Hymn #2

Preparing yourself for the study of God’s Word

Before we begin, only if you are a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ (that is; you have believed [trusted] in Him for His promised gift of eternal life) John 3:16, John 6:47 as a few examples; it is very important to prepare yourself to learn God's Word so the Holy Spirit can teach you as to what your reading or hearing is true or false. To be taught by the Holy Spirit you must be filled with the Holy Spirit which means abiding in Christ. To place yourself in fellowship with God the Holy Spirit [also called abiding in the Christ], take a moment to simply name, cite or acknowledge [confess] your known unconfessed sins privately to God (i.e.; with your thoughts directed only to God the Father). Why? Because you cannot grow spiritually if you’re not abiding in Christ [in fellowship with Him] when you take in bible truth.

1 John 1:9, says: “If we confess [meaning to simply name, cite or acknowledge to God the Father] our sins [known unconfessed sins], He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins [known sins] and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness [all unknown and forgotten sins];” NKJV (New King James Version); we call this REBOUND; read the full doctrine as to “why” we need to use 1 John 1:9 to grow spiritually. Left click the following link to learn more and fully understand the doctrine of Rebound; which answers the question, why do I need to keep confessing my sins all the time? REBOUND

If you have never personally believed in the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior (that is, believed in Him for eternal life), the issue for you is not to name your sins to God; the issue for you is to believe by faith alone in Jesus, The Christ alone for eternal life [salvation] and you will be saved [receive Eternal Life] the very micro second you believe in Him:

John 6:47 says: “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me [Jesus Christ] has everlasting life.” NKJV

Notice again what John 6:47 says, “he who believes in Me [Jesus Christ] has everlasting life.” It doesn’t say, “will have”; it says, “has.” Therefore, the very moment you believe Jesus Christ’s promise of everlasting life, you have it (it’s really just that simple), and it can never be lost or taken away from you (John 10:28-29). Furthermore, the gift of everlasting life (also called eternal life in scripture) is available to every human being; there are absolutely no exceptions.

John 3:14-18 says: “And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness [Num 21:4-9], even so must the Son of Man be lifted up [the cross], that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” NKJV

Let us now bow our hearts and take a moment to prepare for learning God’s Word, if there is any known sin in your life, this is the time to just cite it privately to God the Father with your thoughts directed towards Him. With your head bowed and your eyes closed, you have total privacy in your mind and soul:

The Angelic Conflict - Part 35 - Point 10. - The Pseudo Victory of Satan in the Original Fall of Man.

He had the power to strike down Satan and the fallen angels, and and to annihilate him or put him in prison.

The claims of Satan to equality with God and superiority in power had to have their complete trial.

God’s plan was for all the universe to see, once and for all, if it were possible for any creature, of any rank, to live for even a moment independent of God the Creator.

The angelic conflict (invisible war) brings out a second will, the creature’s will over God’s will, and it takes place in human history!

Gen 1:1-2 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. [elapse of unknown time] And the earth became formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep;

Gen 1:3 “Let there be light”; and there was light.

2Pe 3:6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: 2Pe 3:7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, (KJV)

2Pe 3:5 - men are willingly ignorant when they express this doctrine of continuity. (KJV)

Jer 4:23 I looked on the earth, and behold, it was formless and void; And to the heavens, and they had no light.

Jer 4:24-25 I looked on the mountains, and behold, they were quaking, And all the hills moved to and fro. I looked, and behold, there was no man, And all the birds of the heavens had fled.

Jer 4:26 I looked, and behold, the fruitful land was a wilderness, And all its cities were pulled down Before the Lord, before His fierce anger.

The shutting off of the light of the sun would have caused the precipitation of all moisture to the earth, and all of the waters of the earth would have been frozen.

1Co 6:20 For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body.

The ground was cursed when Adam sinned, Gen 3:17. The flood came when the human race was about to be overcome with demon possession, Gen 6:4-7.

The Great Tribulation announces the ending of this present age, Mat 24:21. The world itself, after all its sin and rebellion, is to burn with fire at the end of time, 2Pe 3:7-10.

The lake of fire is to embrace Satan, Rev 20:10, and all who have persisted in following him, Mat 25:41.

Internet Church Service – August 27, 2023; The Angelic Conflict - Part 34 is in HD Audio ONLY; with hover pop-up scripture references in Notes.

