Preparing yourself for the study of God’s Word

Before we begin, if you are a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ (that is— you have trusted in Him for eternal life), it is important to prepare yourself to take-in God’s Word or participating in a Communion Service, so take a moment to name, cite or acknowledge your sins privately directly to God the Father. This will assure that you are in fellowship with God the Father and the Holy Spirit’s convicting ministry, also called the convincing ministry will then be able to teach you as the Holy Spirit is the real teacher and the pastor’s message is the vehicle the Holy Spirit uses to convince you what you are learning is true or not.

1 John 1:9 says—“If we confess [simply name, cite or acknowledge to God the Father] our sins [known sins], He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins [known sins] and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness [all unknown and forgotten sins];” NKJV (New King James Version); we call this REBOUND, read the full doctrine as to “why” we need to use 1 John 1:9 to grow spiritually. REBOUND

If you have never personally believed in the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior (that is, believed in Him for eternal life), the issue for you is not to name your sins to God; the issue for you is to believe by faith alone in Jesus Christ alone for eternal life and you will be saved the very second you believe in Him:

John 6:47 says: “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me [Jesus Christ] has everlasting life.” NKJV

Notice again what John 6:47 says, “he who believes in Me [Jesus Christ] has everlasting life.” It doesn’t say, “will have”; it says, “has.” Therefore, the very moment you believe Jesus Christ’s promise of everlasting life, you have it (it’s really just that simple), and it can never be lost or taken away from you (John 10:28-29). Furthermore, the gift of everlasting life (also called eternal life in scripture) is available to every human being; there are absolutely no exceptions.

John 3:14-18 says: “And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” NKJV

Let us now bow our hearts and take a moment to prepare for learning God’s Word, if there is any known sin in your life, this is the time to just cite it privately to God the Father with your thoughts directed towards Him. With your head bowed and your eyes closed, you have total privacy in your mind and soul:

Unlike the bible study, these notes are not just for reading without watching the video. These notes are more designed to follow along during the sermon and to bring up the “hover pop-up scripture references” (some websites may require to left click the link, if that doesn’t work then look them up in your Bible) when the Pastor asks everyone to turn to that passage in their bibles.

Sermon: Dispensation of the Mosaic Law.
The Fourth Commandment:
The Secrets behind the Sabbath.

The Place of the Creation of Both Man and the Woman.

There are more important principles on their way to come, but in 6 days God took the earth, which was a mess from the ruler-ship of Satan, now the earth was under ICE and the Lord restored and converted it into a wonderful place to live.

He created the world and as Deut 32:4 says “The Rock! His work is perfect, For all His ways are just; A God of faithfulness and without injustice, Righteous and upright is He.

THIS IS WHY THE LORD WAS ABOUT TO BE BROUGHT FORWARD, RESTORED.

He created the world, “The Rock! His work is perfect, For all His ways are just; A God of faithfulness and without injustice, Righteous and upright is He.

From Gen 1:2 and the original language of the Bible, we can conclude that planet earth had been destroyed by the Arrogant Destroyer, Satan himself, whoever he is!

John 8:44 says “You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him.

Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature; for he is a liar, and the father of lies.

Col 2:3-4, says “in Whom (Christ) are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. I say this in order that no one may delude you with persuasive argument or religious argument.

Deut 29:29 “The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our sons forever, that we may observe all the words of this law.”

God blessed and made the day holy. Why? Because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made.

In 6 days He provided everything that man would need on the earth to survive and live in happiness = Perfect Food, perfect climate, a garden, He even provided a Bible class with the greatest Bible teacher of all time…the Lord God.

For those who do believe that God was finished with His creation, I would submit to you this question — Where is the man and the woman? Adam and Eve?

Please notice the word “completed” of “finished” because it has a tremendous relationship with the Sabbath and rest. The verb is kalah which means to end, to be finished, to complete, to be totally at rest.

Rested – Qal imperfect of shabath ie. Sabbath means to rest.

On the 7th day or on Saturday, God finished His work, in Gen 2:2. — why did He rest on the 7th day?

Gen 2:2 says…that He ended or finished His work. This is what we call “Sabbath” or the “Rest of Grace.” Everything that man would ever need was provided by God. So…He rested.

Do you believe that? Perfect environment was provided and nothing could be added to it!

This is what we call grace…God does the work and man does the benefitting and man does not earn or deserve or merit what God provides.

Gen 2:2 to Exo 16:23, no reference is made to the Sabbath. So you go at least from Gen 2:2 to Exo 16 which is approximately 1441 B.C. (3-4K)

a. Both the man and the woman were not yet created alive as of yet.

b. There is the problem of sin about to rear its ugly head in the human race.

c. There is the problem with creation itself after the fall of man.

The word for man which is Ish (individual man) – Ishshas – (individual woman)

Notice the word formed — it is the Hebrew verb jatsar = to form out of nothing.

Then notice the woman’s order and how God uses a different verb for the creation of the woman’s body—the Hebrew verb banah meaning to build. (Great verb for the woman’s body).

a) asah – to manufacture something out of something;
b) bara– to create something out of nothing;
c) jatsar – creation of male body;
d) banah – built – used for woman’s body;

Remember – Job 23:14 “For He performs what is appointed for me, And many such decrees are with Him.

John 20:30 Many other signs therefore Jesus also performed in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book;

John 20:31 but these have been written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing you may have life in His name.

The word for God in the Old Testament is Elohim when used it refers to all three members of the Trinity.

When the word Jare or Yare is used then it generally refers to one of the three members of the Trinity and it is generally translated Lord.

The New Testament has two different words for God = God = Theou
Lord= Kurious.

When the Bible says that God rested or called one day of the week Holy by revealing it to man, we need to understand that although God was finished with His finished work.;…….more was coming!

