Scripture References, Word & Phrase descriptions: the “Logos Reftagger” scripture links are hover pop-up active, meaning the scripture reference will just pop-up if you hover your cursor over it (don’t click on the link, just hover your cursor over it), when finished reading, hover your cursor off the scripture reference link. If the Reftagger pop-up doesn’t show all the verses, left click on the “More” button in the Reftagger pop-up window and it will take you to the online bible. If RefTagger pop-ups don’t work on your computer, that’s OK, try left clicking the link if it’s highlighted which should open a window with all the verses at the Biblia.com website; or if that doesn’t work, you can always use your Bible to look up the verses. Word or Phrase definition links may not have a website that opens. If you are running PCMatic, the pop-ups may not work; if that’s the case, email PC Matic Support to see if they can fix that problem for you.

Prepare yourself for learning the Word of God!

Before we begin, if you are a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ (that is; you have believed [trusted] in Him for His promised gift of eternal life), it is important to prepare yourself to learn God's Word so take a moment to name, cite or acknowledge (confess) your sins privately to God (i.e.; with your thoughts directed only to God the Father).

1 John 1:9 says: "If we confess our sins, He (God) is faithful and just to forgive us our sins (known sins) and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness [unknown or forgotten sins]." NKJV (New King James Version) [italics added]; we call this REBOUND, read the full doctrine as to “why” we need to use 1 John 1:9 to grow spiritually. REBOUND

If you have never personally believed in the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior (that is, believed in Him for eternal life), the issue for you is not to name your sins; the issue for you is to have faith alone in Jesus Christ alone for eternal life: John 3:16, 5:24, 6:47, 20:30, 31.

John 6:47 says: "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me (Jesus Christ) has everlasting life." NKJV [italics added]

Notice again what Jesus said in John 6:47: "…he who believes in Me (Jesus Christ) has everlasting life." It doesn't say, "will have"; it says, "has." Therefore, the very moment you believe in Jesus Christ for His promise of everlasting life, you have it (it's really just that simple; nothing more and nothing less), and it can never be taken away from you (John 10:28-29). Furthermore, the gift (Ephesians 2:8c) of everlasting life (also called eternal life in scripture) is available to every human being; there are absolutely no exceptions.

John 3:14-15, 16, 17, 18, says: "14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 15 that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. 18 He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." NKJV

Let us now bow our hearts and take a moment to prepare for worship and learning God's Word. If there is any known sin in your life, this is the time to just cite it privately to God the Father with your thoughts directed towards Him. With your head bowed and your eyes closed, you have total privacy in your mind and soul:

Study to show yourself approved to God!

STUDY TITLE:

Dispensation of the Mosaic Law. Requirement from the Manna

As we continue with our study of Moses and the beginning of Israel as the first client nation under the new dispensation, the dispensation of the Law, we need to recognize a few more principles concerning the Jews and manna from heaven known as Angel’s food or the food of angels.

Exo 16:15-18, When the sons of Israel saw it, they said to one another, “What is it?” For they did not know what it was. And Moses said to them, “It is the bread which the Lord has given you to eat. This is what the Lord has commanded, ‘Gather of it every man as much as he should eat; you shall take an omer apiece according to the number of persons each of you has in his tent.'” And the sons of Israel did so, and some gathered much and some little. When they measured it with an omer, he who had gathered much had no excess, and he who had gathered little had no lack; every man gathered as much as he should eat.

The application is two-fold, one, some doctrine (such as rebound) is used every day. Some doctrine is preserved in the conscience for future use. In fact, it is suffering that offers the opportunity to use doctrine in the soul. Some doctrine is to give spiritual strength for the future. Every doctrine you learn is not necessarily for you to apply to your life. It will make you strong spiritually whether you thing it applies to your personal life or not. All doctrine applies because it increases our spiritual strength. The doctrine may not be presently applicable to any situation in your life but it will make you strong spiritually.

Now, also notice that everyone had the opportunity to get as much manna as they desired. Those who gathered much manna did not have any more than those who gathered little portions, everyone gathered according to their own capacity.

Again notice our passage; Exo 16:16, “This is what the Lord has commanded, ‘Gather of it every man as much as he should eat; you shall take an omer apiece according to the number of persons each of you has in his tent.'” And the sons of Israel did so, and some gathered much and some little. When they measured it with an omer, he who had gathered much had no excess, and he who had gathered little had no lack; every man gathered as much as he should eat.

