Prepare yourself for learning the Word of God!

Before we begin, if you are a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ (that is; you have believed [trusted] in Him for His promised gift of eternal life), it is important to prepare yourself to learn God's Word so take a moment to name, cite or acknowledge (confess) your sins privately to God (i.e.; with your thoughts directed only to God the Father).

1 John 1:9 says: "If we confess our sins, He (God) is faithful and just to forgive us our sins (known sins) and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness [unknown or forgotten sins]." NKJV (New King James Version) [italics added]; we call this REBOUND, read the full doctrine as to “why” we need to use 1 John 1:9 to grow spiritually. REBOUND

If you have never personally believed in the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior (that is, believed in Him for eternal life), the issue for you is not to name your sins; the issue for you is to have faith alone in Jesus Christ alone for eternal life: John 3:16, 5:24, 6:47, 20:30, 31.

John 6:47 says: "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me (Jesus Christ) has everlasting life." NKJV [italics added]

Notice again what Jesus said in John 6:47: "…he who believes in Me (Jesus Christ) has everlasting life." It doesn't say, "will have"; it says, "has." Therefore, the very moment you believe in Jesus Christ for His promise of everlasting life, you have it (it's really just that simple; nothing more and nothing less), and it can never be taken away from you (John 10:28-29). Furthermore, the gift (Ephesians 2:8c) of everlasting life (also called eternal life in scripture) is available to every human being; there are absolutely no exceptions.

John 3:14-15, 16, 17, 18, says: "14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 15 that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. 18 He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." NKJV

Let us now bow our hearts and take a moment to prepare for worship and learning God's Word. If there is any known sin in your life, this is the time to just cite it privately to God the Father with your thoughts directed towards Him. With your head bowed and your eyes closed, you have total privacy in your mind and soul:

Study to show yourself approved to God!

Another Palm Sunday to Consider.

As we noted this past year, the Bible predicted in Dan 9:25 that in 173,880 days, the Lord Jesus Christ would come to Jerusalem and present Himself as the Messiah. And after Dan 9:25 was written, 173,880 days later, on the same exact day, the Lord sat upon a donkey and rode into Jerusalem and presented Himself as the Messiah. 483 years from this prophecy, exactly 173,880 days later on the tenth day of Nisan, which would be April 6, A.D. 32 on Palm Sunday in fulfillment of this prophecy, Jesus Christ entered Jerusalem and presented Himself as “the Messiah. This morning many people will be going home with palm branches, a sign of negative volition toward doctrine.

John 12:12-13, On the next day the great multitude who had come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem, took the branches of the palm trees, and went out to meet Him, and {began} to cry out, “Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord, even the King of Israel.”

That’s a very important statement which describes to us what Palm Sunday really represents, Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord, even the “King of Israel”.

Notice the phrase “the King of Israel” not the Savior of the world. And that’s because the Jews did not want a Savior, they wanted a king, and they didn’t want the Cross, they wanted the crown.

John 12:14-16, And Jesus, finding a young donkey, sat on it; as it is written, “Fear not, daughter of Zion; behold, your King is coming, seated on a donkey’s colt.” These things His disciples did not understand at the first;

And there’s the key to something that is happening this morning, no one understood what was going on! Except for two individuals, as we will note. And of course that’s typical, people don’t understand unless they have some doctrine.

John 12:16-18, These things His disciples did not understand at the first; but when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things were written of Him, and that they had done these things to Him. And so the multitude who were with Him when He called Lazarus out of the tomb, and raised him from the dead, were bearing Him witness. For this cause also the multitude went and met Him, because they heard that He had performed this sign. The Pharisees therefore said to one another, “You see that you are not doing any good; look, the world has gone after Him.”

There’s a typical Pharisaical conversation. They’re talking to each other pointing the finger saying, You see that you are not doing any good not we are not doing any good.

