Weekly Bible Study – September 21, 2020 As believers who desire to glorify the Lord, we must begin with the glass being half-full rather than half empty.

Scripture References, Word & Phrase descriptions: the “Logos Reftagger” scripture links are hover pop-up active, meaning the scripture reference will just pop-up if you hover your cursor over it (don’t click on the link, just hover your cursor over it), when finished reading, hover your cursor off the scripture reference link. If the Reftagger pop-up doesn’t show all the verses, left click on the “More” button in the Reftagger pop-up window and it will take you to the online bible. If RefTagger pop-ups don’t work on your computer, that’s OK, try right clicking the link then open in new tab or window; or if that doesn’t work, you can always use your Bible to look up the verses. Word or Phrase definition links may not have a website that opens.

Prepare yourself for learning the Word of God!

Before we begin, if you are a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ (that is; you have believed [trusted] in Him for His promised gift of eternal life), it is important to prepare yourself to learn God's Word so take a moment to name, cite or acknowledge (confess) your known unconfessed sins privately to God (i.e.; with your thoughts directed only to God the Father).

1 John 1:9 says: "If we confess our sins, He (God) is faithful and just to forgive us our sins (known sins) and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness [unknown or forgotten sins]." NKJV (New King James Version) [italics added]; we call this REBOUND, read the full doctrine as to “why” we need to use 1 John 1:9 to grow spiritually. REBOUND

If you have never personally believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, that He is the Son of God, the promised Messiah, as your Savior (that is, believed in Him for eternal life), the issue for you is not to name your sins; the issue for you is to simply exercise faith alone in Jesus Christ alone for eternal life; when you do, you will instantly receive Eternal Life: John 3:16, 5:24, 6:47, 20:30, 31.

John 6:47 says: "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me [Jesus Christ] has everlasting life." NKJV [italics added]

Notice again what Jesus said in John 6:47: "…he who believes in Me (Jesus Christ) has everlasting life." It doesn't say, "will have"; it says, "has." Therefore, the very moment you believe in Jesus Christ for His promise of everlasting life, you have it (it's really just that simple; nothing more and nothing less), and it can never be taken away from you (John 10:28-29). Furthermore, the gift (Ephesians 2:8c) of everlasting life (also called eternal life in scripture) is available to every human being; there are absolutely no exceptions.

John 3:14-15, 16, 17, 18, says: "14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 15 that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. 18 He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." NKJV

Let us now bow our hearts and take a moment to prepare for worship and learning God's Word. If there is any known sin in your life, this is the time to just cite it privately to God the Father with your thoughts directed towards Him. With your head bowed and your eyes closed, you have total privacy in your mind and soul:

Study to show yourself approved to God!

The Tree of Life is a weekly teaching summary:
God’s Word is taught Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday

STUDY TITLE:

As believers who desire to glorify the Lord, we must begin with the glass being half-full rather than half empty.

The main issue here is the viewpoint of the individual, is it positive of negative? In Phil 4:6-13, we read, Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, let your mind dwell on these things.

The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things; and the God of peace shall be with you. But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at last you have revived your concern for me; indeed, you were concerned before, but you lacked opportunity.

Not that I speak from want; for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am. I know how to get along with humble means, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need. I can do all things through Him who strengthens me
.

Notice the positive attitude that the apostle Paul had, even though he was chained up to Roman soldiers, Paul still had a positive attitude even though he was in prison. In fact, it was in prison that the apostle Paul wrote about the weapons of our warfare in Eph 6.

While in prison, the apostle Paul observed the different weapons and clothing that the Roman soldiers used and that is why certain passages in the Word of God, especially Eph 6, relates the military to the spiritual life. Let me show you an example of the Apostle Paul using military language which the Holy Spirit inspired him to do so.

First, let me remind you that Eph 6, is one of the greatest passages on the military metaphors and the Roman soldier’s weapons that was ever written. In Eph 6:10-12 Paul writes: Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of His might. Put on the full armor of God, that you may be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.

This is a reference to the spiritual warfare that believers who have become mature can expect from the enemy. There is a very popular quote that one of the greatest military generals who ever lived named Sun Tzu was known for, though there are some who disagree that he wrote this.

In reality, Sun Tzu was quoting a Proverb when Sun Tzu wrote “know yourself, know your enemy, and you shall win a hundred battles without loss.

Now, in Eph 6:13-14, Therefore, take up the full armor of God, that you may be able to resist in the evil day. Stand firm therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,

This is a reference to the combat belt and the breastplate that the soldiers would use.

Eph 6:15, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; a refence to the shoes or the boots that the Roman soldier wore. In Eph 6:16, we have the military shield which for us refers to operating in faith-rest as you protect yourself from the flaming missiles of the evil one.

Eph 6:16, in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming missiles of the evil one.

Next we have a reference to the Roman soldier’s helmet and his sword

Eph 6:17-20, And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert

with all perseverance and petition for all the saints, and pray on my behalf, that utterance may be given to me in the opening of my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel,

for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in proclaiming it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak
.

Note that the apostle Paul mentions chains because he was chained up to four Roman soldiers and that was one of the main reasons that God the Holy Spirit inspired Paul to use military weapons as an analogy to the weapons of our spiritual life.

It’s interesting that the apostle Paul, while in prison wrote the following books: Galatians; Ephesians; Philippians; Colossians, and many believe that he also wrote the book of Philemon.

Why?

Because the apostle Paul believed that a curse can be turned into a blessing and that what Satan means for evil, God can turn into good.

2Ti 2:1-5, You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. and the things which you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, these entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also.

Suffer hardship with me, as a good soldier of Christ Jesus. No soldier on active duty entangles himself in the affairs of everyday life
[a person on active duty does not live a normal life], so that he may please the one who enlisted him as a soldier.

Furthermore, if anyone competes in the athletic games, he does not receive a winner’s crown unless he competes according to the rules
.

Now, in the ancient world, at the time that the apostle Paul wrote this, the athlete had to undergo ten months of strict training just to qualify to participate in the games. First of all, you had to enter a registered state gymnasium, analogous to living in the Pre-designed Plan of GOD (PPOG). This requires dedication and devotion on the part of the believer if he desires to glorify the Lord.

Secondly, every athlete went through identical training no matter what his event. In the spiritual realm, we gather together with believers, no matter what their race, color, status, happens to be, we are all one and on an equal plane with one another. This is analogous to every believer having the identical PPOG as the place in which we train and compete.

We must fulfill the training rules of the PPOG and not to cheat or try to do anything against the rules. Therefore, only the protocol Christian is living the Christian way of life, therefore, is qualified to compete in the spiritual games found in the Angelic conflict.