The Angelic Conflict - Part 34 - The first one is the temptation to rely on self rather than the ministry of Holy Spirit, Mat 4:1-4, Luk 4:1-4.

When God performs a miracle, it requires only His sovereignty [will].

To apply Bible doctrine and advance in the plan of God through the use of that doctrine is the greatest power and the highest function that any member of the human race can attain.

Bible doctrine is the very thinking of Jesus Christ, 1Co 2:16, and it is the word of God, a reference to God Himself, John 1:1.

Prayer and miracles are false solutions to suffering!

Under the PPOG [Predesigned Plan of God, strength is provided through the power of the Spirit (Acts 1:8), and the power of the word of God (Heb 4:12).

You do not pray for a miracle or the removal of the suffering like Paul did in 2Co 12 with the thorn in his flesh!

It is easy for God to perform a miracle - only the sovereignty and omnipotence of God is involved.

It is more difficult for God to give maximum blessing to a believer because that involves the volition of the believer and his faith and trust in the character and nature of God.

What does prove something is when the believer advances to spiritual maturity and can take any pressure provided by Satan.

There is an allotted time in your life ordained by God for you to go through undeserved suffering.

Phil 1:29 “For to you it has been granted for Christ’s sake, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake”

2Ti 2:3 “Suffer hardship with {me}, as a good soldier of Christ Jesus.”

Deut 8:3 “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.”

This temptation was designed to lure the humanity of Christ away from reliance upon the omnipotence of the Father for His logistical grace, and the omnipotence of the Holy Spirit inside the PPOG.

Satan’s main goal is not to get the believer to sin, but to get the believer to become independent from God.

Satan tempts us to step outside of God’s provision and do it on our own!

Heb 4:12 For the word of God is alive and powerful

Satan is an invisible enemy, and all demons that operate under his command are invisible to us!

1Jo 4:4 You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.

All spiritual victory in the angelic conflict is related to the Word of God.

The second test that Satan put the Lord through was to test our Lord’s relationship to the plan of God for His life, Luk 4:5-8, Mat 4:8-10.

a. “Avoid the purpose of the Father’s plan for the incarnation and by-pass the cross, and I’ll promote you” - says Satan.

b. “Avoid the purpose of the Father’s plan for the Second Advent; take the crown or the kingdom now!”

TLJC [The Lord Jesus Christ] is pointing out to Satan that all creature obligation and loyalty is to the plan of God in the sense of serving Him!

“it shall be all yours” = Satan, instead of serving God, is seeking to hinder the believer from serving God by offering the believer the things of this world.

The third and final test has to do with our Lord's relationship to the word of God.

The first test had to do with our Lord’s relationship to the ministry of Holy Spirit, who is the third Person of the Trinity.

The second test had to do with our Lord’s relationship to the plan of God the Father for His life, the first Person of the Trinity.

The third test had to do with our Lord’s relationship to the word of God, the second Person of the Trinity.

pinnacle = pteurgion = the edge or highest point on the temple, Herod’s porch - a 450 foot drop!

Satan is now quoting Psa 91:11-12, with a false application = correct doctrine, false application!

False application of doctrine is always a distortion of scripture.

TLJC has already resisted the temptation to act independently of the Holy Spirit and the Father’s plan for the incarnation.

False application of a true doctrine is a very subtle attack from the kingdom of darkness.

It is not part of the Father’s plan for the humanity of Christ to do an absurd and foolish thing!

God does not condone senseless and unreasonable action!

Deut 6:16 “You shall not put the Lord your God to the test”

Our Lord used scripture; the greatest power God has ever given is Bible doctrine!

James 4:7 Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Mat 4:11 Then the devil left Him; and behold, angels came and began to minister to Him.

minister = diakoneo = to serve, wait upon someone, wait at a table and to offer food and drink to the guests.

1 John 1:9, says: “If we confess [meaning to simply name, cite or acknowledge to God the Father] our sins [known unconfessed sins], He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins [known sins] and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness [all unknown and forgotten sins];” NKJV [New King James Version]; we call this REBOUND; read the full doctrine as to “why” we need to use 1 John 1:9 to grow spiritually. If you have never personally believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, that He is the Son of God, the promised Messiah, as your Savior (that is, believed in Him for eternal life), the issue for you is not to name your sins; the issue for you is to simply exercise faith alone in Jesus Christ alone eternal life; when you do, you will instantly receive Eternal Life: John 3:16, 5:24, 6:47, 20:30, 31.

