Hymn #2

Preparing yourself for the study of God’s Word

Before we begin, if you are a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ (that is— you have trusted in Him for eternal life), it is important to prepare yourself to take-in God’s Word or participating in a Communion Service, so take a moment to name, cite or acknowledge your sins privately directly to God the Father. This will assure that you are in fellowship with God the Father and the Holy Spirit’s convicting ministry, also called the convincing ministry will then be able to teach you as the Holy Spirit is the real teacher and the pastor’s message is the vehicle the Holy Spirit uses to convince you what you are learning is true or not.

1 John 1:9, says—“If we confess [simply name, cite or acknowledge to God the Father] our sins [known sins], He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins [known sins] and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness [all unknown and forgotten sins];” NKJV (New King James Version); we call this REBOUND, read the full doctrine as to “why” we need to use 1 John 1:9 to grow spiritually. REBOUND

If you have never personally believed in the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior (that is, believed in Him for eternal life), the issue for you is not to name your sins to God; the issue for you is to believe by faith alone in Jesus Christ alone for eternal life and you will be saved the very second you believe in Him:

John 6:47 says: “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me [Jesus Christ] has everlasting life.” NKJV

Notice again what John 6:47 says, “he who believes in Me [Jesus Christ] has everlasting life.” It doesn’t say, “will have”; it says, “has.” Therefore, the very moment you believe Jesus Christ’s promise of everlasting life, you have it (it’s really just that simple), and it can never be lost or taken away from you (John 10:28-29). Furthermore, the gift of everlasting life (also called eternal life in scripture) is available to every human being; there are absolutely no exceptions.

John 3:14-18 says: “And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” NKJV

Let us now bow our hearts and take a moment to prepare for learning God’s Word, if there is any known sin in your life, this is the time to just cite it privately to God the Father with your thoughts directed towards Him. With your head bowed and your eyes closed, you have total privacy in your mind and soul:

NOTES
Unlike the bible study, these notes are not just for reading without watching the video. These notes are more designed to follow along during the sermon and to bring up the “hover pop-up scripture references” (some websites may require to left click the link, if that doesn’t work then look them up in your Bible) when the Pastor asks everyone to turn to that passage in their bibles.

Sermon: When our Lord died, He died two deaths, first, a spiritual death and then a physical death.

One of our Lord’s most powerful messages just before His deaths (deaths is in the plural of the verb nekros which can refer to spiritual death or natural death).

We are talking about two forms of death — (His natural death and His spiritual death) which are about to take place.

Never forget the importance of the original language because that is one of the most important principles that we need to be sure of the translation that we are about to come to.

“The day you eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil = then in that day you will muwth muwth or literally says mowt [dying spiritually] then it says that you will taamuwt [die physically].

Dying spiritually, you shall die physically.

You should make sure that you are being taught correctly which is by the addition of the phrase muwth muwth = which should be translated dying spiritually you will die physically.

1. Isagogics is the historical setting of the passage.

2. Categories is the systematic theology developed from combining Scripture with Scripture.

3. Exegesis is the grammatical and syntactical analysis of the passage from the original languages.

One of our main problems, we are being told by Moses that if we eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, that the day we eat from it we shall die.

A few problems emerge such as did Adam and the woman ishshah both die the day that ate from the tree of knowledge of good and evil?

They (Adam and Ishshah) did not die, that is they did not die physically because right after that they ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, they had what the Bible calls sexual relations.

Moses is said to be the author of the book of Genesis.

When our Lord died, He actually died two deaths, first, a spiritual death and this was followed by a physical death.

“Born Once, Die Twice, Born Twice, Die Once.”

If you are only “Born once” that means you die twice. Once at physical death and then secondly, at what is called Theologically the Second Death; Rev 2:11; 20:6; 20:14; 21:8.

The second death is only for those winner believers who have overcome all the personal attacks, the fears, the lies, the judging, the criticism personally.

If you asked the average believer today if our Lord died for them, the majority of believers would say that they really do not believe that our Lord died for them and their loved ones.

Something will happen to cause us to be on the alert especially among your friends, family, husband, wife, your cat, your dog, even the pastor -teacher, etc.

My personal answer is that the Lord will have the right questions that we need to have answered.