The athlete or, the athletai as they were known, were the ones who trained under the rules of the national gymnasium for ten months. It was an extreme rigid form of training that everyone had to go through if they desire to be a soldier or a spiritual soldier in the kingdom of GOD.

Another interest gem is that you were not allowed to leave the large walled area of the gymnasium for ten months, and had to exercise under the authority of the gumnasiarch, the ruler of the gym (analogous to the pastor-teacher). It was a very well-paying job.

And it required extreme training to make it either in the military, or in the “Games” of the ancient world as athletes, or the ultimate motivation for all of us who desire to become winner believers.

The gumnasiarch or the pastor-teacher had marshals under him who watched the athletes. He wore a purple robe with white sandals and is analogous to the pastor or evangelist bringing forth the good news Rom 10:15, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring glad tidings of good things!”

The marshals were comparable to the deacons. They also had the authority to disqualify any athlete if they did not follow the rules.

Disqualification is analogous to the loser believers who function inside the cosmic system. Disqualification meant that the one “being disqualified” broke the rules in both the military and the Athletic Games. There are always individuals who cheat and try to get ahead and try to cut corners, even in life, but the only one that really gets deceived is the individual himself.

Disqualification meant that the one being disqualified is the ones who have wrong motivations. Disqualification is analogous to being in reversionism and apostasy. They also trained not only the body, but the mind as well. Then after the completion of the 10-month course, the athlete was then allowed to compete.

The athlete followed a set of very strict rules which constantly tested his motivation, decisions, and momentum. This is like the analogy that the apostle Paul compared this principle to when he taught about the Judgment Seat of Christ.

1Co 3:12-15, Now if any man builds upon the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, each man’s work will become evident; for the day will show it, because it is to be revealed with fire; and the fire itself will test the quality of each man’s work.

If any man’s work which he has built upon it remains, he shall receive a reward. If any man’s work is burned up, he shall suffer loss; but he himself shall be saved, yet so as through fire
.

Whether or not it is the military or in the athletic games, everyone was to reveal their motivation for doing whatever it is they had done.

This is analogous to the concept of daily perception of doctrine and momentum testing to reveal what your true desire is. Another principle of both the military and the athletic games in the ancient world is the fact that you could not leave for any reason or you would be disqualified either from the games or from the military. Everyone did the same exercise under the same authority.

There were eight to ten exercise periods during the day which demanded that everyone would be prepared and ready at all time to a positive. Everyone received group exercise naked outdoors regardless of the weather (analogous to everyone getting the same doctrinal teaching). Daily trumpet calls had to be met at various times and if you missed one you were disqualified). Everyone had equal privilege and opportunity to compete.

Hymn #2

Preparing yourself for the study of God’s Word

Before we begin, if you are a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ (that is— you have trusted in Him for eternal life), it is important to prepare yourself to take-in God’s Word or participating in a Communion Service, so take a moment to name, cite or acknowledge your sins privately directly to God the Father. This will assure that you are in fellowship with God the Father and the Holy Spirit’s convicting ministry, also called the convincing ministry will then be able to teach you as the Holy Spirit is the real teacher and the pastor’s message is the vehicle the Holy Spirit uses to convince you what you are learning is true or not.

1 John 1:9, says—“If we confess [simply name, cite or acknowledge to God the Father] our sins [known sins], He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins [known sins] and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness [all unknown and forgotten sins];” NKJV (New King James Version); we call this REBOUND, read the full doctrine as to “why” we need to use 1 John 1:9 to grow spiritually. REBOUND

If you have never personally believed in the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior (that is, believed in Him for eternal life), the issue for you is not to name your sins to God; the issue for you is to believe by faith alone in Jesus Christ alone for eternal life and you will be saved the very second you believe in Him:

John 6:47 says: “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me [Jesus Christ] has everlasting life.” NKJV

Notice again what John 6:47 says, “he who believes in Me [Jesus Christ] has everlasting life.” It doesn’t say, “will have”; it says, “has.” Therefore, the very moment you believe Jesus Christ’s promise of everlasting life, you have it (it’s really just that simple), and it can never be lost or taken away from you (John 10:28-29). Furthermore, the gift of everlasting life (also called eternal life in scripture) is available to every human being; there are absolutely no exceptions.

John 3:14-18 says: “And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” NKJV

Let us now bow our hearts and take a moment to prepare for learning God’s Word, if there is any known sin in your life, this is the time to just cite it privately to God the Father with your thoughts directed towards Him. With your head bowed and your eyes closed, you have total privacy in your mind and soul:

NOTES
Unlike the bible study, these notes are not just for reading without watching the video. These notes are more designed to follow along during the sermon and to bring up the “hover pop-up scripture references” (some websites may require to left click the link, if that doesn’t work then look them up in your Bible) when the Pastor asks everyone to turn to that passage in their bibles.

Sermon: The Lord will fulfill your desires in His time, not your time.

The function of a vine and its branches in the natural realm and then the principle of perception, metabolization, and application in the spiritual realm.

In the spiritual realm, no matter what we face in the devil’s world, the Word of God is always made available to those who desire to know the truth.

Psa 3:7:4 Delight yourself in the Lord; And He will give you the desires of your heart.

In the original language of the Hebrew King Solomon recognized that “hope deferred” was the opposite of “desire fulfilled;” (Prov 13:12)

Prov 13:12 Hope deferred = the Hebrew noun towcheleth which refers to the idea of “tarrying” and “confident expectation, trust.

Hebrew verb mashak – translated “deferred” = to draw, to drag, to seize, or to be drawn out, to be postponed.

It has the idea of waiting upon the Lord to fulfill certain desires in your life but these desires are fulfilled “in His time” not “in our time.”

“I am” = a present active indicative of the Greek verb eimi which means that our Lord keeps on being something, here He always keeps on being the true vine.

Notice that the present tense of eimi means that our Lord keeps on being the true vine for all the branches or literally for all believers.

The active voice says that our Lord produces the action of the verb which means that He produces and provides everything that the branches (believers) need to live.

2Pe 1:3, – divine power has graciously given to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.

Participle = a divine purpose for using the vine and the branch analogy, — which is to reveal the dependency that the branches have as they learn to rest and abide “in Him.”

The word ‘true’ is the an adjective alethinos which means true, trustworthy, dependable. He is called a true, trustworthy, dependable Vine.

When the Lord Jesus Christ says, ‘I am the dependable vine’ it means He is dependable for inner happiness and contentment.

Prin: No believer has ever reached spiritual maturity and remained there very long without experiencing something of the great happiness which God provides for all.

