Hymn #2

Preparing yourself for the study of God’s Word

Before we begin, if you are a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ (that is— you have trusted in Him for eternal life), it is important to prepare yourself to take-in God’s Word or participating in a Communion Service, so take a moment to name, cite or acknowledge your sins privately directly to God the Father. This will assure that you are in fellowship with God the Father and the Holy Spirit’s convicting ministry, also called the convincing ministry will then be able to teach you as the Holy Spirit is the real teacher and the pastor’s message is the vehicle the Holy Spirit uses to convince you what you are learning is true or not.

1 John 1:9, says—“If we confess [simply name, cite or acknowledge to God the Father] our sins [known sins], He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins [known sins] and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness [all unknown and forgotten sins];” NKJV (New King James Version); we call this REBOUND, read the full doctrine as to “why” we need to use 1 John 1:9 to grow spiritually. REBOUND

If you have never personally believed in the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior (that is, believed in Him for eternal life), the issue for you is not to name your sins to God; the issue for you is to believe by faith alone in Jesus Christ alone for eternal life and you will be saved the very second you believe in Him:

John 6:47 says: “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me [Jesus Christ] has everlasting life.” NKJV

Notice again what John 6:47 says, “he who believes in Me [Jesus Christ] has everlasting life.” It doesn’t say, “will have”; it says, “has.” Therefore, the very moment you believe Jesus Christ’s promise of everlasting life, you have it (it’s really just that simple), and it can never be lost or taken away from you (John 10:28-29). Furthermore, the gift of everlasting life (also called eternal life in scripture) is available to every human being; there are absolutely no exceptions.

John 3:14-18 says: “And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” NKJV

Let us now bow our hearts and take a moment to prepare for learning God’s Word, if there is any known sin in your life, this is the time to just cite it privately to God the Father with your thoughts directed towards Him. With your head bowed and your eyes closed, you have total privacy in your mind and soul:

NOTES
Unlike the bible study, these notes are not just for reading without watching the video. These notes are more designed to follow along during the sermon and to bring up the “hover pop-up scripture references” (some websites may require to left click the link, if that doesn’t work then look them up in your Bible) when the Pastor asks everyone to turn to that passage in their bibles.

Sermon: The Ninth Commandment. Who is our neighbor?
The danger of bearing a false witness.

Ninth Commandment in the Mosaic Law: Exo 20:16 “You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.”

There is a question that our Lord continually was asked in His earthly ministry regarding the question; “Who is MY neighbor?”

Matt 19:19, our Lord gave a brand new type of love which we are to operate in which is called impersonal and unconditional love which is mentioned in the last half of verse 19.

John 13:34 “A NEW COMMANDMENT I give to you, that you agape love one another, even as I have loved or agaped you, that you also love one another.”

John 13:35 “By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

This new type of love causes believers to love and care for, especially those if our own spiritual household; Gal 6:1-10.

1. Scripture: Gal 6:1-2, Brethren, even if a man is caught in any trespass, you who are spiritual, restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; each one looking to yourself, lest you too be tempted. Bear one another’s burdens, and thus fulfill the law of Christ.

The new type of challenge for the believer which is to fulfill your responsibility as a believer-priest and to fulfill your responsibility as a Royal Ambassador.

Matt 5:17 “Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish, but to fulfill.

Matt 5:18 “For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass away from the Law, until all is accomplished. — or completed or perfectly finished.

Luk 22:37 “For I tell you, that this which is written must be fulfilled in Me, ‘And He was numbered with transgressors’; for that which refers to Me has its fulfillment.”

John 19:30 When Jesus therefore had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And He bowed His head, and gave up His spirit.

If we do not violate the commandments but have stayed with the PPOG we will be able to say as Paul said in 2Ti 4:7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith;

2Ti 4:8 in the future there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day; and not only to me, but also to all who have loved His appearing.

Rom 8:3 For what the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh,

Rom 8:4 in order that the requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

Matt 19:19 “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” = All these establishment principles were honored and respected by TLJC who came not to abolish the Law but to fulfill the Law.

This man our Lord is speaking to is in bondage to earthy possessions, materialism, and the things of this world.

Notice what this man has to do to be saved because he is blinded to the truth of our Lord being John 14:6, the way, the truth, and the life as the Lord says.

Mat 19:17 “If you wish to enter into life, keep the commandments.”

1. Matt 19:17, keep or guard the commandments of the Law.

2. In Matt 19:21, he is told that if he wants to be made complete he has to go and sell his possessions.

3. Give to the poor

4. Come to the Lord

5. Follow the Lord

Etymologies = the phrase is “put one’s foot in one’s mouth,” or “every time he or she opens their mouth, they put their foot in it.”

“put foot in mouth” – also identified as the term “foot-and-mouth disease” which can also be used metaphorically to refer to someone who is especially prone to doing or saying foolish things.

Matt 19:22 But when the young man heard this statement, he went away grieved; for he was one who owned much property.

Hag 2:8 ‘The silver is Mine, and the gold is Mine,’ declares the Lord of hosts.

The Christian is not disobedient to God if he possesses money.

Money can be a very useful servant, but a very cruel and evil master.

Living Bible = Job 27:16-17, “The evil man may accumulate money like dust, with closets jammed full of clothing yes, he may order them made by his tailor, but the innocent shall wear that clothing and shall divide his silver among them.”