In other words, if you wanted to have a lot of manna you can or if you want a little manna you are able. People learn Bible doctrine, on the basis of their capacity. No two people have the same capacity. Capacity comes from making Bible doctrine # 1 priority in your life. The point is that manna spoiled but it didn’t spoil. It would spoil for five days but not on the sixth. What’s the application to the Christian life?

There are four basic principles that need to be noted when it comes to capacity, so let’s get them down.

1. Capacity for life is related to the circumstances of life. Phil 4:11 12, “Not that I speak with reference to need, for I have come to learn that in whatever circumstances I am to be content [capacity for life]. I know both how to live in humility and I know how to live in prosperity, in all places and in all circumstances, I have been taught the secret both how to be well fed and to be hungry, both how to prosper and to be in poverty.”

2. Capacity is related to status quo in life or lifestyle, Heb 13:5-6.
Heb 13:5-6, “Let your lifestyle be free from the love of money; keep on being content with what you possess, for He Himself has said, `I will not abandon you, neither will I ever forsake you,’ so that being confident we say, `The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid of what man can do to me.'”

3. Capacity is also related to the supergrace life, 2Co 9:8.
2Co 9:8, “And God has the ability to cause all grace to superabound toward you, in order that always having a capacity for life in all things you may superabound with reference to the production of divine good.”

4. Capacity is related to prosperity and blessing; 1Ti 6:6, “But godliness associated with capacity for life keeps on being a great means of prosperity.”

So, what is the application to the Christian life? It reveals the importance of learning mechanics and obeying divine commands and doing the right thing in a right way…doing things the way God says to do them. This is analogous to a very important principle in regard to you…The believer must be flexible.

This means that what is right to do on one occasion may be wrong to do on another. You have to have a personal relationship with the word of God and TLJC and follow His direction. Mechanics and divine commands are very important in the Christian way of life.

I want you to think about this. This is another gem or another treasure concerning manna. Manna was so important of a lesson that it was preserved indefinitely in the ark of the covenant, Exo 16:33; Heb 9:4.

Look at Exo 16:33, And Moses said to Aaron, “Take a jar and put an omerful [a little bit over 5 pints- 5 = grace – over 5 = supergrace] of manna in it, and place it before the Lord, to be kept throughout your generations.” An omerful is a little bit over 5 pints – 5 = grace – over 5 = supergrace.

Exo 16:34-35, As the Lord commanded Moses, so Aaron placed it before the Testimony, to be kept. And the sons of Israel ate the manna forty years, until they came to an inhabited land; they ate the manna until they came to the border of the land of Canaan.

Now, get the shadow here or the ritual to reveal the reality. The eating of the manna until they came to Canaan, the promise land, is a type of the believer in the Church-age, eating the written word until they get to heaven and are face to face with the Lord and then dine with the Living Word, TLJC.

In Heb 9:1, Now even the first covenant had regulations of divine worship and the earthly sanctuary.

Notice, there were regulations of divine worship and the earthly sanctuary —- right thing and the right way.

The right thing = earthly sanctuary. The right way = divine regulations.

Then in Heb 9:2-4 goes on to say, “For there was a tabernacle prepared, the outer one, in which were the lampstand and the table and the sacred bread; this is called the holy place. And behind the second veil, there was a tabernacle which is called the Holy of Holies, having a golden altar of incense and the ark of the covenant covered on all sides with gold, in which was a golden jar holding the manna, and

Aaron’s rod which budded, and the tables of the covenant.

The saving of the manna stresses the importance of retaining Bible doctrine in the soul. Manna from heaven or the spiritual food that God gives is really described for us in John 6:27-35, “Do not work for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man shall give to you, for on Him the Father, even God, has set His seal.” They said therefore to Him, “What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?” Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He has sent.”

They said therefore to Him, “What then do You do for a sign, that we may see, and believe You? What work do You perform? “Our fathers ate the manna in the wilderness; as it is written, He gave them bread out of heaven to eat.” Jesus therefore said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, it is not Moses who has given you the bread out of heaven, but it is My Father who gives you the true bread out of heaven. For the bread of God is that which comes down out of heaven, and gives life to the world.” They said therefore to Him, “Lord, evermore give us this bread.” Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; he who comes to Me shall not hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.”

Doctrine is only of value in the soul! It’s only residual doctrine which is valuable to the child of God. And for doctrine to be preserved in the soul the degree of learning must exceed the rate of forgetting.

What you do today will not make any difference 100 years from now but the PMA of BD will make the difference. It will determine your eternal destiny.

How do we know that?

Well look at John 12:47-48, “And if anyone hears My sayings, and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world. He who rejects Me, and does not receive My sayings, has one who judges him; the word I spoke is what will judge him at the last day.”