Now, let’s begin in verse 12. John 12:12, On the next day…This is Sunday. The Jewish weekend begins Friday night. Friday night at sundown is the Sabbath. And the Jewish Sabbath goes from the sundown from Friday night to the sundown on Saturday night. Sunday to the Jew was the first day of the week and the first working day after the Sabbath. Now we have two huge crowds which are about to meet. We have a crowd coming from Bethany to Jerusalem, and we have a crowd coming from Jerusalem to Bethany…and this is how we get the Palm Sunday account. We have one crowd who have just come back from celebrating the feasts in Jerusalem and another crowd who have just come back from Bethany where they saw the lord raise Lazarus from the dead.

Now, don’t miss this point! One crowd has just come back from a great religious experience in Jerusalem and we have a crowd that has just come from a great emotional experience in Bethany, they have seen a miracle, the raising of Lazarus from the dead. And when religion and emotionalism comes together, you’re going to have problems. The two crowds come together that’s when you get “Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord, even the King of Israel.” or the Palm Sunday incident. The news of the Lord raising Lazarus from the dead has already hit the Jews who were worshipping in Jerusalem.

John 12:12-13, On the next day the great multitude [thousands of people] who had come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem, took the branches of the palm trees, and went out to meet Him, and {began} to cry out, “Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord, even the King of Israel.”

The crowd didn’t understand what was going on, they were either too wrapped up in their religious experience which they just had in Jerusalem or they were too wrapped up with the miracle they just saw in Bethany. Therefore, they did not understand what our Lord was doing at this time. Just like many believers today are celebrating Palm Sunday and don’t understand a thing about it! In fact, we only know of two people who really understood what was going on at that time, the Lord and Mary who anointed His feet, she understood. She knew that the king must die before He would get his crown. Mary understood that the cross must come before the crown. Before you get the crown you must come by way of the Cross.

Even Satan tried to bypass the cross when he said to the Lord in Matt 4:9, If you will fall down and worship me, I will give you the kingdoms of this world. So, what Satan suggested to the Lord in the great temptation of the wilderness, these two crowds are now suggesting the same thing. They want the Lord to set up His kingdom and be the king, they want the crown and not the Cross. For when they said in John 12:13, “Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord, even the King of Israel”, they are saying in effect, forget the cross, let’s get the crown, “King Of Israel”! And so the crowd doesn’t know what’s going on, the disciples don’t know what’s going on.

So in John 12:12, On the next day the great multitude who had come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem. Now, this is the Sunday before the Wednesday that He dies. By the way, there’s no such thing as “Good Friday”, He didn’t die on a Friday, common sense would tell you that. The Bible says that He would be in the heart of the earth for three days and three nights, Matt 12:40. How could he be raised from the dead on Sunday if he died on a Friday and be in the heart of the earth for three days and three nights? That’s impossible! So He died on “good-Wednesday” and this is the Sunday before and the crowd is cheering Him now. However, in three more days, this same crowd will be shouting “Crucify Him, Crucify Him”, and then insulting and mocking Him while He’s on the Cross. This is the crowd! This is the populace and the popularity that many people crave for!

Now, when it says in John 12:12, On the next day the great multitude who had come to the feast, the feast is a reference to the approaching Passover and the feast of Unleavened Bread, and there are Jews who have come from all over the Roman empire.

John 12:12…when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,

They heard that Jesus was coming. Let me give you a series of events which are about to happen. On Tuesday night, which is really Wednesday for the Jew, we have the beginning of the Passover. Also on Tuesday night we are going to have the upper room discourse where our Lord was celebrating the Passover and then instituted the Lord’s Supper, which we call communion. Then on Tuesday night he will have two trials and Wednesday morning before 9:00 AM, He will have four more trials, totaling 6 (the # of man and sin). Then at 9:00 AM on Wednesday morning, the Lord will be on the Cross fROM 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Then there will be three hours of crucifixion, three hours of bearing the sins of the world, and then He will be in the grave before the sun goes down. And that was God’s schedule from billions and billions of years before. Christ was to die on the Passover because Christ is the Passover, 1Co 5:7.

