Hymn #2

Preparing yourself for the study of God’s Word

Before we begin, if you are a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ (that is— you have trusted in Him for eternal life), it is important to prepare yourself to take-in God’s Word or participating in a Communion Service, so take a moment to name, cite or acknowledge your sins privately directly to God the Father. This will assure that you are in fellowship with God the Father and the Holy Spirit’s convicting ministry, also called the convincing ministry will then be able to teach you as the Holy Spirit is the real teacher and the pastor’s message is the vehicle the Holy Spirit uses to convince you what you are learning is true or not.

1 John 1:9 says—“If we confess [simply name, cite or acknowledge to God the Father] our sins [known sins], He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins [known sins] and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness [all unknown and forgotten sins];” NKJV (New King James Version); we call this REBOUND, read the full doctrine as to “why” we need to use 1 John 1:9 to grow spiritually. REBOUND

If you have never personally believed in the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior (that is, believed in Him for eternal life), the issue for you is not to name your sins to God; the issue for you is to believe by faith alone in Jesus Christ alone for eternal life and you will be saved the very second you believe in Him:

John 6:47 says: “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me [Jesus Christ] has everlasting life.” NKJV

Notice again what John 6:47 says, “he who believes in Me [Jesus Christ] has everlasting life.” It doesn’t say, “will have”; it says, “has.” Therefore, the very moment you believe Jesus Christ’s promise of everlasting life, you have it (it’s really just that simple), and it can never be lost or taken away from you (John 10:28-29). Furthermore, the gift of everlasting life (also called eternal life in scripture) is available to every human being; there are absolutely no exceptions.

John 3:14-18 says: “And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” NKJV

Let us now bow our hearts and take a moment to prepare for learning God’s Word, if there is any known sin in your life, this is the time to just cite it privately to God the Father with your thoughts directed towards Him. With your head bowed and your eyes closed, you have total privacy in your mind and soul:

NOTES
Unlike the bible study, these notes are not just for reading without watching the video. These notes are more designed to follow along during the sermon and to bring up the “hover pop-up scripture references” (some websites may require to left click the link, if that doesn’t work then look them up in your Bible) when the Pastor asks everyone to turn to that passage in their bibles.

Sermon: Dispensation of the Mosaic Law. The First Commandment. Part 3.

We have now begun a study on the first commandment: Exodus 20:3.

The first commandment is where true liberty begins in Exo 20:3 “You shall have no other gods before Me.

By way of summary, this commandment recognizes human volition, which is the basis for maintaining freedom — by knowledge of the truth.

Numerology = the secret meanings of numbers to reveal biblical principles I gave you the number 12 as a guideline to what God The Holy Spirit would have us understand.

We have been given, as believer-priests in the Church Age, the ministry of the Holy Spirit to fulfill the law.

When I say the Law is fulfilled, I do not mean keeping six commandments out of the ten, or keeping any of the ten; I am talking about the ministry of the Holy Spirit in providing freedom!

The doctrine of idolatry.

1. The worship of a physical object or objects as God.

2. Inordinate attachment or extreme devotion to something.

They are related to the fact that Israel was appointed as a client nation to God, Exo 19:6-4.

Idolatry was also specifically forbidden in Exo 20:23, Deut 5:7, 6:14, 7:16, 8:19.

Deut 5:7 ‘You shall have no other gods before Me.

Deut 6:14 “You shall not follow other gods, any of the gods of the peoples who surround you,

Deut 7:16 “And you shall consume all the peoples whom the Lord your God will deliver to you; your eye shall not pity them, neither shall you serve their gods, for that would be a snare to you.

Deut 8:19 “And it shall come about if you ever forget the Lord your God, and go after other gods and serve them and worship them, I testify against you today that you shall surely perish.

Idolatry is also analogous to spiritual adultery.

Idolatry is an attack on category one love or love for God, Jer 3:8-10; Eze 16:23-43, 23:24 30; Rev 17:1-5.

The scripture teaches that idolatry begins in the mind and proceeds to overt practice, Judg 2:10-13; Eze 14:7.

Baal-berith = covenant Baal, or the lord and the guardian of the covenants.

2. Baal berith was worshipped in Judg 8:33, 9:46.
Baal-gad = the lord of good luck, or the Baal of fortune, worshipped in Isa 65:11.

Isa 65:11 “But you who forsake the Lord, Who forget My holy mountain, Who set a table for Fortune, And who fill cups with mixed wine for Destiny

3. Baal-hamon = possessor of abundance.

SOL 8:11 “Solomon had a vineyard at Baal hamon; He entrusted the vineyard to caretakers; Each one was to bring a thousand shekels of silver for its fruit.

Baal Hermon = this was the mountain god and the place that was the center of all Baal worship. (Worshipped in Judg 3:3, 1Ch 5:23,
Deut 3:9.)

Baal peor = this was the god of prostitution and sex, worshipped in Num 25:1-3.

Baal Zebub = the fly god, or the god of counterfeit. (Worshipped in 2Ki 1:2-3, 6:16.) = the god of deception

The scripture teaches that idolatry begins in the mind and proceeds to overt practice.

Shiggaon in the Hebrew or the mental breakdowns where believers have no spiritual strength and no doctrine resident in their soul and so they immediately accept a substitute, in most cases a cheap substitute = sublimation.

Judg 2:12 They forsook the Lord, the God of their fathers, who had brought them out of the land of Egypt, And followed other gods from among the gods of the peoples who were around them, and bowed themselves down to them; thus they provoked the Lord to anger.

Judg 2:13 So they forsook the Lord and served Baal (the ba’al’s) and the Ashtaroth.

Eze 14:7 “For anyone of the house of Israel or of the immigrants who stay in Israel who separates himself from me, sets up his idols in his heart,

The worship of a physical object or objects as God

2. Inordinate attachment or extreme devotion to something.

The bronze serpent was the means which God used to reveal His Son, TLJC, to the congregation of Israel.

It was the means to bring them to an expected end,….which was a personal relationship with Jehovah Elohim, the Lord God.

John 3:14 “And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up.”

John 12:32 “And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to Myself.”

Heb 12:2 “Looking unto Jesus the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

They began to worship the means that God used to reveal himself rather than God Himself = a form of idolatry.

The children of Israel made an idol out of that which God used to deliver them and heal them = Neshushtan.