1. Creation of man

2. Creation of the woman

3. The Fall of man.

4. The Redemption of man

5. The conversations womanserpent

6. The conversation manwoman

Also the word “said” in the Hebrew is amar and is also used with members of godhead – subject manwoman, Ish, Ishshah.

We’re going to see at the SAME TIME Elohim (God) decided to create the man, they also decided to provide him a woman.

Every person (with a few exceptions) has someone by the grace of God that has been provided for them. The Principal – Man fulfills the woman, woman completes the man.

For a man it’s the right woman (vice versa).

man and right woman.

Found in all these passages and more – 1Co 6:13; Ecc 9:9; Gen 2:20 25; Eph 5:31; 1Co 7:1-5; Prov 5:1 23; Prov 18:2.

Therefore, when the Lord created man and woman with their free will, He knew we would face problems.

Problems are symptoms but the disease is the OSN [old sin nature] – ie. Human failure in life.

Now, what the Lord would say…..People who marry to find happiness never find it in marriage – they merely complicate their lives.

shas – (individual woman)
4 hebrew words – needed to understand!

1) asah – to manufacture something out of something
2) bara – to create something out of nothing
3) yatsar – creation of male body
4) banah – built – used for womans body

Now, in reproduction we pass down our OSN and physical traits of body but God gives life to the soul, (Gen 5:3).

Isa 57:16 “For I will not contend forever, Neither will I always be angry; For the spirit would grow faint before Me, And the soul breath of those whom I have made.

1. It also means to remain confident.

2. To trust under extreme pressure.

3. The most popular O.T. Hebrew word is the word nuwach -it means to settle down, (which is something many people need); To give comfort;
To be at rest from troubles and anxieties.

4. Loipoi, the most popular Greek word for rest means recreation and the remaining rest for the believer.

5. One Greek word I want to give you is anapauo = to cease from work in order to receive strength.

So, I am going to translate rest as the state of mind in which there is complete and total peace being free from worries, anxieties and fears.
that’s all part of the definition.

Point 2. Salvation Rest, Matt 11:28. Salvation is described in terms of rest, the rest of eternal life.

Point 3. Supergrace Rest.

The land of Canaan is a type of the supergrace life, and in the context of Heb 3:11, supergrace is manifest by faith rest.

For example, the maximum use of faith-rest with doctrine and the maximum application of doctrine from the heart or the right lobe of the soul.

Heb 3:11 as I swore in my wrath, ‘they shall not enter my rest.’”

Heb 4:1-3 (in Heb 4:3) we have what is known an elliptical oath which says that this rest was provided for the Jews in eternity past, yet their disobedience of unbelief will keep them out of it.

There is a temporal sabbath i.e., mentioned in Heb 3:11 and this is for all believers. This is the sabbath for the mature believer.

1. For instance, if you had saddled a horse on Friday, you could not remove the saddle if the horse was still saddled on the sabbath. On Saturday you couldn’t saddle or unsaddle a horse.

2. On Saturday you couldn’t cook anything.

3. If you have mud on your robe you were not allowed to clean it off.

4. You couldn’t stop anyone from bleeding on the Sabbath, you had to wait for Sunday.

The commandment said to remember grace.” The commandment was a ritual. It had to do with what you think.

Sermon: The Dispensation of the Mosaic Law. The First and Second Commandments. Part 11. Doctrine of Idolatry.

Point 5. Idolatry and the influence of the Phallic Cult.

The apostle Paul wore a badge that marked him out as being a true servant of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Phi 1:29 For to you it has been granted for Christ’s sake, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake,

1Pe 2:21 For you have been called for this purpose, since Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example for you to follow in His steps,

Col 1:24 Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and in my flesh I do my share on behalf of His body (which is the church) in filling up that which is lacking in Christ’s afflictions.

Acts 5:41 So they went on their way from the presence of the Council, rejoicing that they had been considered worthy to suffer shame for His name.

Just as those physical marks branded Paul as one of Christ’s slaves, as His property, as His soldier and as His follower, so there should be upon us spiritual marks that brand us as belonging to Him.

1. A Manifestation of fruit (Gal 5:22-23).

2. A spirit of meekness especially gentleness. Gal 6:1 Brethren, even if a man is caught in any trespass, you who are spiritual, restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness or ; each one looking to yourself, lest you too be tempted.

3. The “marks of Christ in our bodies” is also A willingness to share the burdens of others Gal 6:2 Bear one another’s burdens, and thus fulfill the law of Christ.

4. A willingness to help support those who minister; Gal 6:6 And let the one who is taught the word share all good things with him who teaches.

5. A life made up of doing good;” Gal 6:10 So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all men, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith.

6. A complete separation from the world (Gal 6:12-13.

7. A glorying in the Cross; Gal 6:14 But may it never be that I should boast, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.

Point 5. Idolatry and the influence of the Phallic Cult.

Webster’s New Twentieth Century Dictionary, Second Edition” = a cult means devoted attachment to, or extravagant admiration for, a person, principle, or thing etc.

The Webster’s Ninth New College Dictionary says that a cult is a great devotion to a person, idea, or thing, (especially), such devotion regarded as literary or intellectual fad or mania.

A cult is not necessarily devotion to a “god” as such, but it can also be devotion to an IDEA, especially one set up by the “god” of this world, Satan himself.

He knows that one of the most basic needs in the human race is the need to be loved, appreciated and wanted.

One of the main reasons why the Phallic cult is still around today is because most individuals do not understand the difference between natural desires and lusts.

Notice that phrase, the lusts of deceit = the subtlety and deception of Satan because the Greek word for lust is the noun epithumia, the word itself actually means a strong or an overpowering desire.

Luk 22:15, “I have earnestly desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer”

Notice that the word for “earnestly desired” is the same word that is used elsewhere for lust.

Matt 5:28 But I say to you, that everyone who looks on a woman to lust [epithumia] for her has committed adultery with her already in his heart.