So, in verse 13, we have the action of the crowd. John 12:13, they took the branches of the palm trees, and went out to meet Him, and {began} to cry out, “Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord, even the King of Israel.”

Now, why did they take these branches from the Palm trees? The Branch is a sign of Messiah-ship, Jer 23:56. Zec 3:8; Zec 6:12-13, Isa 11:1. For example, in Exo 15:27, the palm tree represents the fact that God will sustain his people on their journey to their homeland. Christ is the root and the branch. Christ is the founder of Israel, Christ is the Sustainer of Israel. And so one of the great messianic titles is the branch, this is especially emphasized by Zechariah. Now, what the crowd did in verse 13 was to take branches off of the palm tree to indicate recognition of Christ as the Messiah and as the King. This is something that the Jews are doing and they are doing it in ignorance. Millions of people will do this again when they recognize the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior and will take the branches of the palm trees and worship Him in Heaven, Rev 7:9.

Rev 7:9, After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude, which no one could count, from every nation and all tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, and palm branches were in their hands;

First, it actually takes place in heaven, then it takes place on earth after the second coming when the Lord Jesus Christ sets up His kingdom. In other words, taking the branches off the palm trees is something that the Jews will do when the Lord sets up His kingdom literally on earth. They were not to do it before the Cross, but after. However, in their ignorance they did it and they celebrated Palm Sunday not knowing what it was all about. They wanted the crown before the Cross rather than the Cross before the crown.

John 12:13, took the branches of the palm trees, and went out to meet Him, and {began} to cry out or shout,

In fact, the Greek says that they kept on shouting and shouting and shouting. Now, notice what they shouted “Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord, even the King of Israel.” However, they skip an important phrase in Psa 118:25 having to do with the Cross and then they quote Psa 118:26. Hosanna is a transliteration and it means “save now”, and that is a quotation from PSA 118:25. And they said in Jn 12:13…“Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord, even the King of Israel.” Now this is very important because Psa 118:25 says “O Lord, [Hosanna] do save, we beseech Thee; O Lord, we beseech Thee, do send prosperity!” And this has to do with saving them from their sins and sending blessing and prosperity.

Then in Psa 118:26 it says, “Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord; We have blessed you from the house of the Lord.” This speaks of the second advent. Only, I want you to notice something, they did not just say “Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord”; they said “Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord, even the King of Israel.” The Jews have put the two scriptures together and they are saying that the King has arrived to set up
His kingdom. They don’t want to be saved from their sins, they want to be saved from the Roman Empire and be given fantastic prosperity.

Now, why did they say the King of Israel? Because they’re holding palm branches representing the King of Israel. They are setting Him up as King in opposition to the Roman empire. These are Jews, some believers and some unbelievers, and they all have one thing in mind, deliverance from the Roman empire. They are recognizing the Lord Jesus Christ as the King of Israel because He has just brought back a man from the dead. Now, anyone who can bring a man back from the dead can bring the kingdom of Israel back into its own…independent of the Roman Empire. They make this move for political reasons only. They do not cut branches because they want Christ as the Messiah and Savior. When they say Hosanna (save now) they are talking about their earthly kingdom. They want the First advent to be the Second advent. They want the Lord to set up His earthly kingdom without going to the Cross. They don’t want Him to die as their Savior, they just want to use Him to overthrow the Roman Empire and make them a great nation. That’s the true meaning behind Palm Sunday. This is why they call Him the King of Israel not the Savior of Israel.

Jn 12:13, they took the branches of the palm trees, and went out to meet Him, and {began} to cry out, “Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord,

They want the crown before the Cross, but the Cross must come before the crown. Now, let’s see what our Lord does.