The word ‘branch’ is the Greek noun klema which refers to the believers in the Church-age.

1. Relationship with the vine. We have a brand-new relationship with Him because we are in union with Him, just as the branch is in union with the vine.

2. The branch is also used by our Lord because “live branches” indicates productivity and the productivity for the Church-age must come from the believer who is on the earth.

2Co 5:20 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were entreating through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.

Right now, the vine is in heaven, the Lord Jesus Christ.

The branches, also known as believers, are located in two different areas, either in heaven or on the earth.

John 15 = is a passage that stirs me up because of all the great doctrinal subjects that our Lord mentions over and over again.

In Rev 2 and 3 = seven churches who are giving a command by TLJC [The Lord Jesus Christ] when he said; ‘He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.

All seven churches were given commandments that the Lord gave to us when He commanded us to also “Hear what the Spirit says to the churches”

In Heaven, all believers who have died are in an interim body in Heaven learning and worshipping the entire Trinity.

Those believers who are alive right now are given the role of an ambassador which is temporary and at this moment, they are conductors of productivity.

All things can be for our sake because we can turn anything from a curse to a blessing as we cause more and more people to give thanks as we abound to the glory of God.

We go from the human body to the interim body and finally to the resurrection-body.|

Now, every branch derives its life from the root of the Vine, as well as the vine itself.

Just like the branches derive life from the root of the vine so do believers derive resurrection life from their spiritual Vine, the Lord Jesus Christ.

The root of the Vine represents the foundation of the Vine as it refers to the stability and the basic foundations that are taught to us in the spiritual realm so that we can have a strong foundation.

For example, in Prov 10:25 we read When the whirlwind passes, the wicked is no more, But the righteous has an everlasting foundation.

Eph 2:20 having been built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the corner stone,

2Ti 2:19 Nevertheless, the firm foundation of God stands, having this seal,

“The Lord knows those who are His,” and, “Let everyone who names the name of the Lord abstain from wickedness.”

Psa 89:14 Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Thy throne; Lovingkindness and truth go before Thee.

Psa 97:2 Clouds and thick darkness surround Him; Righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne.

There are different approaches that believers can use concerning their “Eternal Security” that guarantees that believers cannot lose their salvation no matter what.

John 15 – our Lord is teaching His disciples the difference between suffering for blessing and suffering for divine discipline.

Why did the Lord teach His disciples such a controversial subject which really is about divine discipline and suffering for blessing.

Our Lord was preparing His disciples to always be ready to give to everyone the reasons that they can handle adversity or prosperity as well as deserved suffering and undeserved suffering.

All of us understand that we cannot lose our salvation by committing any type of sins and that is why I have chosen to emphasize the different approaches
we could take.

By approach I mean Phil 3:14 “I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”

You do not fall away from the Lord but believe that you can live the spiritual life as you forget what lies behind and reach forward to what lies ahead.

1. The Positional Approach: Rom 8:1; Eph 1:3-6; Jude 1.

Every believer is in union with Christ and is perfect in their position but not in their condition which is why the apostle Paul says certain things the way he does in Rom 8.

Notice, if you are “in Christ,” then this verse says you will never be condemned or judged by God no matter what you think, say, or do.

There is conviction by God the Holy Spirit, which is legitimate, but condemnation is not.

Holy Spirit conviction verses satanic condemnation is always a crossroads as to which way we will go.

Holy Spirit conviction always gives us a way out in which the grace of God is magnified and reconciliation is the goal of God the Holy Spirit.

Whereas satanic accusations condemn a person and has no way out except satanic condemnation.

It is the Spirit verses Satan.

Conviction verses condemnation.

It is life spiritually or death experientially.

Even though our lives will be judged according to the word of God, it is an evaluation of our works not condemnation for our sins.

John 7:24 “Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment.”

John 3:17 “For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through Him.

John 5:22 “For not even the Father judges anyone, but He has given all judgment to the Son,

John 12:47-48; ”I have come as light into the world, that everyone who believes in Me may not remain in darkness.

John 12:47 ”And if anyone hears My sayings, and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world.

John 12:48 “He who rejects Me, and does not receive My sayings, has one who judges him; the word I spoke is what will judge him at the last day.

Even when our Lord had to judge us which was really His way of evaluating the lifestyle that we live; He did so with grace and honor motivated by agape love.

We are “in Christ” that is our position and not our condition.

Therefore, our position in Christ guarantees that there is no condemnation for any of us who have been saved.

Rom 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

The prepositional phrase “in Christ” gets right to the point — Because we are “in Christ” we will never lose our salvation.

Later on, in this passage the apostle Paul stresses that we are in Christ and we can never lose what God has given by means of grace.

What we have noted so far really has to do with the fact that we share what Christ has and we share who Christ is.

What a great doctrinal principle backed up by the “Divine Promises” from God; 1Jo 3:1-2.

Our Lord is seated at the right hand of the Father and we share everything that He has and everything that He is; Rom 8:29.

Rom 8:29 “For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren;”

1. Christ is absolute righteousness; 2Co 5:21.

2. Christ is elected, we share His election — Eph 1:4.

3. Christ has a destiny; we share His destiny — Eph 1:5.

4. Christ is the Son, we are in union with Christ, we share His sonship; 2Ti 2:1.

5. Christ is the heir; we share His heirship; Rom 8:16-17.

6. Christ is sanctified, we share His sanctification; 1Co 1:2.

7. Christ is a King; we share His kingdom; 2Pe 1:11.

8. Christ is the High Priest; we share His priesthood; Heb 10:10-14.

We will all have to face not only deserved suffering but also underserved suffering as well; Phil 1:29; 1Pe 3:12-18.

The apostle Peter says that you and I can suffer for doing what is right rather than for doing what is wrong. = Undeserved Suffering.

They are on the way from the upper room to the Garden of Gethsemane and it is along the way that Jesus gives the discourse on the true vine.

Eph 2:8-9, the apostle Paul said that salvation is a gift and in Rom 11:29 for the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable [without Him changing His mind].

This whole analogy of the vine is to teach us about the believer’s vital relationship and fellowship with the Lord Jesus Christ and what those benefits are.

The focus of this vine analogy is to emphasize production in the spiritual life which is what the passage refers to as bearing fruit.

The hills along the Kidron Valley outside of Jerusalem are covered with grape vines AND were covered with grape vines.

God specifically designed things so that this event would take place, that Jesus would go by the grape vines, and he would use this as an analogy of the believer’s relationship to Himself.

Billions and billions of years ago, the Lord created the grape vine in order to teach certain things about the Christian life and then Christian’s relationship to God.