Matt 13:17 “For truly I say to you, that many prophets and righteous men desired [epithumia] to see what you see, and did not see it; and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it.

Most of us do not have the ability or discernment to distinguish the difference between lusts and legitimate desires.

We get condemned at times because we cannot discern the difference between our legitimate desires and our lusts……because there is a fine line between them.

1Co 10:6 Now these things happened as examples for us, that we should not lust [epithumia] for evil things, as they also lusted [epithumia].

1Ti 3:1 It is a trustworthy statement: if any man aspires to [epithumia] the office of overseer, it is a fine work he desires to do.

Jam 4:2 You lust [epithumia] and do not have; so you commit murder. And you are envious and cannot obtain; so you fight and quarrel. You do not have because you do not ask.

Please notice that in these passages epithumia can mean lust or desire depending on not what it is directed towards but “how” it is directed toward those things.

The kingdom of darkness, with its tremendous organized plan, appeals to the needs of people to get them away from the PPOG for their life by making us question our faith.

Those desires have been implanted within us by our God to give us enjoyment not condemnation.
It is true that lust can mean lasciviousness or an illicit, uncontrolled, overwhelming desire which originates from the old sin nature. However, the dictionary also defines lust also as a pleasure or delight.

The overmastering and overpowering desires of most people are evil.

There is a difference between the legitimate desires and needs that a person has and the different lusts that are destroying many individuals inwardly.

Col 3:5 Render impotent therefore the members of your earthly body [such as your eyes, ears, feet, hands, etc.] as dead to immorality [sexual activity outside of marriage] impurity [abnormal sexual activity], passion [abnormal sex lust], evil desire [an illicit, uncontrolled, overwhelming desire for sex], and greed [an insatiable appetite or craving for sexual activity], which keeps on amounting to idolatry or the worship of idols or demons.

Webster’s Dictionary, the ninth edition says that the word Phallic means “relating to” or “resembling a phallus. It is said to, and I am quoting, it is said to denote the genital phase of psychosexual development, especially in males.

One of the main reasons why the apostle Paul said that involvement in these different forms of sexual sins was a form of worship toward idols or demons is simply because Satan knows the human race better than we do.

1. The worship of a physical object or objects as God.

2. Inordinate attachment or extreme devotion to something.

Most individuals do not understand the difference between natural desires and lusts.

The natural instincts in all of us, such as hunger, sex, survival, self-defense are not wrong in themselves.

All the natural instincts that belong to our human nature are, in and of themselves, not only “not” bad, but good.

It is God who has put these natural instincts into man….including the instinct for sex and a need to be loved.

One of those main instincts is the desire to be loved, needed, held, appreciated, and when it’s right, sexual encounters.

Matt 22:30 “For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven.

God made man perfect = various instincts and powers and propensities were put in such an order and peculiar arrangement in us so that they are all meant to minister to our good and our enjoyment in life.

These instincts, which are mainly in man’s body, were meant to be under the “control” of our mind.

God’s will was that man should have dominion and control over his “natural” instincts.

The mind alone is not enough, God also gave man a conscience which is higher than the mind and gives instructions to the mind and then, hopefully, the heart.

Man being made in the image of God, the conscience was meant in turn to be controlled by God Himself, John 1:9.

There have been some foolish people in the church who have said that sex is sinful = celibacy is advocated by the Roman church and others.

To say so is to say that “God” put evil into man.

We are all aware that all our instincts must be in their right place which means that they must be governed and controlled by the mind and heart.

Here is the tragedy of the whole cosmic system; that the order has been reversed and that mankind is being governed by his instincts instead of governing his instincts.

When the “instincts” get into control they become lusts.

When that which is meant to be under control takes charge and governs the life, there is chaos….and that is exactly what is meant by lusts.

Prin then-Lust simply means that an affection or an instinct is taking charge of us and governing us.

The bible calls this….”inordinate affection.”

There is nothing wrong with the affections implanted in man but the affections must never become inordinate or unnatural.

Evil desires everywhere are in control while reason and understanding have been pushed aside.

The decay and the steady movement toward destruction is simply the dominance of lust controlling the individual.

Answer = the idolatry of his lusts.
What is it that controls the lusts?

Eph 4:22 that, in reference to your former manner of life, you lay aside the old self, which is being corrupted in accordance with the lusts of deceit.

The lusts in turn manipulate the man.

Prepare yourself for learning the Word of God!

Before we begin, if you are a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ (that is; you have believed [trusted] in Him for His promised gift of eternal life), it is important to prepare yourself to learn God's Word so take a moment to name, cite or acknowledge (confess) your sins privately to God (i.e.; with your thoughts directed only to God the Father).

1 John 1:9 says: "If we confess our sins, He (God) is faithful and just to forgive us our sins (known sins) and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness [unknown or forgotten sins]." NKJV (New King James Version) [italics added]; we call this REBOUND, read the full doctrine as to “why” we need to use 1 John 1:9 to grow spiritually. REBOUND

If you have never personally believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, that He is the Son of God, the promised Messiah, as your Savior (that is, believed in Him for eternal life), the issue for you is not to name your sins; the issue for you is to simply exercise faith alone in Jesus Christ alone for eternal life; when you do, you will instantly receive Eternal Life: John 3:16, 5:24, 6:47, 20:30, 31.

John 6:47 says: "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me [Jesus Christ] has everlasting life." NKJV [italics added]

Notice again what Jesus said in John 6:47: "…he who believes in Me (Jesus Christ) has everlasting life." It doesn't say, "will have"; it says, "has." Therefore, the very moment you believe in Jesus Christ for His promise of everlasting life, you have it (it's really just that simple; nothing more and nothing less), and it can never be taken away from you (John 10:28-29). Furthermore, the gift (Ephesians 2:8c) of everlasting life (also called eternal life in scripture) is available to every human being; there are absolutely no exceptions.