Jn 12:14, And Jesus, finding a young donkey, sat on it; as it is written,

Now, John is simply showing us that the Lord Jesus Christ fulfilled the Father’s will and the plan of God even though the majority is trying to stop Him. The scripture involved here has to do with Zec 9:9, Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout in triumph, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your king is coming to you; He is just and endowed with salvation, Humble, and mounted on a donkey, Even on a colt, the foal of a donkey. The riding upon an ass which has never been rode before is a fulfillment of Num 19:2, Deut 21:3.

Jn 12:15, “Fear not, daughter of Zion; [stop being afraid],”
Why?

Because Christ is going to over throw the Romans? No, because Christ has come to die for your sins and go to the Cross. Jn 12:15, “Fear not, daughter of Zion; behold, your King is coming, seated on a donkey’s colt.” And this refers to the first advent for salvation. Jn 12:16, These things His disciples did not understand at the first; [at the first means while the event was going on]; but when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered. They finally realized that palm branches belong to the Millennium. At this time the disciples were so ignorant that they did not know the difference between the Church-age and the Millennium and that’s why they have the upper room discourse so that they can get straightened out. And then they are going to understand why they shouldn’t have held palm branches in their hand.

Just like a lot of believers today…they’ll be holding palm branches and taking them home and putting them in a sacred place…and all it is, is an emblem of NVTD. It’s religion, superstition, and ignorance in action. It’s palm branches in the hand, nothing in the head. They are ignorant and the funny thing is that ignorance is always ready to admire itself. And therefore everything that the disciples and the crowd are doing here pertains, to the Second coming and they are advocating that the crown should come before the cross.

Jn 12:16, These things His disciples did not understand at the first; but when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things were written of Him, and that they had done these things to Him.

They had done means they, the disciples themselves, they recalled their own stupidity. The disciples, like the rest of these dodo’s, picked up palm branches and palm branches belong to the Millennium.

Jn 12:17, And so the multitude who were with Him when He called Lazarus out of the tomb, and raised him from the dead, were bearing Him witness.

This is why we have such a crowd, only they were not accepting Him as their Lord Savior, they wanted Him to simply free them from the Roman Empire! And that’s why verse 18 says, For this cause also the multitude went and met Him, because they heard that He had performed this sign. They didn’t believe in Christ but they were saying, “He can do us a lot of good.” Anyone who can bring back someone from the dead can deliver us from the Roman Empire. And therefore Palm Sunday is about a crowd who gathered together for political expediency, not spiritual recognition.

Now let’s go back to the Old Testament and see why all of these Jews including the disciples missed the whole point. To understand this we start with Psa 118 which is a hymn sung at the Passover. We will start with verse 14. Psa 118 is Israel’s victory hymn. This hymn was also sung at the Passover.

Psa 118:14, The Lord is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation.

When the Bible says that they sung a hymn and went out, this was the hymn that they would sing at the Passover. And this hymn was also sung at the feast of the Tabernacles…why? Because half of this hymn has to do with the cross and half of this hymn has to do with the Millennium. Half of this hymn had to do with the first advent when the Lord would come to die for the sins of the whole world. Half of this hymn had to do with the Second advent when the Lord would come and set up

His kingdom for a thousand years. So it’s a hymn of victory concerning the Cross and the crown.

Psa 118:14-16, The Lord is my strength [provisions for this life] and song [you sing when you have happiness and this is a reference to that inner happiness], And He has become my salvation. The sound of joyful shouting and salvation is in the tents of the righteous; The right hand of the Lord does valiantly. The right hand of the Lord is exalted [resurrection]; The right hand of the Lord does valiantly.

Verse 17 is the personal testimony of the Lord Jesus Christ. It was also the personal testimony of the author of this Psalm, probably David. And it is also the personal testimony of the nation Israel.