John 6:47 says: "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me [Jesus Christ] has everlasting life." NKJV

Notice again what Jesus said in John 6:47: "…he who believes in Me (Jesus Christ) has everlasting life." It doesn't say, "will have"; it says, "has." Therefore, the very moment you believe in Jesus Christ for His promise of everlasting life, you have it (it's really just that simple; nothing more and nothing less), and it can never be taken away from you (John 10:28-29). Furthermore, the gift (Ephesians 2:8c) of everlasting life (also called eternal life in scripture) is available to every human being; there are absolutely no exceptions.

John 3:14-15, 16, 17, 18, says: "14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 15 that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. 18 He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." Let us now bow our hearts and take a moment to prepare for worship and learning God's Word. If there is any known sin in your life, this is the time to just cite it privately to God the Father with your thoughts directed towards Him. With your head bowed and your eyes closed, you have total privacy in your mind and soul:

The Tree of Life is a weekly teaching summary: God’s Word is taught Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday

STUDY TITLE:

Weekly Bible Study, August 28, 2023, Meet Enoch – Part 1

The antediluvian period is the period of time before the great flood as related in the Book of Genesis. During this time a few men stood out spiritually. The recorded history in the Old Testament about these men is limited to two essential points of doctrine:

The doctrine resident in their soul.

The acquiring or the attainment of spiritual maturity and visible hero-ship.

This study is of one of these visible heroes, a man by the name of Enoch, an antediluvian hero and super-grace believer. Few words are written in scripture regarding this man, but he was a person who had a dynamic impact on the time in which he lived, and stands as a monument throughout the ages regarding the importance of positive volition toward Bible doctrine. Heb 11:5 is a short, but important commentary on the power of God’s Word in our souls.

Heb 11:5 By faith Enoch was taken up so that he would not see death; and he was not found because God took him up; for he obtained the witness that before his being taken up he was pleasing to God. Heb 11:6 goes on to say, And without faith [a reference to doctrine in this passage] it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.

We begin an in depth look at verse Heb 11:5 with the phrase By faith, which is the Greek noun Pistei, which means by means of doctrine. It is understood from the general context that this means Bible doctrine in the soul. Pistei here refers to the daily perception, metabolization and application of Bible doctrine; and so, our corrected translation is, By means of doctrine [resident in the soul] Enoch.

Enoch was the son of Jared and the father of Methuselah, who was a mature believer as well. In Gen 5:24 we read

ENOCH—Doctrines of a Visible Hero

And Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him. Enoch was the seventh generation from Adam according to Jud 1:14 It was also about these men that Enoch, in the seventh generation from Adam, prophesied, saying. Enoch had learned Bible doctrine and was a communicator of it.

Continuing in Heb 11:5, the phrase taken up is from the Greek verb metetethe, which means to convey from one place to another, to be transferred. Meta means to change, the verb tithemi means to place, so it means a change of place, to be transferred. It is in the passive voice which means that Enoch received the action of the verb, being taken up apart from physical death, the indicative mood is used here and it means this is a dogmatic statement of history.

This is a transfer from earth to heaven without death. God is sovereign and every now and then He does something a little different. This emphasizes the fact that escrow blessings are not only phenomenal in their content, but also are often unusual as far as this life is concerned. As far as we know, this transference happened only to Enoch and Elijah, but it will also be the blessing for the Rapture generation.

Heb 11:5 By means of doctrine [resident in the soul] Enoch was transferred so that he should not see death; and he was not found because God took him up. This was much different than death because, as we have noted, this transfer means that the body is missing, and this verse also indicates that there was a lot of searching for Enoch after he was gone. In physical death, the soul leaves the body, but the body stays on earth, but in a transfer such as we have with Enoch, the body goes along with the soul so there is no body, and no sign of Enoch. The rapture will be a transfer, or a permanent change of location, for all believers alive at that time, satanic propaganda will attempt to explain the missing bodies in some way.

So, for Enoch, this was dying grace, Enoch's last super-grace blessing in time. Dying grace is given to the mature believer, it is the experience of physical death under a special provision of grace, where the mature believer experiences both blessing and happiness while dying.