John 3:14-15, 16, 17, 18, says: "14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 15 that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. 18 He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." NKJV

Let us now bow our hearts and take a moment to prepare for worship and learning God's Word. If there is any known sin in your life, this is the time to just cite it privately to God the Father with your thoughts directed towards Him. With your head bowed and your eyes closed, you have total privacy in your mind and soul:

STUDY TITLE:

The Doctrine of Dispensations. Introduction.

First of all, what is a dispensation? A dispensation is a period of time in human history expressed in terms of divine revelation. It was really brought to the light by the apostle Paul in the presentation of the mystery doctrine of this Church-age. Dispensations are divine categories of human history; therefore, both the divine outline and the divine interpretation of human history. There are many interpretations of history, but the only accurate interpretation is dispensational, i.e., the divine outline for human history.

Dispensations are the vehicle by which believers living at a specific time in history can orient to God’s will, plan, and purpose for their lives. God’s plan is not the same for every dispensation. In fact, the plan is quite different in each dispensation. So a dispensation is defined traditionally as a period of time during which a particular revelation of God’s mind and God’s will is operative, and during which man is tested as to his obedience to that specific manifestation of God’s will, purpose, and plan. The believer’s orientation to both time and to human history is vitally necessary for understanding God’s plan and God’s purpose.

All the apostles taught dispensational truth as well as the early church fathers. Most of you know the apostles, but very few understand the early church fathers. The most important principle of doctrine that dispensationalism answers and that is: What comes after salvation?” What is the Christian’s purpose on earth? Every believer in Jesus Christ should ask himself that question.

The simplified answer is: Learn Bible doctrine, the mind of God. Because the Bible reveals God’s person and plan. Only through knowledge of God can anyone appreciate, love, and worship Him. The question that arises is why does God go so far as to magnify His Word above His person (Psa 138:2)? His Word reveals His nature and essence.

Only the Scriptures allow us to glimpse God’s absolute character and to love the revealed member of the Godhead, who is Jesus Christ (John 1:18).

John 1:18, No man has seen God at any time; the only begotten God, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has explained Him.

Bible doctrine is called the “mind of Christ” (1Co 2:16). It is absolute truth, the very thinking of Jesus Christ (Phi 2:5).

1Pe 1:8, “Though [we] have not seen Him, [we] love Him” when we learn who and what He is and begin to share His frame of reference.

Understanding God’s Word is the root of all Christian virtues. Transformation of the believer’s life occurs on the inside, in the inner person, in the soul (Rom 12:2). His persistent intake and application of Bible doctrine enlarge his capacities for life, for love, for service, for blessings, for happiness.

2Co 9:7-8, Let each one do just as he has purposed in his heart; not grudgingly or under compulsion; for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed;

God’s “greater grace” fills up the mature believer’s greater capacities “to all the fulness of God” (Jam 4:6; Eph 3:19; cf. Rom 8:32). And as we have noted in the doctrine of imputations, in blessing the believer, God is glorified (Eph 1:3). Since Bible doctrine is so vitally important, the believer needs to understand an essential fact about the Word of God. Bible doctrine is dispensational. The concept of dispensations, therefore, is a key to understanding the whole realm of Bible doctrine. And so we must begin this very vital and important subject in Eph 3.
Eph 3:1-9, For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for the sake of you Gentiles if indeed you have heard of the stewardship of God’s grace which was given to me for you; that by revelation there was made known to me the mystery, as I wrote before in brief. And by referring to this, when you read you can understand my insight into the mystery of Christ, which in other generations was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed to His holy apostles and prophets in the Spirit; to be specific, that the Gentiles are fellow heirs and fellow members of the body, and fellow partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel, of which I was made a minister, according to the gift of God’s grace which was given to me according to the working of His power. To me, the very least of all saints, this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the unfathomable riches of Christ,

Now, verse 9 is where we begin our subject, Paul says Eph 3:9, and to bring to light what is the administration of the mystery which for ages has been hidden in God, who created all things;

The phrase “to being to light” is the aorist active infinitive of the Greek verb photizo = to illuminate or to bring to light, to make clear; to clarify. It means to teach until something is very clear which I will attempt to do in this series. The aorist tense speaks of the point in time that the pastor presents dispensational truth or unfortunately what verse 9 calls the administration of the mystery. Now, the greatest responsibility of all pastors in the Church-age is to communicate the dispensation of the mystery.

And as we will see, verse 9 says “to make all see what is the dispensation of the mystery.” How important is the doctrine of dispensational truth? Well, this doctrine emphasizes what God wants you to do after salvation. The active voice of photizo means the apostle Paul produced the action of the verb, he is making all se the dispensation of the mystery. However, in this time, it is the pastor who 2Ti 2:15 who produces the action of the verb. The pastor is to communicate God’s will, God’s plan and God’s purpose for your life. The infinite is an infinitive of purpose to indicate the aim or the objective of the pastor i.e., to communicate the dispensation of the mystery.

Now, the dispensation of the Church-age is very important. Every believer is important, no exceptions. There is only one dispensation in all of history that emphasizes every believer being on equal basis and that is the Church-age. In the dispensation of the hypostatic union one individual is emphasized and of course it is the Lord Jesus Christ. In the dispensation of the Church-age every believer is emphasized.

These two dispensations we will study under the title of Christological dispensations. In the dispensation of the hypostatic union one person is emphasized, our Lord Jesus Christ, the God-man, undiminished deity and true humanity in one person forever. But in the dispensation of the Church-age we are all given equal privilege and equal opportunity and this is the dispensation of glorifying Christ.

So we have in Col 1:27, “To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.” And, we are equated with Christ in the sense that the power and the assets which were given to the humanity of Christ are now given to each one of us. Therefore this, (the Church-age), is a special dispensation. Because never before in O.T. dispensations was there such a tremendous emphasis on the individual. And, the same thing can be said about the Tribulation and Millennial reign.