Psa 118:17-22, I shall not die, but live, And tell of the works of the Lord or Jehovah. The Lord has disciplined or chastened me severely, But He has not given me over to death [that means not permanently over to death]. Open to me the gates of righteousness [this is a reference to imputed righteousness]; I shall enter through them, [this is a declaration I will believe in Christ] I shall give thanks to the Lord. This is the gate of the Lord; the righteous will enter through it. I shall give thanks to Thee, for Thou hast answered me; And Thou hast become my salvation. The stone [that’s the Lord Jesus Christ] which the builders rejected [these are the Pharisees frustrated in the gospel of Jn 12:19] has become the chief corner stone.

The chief corner stone means that Christ is the head of Israel and that Christ is the head of the Church.

Psa 118:23, This is the Lord’s doing; [His death, His burial, His resurrection, His ascension is a part of God’s plan so that the Lord here is God the Father] it is marvelous in our eyes.

This is the first advent! This is the Cross. Now in verses 24-26, we have the Second advent. Verse 23 is the Cross. Verse 24 is the crown.

Psa 118:24-25, This is the day [the day of the Lord is the Second advent of Christ] which the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. O Lord, do save, [or hosanna, deliver us now], we beseech Thee; O Lord, we beseech Thee, do send prosperity!

Please notice what this refers to and what they ask for; prosperity. This is the Second advent, the second time that our Lord comes back and sets up His kingdom. And this is what they are quoting over in the gospel of John. Hosanna means, “deliver us now, save us now, deliver us now, with prosperity.”

Psa 118:26, Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord; [the one who brings the prosperity and the kingdom] We have blessed you from the house of the Lord.

And the house of the Lord refers to the Millennial temple. Now, you can understand the crowd mixing this up. They put the crown before the Cross. And the Cross must come before the crown and Palm Sunday is nothing more than saying to God; “We don’t know our doctrine and we would rather have the crown before the cross.”

And so the waving of palms is to take place in the beginning of the Millennium.

Our final passage is found in the gospel of Mark 11:1-10.

Mark 11:1-10, And as they approached Jerusalem, at Bethphage and Bethany, near the Mount of Olives, He sent two of His disciples, and said to them, “Go into the village opposite you, and immediately as you enter it, you will find a colt tied {there,} on which no one yet has ever sat; untie it and bring it {here.} “And if anyone says to you, ‘Why are you doing this?’ you say, ‘The Lord has need of it’ and immediately he will send it back here.” And they went away and found a colt tied at the door outside in the street; and they untied it. And some of the bystanders were saying to them, “What are you doing, untying the colt?” And they spoke to them just as Jesus had told {them,} and they gave them permission. And they brought the colt to Jesus and put their garments on it; and He sat upon it. And many spread their garments in the road, and others {spread} leafy branches which they had cut from the fields. And those who went before [that’s the crowd coming from Jerusalem], and those who followed after [that’s the crowd coming from Bethany], kept on shouting, [quotation from Psa 118:2526] “Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord;

This includes the crowd from Jerusalem, they quoted Psa 118:25-26. The crowd from Bethany, they quoted Psa 118:25-26. And all of the disciples, they quoted Psa 118:25-26. And all three crowds were mixed up. In fact, everyone seems to be mixed up except one woman, Mary! Now, that same day before the sun went down, the Lord did a very wonderful thing, He straightened them out! And how did He do it?

Mark 12:1-5, And He began to speak to them in parables: “A man planted a vineyard [that’s God the Father and the vineyard is Israel], and put a wall around it, and dug a vat under the wine press, and built a tower [this is divine protection], and rented it out to vine growers [these are the Jews] and went on a journey. And at the {harvest} time he sent a slave [this is an Old Testament prophet] to the vine growers, in order to receive {some} of the produce of the vineyard from the vine growers. And they took him, and beat him, and sent him away empty handed. And again he sent them another slave [another Old Testament prophet], and they wounded him in the head, and treated him shamefully. And he sent another, and that one they killed; and {so with} many others, beating some, and killing others.”

