

This teaching that God passed on Peter’s apostolic authority to the subsequent bishops is referred to as “apostolic succession.”

The RCC claims that it can trace an unbroken line of Popes back to St. Peter, citing this as evidence that it is the true church, since, according to their interpretation of Matthew 16:18, Christ built His church upon Peter.

The 1260-year rule of the Papacy was finished or we could say the reference to the First Beast being the Roman Catholic church with the pope ruling the world seized.

If the prophecy is correct, 1260 years after 538 AD the beast must receive a mortal wound, Rev 13:3.

If you add 1260 years to the beginning year that the Roman Catholic church took over which was 538 AD, you will arrive in the year 1798 AD.

1,260 + 538 = 1,798

Hymn #2

NOTES
Unlike the bible study, these notes are not just for the reading without the video. These notes are more designed to follow along during the sermon and to bring up the “hover pop-up scripture references” when the Pastor asks everyone to turn to that passage in their bibles or as a memory jogger for review after you’ve viewed the video Sermon.

Doctrine of the Pivot; Part 26. Babylon the great, the mother of all harlots.

Point 5. America and Biblical Prophecy and the Role of the Pivot in the Last Days.

IDENTITY 5 = Rev 17:5 and upon her forehead a name was written, a mystery, “BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.”

Eze 8, if you recall the secret rooms in the Temple which are called “the chambers of imagery or images.”

We can learn a lot from this passage because one of the signs of an apostate religion, especially in the cults, are the secret things that go on within the organization that’s being mentioned.

It is called a mystery because it is a counterfeit church based upon lies not the true mysteries of the faith which is different.

Eph 1:9 “God has made known to us the mystery of His will,”

The RCC and the papacy did what all cults do, they keep the mysteries hidden from the majority.

In Eze 8, you recall the secret rooms in the Temple which we call “the chambers of imagery or images.”

It can happen to a pseudo Christian organization, it happens in cults, like the Mormons, the free-masonries, and it can even happen to a believer on a personal basis.

Prov 24:3-4, By wisdom [metabolized doctrine] a house [or an edification complex or soul structure] is built, And by understanding [doctrinal insight] it is established [one prepares himself]; And by knowledge, the rooms [of the soul] are filled with all precious and pleasant riches = [means something of value and something stimulating]. A wise man is strong, And a man of knowledge increases power. The Hebrew word for man is geber which means a soldier, a warrior, a valiant person in the spiritual realm.

Prov 24:5-6, A wise soldier is strong [which means he lives in the power of bible doctrine], And a man of knowledge [doctrinal insight] increases power [the power to resist the kingdom of darkness and hold your ground]. For by wise guidance [guidance from bible doctrine] you will wage war [know when to be on the offensive and know when to be on the defensive], And in abundance of counselors [counsels from bible doctrine] there is victory.

Eph 4:27 “Stop giving the devil an opportunity or a room.” I’m talking about certain problems that exist that in many cases, they are not even aware of the fact that a problem does exist.

The NKJ version says in Psa 19:12 Who can understand his errors? Cleanse me from secret faults.

There is a secret room in every heart where the soul stores up its skeletons, and in many cases, refuses to even admit that there’s a problem.

There is something in every soul that is never told to others but at certain times is brought to the surface by God.

These things are totally different and contrary to the character of the individual and therefore are suppressed and hidden in the secret chamber of men’s hearts.

These things either give an individual a low self-image or produce arrogance because of self-justification.

They hinder and sometimes even destroy a believer’s confidence with their relationship with God.

1Co 4:4 “I’m not conscious of anything that I’m doing which is wrong but that doesn’t acquit me or vindicate me, the one who examines me is the Lord.”

Many believers have skeletons in their closet or what is known as a secret room which is very confidential, private, and undisclosed.

Eze 8 gives us a picture of these rooms in the temple in the Old Testament, and believe it or not these same principles took place and have been taken place in the RCC, also identified as the great harlot, for years.

1Co 3:16 Do you not know that you are a temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?

The appearance of fire represents the vengeance of God against the wickedness which was going on in the Temple.