In every other dispensation such as the O.T., one individual one spiritual leader was emphasized at a time. But, now for the first time in human history the emphasis is upon the man in the pew, the housewife, the mother, the individual believer. Regardless of his background, color, handicaps every believer has been given the far greater assets, power, blessings than anyone ever before. This is why we read in Gal 3:26-29, For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s offspring, heirs according to promise.

And what was the promise giving to Abraham and his offspring? In Gen 12:2-3, God made a promise to Abraham that continued far beyond this patriarch’s lifetime. What was this promise? Does it still apply today?

Gen 12:1-3, Now the Lord said to Abram, “Go forth from your country, And from your relatives And from your father’s house, To the land which I will show you; And I will make you a great nation, And I will bless you, And make your name great; And so you shall be a blessing; And I will bless those who bless you, And the one who curses you I will curse. And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”

When God began working with Abram (his name was later changed to Abraham), God gave him a command and an amazing promise. The command was “Get out of your country, from your family and from your father’s house, to a land that I will show you” (Gen 12:1). Explaining the promise, He would give Abram a new name called Abraham in exchange for his obedience. God continued and said: “I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed” (verses 2-3).

promise had multiple components, including the promise of multiple descendants, fame, divine protection and that Abraham through his descendants would be a blessing to all people. Abraham’s son, Isaac, and grandson, Jacob, were “heirs with him of the same promise”.

Heb 11:9, By faith he lived as an alien in the land of promise, as in a foreign land, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, fellow heirs of the same promise;

This is why Paul said in Gal 3:9, So then those who are of faith are blessed with Abraham, the believer. And then in Gal 3:16, Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. These promises were both physical and spiritual in nature. Physically, Abrahams descendants would become a great nation, Israel, the Jews. The spiritual blessing to all people was fulfilled in the coming of the Messiah, a descendant of Abraham, through whom people of all nationalities may receive salvation (Acts 4:10-12; Gal 3:16).

Act 4:10-12, let it be known to all of you, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead by this name this man stands here before you in good health. He is the stone which was rejected by you, the builders, but which became the very corner stone. And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved.”

Back to our main passage where the apostle Paul as an apostle to the Gentiles says in Eph 3:9, and to bring to light what is the administration of the mystery which for ages has been hidden in God, who created all things; The word for administration is the predicate nominative singular from the Greek noun oikonomia = dispensation. This means that until you understand where you are in history, and until you have located yourself in God’s plan, it is impossible for you to execute God’s plan or to do His will. It is the responsibility of the pastor to clarify this issue. It is not an issue you can clarify for yourself.

The word mystery is the Greek noun musterion which refers to the mystery dispensation of the Church-age. And so, the meaning purpose and definition for your life depends on your understanding the doctrine of dispensational truth. Your life is important, and you live in dispensation where every believer counts. It is not like in our nation where we are finding out that every individual’s vote is said to count but really doesn’t.

The doctrine of dispensational truth reveals that for the first time in human history special significance is placed on each individual believer. Now, one of the at least 40 things that happened to you at salvation is that you became a member of the royal family of God. Therefore, the sooner you become briefed on how royalty should function, and what your role you have in human history, the sooner and better chance you have to glorify God and become a recipient of the most fantastic blessings ever. You are important to God!

Look how Peter says it in 1Pe 2:9, But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;

Psa 17:8, Keep me as the apple of the eye; Hide me in the shadow of Thy wings.

Zec 2:8, For thus says the Lord of hosts, “After glory He has sent me against the nations which plunder you, for he who touches you, touches the apple of His eye.

These notes are more designed to follow along during the sermon and to bring up the “hover pop-up scripture references” (some websites may require to left click the link, if that doesn’t work then look them up in your Bible) when the Pastor asks everyone to turn to that passage in their bibles.

Sermon: Dispensation of the Mosaic Law.
The Fourth Commandment: The Sabbath. Part 6.

Point 3. We begin with what is known as Supergrace Rest or an advance of the Sabbath Rest for the people of God.

It all began with your salvation or understanding of the “rest Life” that God gives us at salvation.

The land of Canaan is a type of the supergrace life, and in the context of Heb 3:11, supergrace is manifest by faith rest.

For example, the maximum use of faith-rest with doctrine and the maximum application of doctrine from the heart or the right lobe of the soul.

Heb 4:1 3 (in Heb 4:3 we have what is known an elliptical oath which says that this rest was provided for the Jews in eternity past, yet their disobedience of unbelief will keep them out of it.

There is a temporal Sabbath i.e., mentioned in principle in Heb 3:11 which is for all believers. This is the “Sabbath experience” for the mature believer.

1. For instance, if you had saddled a horse on Friday, you could not remove the saddle if the horse was still saddled on the Sabbath. On Saturday you couldn’t saddle or unsaddle a horse.

2. On Saturday’s you couldn’t cook anything.

3. If you have mud on your robe you were not allowed to clean it off.

4. You couldn’t stop anyone from bleeding on the Sabbath, you had to wait for Sunday.

Heb 4:3 tells us that we who have believed on him, enter into his rest.

Gal 5:22 when the word of god says the fruit of the holy spirit is peace…

Heb 3:19 tells us it is unbelief which causes us not to enter into rest

Heb 4:10 it says he who has entered into his rest is someone who has ceased from his own works

For the Christian, he has entered in what the book of Hebrews teaches as a moment by moment rest, or a moment by moment sabbath

If the believer does not rest and tries to accomplish things on his own then he enters into a temporal death which is a separation from god

Why? Because they are trying to make certain things happen and work when God has given them rest, And what is the day that god has given you for rest?