God has not empowered them or gave them the capacity to enjoy the blessings of their prosperity.

Verse 2 = for a foreigner enjoys their blessings or even your blessings and prosperity as well. This is vanity and a severe affliction.

God has set us up to prosper with His laws of prosperity which are founded upon the basic fact that He owns everything and that we own nothing.

God’s Word clearly tells us that we don’t “own” anything.

It is very important to grasp this concept that we don’t “own” anything and that God just lets us “use” things.

1Ti 6:7 For we have brought nothing into the world, so we cannot take anything out of it either.

1Co 4:7 For who regards you as superior? And what do you have that you did not receive? But if you did receive it, why do you boast as if you had not received it?

Deut 10:14 “Behold, to the Lord your God belong heaven and the highest heavens, the earth and all that is in it.

1Co 10:26 for the earth is the Lord’s, and all it contains.

All the things that we think we own belong to God.

We belong to God; 1Co 6:19-20.

Psa 24:1 The earth is the Lord’s, and all it contains, The world, and those who dwell in it.

World’s way = trust in material assets and to continually try to accumulate more of them —— the more of these assets we have accumulated, the harder it is for us to enter into God’s kingdom.

Close observation of people who have more money than they can spend shows they don’t find any lasting satisfaction from their wealth.

Ecc 5:10 He who loves money will not be satisfied with money, nor he who loves abundance {with its} income. This too is vanity.

Benjamin Franklin – “Money has never made a man happy yet, nor will it. There is nothing in its nature to produce happiness.

The more a man has, the more he wants. Instead of filling a vacuum, it makes one. If it satisfies one want, it doubles and triples that want in other ways.”

2Co 9:7 “Let each one (believer-priest) according to as you have determined by means of his own right lobe so give; not from distress of mind or compulsion of emotion (Never give because your emotionally aroused.), for the Lord loves true motivation in giving.”

1. Women concerning D.I. [divine institution] #2 marriage = main problems — the woman is to submit and respect to her husband so the apostle Paul writes in Col 3:18 Wives, be subject to or submit to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.

2. The husband is given a command and a warning not to become bitter; Col 3:19 Husbands, love your wives, and do not be embittered against them.

3. Children are given a warning to those who can understand spiritual phenomena, Col 3:20 Children, be obedient to your parents in all things, for this is well pleasing to the Lord.

4. The parents are also addressed in Col 3:21 Fathers, do not exasperate your children, that they may not lose heart.

5. Col 3:22 Slaves [employees], in all things obey those who are your masters [employers] on earth, not with external service, as those who merely please men, but with sincerity of heart, respecting the Lord.

6. #6 – refers to humanity or rebellion; Eph 6:10 From now on, start becoming strong by means of the Lord, and in the strength of His might.

What we are going to see is how the sins of the tongue can destroy any of those establishment principles through becoming a false witness and lying about those involved with fulfilling the Divine establishment principles.

“Bearing false witness, lying, gossip, maligning, sowing discord, etc. have destroyed many of those areas I mentioned so far.

Satan also uses the lies and deceptions to promote internationalism whereas God has ordained the principle of national entities for the protection of human freedom (Acts 17:26).

Every nation must have its own laws with its jurisdiction limited to that national entity only.

This means every nation should be indigenous just like every church or local assembly is to indigenous.

“Thou shalt not bear false witness” means “to answer as a false witness in a judicial function or “to give testimony under law.”

No nation can function without objectivity in law.

No nation can function without respect for the volition or the free will of its citizens.

No nation can function without respect for marriage.

No nation can function without respect for the family, the children and the parents.

No nation can function without respect for its citizens and nationalism.

The principle of objectivity in law demands that a person is innocent until proven guilty.

There are many individuals who have been labeled as guilty and not innocent before the true facts are even given.

Our subject now is that under Jewish Law, a person must be demonstrated guilty through proper laws of evidence furnished through accurate testimony in court not by hearsay.

Evidence is gathered through testimony, and that testimony must be proved.

Correct administration of law demands truthful evidence, and evidence demands truth upon which to make a judgment.

Literally, then, this commandment would read: “Thou shalt not answer (in a court of law) against your fellow citizens as a false witness.”

When Law is based on Biblical principles it does not encroach upon freedom; it preserves freedom.

Many of our laws today are an encroachment upon freedom and privacy rather than the protection of them, which again points out the intensity of the angelic conflict in our nation.

“You shall not bear false witness,” deals with Jewish Jurisprudence in the Mosaic law, this does not mean that this is the worse type of the sins of the tongue.

Interpretation is “Thou shalt not answer (in a court of law) against your fellow citizens as a false witness.”

Application is any of the sins of the tongue that inevitably result in destroying the individual even as far as going to court destroying his reputation and putting him in some kind of prison, whether natural or spiritual.

We are going to list some of the deceptions and lies that come from the kingdom of darkness to hinder believers from fulfilling the PPOG and his PSD by using the sins of the tongue to destroy others.

Psa 34:22 The Lord redeems the soul of His servants; And none of those who take refuge in Him will be condemned.

Because they believe lies that come from Rev 12:10, from the accuser of our brethren has been thrown down, who accuses them before our God day and night.

Even though Satan attacks, Rom 14:22 says The faith which you have, have as your own conviction before God. Happy is he who does not condemn himself in what he approves.