God created the sheep so that He could utilize it as an analogy to teach certain things about the life of the believer.

One thing we learn about the vine is that the wood itself is useless.

You can take the wood of the vine and burn it to make heat. You can’t use it to make furniture or to make weapons.

The wood itself is virtually useless.

It is good for only one thing: producing fruit.

In the different forms of typology, wood represents humanity, sometimes in a good way, other times in a useless way.

The purpose for planting the vine is equivalent to salvation, but you don’t plant the vine just for the enjoyment of its growth.

The purpose is in the end result which is the production of fruit.

Only mature plants produce fruit. Immature plants are to continue to grow.

The purpose of a plant is to produce fruit but it doesn’t produce fruit until it is mature.

All the time it is maturing it has to be fed all the right nutrients under the right conditions, and then it absorbs all of that nutrition from the soil in order to produce fruit.

In many churches fruit is defined as going to prayer meeting, having your daily devotions, reading your Bible every day, giving to the church, witnessing, etc.

The Scriptures do not define that as production, that is the function of the believer’s priesthood, not production.

When talking about fruit—for example, in Gal 5:22-23—the fruit production of the Holy Spirit is “love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,” etc.

Production of fruit is character, an inner transformation of the soul into the character of Jesus Christ.

That takes time, it takes the proper nutrition, the proper feeding and handling.

Two things: the filling by means of God the Holy Spirit—Eph 5:18; and the content of that filling is the Word of Christ—Col 3:16, “Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you.”

Therefore, the very moment you believe in Jesus Christ for His promise of everlasting life, you have it (it's really just that simple; nothing more and nothing less), and it can never be taken away from you (John 10:28-29).

The Tree of Life is a weekly teaching summary:
God’s Word is taught Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday

STUDY TITLE:

According to the Word of GOD there are eight different
baptisms found in the Bible, Five Dry and Three Wet.

John 15:2, “Every branch in Me [Baptism of the Spirit] that does not bear fruit, He takes away [Divine Discipline]; and every {branch} that bears fruit [Fruit of the Spirit], He prunes it [suffering for blessing], that it may bear more fruit [Divine good and the glorification].

This past week, we began John 15:2 with some isagogics and categorical doctrines as an introduction to this verse.

1. The first principle that we noted in John 15:2 is the principle of being “in Christ, as New Creatures or “in Christ as “New Spiritual Species” which says “Every branch in Me” referring to “every believer that is found and involved the Baptism of the Spirit.

According to the Word of GOD there are eight different baptisms found in the Bible, Five Dry and Three Wet.

1. The Baptism of John the Baptist; Mark 1:4.

2. The Baptism of Moses (1Co 10:1–3).

3. The Baptism of Jesus (Matt 3:13-17 ).

4. The Baptism of Fire (Matt 3:11-12).

5. The Baptism of the Holy Spirit (1Co 12:13).

6. The Baptism of the Cross; (Mark 10:35-39).

7. The Baptism of Church-age believers; (Matt 28:19).

8. Noah’s type Baptism (1Pe 3:18-22)

So, we have eight different baptisms that are found in the New Testament which means to be identified with something or someone as we ought to. Remember that the word baptism means identification or association, not water, though water is used in some of the baptisms.

And, as we also noted on Friday, there are two categories of baptisms or identification in the Scripture:

1. We have an actual identification which we call a Real Baptism.

2. We have a Ritual Baptism which is represented by the use of water and the appropriate identification that is mentioned in the passage.

The ritual baptism also uses water.

Now, there are five “real baptisms,” meaning something is really identified with something else which is real or someone else who is real.

We are going to look at a few in detail. I am going to give you some of the real baptisms and how they really relate to the Doctrine of Dispensations and living the spiritual life. I am also going to attempt to give you some further insight into the Doctrine of Baptisms by revealing to you the importance of identification and association, especially when we are living the spiritual life.

The Bible mentions some very important principles that do not include water.

Let me illustrate this by giving you a list of distinct baptisms found in the Bible including the only one left in operation today as taught by Jesus Christ according to the revelation of the mystery; Eph 4:5.

Now, when the apostle Paul wrote to the believers in Ephesus, he said.

Eph 4:4-5, {There is} one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all.

Notice in this section of the Word of God that oneness and unity is needed to fulfill the PPOG followed by your very own PSD.

Notice how fantastic the Apostle Paul writes as God the Holy Spirit, our Mentor, inspired the genius of the Apostle Paul, to put in writing many of the doctrines found in the Mystery Doctrines of the Church-age; Eph 3:1-10.

Now, since we are right here, let’s look at what many believers can expect as they continually search for truth and not compromise their doctrinal conclusions. Look at what the apostle Paul wrote in Eph 4:4-6, where Paul never said; “There is one body, etc.” To be totally accurate and seeking to emphasize certain nouns in the Greek language looks and sounds something like this:

Eph 4:4-6, notice what the apostle Paul says; One body, one Spirit, one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all.

That is a loaded passage.

So, let me give you some doctrinal principles so that you will be able to receive even more than what you expected.

1. There is Noah’s type of Baptism where the Apostle Peter mentions that eight people were saved by water because Noah’s family identified with Noah and they were saved or delivered OUT OF THE WATER not saved or delivered in or by the water; Gen 6:13; 1Pe 3:18-22.

We should never teach on the subject of baptism unless we include these two entire chapter found in Gen 6:1-13 and 1Pe 3:18-22.

Gen 6:1-13, Now it came about, when men began to multiply on the face of the land, and daughters were born to them, that the sons of God saw that the daughters of men were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves, whomever they chose.

Then the Lord said, “My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, because he also is flesh; nevertheless, his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.”

The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came into the daughters of men, and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown. Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great on the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And the Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart.

And the Lord said, “I will blot out man whom I have created from the face of the land, from man to animals to creeping things and to birds of the sky; for I am sorry that I have made them.”

But Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord. These are the records of the generations of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, blameless in his time; Noah walked with God.

And Noah became the father of three sons: Shem, Ham, and Japheth. Now the earth was corrupt in the sight of God, and the earth was filled with violence.

And God looked on the earth, and behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted their way upon the earth. Then God said to Noah, “The end of all flesh has come before Me; for the earth is filled with violence because of them; and behold, I am about to destroy them with the earth
.

2. We have the Baptism unto Moses when the apostle Paul presents Israel’s baptism unto Moses “in the cloud and in the sea;” 1Co 10:1-2; Exo 14:29.

For example, look at the first dry baptism which is the Baptism of Moses; 1Co 10:1-2. In 1Co 10:1, we read; For I do not want you to be unaware, brethren, that our fathers were all under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; and all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea;

Now, the word “baptized is the aorist passive indicative of the verb baptizo and the passive voice tells us that they received the action of the verb which is the fact that they were being identified with Moses.

