Preparing yourself for the study of God’s Word
Before we begin, if you are a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ (that is— you have trusted in Him for eternal life), it is important to prepare yourself to take-in God’s Word so take a moment to name, cite or acknowledge your sins privately directly to God the Father. This will assure that you are in fellowship with God the Father and the Holy Spirit’s convicting ministry, also called the convincing ministry will then be able to teach you as the Holy Spirit is the real teacher and the pastor’s message is the vehicle the Holy Spirit uses to convince you what you are learning is true or not.
1 John 1:9 says—“If we confess [simply name, cite or acknowledge to God the Father] our sins [known sins], He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins [known sins] and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness [all unknown and forgotten sins].” NKJV (New King James Version)
If you have never personally believed in the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior (that is, believed in Him for eternal life), the issue for you is not to name your sins to God; the issue for you is to believe by faith alone in Jesus Christ alone for eternal life and you will be saved the very second you believe in Him:
John 6:47 says: “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me [Jesus Christ] has everlasting life.” NKJV
Notice again what John 6:47 says, “he who believes in Me [Jesus Christ] has everlasting life.” It doesn’t say, “will have”; it says, “has.” Therefore, the very moment you believe Jesus Christ’s promise of everlasting life, you have it (it’s really just that simple), and it can never be lost or taken away from you (John 10:28-29). Furthermore, the gift of everlasting life (also called eternal life in scripture) is available to every human being; there are absolutely no exceptions.
John 3:14-18 says: “And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” NKJV

Let us now bow our hearts and take a moment to prepare for learning God’s Word, if there is any known sin in your life, this is the time to just cite it privately to God the Father with your thoughts directed towards Him. The Doctrine of Justification.
Point 1. Introduction; Rom 4:13-25.
Point 2. The Etymology of the word which is the origin and historical development of a word and how it was originally used in its earliest known use.
Point 3. The definition of “dikaiosune Theou” translated the “righteousness of God” which reveals God’s character and nature.
Understanding this doctrine of justification means that you understand that if you sin, you haven’t changed your status with God is still here.
TLJC makes intercession for us, He takes care of us; 1Jo 2:1-2.
Until perfect righteousness is imputed there can be no justification.
God doesn’t think much of your personality or self-righteousness nor of mine.
God loves His perfect righteousness with an eternal love.
1Co 13:6 Impersonal love does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth;
Psa 11:7 For the Lord is righteous; He loves righteousness;
Psa 33:5 He loves righteousness and justice; The earth is full of the lovingkindness of the Lord.
Psa 37:28 For the Lord loves justice, And does not forsake His godly ones; They are preserved forever;
Psa 45:7 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated wickedness;
Heb 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.
Jam 2:21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he offered up Isaac his son on the altar?
Jam 2:24 You see that a man is justified by works, and not by faith alone.
Rom 3:28 For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from the works of the Law.
Gal 2:16 nevertheless knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the Law but through faith in Christ Jesus, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we may be justified by faith in Christ, and not by the works of the Law; since by the works of the Law shall no flesh be justified
Gal 3:11 Now that no one is justified by the Law before God is evident; for, ” The righteous man shall live by faith. ”
Matt 12:30 “He who is not with Me is against Me; and he who does not gather with Me scatters.
Mar 9:40 “For he who is not against us is for us.
Prov 26:4 Do not answer a fool according to his folly, Lest you also be like him.
Prov 26:5 Answer a fool as his folly deserves, Lest he be wise in his own eyes.
We should ask why is it so important to have so many passages about God loving justice and righteousness?
1. Justification means that the one being justified has the possession of divine perfect righteousness which was imputed at salvation.
2. Justification frees the justice of God to pronounce the fact we have His perfect righteousness.
3. Justification is another way of describing salvation relationship with the integrity of God.
4. Forgiveness is subtraction, justification is addition by grace.
Forgiveness subtracts sin, justification adds the perfect righteousness of God.
5. Justification is the completion of the believer’s salvation adjustment to the justice of God.
6. Understanding this doctrine of justification means that you understand that if you sin, you haven’t changed your status with God.
The justice of God can only judge sin with divine discipline but if we rebound first, the justice of God can only forgive us.
1Jo 1:9 “If we acknowledge [name and cite] our sins, He is faithful and just, with the result that He forgives us our sins [our known sins] and purifies us from all unrighteousness [unknown sins].”
Point 4. Justification is related to salvation adjustment to the justice of God in Rom 3:28; Rom 5:1; Gal 3:24.
Gal 3:24 Therefore the Law has become our tutor to lead us to Christ, that we may be justified by faith.
Point 5. Justification is related to the principle of grace, Rom 3:24; Tit 3:7.
Tit 3:7 that being justified by His grace we might be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
When justice functions in the field of blessing, it is always grace.
This leads us to Point 6. Justification is not related to human works, Rom 3:20, 28; Gal 2:16.
Gal 2:16 nevertheless knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the Law but through faith in Christ Jesus, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we may be justified by faith in Christ, and not by the works of the Law; since by the works of the Law shall no flesh be justified.
Point 7. Mechanics of Justification, simply believe, Gen 15:6; Rom 3:22.
Gen 15:6 Then he believed in the Lord; and He reckoned it to him as righteousness.
From these passages, it is obvious that the mechanics of justification involves on the part of man a non meritorious function of simply believing.
Point 8. The judgment of sin frees the justice of God for the blessing of justification.
By judging sin, the justice of God is free to bless man with salvation.
Salvation in the Bible means justification, because it reveals the Source, the mechanics and grace.
That Christ was “raised up from the dead because of our justification.” Rom 4:25
Justification is the word that emphasizes the total integrity of God. “Blood” is the word that emphasizes the total work of Christ.
In Rom 5:9, blood refers to redemption, propitiation, and reconciliation as parts of salvation.
The justice of God is the second half of the integrity of God, the functioning half.
Perfect righteousness, the other half, is the principle part of divine essence.
We have one half of the integrity of God in the imputation of perfect righteousness. But getting the other half (by reaching maturity) is the hard part.
Our first contact with the essence of God is with His justice, not His love.
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.”
Yet even though His love for the Son was total and maximum, there was something more important than love: the justice of God.
And even in the human realm, great lovers always have integrity behind their love.
(a) God the Father did the judging.
(b) God the Son received the judgment.
(c) God the Holy Spirit reveals the judgment.
Included in salvation are redemption, reconciliation, and propitiation, which are partial words summarizing the full words justification and blood of Christ.