Dying gracecan occur regardless of the amount of pain and suffering experienced in death. Psa 33:18-19 Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear [are occupied with] Him, on those who hope for His lovingkindness [have confidence in His grace], to deliver their soul from death and to keep them alive in famine [depression]. Paul talked about dying grace in 2Ti 4:6-8 “For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure has come. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith; in the future there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day; and not only to me, but also to all who have loved His appearing.” Psa 116:15 Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His godly ones [mature believers].

Dying grace removes the fear of death, Psa 23:4, “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me.” Dying grace is the great blessing which comes at the termination of one's life, but it is still a part of living. Physical death, plus doctrine resident in the soul, equals the greatest blessing of life: Dying grace, and it is part of the mature believer's supergrace blessings. It is the link between temporal and eternal escrow blessings (Rom 5:20; Heb 11:13). The mature believer has the best for time, and dying grace is also a blessing from God. Rom 5:12-17 Therefore, just as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men, because all sinned—for until the Law sin was in the world, but sin is not imputed when there is no law. Nevertheless death reigned from Adam until Moses, even over those who had not sinned in the likeness of the offense of Adam, who is a type of Him who was to come. But the free gift is not like the transgression. For if by the transgression of the one the many died, much more did the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abound to the many. The gift is not like that which came

ENOCH—Doctrines of a Visible Hero

through the one who sinned; for on the one hand the judgment arose from one transgression resulting in condemnation, but on the other hand the free gift arose from many transgressions resulting in justification. For if by the transgression of the one, death reigned through the one, much more those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ. This is the a fortiori rationale which says that if God provides the greater in time, He cannot withhold the lesser in eternity. It is easier for God to produce eternal blessing than to produce temporal blessing for the mature believer in time. Dying grace brings all eternal rewards into clear focus, and perception, metabolization, and application of Bible doctrine is the only way to reach and maintain spiritual maturity and then to receive dying grace blessings (Phil 3:12-14). You must press on, maintain your momentum, and advance to the objective of spiritual maturity. Job 5:19-24 teaches that the mature believer has no fear of death because no believer dies until the Lord says it's time to come home. Once God calls a believer home, nothing can keep him here, the living must go on living while the dying are dying. A person in dying grace never hinders others from continuing their lives. God decides when is the perfect time for each of us to depart from this earth. There are 3 exceptions to Dying Grace:

First, those under the sin unto death (Phil 3:18-19).

Secondly, those who transfer to eternity without dying, Enoch and Elijah (Heb 11:5-6; 2Ki 2:1).

Thirdly, the Rapture generation (1Co 15:51-57; 1Th 4:16-18).

The capacity for dying comes from spiritual capacity for living, and that is attained through the three spiritual skills: The filling of the Holy Spirit. Metabolization of doctrine. Execution of the Pre-determined Plan of God (PPOG) through the use of the ten problem solving devices. If you have capacity for life, then you will have that capacity for dying. Phil 1:21 “For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.” There truly is great excitement for the believer in his dying experience.

In the divine initiative of grace, the Lord Jesus Christ has provided two categories of fantastic blessing on this earth: The blessing related to living and the blessing related to dying. Living grace is related to the function of the spiritual skills, but dying grace is walking through a valley where you live doctrine. You apply doctrine in the living phase; you live doctrine in the dying phase. Every believer has his very own death-shadowed valley, Psa 23:4 “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death [death- shadowed valley], I fear no evil, for You are with me.” This means that God decides the time, manner, and place of our death. The principle is that the death of every believer is the grace decision from the sovereignty of God. God is perfect;

therefore, his timing is perfect in our death. God knows the exact time to transfer the believer from this earth into His presence in heaven. No believer can be removed from this life apart from the wise and sovereign decision of a loving God. Until God makes that decision, no instrument of death can remove the believer from this life on earth. Since our death is God's personal decision it is also God's victory, but He has transferred that victory to us. For every believer, without exception, death is God's victory, which He has given to each one of us. God has given to us, through the divine initiative of antecedent grace, our very own death-shadowed valley, which is the time, manner, and place of our death. 1Co 15:55, 57, O Death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting? [O death, where is your sting? O grave, where is your victory?] ...but thanks be to God, who gives us [to us for our benefit] the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Rom 14:8 For [not only] if we live, we live for the Lord, or [but also] if we die, we die for the Lord; therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord's.