Every day that you wake up is another opportunity for you to enter into his rest

You have an altar and that altar starts right upstairs in your soul

Your soul is your altar,

Your altar goes way beyond prayer

Prayer is a part of your altar, but so is learning, serving, giving, etc.

They not only struggle with rest outwardly, (they’re nervous wrecks, they’re always falling apart, they can’t handle pressure) but they struggle with rest inwardly…which is where real rest starts.

Now what is the sabbath, or this rest that God has for us?

Mercy is given for our past mistakes and failures.

Grace gives us the power in the present and in the future.

Remember that the Bible says you shall love your neighbor as or while you love yourself.

Guilt, condemnation, fear torments a person’s soul unless the individual discovers what real biblical rest is all about!

Because God promised that He will be gracious and merciful (compassionate) to you.

In fact, even divine discipline is a revelation of His grace.

So, when Moses asked to see the glory of God, that manifestation of God’s glory was grace and mercy.

prin-The manifestations of the glory of God “from” God is His grace and mercy, but the manifestation of the glory of God “in us” is rest.

Rest is also a fulfillment of the promises of God.

However, if you don’t live in God’s promises you won’t have rest.

And, as we have already seen, the writer of the book of Hebrews says; “If you want to live in fear of something live in fear that you don’t live in the promises of God… Heb 4:1.

That’s the only thing you should live in fear of, not in what life is bringing but live in fear that you do not live in the promises of God.

Matt 11:28 “Come to me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.”

Rest here is anapauo which again causes us to cease from work in order to receive His strength.

Verse 29 “take my yoke upon you, and learn from me…”

Matt 11:29 “Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you shall find rest for your souls.”

Note that rest comes first of all from going to Him, that’s His promise…and secondly, if you learn from me, you will find rest for your souls.

You see, every day the things of this world are designed to take away your freshness and are designed to make you stale and dull and passive and slothful,

Doctrine of Imputations. Part 5.

Rom 9:30-32, What shall we say then? That Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, attained righteousness, even the righteousness which is by faith; but Israel, pursuing a law of righteousness, did not arrive at that law. Why? Because they did not pursue it by faith, but as though it were by works. They stumbled over the stumbling stone, On the other hand, Israel, who seemed so interested in reading and talking about what God was doing, missed it. How could they miss it? Because instead of trusting God, they took matters into their own hands. They were absolutely absorbed in what they were doing themselves. They were so absorbed in their “work for God” that they didn’t notice God’s work right in front of them, like a huge rock or as this passage says a “stumbling stone” in the middle of the road. And so, they stumbled into Him, who is called “the Rock” and went backward falling and stumbling away.

Rom 9:33, just as it is written, “Behold, I lay in Zion a stone of stumbling and a rock of offense, And he who believes in Him will not be disappointed.”

Isaiah gives us the metaphor for pulling all this together by saying that God put a huge stone on the road to Mount Zion, a stone you can’t get around. And the stone was Himself, God indwelling man. 1Ti 3:16, And by common confession great is the mystery of godliness: He who was revealed in the flesh, Was vindicated in the Spirit, Beheld by angels, Proclaimed among the nations, Believed on in the world, Taken up in glory.

John 1:14, And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.

The Lord Jesus Christ therefore is called the Rock who the Jews had rejected in Deut 32:18 “You neglected the rock who begot you, and forgot the God who gave you birth. We know that the rock represents the lord as 1Co 10:4 teaches, “They all drank from the same spiritual drink, for they were drinking from a spiritual rock which followed them; and the rock was Christ.

This is why TLJC is called:

Christ is the rock of salvation. 1Co 3:11, For no man can lay a foundation other than the one which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

Christ is the rock of perfection. Zec 3:9.

Christ is the rock of the natural and spiritual soldier; Psa 144:1, Blessed be the Lord, my rock, Who trains my hands for war, And my fingers for battle;

As the Rock, the Lord Jesus Christ provides the solid mental attitude to honor Him. Isa 26:3-4, “The steadfast of mind Thou wilt keep in perfect peace, Because he trusts in Thee. Trust in the Lord forever, For in God the Lord, we have an everlasting Rock.”

This is why He is called the chief cornerstone, who unites both the Jews and Gentiles together.

Christ is the foundation rock of Israel. Psa 118:22; ISA 28:16.

Christ is the foundation rock of the Church. Matt 16:18; Eph 2:20-22.

Christ is the destroying rock of the Second Advent. Dan 2:34-35.

Christ is the rock of judgment. 1Pe 2:8.

The point is that your life is either going to be built upon a solid foundation called the Rock or an unstable foundation called the sand. Therefore, we read in Matt 7:24-27, “Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine, and acts upon them, may be compared to a wise man, who built his house upon the rock. And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and burst against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded upon the rock. And everyone who hears these words of Mine, and does not act upon them, will be like a foolish man, who built his house upon the sand. And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and burst against that house; and it fell, and great was its fall.”

The real question is what is your house, or the edification complex of your soul, built upon?

Now, remember we began a series of messages from this section in Rom 9 on the Righteousness and Justice of God, the First Adam and the Last Adam, the Doctrine of Imputations, which we have now completed 18 hours upon, and now our final doctrine, the Doctrine of Justification. We will deal with this doctrine point by point. Last time we studied it was about 15 years or so.

Point 1. Introduction; Rom 4:13-25.

And the main verses that we noted in this section were found in Rom 4: 16-25.

Rom 4:16-19, For this reason it is by faith, that it might be in accordance with grace, in order that the promise may be certain to all the descendants, not only to those who are of the Law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all, (as it is written, “A father of many nations have I made you”) in the sight of Him whom he believed, even God, who gives life to the dead and calls into being that which does not exist. In hope against hope he believed, in order that he might become a father of many nations, according to that which had been spoken, “So shall your descendants be.” And without becoming weak in faith he contemplated his own body, now as good as dead since he was about a hundred years old, and the deadness of Sarah’s womb;

Araham did not always operate in faith, especially on three different occasions. Abraham failed twice when he lied to the Pharaoh and said that Sarah was not his wife, Gen 12:10-20, and when he lied to Abimelech, the king of Gerar in Gen 20:1-15 and said the same thing, Sarah was not his wife. And the of course when he listened to the voice of his wife Sarah who told Abraham to go and have sex with her female slave, Hagar, and bring an heir from her rather than waiting on the timing of God.