And this identification, not water baptism, but identification with Moses also went on after they crossed the Red Sea and lived in the wilderness.

So that in 1Co 10:3-6, and all ate the same spiritual food; and all drank the same spiritual drink, for they were drinking from a spiritual rock which followed them; and the rock was Christ. Nevertheless, with most of them God was not well pleased; for they were laid low [killed by God] in the wilderness. Now these things happened as examples for us, that we should not crave evil things, as they also craved.

This was a real identification in which Moses was identified with the open path through the Red Sea and the Jews were identified with Moses. And, the water involved in this baptism killed the Egyptian military, it did not save them at all.

Here, mainly Egyptian unbelievers were immersed in the water as a means of our Lord killing them with the exception of a few Egyptians and rabble who had believed in the God of Israel, Jehovah Elohim, the Lord God who led others to salvation by means of the Ten Plagues.

Here, mainly unbelievers, with the exception of some, were immersed or dipped in the water as a means of death.

3. The next baptism is the baptism of the cross which is found in Mark 10:38. One of the many benefits of reading the verses that we are noting so that we can become familiar with the book in the Bible as well as the author of the book and the personality and character that we are studying in the book.

Here, the cup mentioned is the cup of the Cross where our LORD was about to be identified with the sins of mankind. Nothing to do with water here but everything to do with the reality of the identification that would take place between the Lord Jesus Christ drinking the cup of sins from mankind by means of the Baptism of the Cross.

4. The fourth baptism is the Baptism of the Spirit which is a Real dry baptism and not a WET baptism because the Baptism of the Spirit occurs at the moment of salvation for Church-age believers only, 1Co 12:13, For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we were all made to drink of one Spirit.

The baptism of the Spirit is the means of forming the Royal Family and of breaking the back of the old sin nature as the old ruler of human life. Through this baptism, the believer is positionally changed because he or she was placed in Christ, and identified with Him, as a member of His body, which is the Church, where He is the head and we are identified as members of His body. Here is the most important baptism for us. This is a real baptism not a ritual. In fact, this baptism, the baptism of the Spirit, is more real to us then who we are at the present time.

Sermon: The Bible says we will all have to face not only
deserved suffering but also undeserved suffering as well.

There are many believers who believe in certain doctrines and who try to make a verse say what they want it to say to back up their ignorance of the Word of God.

These are the types of individuals who pick a subject and then they look for scriptures to back-up what they believe when it should be just the opposite.

Opposite = We should learn what the verses and passages say and teach us first, then we should allow the Word of God to dictate to us the correct interpretation of the passage.

We don’t use the Bible or misquote the Bible and take it out of the context to back up what we claim to believe by taking scriptures out of their context.

“taken scriptures out of context” = the #1 reason for the biggest problems of interpretation that most believers not only take God’s Word out of context but they also reject the concept of ICE.

Most believers are either ignorant of the principle of ICE because they have learned the doctrine and have rejected it.

They have not learned that because they have rejected the guidance and direction of God the Holy Spirit, Who gives every believer the opportunity to come to the right interpretation.

Two important blessings that God the Holy Spirit offers every believer after salvation so that they have the opportunity to grow in grace and knowledge and become a “winner” believer.

Two blessing or gifts are:
(1) Being assigned to a certain pastor.
(2) Being assigned to a certain local assembly.

Other Blessings:
(1) The right man and the right woman; 1Co 7:17.
(2) The right job; Ecc 9:9.
(3) The right children; Psa 127:3.
(4) The right friends; Prov 17:17.

These are great gifts from the Lord to us but we will never really be truly thankful or appreciate them or even enjoy them until we see them as gifts from our Lord who truly loves us unconditionally.

(Q) What is our Lord’s attitude when it comes to gifts and giving?

2Co 9:15 “Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!”

James 1:17 Every good thing bestowed and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation, or shifting shadow.

(Q) How many of you desire to be the best employer or employee?

(A) You can find the right job or your niche in life is also a gift from above, for both believer and unbeliever; Ecc 9:9.

Ecc 9:9 Enjoy life with the woman whom you love all the days of your fleeting life which He has given to you under the sun;

for this is your reward in life, and in your toil in which you have labored under the sun.

(Q) How many of you desire to be the best children?

(A) The Bible teaches that children are a gift from the Lord; Psa 127:3; Behold, children are a gift of the Lord; The fruit of the womb is a reward.

(Q) How many of you desire to be the best friend a person could have?

The Bible teaches that you can in Prov 17:17 when Solomon said “A friend loves at all times, And a brother is born for adversity.”

Not only are these right blessings from the Lord but I am sure that there are other right blessings that I have not mentioned that are also given to believers who love the Word of God.

They were more noble because they received the word of God with great eagerness and zeal, and they also examined the Scriptures daily, to see whether these things that the apostle Paul was teaching were so.

Many of the Churches were known because of the faithfulness of prominent Greek women and men.

I. C. E =
1. Isagogics – the historical setting.

2. Categories – combining Scripture with Scripture.

3. Exegesis – the grammatical and syntactical analysis of the passage from the original languages.

Our first principle concerning what our Lord has given us which I will call “The Eternal Security Approaches.”

In our main passage in John 15 on the Vine and the branches, our Lord is teaching His disciples the difference between suffering for blessing and suffering for divine discipline.

One of the questions that should stimulate your curiosity is why did the Lord teach His disciples such a controversial subject which really is about divine discipline and suffering for blessing?

1Pe 3:15 Sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence;

You cannot lose your salvation and we will approach this subject very carefully by using the word “Approach.”

As you are living the spiritual life, you proceed to advance toward the goal that is set before us as Phil 3:14 says, “I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”

You have to make sure that you do not fall away from the Lord but believe that you can live the spiritual life as you forget what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead.

1. We are finally at the beginning of our “first approach” concerning the doctrine of eternal security which I call the Positional Approach: Rom 8:1; Eph 1:3-6; Jude 1.

Every believer is in union with Christ and is perfect in their position but not in their condition which is why the apostle Paul says certain things the way he does in Rom 8.

If you are “in Christ,” then this verse says you will never be condemned or judged by God no matter what you think, say, or do.

Satanic accusations condemn a person and has no way out except satanic condemnation.

It is the Spirit verses Satan.

Conviction verses condemnation.

It is life spiritually or death experientially.

Even though our lives will be judged according to the word of God, it is an evaluation of our works not condemnation for our sins.