The appearance of brightness reveals His majesty as in 1Ti 6:16 who alone possesses immortality and dwells in unapproachable light;

The idol or the image of jealousy was probably Baal or Asherah, whose image had already been placed in the temple by Manasseh in 2Ki 21:7.

1. The worship of a physical object or objects as God.

2. Inordinate attachment or extreme devotion to something.

An idol is actually defined as an object of extreme devotion, hence, it could be almost anything in a person’s life.

Jealousy is used as an anthropopathism which explains divine policy in terms of man’s frame of reference.

The Shekinah glory was still in the Temple even though there was an idol which was being worshipped secretly by the elders in the Temple.

Even though a believer might have a secret room in the soul which he has given over to the Satan and the kingdom of darkness through self-centeredness, the TLJC still doesn’t leave the believer’s body.

Actually what we have in this passage is the fact that the Jewish king and the Jewish elders would allow their friends and the people to go into every part of the Temple except one.

Just like a lot of believers can look like they have everything together as the temple of God and yet there may be areas in their life that need to be dealt with… however, only by them.

Matt 23:27 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which on the outside appear beautiful, but inside they are full of dead men’s bones and all uncleanness.

John 7:24 “Do not judge according to appearance”

First of all, remember once again, that you are the temple of God,
1Co 3:16; 1Co 6:19.

The idol may be wealth, pleasure, sex, a desire for power, prestige, a relationship, family, it could be almost anything; “in the room of his carved images?” is translated in the K.J.s “in the chambers of his imagery” which is a little more applicable in our day and age.

Many believers have a room or rooms in their soul where in their imagination, they have developed certain idols in life.

There are rooms in the souls of multitudes of Christians where there are all kinds of idols, errors, secret faults, fears, insecurities and doubts.

Just like this room in the temple was sealed off, many believers seal off their own room as well.

Sometimes this room is filled with the idol of fear, worry, anxiety.

Sometimes with the idol of lust or love for money.

Sometimes it’s a room of insecurity, instability and doubt.

Sometimes it’s a room where personal weaknesses are allowed to continue because the individual does not know how to overcome them…or in some cases, doesn’t want to.

John 16:33 “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.”

The overcomers will have special privileges related to the tree of life, the gazebo of the garden, called the paradise of God.

In Rev 2:11, those who are winners receive their new name or new title shall not be hurt by the Second death which means that they will not see anyone they love cast into the lake of fire.

There seems to be a mystery concerning the mature believer and blessing by association because Rev 20:14 says And death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire.

In Rev 2:17, the overcomers are given a new order of knighthood and eternal order of chivalry which will be added to the believer’s name in the Lamb’s Book of Life forever.

In Rev 2:26, overcomers who receive a new name are given power and authority to rule nations.

The overcomer will be a king over a Gentile city, state, or even nation and will rule during the Millennium.

In Rev 3:5, the overcomers who have their name changed will be clothed with the uniform of glory and presented as winners in the Supreme Court of Heaven.

In Rev 3:12, winners have their names in time as well as their new names in eternity written in the historical record section of heaven.

They also have a “new name” written upon them as they follow their fearless leader back to earth, Rev 19:11-16.

In Rev 3:21, winners who receive their new name will sit on the throne with TLJC.

Many believers have a very difficult time receiving correction even when you’re not giving it.

However, the Lord knows that it exists and He is interested in giving the believer freedom from the bondage and slavery that develops in this room.

Eze 8, there was no door to go in or out, actually all there was, was a secret panel and that’s why he had to dig through the wall.

Even by testing the structure of the wood, you couldn’t tell that there was this secret room behind the wall in the temple.

Jer 17:9 “The heart is more deceitful than all else and is desperately sick; Who can understand it?

Rom 7:15 For that which I am doing, I do not understand; for I am not practicing what I would like to do, but I am doing the very thing I hate.

It is a room untouchable by man but touchable by God!

It is a room that many believers end up handing over to Satan because of the fear of being rejected and the resultant guilt that follows because this room exists.

Of all the rooms in the temple, this one room had the potential to have more light from the outside than any other.

On the top of each room in the temple, on one wall, each room had light trays which could slide over to let in the light.

This particular room had four walls where light could be let in, if they desired to, but they did not!