You know the rest of the story–it’s the reason why we have the problems with terrorism that we do today in the world, especially in Europe, in the Middle east, and in the USA. It doesn’t sound like Abraham was really the father of our faith during those times, does it? Abraham didn’t focus on his own impotence and say, “It’s hopeless, instead he focused in on God’s omnipotence, and said, with God all things are possible. This is how the just live by faith. Even though Abraham’s hundred year old body didn’t seem like he could ever father a child nor did he consider Sarah’s decades of infertility and give up.

Instead, we read in Rom 4:20 yet, with respect to the promise of God, he did not waver in unbelief, but grew strong in faith, giving glory to God. He didn’t tiptoe around God’s promises asking cautious and skeptical questions, he plunged into the promises and came up strong, ready for God.

Rom 4:21-24, and being fully assured that what He [God] had promised, [God] was able also to perform. Therefore, also it [Abraham’s faith or belief] was reckoned or imputed to him as righteousness. Now not for his sake only was it written, that it was reckoned to him, but for our sake also, to whom it will be reckoned, as those who believe in Him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead,

In other words, it’s not just Abraham that is in view; this is also for us! The same thing is said about us when we embrace and believe the One who brought Jesus to life when the conditions seemed to be hopeless.

Rom 4:25, He who was delivered up because of our transgressions, and was raised because of our justification.

And the reason is that whatever happens to Him will happen to us because of our union with Him. His resurrection was the validation of the sacrifice of His spiritual death and the proof of our acceptance with God. Abraham became a tremendous example of “The just shall live by faith!”

Point 2 in the doctrine of justification dealt with the Etymology of the word which is the origin and historical development of a word and how it was originally used in its earliest known use.

The word for justification is the noun dikaiosis which means anything pertaining to the integrity of God, His righteousness and justice. When used for man it refers to imputed perfect righteousness.

When used for God it refers to His righteousness and justice. It means that we were made as perfect as God at the moment that we believed in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Point 3. which deals with the definition of dikaiosune Theou translated the “righteousness of God.” which justifies us at the moment of salvation.” This becomes the function of blessing from the justice of God to man. It all begins at salvation. This function of divine blessing from the justice of God at salvation is called “dikaiosune Theou” or a judicial function of the justice of God.

The “perfect righteousness of God” becomes the function of blessing from the justice of God to man.

It all begins at salvation.

This function of divine blessing from the justice of God at salvation is called “dikaiosune Theou” or the dikaioo or justification, a judicial function of the justice of God. Justification means an act of vindication. This is a judicial act of vindication means we have been vindicated by God from being born under condemnation or being spiritually dead. Therefore, justification is an official judicial act which occurs every time anyone believes in Christ. The justice of God acts on our behalf pronouncing us justified, which means, having a relationship with God forever because we have the perfect righteousness of God imputed to us.

Justification means that God recognizes that He has given us His perfect righteousness. This means that even as a perfect Judge, that in the end, God cannot and does not remember our sins or failures.

Experientially He does but positionally He sees us as being totally complete and holy in Christ.

Col 2:10, and in Him you have been made complete,

Col 1:22, He has now reconciled you in His fleshly body through death, in order to present you before Him holy and blameless and beyond reproach

Heb 8:12, For I will be merciful to their iniquities, and I will remember their sins no more.

Or as the prophet Micah predicted in Mic 7:18-19, “Who is a God like thee, who pardons iniquity and passes over the rebellious act of the remnant of His possession? Yes you will cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.

As David said in Psa 103:1-12, Bless the Lord, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget none of His benefits; Who pardons all your iniquities; Who heals all your diseases; Who redeems your life from the pit; Who crowns you with lovingkindness and compassion; Who satisfies your years with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle. The Lord performs righteous deeds, And judgments for all who are oppressed.

Psa 103:7-11, He made known His ways to Moses, His acts to the sons of Israel. The Lord is compassionate and gracious, Slow to anger and abounding in lovingkindness. He will not always strive {with us}; Nor will He keep {His anger} forever. He has not dealt with us according to our sins, Nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, So great is His lovingkindness toward those who fear Him. As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us.

The prophet Isaiah knew the reason why someday believers would be justified before the Lord when he wrote Isa 38:17, …For You have cast all their sins behind their back.

Isa 43:25, “I, even I, am He who blots out your transgressions for My own sake [because of my honor and integrity]. Furthermore, I will not remember your sin.”

Jer 31:34, …For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.

Col 2:13, He made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us ALL our transgressions,

Psa 85:2, You did forgive the iniquity of Your people; you did cover all their sin.

Think of it, the Lord has not covered some of your sin, but all of your sin.

In Eez 16:63, Ezekiel knew it when he wrote that the Lord said to people who were involved with the grossest sins you could ever imagine “I will forgive you for all that you have done.” Have you become so familiar with these verses and this principle of doctrine that it no longer has an effect on your life? The apostle knew it in 1Jo 2:12 says, Your sins are forgiven for His names sake.

They all knew that “The just shall live by faith!” Faith in what? Faith in what God said he would do about man’s hopeless and helpless condition! The mechanics of justification are found in what is known as at salvation adjustment to the justice of God which include three logistical steps.

First, personal faith in Christ. The object of faith has all the merit. We are nothing till we have something of the integrity of God through maximum Bible doctrine in the soul.

Secondly, the justice of God the provides perfect righteousness to all who believe.