Ecc 3:1-2 There is an appointed [a right] time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven-- A time to give birth and a time to die; A time to plant and a time to uproot what is planted.

ENOCH—Doctrines of a Visible Hero Job 1:21

“The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away. Blessed be the name of the Lord.”

In 1Th 4:13, 16-18, we are told not to be ignorant about the subject of the death of loved ones, “But we do not want you to be uninformed [For we do not want to be ignorant], brethren, about those who are asleep, so that you will [may] not grieve, as do the rest [believers ignorant of doctrine and unbelievers] who have no hope…” “For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words.”

Heb 11:1-4 Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen [doctrine keeps on being the reality from which we keep on receiving confidence, the proof of matters not being seen.] For by it [doctrine] the men of old gained approval [that is they became spiritually mature and glorified God]. By faith we understand that the worlds were prepared by the Word of God [by means of doctrine we understand that the dispensations were prepared by the Word of God], so that what is [being] seen [that is unfolding in history] was not made [has not come to pass] out of things which are visible [from the men who appear to control history]. By faith [doctrine resident in the soul] Abel offered to God a greater sacrifice than Cain, through which [offering] he received testimony [confirmation] that he was [kept on being] righteous, God testifying about his gifts, and through faith [the doctrine resident in his soul], though he is dead, he still speaks

Left click the following link to learn more and fully understand the doctrine of Rebound; which answers the question, why do I need to keep confessing my sins all the time? REBOUND

18 He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." NKJV

Let us now bow our hearts and take a moment to prepare for worship and learning God's Word. If there is any known sin in your life, this is the time to just cite it privately to God the Father with your thoughts directed towards Him. With your head bowed and your eyes closed, you have total privacy in your mind and soul:

STUDY TITLE:

Weekly Bible Study, August 21, 2023, The TREE OF LIFE

If we eat from the finest food God has to offer on earth [the word of God], will eat from the finest food He has to offer in eternity [the Tree of Life], Rev 2:7. Yes, our happiness will be perfect in the eternal state but there will be varying degrees of happiness in accordance with our positive volition in time. The believer's positive volition in time is viewed very seriously by God. God is a rewarder of increased faith in those who diligently seek Him, Heb 11:6. It is our increased faith which pleases God, not what we hustle around doing.

Now, in order to increase our faith the Lord must bring in a certain amount of suffering, including and especially, undeserved. If you have positive volition you can count on a measure of undeserved suffering, it's actually a blessing! This suffering serves to intensify the believer's positive volition and prevent arrogance. Arrogance is held in check by the believer who makes the proper adjustments to the word of God. It is our attitude toward the word of God which is judged on the f inal day, Joh 12:47-48. The believer with positive volition toward doctrine has respect for the Lordand that respect leaves no room for the derailing factor to enter and off- track one's positive volition.

Respect for the Lord entails fantastic blessings which are given to only those who are not deterred from their calling, Psa 31:19. Those who respect the Lord have all their needs fulfilled, Psa 34:9. But, this respect for the Lord is not an automatic virtue, it is something that Christians must be taught, Psa 34:11. Once learned, respect for the Lord perpetuates prolongs life, confidence and spiritual self-esteem. Riches and honor come from respect for the Lord, Pro 22:4. And, a local assembly that respects the Lord cannot be destroyed no matter what comes against it, Acts 9:31 cf with 2Co 13:8. Our fellowship with other believers should also be based on respect for the Lord, Psa 119:63. Good fellowship depends on your ability to discern virtue wherever it is. This is important to note since there arise disadvantages in Christian fellowship! Those disadvantages are as follows:

1- Christian fellowship can cause the establishment of wrong priorities through interaction with confused believers, a case of the weak controlling the strong.

2- Christian fellowship can become a distraction from Bible doctrine through preoccupation with friendship or romance.

3- It can become the basis for the acquisition of legalism through association with legalists, Gal 5:7-9.

4- It can become the basis for involvement in antinomianism through association with carnal believers or loose believers who are in bondage to their liberty, Gal 5:13.

5- Some even use Christian fellowship to passify their loneliness without ever solving the problem of loneliness.

6- Some use Christian fellowship as a type of dating bureau or a marriage pool.