Our Lord’s word on the type of judgment we will face; John 7:24 “Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment.”

In John 3:17 “For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through Him.

John 5:22 “For not even the Father judges anyone, but He has given all judgment to the Son,

Even when our Lord had to judge us which was really His way of evaluating the lifestyle that we live; He did so with grace and honor motivated by agape love.

We are “in Christ” that is our position and not our condition.

Our position in Christ guarantees that there is no condemnation for any of us who have been saved.

Rom 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

The prepositional phrase “in Christ” gets right to the point — Because we are “in Christ” we will never lose our salvation.

The apostle Paul stresses that we are in Christ and we can never lose what God has given by means of grace.

Blessings we have “in Christ.”

The Bible says we will all have to face not only deserved suffering but also underserved suffering as well; Phil 1:29; 1Pe 3:12-18.

You and I can suffer for doing what is right rather than for doing what is wrong. = Undeserved Suffering.

One of the most important messages our Lord taught His disciples in the Vine and the branches is the place of suffering according to the Word of God.

The apostle Paul taught His disciples and followers how they can glory in their sufferings and the great principles that suffering produces, such as perseverance; character; and hope.

Rom 5:3-4 Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.

The apostle Paul also gave some great doctrinal advice to the Corinthians concerning the divine viewpoint on suffering; 2Co 1:2-7.

1Pe 4:1 Therefore, since Christ has suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same purpose, because he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin.

”ceased from the power of the Old Sin Nature = controlling the souls of believers and unbelievers.

“ceased from sin” does not mean that they no longer sin but it does mean they have reached a point where the sin nature no longer has dominion over the individual.

Acts 5:41 So they went on their way from the presence of the Council, rejoicing that they had been considered worthy to suffer shame for His name.

Prin-All undeserved suffering requires you to use the inventory of your doctrine resident in your soul.

Gal 6:5 For each one shall bear his own load.

In Lam 3:27-28, we read from the prophet Jeremiah; “It is good for a man that he should bear the yoke in his youth [time of youthful vigor]. Let him sit alone and be silent since has laid it on him.

STUDY TITLE:

The Spiritual Gifts given to Believers.

John 15:1-14, “I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes it, that it may bear more fruit. You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you, unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me, and I in him, he bears much fruit; for apart from Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is thrown away as a branch, and dries up; and they gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it shall be done for you. By this is My Father glorified, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples. Just as the Father has loved Me, I have also loved you; abide in My love.

“If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love; just as I have kept My Father’s commandments, and abide in His love. These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full. This is My commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends. You are My friends, if you do what I command you
.’

John 15 takes place after our LORD and the disciples have left the upper room where they are on the way from the upper room to the Garden of Gethsemane and it is along the way that our LORD gives the discourse on the true vine.

By now, you should know that John 15 is one of those controversial passages that we run into every now and then that is subject to some misinterpretation.

Sooner or later we run into someone who teaches that you can lose your salvation and that the LORD will take back His gift of salvation. However, our LORD doesn’t give us gifts and then takes them back.

For example, salvation and living the spiritual life is said to be a gift in Eph 2:8-10.

Eph 2:8-10, For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of GOD; not as a result of works, that no one should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which GOD prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

Therefore, salvation is a gift and as a gift, our LORD will never takom.

In our translation of the NAS, we read in Rom 11:29 for the gifts and the calling of GOD are irrevocable. The Living Bible says in Rom 11:29, For GOD’s gifts and His call can never be withdrawn.

Some of these doctrines were brand new doctrines that were never heard or taught before the Gospel of John; Rom 16:25-27.

Rom 16:25-17, Now to Him who is able to establish you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery which has been kept secret for long ages past, but now is manifested, and by the Scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the eternal GOD, has been made known to all the nations, leading to obedience of faith; to the only wise GOD, through Jesus Christ, be the glory forever. Amen.

Look at Matt 12:38-41, Then some of the scribes and Pharisees answered Him, saying, “Teacher, we want to see a sign from You.” But He answered and said to them, “An evil and adulterous generation craves for a sign; and yet no sign shall be given to it but the sign of Jonah the prophet; for just as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the sea monster, so shall the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. The men of Nineveh shall stand up with this generation at the judgment, and shall condemn it because they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and behold, something greater than Jonah is here.”

What is the preaching of Jonah that caused the Ninevites to repent or to change their mind concerning Jehovah or our LORD? I was the Gospel that changed their mind towards as our LORD used the three days and the three nights that He was in the belly of the whale or the belly of one of the largest fish of his day.

So, as our LORD was teaching these principles which He revealed concerning salvation, He evangelized the wickedness of the Ninevites and He also revealed that something greater than Jonah’s experience is here.

Matt 12:42, “The Queen of the South shall rise up with this generation at the judgment and shall condemn it, [Why?] because she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and behold, something greater than Solomon is here.

The queen of Sheba traveled thousands of miles just to hear the wisdom and the doctrine that Solomon possessed. The LORD said: “something greater than Solomon is here” and that does not refer to “someone greater than Solomon is here,” although our LORD was greater than Solomon.

What our LORD was saying is that the “something greater” than what Solomon taught is here and that “something greater” refers to the new teachings that our LORD brought to His people.

You say, “What new teachings?”

John 1:17, For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ.

The new teachings were now based upon “grace and truth” and not the Mosaic Law.

Matt 12:43-45, “Now when the unclean spirit goes out of a man, it passes through waterless places, seeking rest, and does not find it. I will return to my house from which I came’; and when it comes, it finds it unoccupied, swept, and put in order. The it goes, and takes along with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there; and the last state of that man becomes worse than the first. That is the way it will also be with this evil generation.”

The point here is that we have something far greater and more challenging than the blasphemy professed by the “tongues crowd” or the “emotional revolt of the soul crowd” and that is the fact that you and I have and hold doctrine in our soul; Psa 56:4-11.

This is a very interesting passage that was either written “by David” or written “for David” when David was outnumbered by the Philistines who seized him in Gath.

This is a Psalm that describes David “faking madness” or pretending that he was crazy or that he had lost his mind. On one occasion, while he was being hunted by King Saul, who was extremely jealous of David who Saul was trying to kill or have him killed.

In the ancient world, it was considered to be a curse or bad luck if anyone took advantage of those who were mentally challenged by mistreating them or hurting them in some way.

King Achish, the king of Gath, would not touch David or hurt him in any way. And so, upon discovering who he was, the Philistines suggested to Achish that David was a security risk, and David became afraid and ran away for his life.

This was some of the background to the passage before us which is Psa 56.

Consequently, David disguised his sanity by acting insane.