Notice how they treated the Old Testament prophets. This is always the attitude of religious people.

Mark 12:6-9, “He had one more {to send,} a beloved son; he sent him last {of all} to them, saying, ‘They will respect my son.’ “But those vine growers said to one another [these are the religious Jews of Jesus’ day], ‘This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and the inheritance will be ours!’ “And they took him, and killed him [the Cross], and threw him out of the vineyard. “What will the owner of the vineyard do? He will come [that is come in Judgment] and destroy the vine growers, and will give the vineyard to others.”

Notice what the Lord says. Mr 12:10, “Have you not even read this Scripture: And notice where the Lord starts, He starts with Psa 118:22, the part of that Psalm that deals with the cross before the crown, Psa 118:22, The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief corner {stone.}

That same day, He starts where they should have started.

And notice what He says;

Mark 12:10-12, “Have you not even read this Scripture: ‘The stone which the builders rejected, This became the chief corner {stone}; This came about from the Lord, And it is marvelous in our eyes’? And they [the religious leaders] were seeking to seize Him; and {yet} they feared the multitude; for they understood that He spoke the parable against them. And {so} they left Him, and went away.

Palm Sunday is nothing more than a blasphemous celebration of ignorance. Palm Sunday is an individual saying, “We are ignorant of what the Bible says, we are simply religious people who have no idea, who don’t get it! And the problem as usual, ignorance.

The Doctrine of Imputations. Part 3.
Resurrection Day.

As many of you know, we call what the majority call Easter, we call Resurrection Sunday. Now, you might wonder why we don’t refer to it as Easter. Well, once again the big problem is ignorance. Just like we noted last Sunday the true means of Palm Sunday, I thought it would appropriate this morning to begin with the origin of Easter and why I much rather call it Resurrection Sunday.

We begin with a little background on the word we call Easter. Actually, like most religious holydays (holidays), has a pagan origin. Easter is no different. The word translated Easter comes from the pagan goddess Eastre, which actually refers to a demon idol, Psa 96:5. In the Eastern pagan spring festivals the goddess Eastre was related to resurrection and fertility of life. These customs have taken a variety of forms in our day and age such as eggs, which were formerly forbidden to be eaten during Lent by the Roman Catholic Church (who else?), but became prominent symbols of new life and resurrection.

The hare, or the rabbit was a symbol of fertility in ancient Egypt, a symbol that was kept later in Europe, is not found in North America. Its place is taken by the Easter rabbit, the symbol of fertility accredited with laying eggs in nests prepared for it at Easter and with hiding them away for children to find. I hope you realize that rabbits or bunnies do lay eggs, they lay chocolate but not eggs!

The English word Easter comes from Eastre, a goddess to whom sacrifice was offered in April, so the name was transferred to the April Passover feast. While many of the orthodox Jews are celebrating the Jewish Passover, because they dont believe 1Co 5:7 that Christ is our Passover, Christians of picked up this pagan holiday and named in Easter, the word Easter is never used in the Bible (except -RSV).

The Jewish Christians in the early church continued to celebrate the Passover, regarding Christ as the true paschal lamb, and this naturally passed over into a commemoration of the death and resurrection of our Lord, or an Easter feast. What we celebrate is the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ and therefore, for that reason we call it Resurrection Sunday

So much for the origin of Easter, it is not our subject, however our subject of the doctrine of Imputations does deal the resurrection body. Let’s pick up this morning with our seventh point in the doctrine, and seven being the finished work number will be our final in our doctrine.

Point 1. Definition

Point 2. The three factors in imputation – the source, the nature, the recipient.

Point 3. The Working Equations of the Plan of God.

Point 4. Imputation as it relates to Selection and Election.

Point 5. Imputations and Virgin Pregnancy and the virgin Birth.

Point 6. The Relationship of Imputations to the Spiritual Growth of the Believer.