7- It can also lead to acquiring erroneous views of Bible doctrine.

Point being, positive volition cultivates a respect for God which increases one's positive volition causing the believer to establish the proper priorities. The positive believer is occupied with Christ over people, not people over God. People can often times be used by the enemy to thwart the believer's forward pace toward the main objective in life, which is, to glorify God. There is a difference between distractions directed toward Bible doctrine itself and distractions directed toward positive volition. There are three major distractions deployed by the enemy against positivevolition:

1- The worries of this life and the deceitfulness of riches are successfully utilized, Mat 13:7,22.

2- Arrogant subjectivity is a subtle and effective weapon inserted by the enemy. Arrogant subjectivity is simply the over emphasis of personal problems. This eventually leads the believer into dwelling on his own problems so much that even while doctrine is being taught he or she is too enthralled in his own hurt and problems to effectively metabolize doctrine.

3- Then of course we have the problem of Christian fellowship which can be a major distraction toward positive volition, 1Co 1:10; 3:3.

Our short little life is the only time allotted to us to make the decisions with which to glorify God in the angelic conflict. Eternity is not the time designed by God to get serious about giving glory to Him. Eternity reflects the glory you sowed for God on earth. Your calling is as solid and tangible as the body you see in your mirror. God has every age, every detail, and every person's life perfectly planned out according to His grace and wisdom. His plan will go forward and He will be glorified with or without YOU. Yet, God offers to each of us the privilege of jumping on His train to glory and honor. A privilege most take so nonchalantly that they save it for another day. The derailing factor is strong at work in the lives of most, hence off the track they go tooting their own whistle, chugging along in their own stupid caboose.

The believer who forges forward continually feasting on the best food God has to offer in spite of the many dishes the enemy serves up to distract him will also feast on the very best in eternity! The Tree of Life as noted in Rev 2:7 is directly correlated to the Tree of Life in the Garden of Eden which fallen man was cut off from after the fall. Had man eaten from the Tree of Life in Eden after having fallen he would have perpetuated his fallen state forever! So God in His grace and wisdom sent man out of the Garden and provided a new tree in time, the tree or cross of Jesus Christ followed by the word of God. If the tree of life in time (the word of God) is fully exploited by the believer then the Tree of Life in the King's Garden in eternity is opened to the winner believer. Only winner believers gain access to the Paradise of God. "He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches, To him who overcomes [winners in time] I will [graciously] grant to eat of the tree of life, which is in the Paradise of God." Rev 2:7

The word used here by John for Paradise is not a Greek word but a Persian word which is transliterated and means the King's palace and gardens pointing to the parties that take place in the King's gardens. The Persians had what they called pardes which refers to their palaces, gardens, and such places that they partied in. It is where they partook of great happiness. This transliteration as found in our Bibles does not really tell us what it's all about. It is not just a pretty place with flowers, but is a special garden designed for living it up! This garden is associated with happiness, delight, gratification, and satisfaction. The paradise of God speaks of the fact that in eternity, in heaven, there is a special park, a paradise which belongs to God Himself. Access to the garden itself is open to all believers in their resurrection body at certain times, but to go to the tree and to eat from it is a reward reserved for only those special believers known as winners. Only those who overcame the distractions, the sufferings, and the pain in time to fully respect God and execute His plan are those who are privileged to eat of the tree of life.

Our finite minds cannot even conceive what "the best" entails. The best of everything is the monopoly of God yet He freely offers it to us, how is it that so many believers refuse God's highest and best settling instead for mediocrity? According to such choices there will not be a whole lot of believers eating from the tree of life in the King's garden. Whether or not you will be one of them is determined now, here in time, by your decisions to remain positive to God's word, plan, purpose and will for your life.

Positive volition is a sensitive mechanism and must be consistently fed to grow stronger, sort of like one of those giga-pets, most lying dead in some draw. That is just how most believers treat their relationship with God. The word used in Rev 2:7 for overcomers is the Greek word nikao which means to conquer, to be victorious, to be a winner. It is in the present tense which indicates that which habitually occurs or may be reasonably expected to occur when a believer has positive volition toward doctrine. "Winners" are those believers who consistently live in God's plan thereby applying doctrine to the problems of their life and advancing to maturity. The believer who has fulfilled his responsibility and has finished the course is the one who is offered to eat of the tree of life in the Paradise.