And then thinking David was crazy, King Achish of the Philistines let him go with his life, as he was considered a harmless idiot.

Psa 56:1, Be gracious to me, O GOD, for man has trampled upon me; Fighting all day long he oppresses me.

This is a reference to the fact that David had to be on the alert at all times because his enemies would not leave him alone. Just like you and me have to deal with a constant outbreak of negativity, indifference, apathy, and other sins.

Psa 56:2-4, My foes [enemies] have trampled upon me all day long, For they are many who fight proudly against me. When I am afraid, I will put my trust in Thee. In GOD, whose word I praise, In GOD I have put my trust; I shall not be afraid. What can mere man do to me?

Notice that we should respect and have praise for the word of GOD. This means, not only should we praise GOD the Father, GOD the Son, and GOD the Holy Spirit, but we should also “Praise the Word;” Psa 56:4; 56:10.

Psa 56:4-11, In GOD, whose word I praise, In GOD I have put my trust; I shall not be afraid. What can mere man do to me? All day long they distort or pervert GOD’s words; All their thoughts are against me for evil. They attack, they lurk, they watch my steps, As they have waited to take my life. Because of wickedness, cast them forth, In anger put down the peoples, O GOD! Thou hast taken account of my wanderings; Put my tears in Thy bottle; Are they not in Thy book? Then my enemies will turn back in the day when I call; This I know, that GOD is for me. In GOD, whose word I praise, In the LORD, whose word I praise, In GOD I have put my trust, I shall not be afraid. What can man do to me?

Now, concerning the ministries that GOD the Holy Spirit is said to graciously give to us and provide for us although we are given some fantastic blessings at the moment of salvation, none of these ministries make you feel better or any differently. There is no emotional experience with a spiritual connotation.

There’s nothing wrong with the emotions as long as they are used in the way our LORD created them to be used and that is for either the “legitimate emotion of sorrow or hurt” or the “legitimate emotion of laughter and rejoicing.”

Sermon: Giving is a vital subject to master, and
there is a difference between tithing and giving.

Many believers come to the wrong interpretation of a passage because they believe a certain doctrinal principle without having the doctrinal principle even mentioned in the passage that they are studying.

I would like to ask all of you a very simple question that demands some sort of answers on your part if you are searching for truth.

There are many believers who believe in certain doctrines and who try to make a verse say what they want it to say to back up their ignorance of the Word.

These types of individuals pick a subject and then they look for scriptures to back-up what they believe.

We should learn what the verses and passages say and teach us first, then we should allow the Word of God to dictate to us the correct interpretation of the passage.

Question: Would you agree with the fact that the Bible says things just the way our Lord desires those things to be said?

Question: Do you believe that it doesn’t matter what is said, all that matters is that we are sincere when we say it or teach it to others?

And I would submit to you unless your sincerity is accompanied by
Truth, it is nothing but sincerity; Jos 24:14.

Jos 24:14, Now, therefore, fear the Lord and serve Him in sincerity and truth; and put away the gods which your fathers served beyond the River and in Egypt, and serve the Lord.

This is literally saying to put away or do away with the gods which your fathers served [Demons and Cults] beyond the River and in Egypt, and serve the Lord.

Question: Do you believe that all believers should be accountable for what they hear?

Question: Do you believe that the Lord has made available everything that a believer would need to fulfill the Word of God?

Question: Do you believe that a person can be saved or born again simply by asking Jesus into their Heart?

Question: Or, do you believe that a person can be saved or born again simply by asking Jesus into their life?

Question: Do you believe that if a passage is dealing with a certain subject that is very important for the believer to understand, that it should say exactly what the Lord wants to say to all of us.

There are many pastors and many believers who believe that the Bible reveals the principle of Tithing or giving God 10% of everything that you have made since the last time you gave.

Jews – both believers and unbelievers — are taught that if they give God 10% of everything they have made or earned, that God will bless those who Tithe and also those who give with the proper motivation.

“Well, What’s the problem then?”
“Well, What’s the problem then?” Tithing was never a form of grace-giving to God and to His people, Tithing is paying the taxes that both believers and unbelievers owe to the Lord and the Levitical priests.

Tithing and Grace-giving is not a command for the Jews only, but Tithing is unbelievers and believers to pay their taxes and then secondly, to give to the Lord in both the natural and spiritual realm.

The natural = Tithing
The spiritual = Giving

Beginning in Mal 3:6 where we read about God’s faithfulness to the Jews and why they were not destroyed when they went astray and failed.

“sons of Jacob,” = He wasn’t judging them but trying to guide them so that they could be changed from being a Jacob (liar and deceiver) to becoming an Israelite or named Israel which means “a Prince with God.”

Jacob had been striving to get to know the Lord so that he could get blessings from the Lord and also to become intimate with the Lord; Gen 32:24.

Israel also means that He Will Be a Prince with God.

Gen 32:30, So Jacob named the place Peniel, for he said, “I have seen God face to face, yet my life has been preserved.”

“I have seen God face to face, yet my life has been preserved” — refers to the Doctrine of the Trinity and the Doctrine of Divine Providence.

There is a distinction between tithes and offerings.

In the time of apostasy in Israel the citizens, both the believers and unbelievers, failed to pay their taxes and believers were not fulfilling their obligation in spiritual giving as well.

Tithes refer to a system of taxation that both believers and unbelievers were to pay, whereas the offerings can refer to the animal sacrifices that the Jews were to offer to the Lord and His servants.

Do not deny your fellow believer, male or female, the privilege of giving and the blessings that result from having a gracious attitude in the realm of giving; Acts 20:35. 2Co 8:5 and this, not as we had expected, but they first gave themselves to the Lord and to us by the will of God.

Do you believe that there are certain subjects in the word of God that are very vital and important for the believer to obey what the Bible says concerning the subject that is in view.

Do you believe that there are certain doctrinal principles that are much more important than other doctrines?

Do you believe that salvation is one of those doctrines that the believer cannot afford to mistranslate the passage or the verse in question?

Do you believe in the salvation that our Lord has provided for us and why it must be taught precisely and accurately?

Do you believe that there is only one way to salvation, faith alone with Christ alone.

Over 120 times the word believe (only) is related to how an individual can become a Christian.

The Bible is a book that you and I can read and understand that I believe gets right to the point if you are available to be taught precisely and without compromise.

Do you believe that giving is a very vital subject to master and where there are no excuses one can give for not being blessed for their attitude when it comes to giving.

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.

Giving is related to so many other Biblical doctrines that two chapters in Second Corinthians are necessary to adequately cover its relationship to the spiritual life; 2Co 8:1-9:15.

