Preparing yourself for the study of God’s Word
Before we begin, if you are a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ (that is— you have trusted in Him for eternal life), it is important to prepare yourself to take-in God’s Word so take a moment to name, cite or acknowledge your sins privately directly to God the Father. This will assure that you are in fellowship with God the Father and the Holy Spirit’s convicting ministry, also called the convincing ministry will then be able to teach you as the Holy Spirit is the real teacher and the pastor’s message is the vehicle the Holy Spirit uses to convince you what you are learning is true or not.
1 John 1:9 says—“If we confess [simply name, cite or acknowledge to God the Father] our sins [known sins], He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins [known sins] and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness [all unknown and forgotten sins].” NKJV (New King James Version)
If you have never personally believed in the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior (that is, believed in Him for eternal life), the issue for you is not to name your sins to God; the issue for you is to believe by faith alone in Jesus Christ alone for eternal life and you will be saved the very second you believe in Him:
John 6:47 says: “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me [Jesus Christ] has everlasting life.” NKJV
Notice again what John 6:47 says, “he who believes in Me [Jesus Christ] has everlasting life.” It doesn’t say, “will have”; it says, “has.” Therefore, the very moment you believe Jesus Christ’s promise of everlasting life, you have it (it’s really just that simple), and it can never be lost or taken away from you (John 10:28-29). Furthermore, the gift of everlasting life (also called eternal life in scripture) is available to every human being; there are absolutely no exceptions.
John 3:14-18 says: “And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” NKJV

Let us now bow our hearts and take a moment to prepare for learning God’s Word, if there is any known sin in your life, this is the time to just cite it privately to God the Father with your thoughts directed towards Him. With your head bowed and your eyes closed, you have total privacy in your mind and soul:

NOTES
Unlike the bible study, these notes are not just for reading without watching the video. These notes are more designed to follow along during the sermon and to bring up the “hover pop-up scripture references” (some websites may require to left click the link) when the Pastor asks everyone to turn to that passage in their bibles or as a memory jogger for review after you’ve viewed the video Sermon.
The Doctrine of the Pivot; Part 39.
Know your enemy.
Know your enemy.
We need to be aware of who our true enemy is and the power that we really struggle against which is not human power but demonic power.
This demonic power is really manifested by the battle that goes on in the believer’s soul.
Psa 23:3 “He restores my soul;”
The greatest battles in history are not overt battlefields where men die, the greatest battlefield is what takes place in your soul.
1Co 16:13 Be on the alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.
1Pe 5:8 Be of sound mind, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls about like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.
“All warfare is based on deception. Therefore, when capable, feign incapacity, when active, fake inactivity. When near, make it appear that you are far away, when far away, that you are near.”
“Offer the enemy a bait to lure him; feign disorder and strike him. When he concentrates, prepare against him; when he is strong, avoid him.”
“Anger his general and confuse him. Pretend inferiority and encourage his arrogance. Keep him under a strain and wear him down.
When he is united divide him.”
“Attack where he is unprepared, sally out [erupt or bust out] when he does not expect you. These are the strategist’s keys to victory.”|
1Jo 5:19 We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.
Rev 12:9 Satan deceives the whole world;
Matt 10:16 “Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves; therefore, be shrewd as serpents, and innocent as doves.”
Our warfare in the spiritual life is neither physical nor fleshly; it is spiritual and therefore in the mentality of our soul! ochuromaton = arguments and reasoning’s one uses to defend themselves, that’s why it’s translated fortresses and therefore a perfect description of not leaning on human viewpoint.
No matter how you slice it, the factor that motivates, empowers and strengthens a believer is his mental attitude or thought pattern!
The believer with doctrine in the right lobe has divine viewpoint on the launching pad ready for application in order to assault any defense system in this intensified stage of the angelic conflict.
He knows and applies the doctrine of divine essence and the principles of Christology which points to who and what God is and the role of TLJC in human history; every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, or every obstacle of arrogance against the knowledge of God is the Greek word epairo which means to elevate, to assault, and to attack.
Any thoughts that you have which are not the thoughts of our Lord Jesus Christ must be taken prisoner or captive and pushed aside.
The reason why you are to take the thoughts captive or as a prisoner is simply because you are not to share these thoughts with others or allow these thoughts the freedom to go elsewhere.
Even if the thoughts are sick thoughts…..that’s not a problem when you understand that the Bible says what we are like when we do not have God’s thoughts.
Isa 1:5-6, The whole head is sick, And the whole heart is faint. From the sole of the foot even to the head There is nothing sound in it,
2Co 10:5 that we are destroying or assaulting and demolishing with Bible doctrine] speculations [cosmic thinking or human viewpoint thinking]
Logismos which means thoughts and reasons, it can also mean excuses.
People use thoughts to justify their ignorance, their wrong doings, and speech to conceal their thoughts.