The Angelic Conflict - Part 33 - Point 9. - The Importance of the Hypostatic Union -

Satan did everything in his power to try to destroy the humanity of Christ through temptation, attempted assassination, and to keep him from reaching the cross.

The first one is the temptation to rely on self rather than the ministry of Holy Spirit, Mat 4:1-4, Luk 4:1-4.

When a believer reaches spiritual maturity, Satan is permitted by God to cross examine every witness that God enters into the historical phase of the angelic conflict!

“tempted” = peirazo = to make proof of, test, scrutinize, examine, try to test one’s faith, virtue, or character by enticement to sin or to act independently of God.

If a conflict does not exist, why was an inferior creature, Satan, allowed to put our Lord through a test?

2Co 2:11 Make sure no advantage be taken of us by Satan; for we are not ignorant of his schemes.

If the humanity of Christ even sins once during this test then He cannot go to the cross and die for the sins of the whole world, so He will be tempted far beyond anyone of us!

Heb 4:15 For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things, yet without sin.

In evidence testing and the angelic conflict, God the Holy Spirit is not the one who puts us to the test, He is the one who leads us to the test!

James 1:13 Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, and He Himself does not tempt anyone.

The devil is the agent who does the cross-examination in evidence testing!

This is Satan’s attempt through cross-examination to discredit those believers who reach spiritual maturity!

Ei huios ei tou Theou” = “If you are the Son of God, and you are”

“you are” = pres-act-ind - eimi = Satan recognized that Jesus was the Son of God!

Will TLJC [The Lord Jesus Christ] use His power and operate independently of the power of the Holy Spirit, or rely on God to meet His needs?

If Jesus Christ used His deity and His own power to satisfy His hunger, then He has stepped outside of the PPOG [The Predesigned Plan of God for your life], the power system provided by God the Holy Spirit!

It is committing the same sin that Satan did originally - choosing self-will over God’s will.

By persuading the deity of Christ to act independently of the indwelling Holy Spirit and the PPOG, our Lord in hypostatic union would be acting independently of the plan of God the Father.

Kenosis = during the dispensation of the Hypostatic Union, our Lord Jesus Christ voluntarily restricted the independent use of His divine attributes in compliance with the Father’s plan.

During the First Advent, TLJC depended on the power of the Holy Spirit, Bible doctrine, and PSD’s [Problem Solving Devices], and gave up any independent exercise of certain divine attributes while living among men with their human limitations.

Being full of grace and doctrine (John 1:14), the humanity of Christ extrapolated from His own soul, problem-solving devices.

He concentrated on the problem-solving devices to prevent the conversion of the outside pressure of adversity into the inside pressure of stress in the soul.

The filling of the Spirit, the faith rest drill, grace orientation, doctrinal orientation, a personal sense of destiny, personal love for God the Father, impersonal love for all mankind, and sharing the happiness of God.

Our Lord did not depend on His deity to execute the Father’s plan, He depended on the One who provided the plan, on what the Father provided.

He refused to function independently of the Father’s plan.

The temptation to solve the problem of hunger by a miracle, rather than function under the doctrinal principle that the Holy Spirit led Him here and God the Father will provide for Him.

As long as God the Father has not removed the suffering, He intends for the humanity of Christ to bear it!

If God doesn’t remove it, He intends for you to bear it!

Would the humanity of Christ pass this test by refusing to use His own power independently of the plan of God?

You can leave the plan of God for your home, the details of life, marriage, business, social distraction, friends, pleasure, personal goals and ambitions, etc.

2Ti 2:4 “entangled in the affairs of everyday life” Luk 8:14 “choked with worries and riches and pleasures of this life and you bring no fruit to maturity.”

Spiritual maturity + passing evidence testing = glorification of God to the maximum in the historic extension of the angelic conflict.

Instead of performing miracles under His own power, our Lord used the greatest power ever known; He used Bible doctrine in all three parts of his testing.

These notes are more designed to follow along during the sermon and to bring up the “hover pop-up scripture references;” if just hover doesn’t work, do a “control-left-click,” if that doesn’t work then look them up in your Bible when the Pastor asks everyone to turn to that passage in their bibles.

Internet Church Service – August 20, 2023; The Angelic Conflict - Part 33 is in HD Audio ONLY; with hover pop-up scripture references in Notes.