Giving includes your attitude, your viewpoint, the condition of your soul, the giving of yourself and of your capacity to give as well as of your possessions.

Billions and billions of years ago God knew that, because of the angelic conflict, the function of giving would be attacked both within the local church and in the secular world.

Many people give because they think that God is a “genie” who will give them what they want because they gave a certain amount in the collection plate = wrong motivation.

What do all of the principles that are involved in salvation really teach and reveal?

They teach the importance of being accurate and right to the point without using semantics but instead they reveal the exact way to be saved.

In John 15 = be on the alert because of the false doctrines that apostate believers promote especially those who distort the real truth involved in salvation and rebound and recovery; John 15:2-6.

Salvation
Rebound and Recovery
Giving of Self; 2Co 8:5 — they gave themselves first to the Lord
Eternal Security

What happened to believers in the OT who refused to follow our Lord’s commands of Tithing (taxes) and Grace-giving (reciprocation) for the spiritual truth that men of God give to every generation.

To rob from the Lord means that both bels and unbels refuse to pay their taxes and refuse to give double honor to those individuals who have been laboring in the spiritual realm just for you, as a believer.

1Ti 5:17, Let the elders who rule well be considered worthy of double honor, especially those who work hard at preaching and teaching.

1Ti 5:18, For the Scripture says, “You shall not muzzle the ox while he is threshing,” and “The laborer is worthy of his wages.”

The average believer has problems with their finances and are under a curse in the realm of giving and receiving, because they refuse to follow our Lord’s commands when it comes to giving and receiving.

Luk 6:38, “Give, and it will be given to you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, they will pour into your lap. For by your standard of measure it will be measured to you in return.”

He also said in Acts 20:35 that “It is more blessed to give than to receive.”

In the time of apostasy in Israel the citizens, both the believers and unbelievers, failed to pay their taxes and believers were not fulfilling their obligation in spiritual giving as well.

Tithing (a system of taxation for both believers and unbelievers, it has nothing to do with grace-giving.

These are actually a principle that the apostle Paul warned the believers in Ephesus about concerning divine discipline, not losing your salvation;
Eph 4:17-19.

One (suffering for blessing) glorifies the Lord as He releases escrow blessings to the winner believer while the other (suffering for divine discipline) is a manifestation of the “love of God as a Father.”

Eph 4:18, being darkened in their understanding” = their soul is filled with darkness and counterfeit in the light of blackness;

The believer is said to be “excluded from the life of God” = cut off from fellowship with members of the body of Christ.

“because of the ignorance that is in them “= the false doctrine that they have been receiving.

because of the hardness of their heart; = the hard-heart filled with apostasy.

Eph 4:19 and they, having become callous [scar tissue is built upon scar tissue and around the soul].

“have given themselves over to sensuality” = they are controlled by their emotions and feelings.

for the practice of every kind of impurity with greediness = resulting in the fulfillment of lust built upon lust.

We are in union with the Lord Jesus Christ; therefore, we also have been elevated above all angels, chosen and elect, fallen and condemned.

Our Lord’s victories in the Angelic Conflict gave us the absolute confidence that we can do all things through Christ Who strengthens us and has provided for us the “All Things” that we need to glorify our Lord.

John 14:27, “Peace He leaves with us; A peace that He gives us; not as the world gives, does He give to us but a peace that He says, “Let not your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.”

John 16:33, “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.”

Acts 9:31 it is a peace that believers enjoy, as they are being built up; and, going on in respecting the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, it (the early Church) continued to increase.

In Rom 12:18 it is a peace that If possible, so far as it depends on you, be at peace with all men.

Ultimately, it is a peace according to the Word of God” that is “alive and powerful” or even “alive and Cooking.”

It is also a peace that is revealed in two major chapters in the book of Hebrews, chapters one and two; Heb 1; Heb 2. God never said this to angels, but He said this to a member of the human race, our Lord Jesus Christ, who God has raised and elevated above all angelic creatures as a member of humanity.

Who are these ministering spirits or angels who are sent out to render service [serve, honor, and obey] for the sake of those [believers] who will inherit salvation [believers of the Church-age].

Just reading this section of the word of God is a phenomenal manifestation of the grace of God elevating members of the human race above angelic creatures.

We do acknowledge that there are also “guardian angels” who have been assigned to believers who will inherit salvation as well as receive divine blessings as a part of their inheritance or escrow blessings.

Angels have been assigned to protect and provide for members of the human race as they did for our Lord Who desires to glorify our Lord; Matt 4:11.

Matt 4:11, Then the devil left Him; and behold, angels came and began to minister to Him.

In Matt 13:49, Angels also will separate the wicked from the righteous as they get the “Millennial Reign” ready to be ruled by our Lord Jesus Christ for the next 1,000 years of “Divine Government.”

Matt 18:10, “See that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you, that their angels in heaven = these are elect angels who have been made holy by our Lord Jesus Christ.

It is also true that angels were used as “spiritual ubers” to transport members of the human race from a compartment in Hades all the way to mansions in Heaven; Luk 16:19-31.

Prin: Spiritual truth is revealed by spiritual convictions.

Prin: Spiritual truth is manifested by the “Divine Inspiration” of the Word of God followed by the Divine Recognition of grace and knowledge which is motivated by the love of God; 2Co 5:14.

2CO 5:14, For the love of Christ controls us, having concluded this, that one died for all, therefore all died;

Angels also function as “Angelic Conflict Transportation” as our Lord told us in Luk 16:22, “Now it came about that the poor man died and he was carried away by the angels to Abraham’s bosom;

1Co 4:9, For, I think, God has exhibited us apostles last of all, as men condemned to death because we have all become a spectacle or literally we are on a stage for both angels and to men.

We are also told that angels observe both winner believers and loser believers concerning the rules found in the early Church;
1Co 6:3.

1Co 6:3 Do you not know that we [winner believers of the Church-age and the winner believers in this life] that we live shall judge angels?

Heb 13:2, Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by this some have entertained angels without knowing it.

Eph 2:6; 1Pe 3:22, and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places, in Christ Jesus, who is at the right hand of God, having gone into heaven, after angels and authorities and powers had been subjected to Him.

The word descendant is in the singular which refers to our Lord Jesus Christ and then remember that what happened to Him will happen to us.

It is because of this doctrinal truth that we all need to be on the alert about concerning the only reason why we have been elevated is because of our union and our position in Christ; 2Co 5:17; Gal 6:15.

2Co 5:17, Therefore if any man is [notice the phrase “en Christou” which means that the believer is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.

The apostle Paul is using this passage to reveal the importance of the Cross and the result of what happens to believers concerning the new spiritual species also known as the new creature.