You can only capture erroneous thinking and supersede it with correct thinking by metabolizing Bible doctrine.
In the natural realm our true enemy today is the radical believers of Islam and the Muslim religion, and that is true in the natural realm.
One of the signs that a nation is declining is the fact that God will allow wicked rulers to rule over the people, Neh 9:37, Psa 106:41,
Prov 29:2.
Neh 9:36-37, “Behold, we are slaves today, And as to the land which Thou didst give to our fathers to eat of its fruit and its bounty, Behold, we are slaves on it. And its abundant produce is for the kings Whom Thou hast set over us because of our sins; They also rule over our bodies And over our cattle as they please, So we are in great distress.
Psa 106:40-41 we read that because the children of Israel did not have a remnant of mature believers, no pivot, we read “Therefore the anger of the Lord was kindled against His people, And He abhorred His inheritance. Then He gave them into the hand of the nations; And those who hated them ruled over them.
Prov 29:2 When the righteous increase, the people rejoice, But when a wicked man rules, people groan.
The real issue is not what is going on in our nation today, the real issue is what is God’s message in allowing what’s happening to
happen.
All that information does is to really just define, as it were, the results of the disease, whereas we need to identify what the real disease or problem is so that we can come up with the divine solution.
Hag 1:7 Thus says the Lord of hosts, “Consider your ways!
God is allowing things to be shaken so that the things that are NOT shakable will remain, like His Word or Bible doctrine, integrity, character, love!
Psa 127:1 Unless the Lord builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; Unless the Lord guards the city, The watchman keeps awake in vain.
The worst thing that the enemy can do to any of God’s people is to cause them to be absent from the body and to be face to face with the Lord, 2Co 5:8.
There’s a difference between divine discipline as a family affair and us reaping what we sow
Gen 50:20 “And as for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good in order to bring about this present result, to preserve many people alive.
Deut 23:5 “But the Lord your God can turn a curse into a blessing for you because the Lord your God loves you.”
Psa 76:10 For the wrath of man shall even praise Thee.
Rom 8:28 And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.
What is missing in a lot of the prophecies found in the book of Revelation which may point to America in these last days is the power that is behind these prophecies which is not human power but demonic power.
We cannot get so occupied with the human weapons and vessels that are being used by Satan and the kingdom of darkness that it takes our eyes off the true enemy.
In Rev 12:9, it is a time when Satan and all his angels are kicked out of heaven forever.
In Rev 12:12, it is called the devil’s “short time” period.
Satan will perform signs and wonders and miracles to deceive those who are alive on the earth at that time.
The word or image is the Greek noun eikon which means an idol, a statue, a representation, here we go again with the principle of counterfeiting.
The Antichrist will forbid and abolish all religious worship, declaring himself God and requiring worship of himself, with suppression, persecution, and even death to all who won’t bow to him.
When the statue or idol which is set up in the Jewish temple comes alive then this Abomination of Desolation introduces the Great Tribulation period, the second three and a half years of the Antichrist’s reign.
When you see it standing there, you’ll know the Tribulation has begun.
But when you see come alive, you’ll know that the worse time in all of human history is about to begin.
Jesus said you’d see it “standing in the holy place,” Matt 24:15.
Daniel 11:31 said it is the anti-Christ “ that places there the Abomination of Desolation” inside of the Jewish temple, Dan 11:35.
Daniel 12:11 says that “the Abomination of Desolation is “SET UP.” He places it, he sets it up and it stands there, so it’s some kind of standing object.
In the 13th chapter of Revelation we find out that it’s an image of the Antichrist himself.
In Rev 13:15, note again that the anti-Christ was granted power to give breath to the Image of the Beast, that the Image of the Beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the Image of the Beast to be killed.
Why does it say that the image might even speak?
It says it because it was just an idol or a statue that had now come alive!
Gen 2:7 Then the Lord God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.
Then what did TLJC do?
He breathed into his nostrils the breath of life.
How does the statue or the idol called the abomination of desolation come alive?
The Image of the Beast will be able to not only speak, but also kill—or cause individuals to be killed somehow.
It will be the ultimate in idolatry: Man worshiping an abominable demon-possessed idol that desolates the world.
The key to understanding this is the fact that the image is related to demons and therefore a sign of demonic power.
The image of the beast refers to the statue that the anti-Christ sets up.
In both biblical and rabbinic Hebrew, the word “abomination” is a familiar term for an idol.
In Daniel 11:31“>Dan 11:31, Daniel writes that it refers to a literal statue or idol that the anti-Christ sets up in the temple during the tribulation period.
In Ezr 9:1-4 it is referred to as a “motionless abomination” or an “appalling abomination”.
In the Gospel of Matthew, TLJC is presented as quoting Daniel and again please notice that this statue known as the abomination of desolation is said to be standing, Matt 24:15.
Matt 24:15 “Therefore when you see the abomination of desolation which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand),