Thirdly, God judicially pronounces us justified, officially righteous.

All of these steps occur simultaneously at the moment of faith. At salvation we receive God’s perfect righteousness and His justice must recognize that very same perfect righteousness which backs Him up in His divine essence. Now, if God gives us perfect righteousness at the point of faith, and He does, think of what can
God’s justice do with us now? And that’s what Paul mentions in Rom 8:29-33, For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the first-born among many brethren; and whom He predestined, these He also called; and whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified. What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things? Who will bring a charge against God’s elect? God is the one who justifies;

Now, understanding this doctrine of justification means that you understand that if you sin, you haven’t changed your status with God. You are still justified. You still have perfect righteousness and therefore eternal salvation. So, you are justified forever. However, until perfect righteousness is imputed there can be no justification. We can never be justified until we first receive perfect righteousness. No perfect righteousness imputed means no justification. And all human categories of righteousness are excluded. Remember that God doesn’t think much of your personality or self-righteousness nor of mine. He isn’t impressed with anything but His own perfect righteousness. God loves His perfect righteousness with an eternal love.

Psa 11:7, For the Lord is righteous; He loves righteousness;

Psa 33:5, He loves righteousness and justice; The earth is full of the lovingkindness of the Lord.

Psa 37:28, For the Lord loves justice, And does not forsake His godly ones; They are preserved forever;

Psa 45:7, Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated wickedness; Perfect righteousness is the only thing we have that counts with God.

So, justification is the possession of divine perfect righteousness imputed at salvation. Justification frees the justice of God to pronounce the fact we have His perfect righteousness. And now He is free to give you eternal life. So, justification is another way of describing salvation relationship with the integrity of God. It’s also important to note that justification is not forgiveness.

Forgiveness is subtraction, justification is addition by grace.

Forgiveness subtracts sin, whereas justification adds the perfect righteousness of God.

First, God took care of our dirty laundry. Then he bought us a brand new wardrobe. Justification, then, is the completion of the believer’s salvation adjustment to the justice of God. It is the consummation of the salvation work of God logically. So, understanding this doctrine of justification means that you understand that if you sin, you haven’t changed your status with God.

You are still justified. You still have perfect righteousness and therefore eternal salvation. So you are justified forever. The justice of God can only judge sin with divine discipline but if we rebound first, the justice of God can only forgive us.

1Jo 1:9, “If we acknowledge [name and cite] our sins, He is faithful and just, with the result that He forgives us our sins [our known sins] and purifies us from all unrighteousness [unknown sins or forgotten].”

Hymn #2

NOTES
Unlike the bible study, these notes are not just for reading without watching the video. These notes are more designed to follow along during the sermon and to bring up the “hover pop-up scripture references” (some websites may require to left click the link, if that doesn’t work then look them up in your Bible) when the Pastor asks everyone to turn to that passage in their bibles.

Sermon: Dispensation of the Mosaic Law.
The Fourth Commandment: The Sabbath. Part 5.

The doctrine of the Sabbath. Point 1 introduction, Freedom demands rest and rest demands freedom.

Point 2. Salvation Rest, Matt 11:28. Salvation is described in terms of rest, the rest of eternal life (contrary to everlasting life.

Point 3. There is what is known as a Supergrace [or spiritual maturity] Rest or an advance of the Sabbath Rest for the people of Go.

Heb 3:11 as I swore in my wrath, ‘they shall not enter my rest.’”

Heb 4:1 3 (in Heb 4:3 we have what is known an elliptical oath which says that this rest was provided for the Jews in eternity past, yet their disobedience of unbelief will keep them out of it.

4, You couldn’t stop anyone from bleeding on the Sabbath, you had to wait for Sunday.

The commandment said to remember grace.” The commandment was a ritual. It had to do with what you think.

Christians are freed by the new covenant to observe any day (Rom 14:5-6; Gal 4:9-10; Col. 2:14-17).

Heb 3:7-10, Notice the phrase in verse 10…they have not known my ways.

The modern tendency of apostasy today stresses the works and production of the believer. just like the Jews distorted the ritual sabbath, most Christians distort the real one.

The main problem is the believers ignorance of doctrine.

However, when God gets down to indicting you He doesn’t mention your failure to do this or that but He indicts you for your stupidity and ignorance concerning His plan.

Ignorance of doctrine means a breakdown of the spiritual sabbath in your life which is in reality….faith-rest.

This rest is a state in which the believer has a relaxed mental attitude no matter what the situation may look like.

A heart of unbelief is a heart without rest.

No faith-rest is to say God is a liar.

a. asah – to manufacture something out of something.
b. bara – to create something out of nothing.
c. jatsar – creation of male body.
d. banah – built – used for woman’s body.

Now, notice that it says “And God said”
The word for God is Elohim (plural) – whenever you find Elohim it normally refers to the Trinity.

Every person (with few exceptions) has someone by grace of God that has been provided for them.

“Said” – Qal imperfect – this is the pronouncement of a decree that will always exist! – ie. “Let us make man in our own image.”

Now, in reproduction we pass down our OSN [old sin nature] and physical traits of body but God gives life to the soul, (Gen 5:3).

Isa 57:16 “For I will not contend forever, Neither will I always be angry; For the spirit would grow faint before Me, And the soul breath of those whom I have made.

In Gen 1:26, “And God said – let us (Trinity) make man in Our image”

“Make” is the Hebrew verb asah which is used for the invisible part of man. Jatsar – creation of male body which asah refers to the immaterial essence of man or his soul.

God rested because He had just created man in His own image.

God’s image – Elohim = same essence, but different personalities.

Taught – Isa 48:16, Matt 28:19.

The Father planned salvation – John 4:34, 5:17.

The Son executed salvation and the plan; Heb 10:7, John 4:34.

The Spirit reveals salvation; John 16:8-11.