Answers = “We are in complete harmony to the Lord that we wild totally agree with the Lord and His judicial bench.”

Acts 16:31 And they said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you shall be saved, you and your household.”

If we were out to dinner and a check came and someone at the table says “I will pay all of the check for the table,” then why would someone else say “I will pay the Check” if someone already has.

The problem which is willful ignorance of doctrine which most believers are in bondage to because they do not think like the apostle Paul taught concerning this matter; as in Rom 12:3.

Rom 12:3 For through the grace given to me I say to every man among you not to think more highly of himself than he ought to think; but to think so as to have sound judgment, as God has allotted to each a measure of faith.

The fact that the apostle Paul warns us in Rom 12:3 where he says “think so as to have sound judgment, as God has allotted to each a measure of faith.”

One of the major problems that we all have to deal with is the problem of being ignorant and this is one of the main reasons that believers do become arrogant.

Notice how the apostle Paul describes the problem and then he also gives us the reasons that we need to be in touch with God.

1. In Eph 4:18, believers allow negative thoughts to influence their decision making because they are filled with the thoughts of darkness that they learned from the Cosmic System.

The last description for the loser believer because they allow certain thought to penetrate their soul and spirit and reject the doctrinal solutions that our Lord gave to mankind.

The apostle Paul was very careful when he was forced to communicate the divine solutions for the problems that we need to solve and that can only happen when believers have PVTD [positive volition towards doctrine].

These are believers that the apostle Paul is challenging so that they will make decisions based upon doctrine and not based upon the so-called religious orders of his day.

There are a lot of believers who are excluded from the life of God = our local assembly.

They have the same weakness from arrogance that Satan had in Isa 14:12-14, and that is the sin of independence and the rejection of that real truth.

It’s the real truth because God the Holy Spirit inspired it and He is God which means He cannot lie or even look upon sin; Hab 1:13.

Eph 4:18 (1) being darkened in their understanding,
(2) excluded from the life of God.

1. They come right out and say “No” to God, “I will not gather together with other believers and enjoy the life of God, I do what I want to do.

That does not change the fact that what they choose to do, there will be consequences for their decisions.

His name is Solomon, his mother Bathsheba, and his father was King David, who killed Bathsheba’s husband Uriah and then forced Bathsheba to marry him.

Ecc 8:11 Because the sentence against an evil deed is not executed quickly, therefore the hearts of the sons of men among them are given fully to do evil.

They are getting away with something or they believe that they got away with something only to find out that their God was being patient toward them.

Psa 18:35 “Thou hast also given me the shield of Thy salvation, And Thy right hand upholds me; And Thy gentleness makes me great.

When a believer understands grace and mercy that is a divine blessing called lovingkindness or long-suffering’s and that is one of the main doctrinal principles our Lord also taught.

We have what King David called lovingkindness or gentleness and patience or what the apostle Paul called the riches of His kindness and forbearance and patience; Rom 2:1-4.

Eph 4:18 we have some believers who are;

(1) being darkened in their understanding,

(2) They are excluded from the life of God.

1. They come right out and say “No” to God, “I will not gather together with other believers and enjoy the life of God, I will do what I want to do.

His name is Solomon, his mother was Bathsheba and his father was, of course, King David, who killed Bathsheba’s husband Uriah and then forced Bathsheba to marry him.

What was he waiting for?

He was waiting for them to rebound and to recover.

Because some believers are so arrogant that they truly think that they are like a rock, and that they are also like an Island.

Eph 4:18 — these individuals choose to do what their teacher (Satan) did.

The individual believer or the unbeliever can actually claim that they are students either of God or Satan by the way they live.

If they practice sin, then they are students of the one that they are practicing to live by which means that sin comes from the sin nature which every believer still has after the day of their salvation.

When a believer walks in darkness and not the light, then his walk now becomes his lifestyle.

There have been many times that I have taught that sometimes you can’t tell the difference between believers and unbelievers because they look and act alike.

We are back to a conclusion: Love!

2. They are also excluded from the life of God, which deals with fellowship and serving.

3. Because of the ignorance that is in them but they can also fill their soul with doctrine so that they can think with Christ.

4. I am giving this to you right now to prepare you for the hardness of their heart;