Under this point we noted how understanding the imputation of Adams origin sin and the trends passed from our parents, both father and mother, that we can still have victory through our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. Which is why after the apostle defined our problem with our OSN, he reveled the way of victory when he said:

Rom 7:24-25, I am a miserable person! Who will rescue me from the body of this death [old sin nature]? Thanks be to God or grace belongs to God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then, on the one hand, with my mind I am myself am serving the law of God; but on the other hand, with my flesh [old sin nature controlling the soul], I am serving the law of the sin nature.

God in his grace knows we have inherent flaws, environmental flaws, in addition to the sins we accumulate. And then remember, in the original language of scripture there is no chapter break, so Rom 8:1, There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. (And if you have the thundering version of a KJs Bible cross out the phrase that is in it that says who walk after the spirit and not the flesh).

IT AINT THERE!

What is there is just what the NAS says: Rom 8:1-2, There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death.

And so we know come to our final point in the doctrine of imputations which deals with the Last imputation for the believer which takes place when he or she has a resurrection body. For it is a real imputation because the resurrection body is the home or the target for divine blessings for all of eternity.

Point 7. The Imputations of Divine Blessings to the Resurrection body.
Remember if you are victorious over the OSN controlling you soul, you will be blessed in time. However those blessings in time are simply a down payment for the blessings you will receive in eternity in your resurrection body! For remember 1Co 2:9, but just as it is written, Things which eye has not seen and ear has not heard, And which have not entered the heart of man, All that God has prepared for those who love Him.

And so it begins with understanding the principles concerning the resurrection of the believer. First of all, there are two returns from the dead:

1. There is what is known as resuscitation which means a person returns from the dead in the same a body of corruption they died in and they eventually die again. For example, Lazarus beginning in John 11:38-44, when the Lord heard that His Lazarus had died and that His followers still were questioning the fact that He was God, we read Jesus therefore again being deeply moved within, came to the tomb. Now it was a cave, and a stone was lying against it. Jesus said, Remove the stone. Martha, the sister of the deceased, said to Him, Lord, by this time there will be a stench, for he has been dead four days. Jesus said to her, Did I not say to you, if you believe, you will see the glory of God? And so they removed the stone. And Jesus raised His eyes, and said, Father, I thank Thee that Thou heardest Me. And I knew that Thou hearest Me always; but because of the people standing around I said it, that they may believe that Thou didst send Me. And when He had said these things, He cried out with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth. He who had died came forth, bound hand and foot with wrappings; and his face was wrapped around with a cloth. Jesus said to them, Unbind him, and let him go.

This was the body of corruption which been the house for Lazarus when he was alive on earth. Lazarus had been underneath the ground in the compartment of Hades called Paradise where all the Old Testament saints were at this time. However, once Jesus said Lazarus come forth his human spirit and soul were reunited with his earthly body of corruption. I think the only one who was a little bit discouraged was probably Lazarus himself because he was having a ball in Paradise. However, for the glory of God Lazarus came back from the dead, he wasn’t raised from the dead he was what is known as resuscitated from the dead. Which means he was restored back to his human body and would have die physically all over again. And because of this we read in John 11:45, Many therefore of the Jews, who had come to Mary and beheld what He had done, believed in Him. This was a resuscitation from the dead. Lazarus came forth and died physically from the dead. Paul in 2Co 12 was resuscitated from the dead in.

We know that because he tells us in 2Co 11:25, compared with 2Co 12:2-4. Whatever happened he did seem to leave his earthly body and was brought back or resuscitated from the dead. Two boys in the Old Testament were resuscitated from the dead by Elijah. Elijah and Moses during the Tribulation will be resuscitated from the dead. So gain there are two returns from the dead.

First of all, there is what is known as resuscitation which means a person returns from the dead in the same a body of corruption they died in and they eventually die again.

Secondly, then there is resurrection which means a person returns from the dead in a body of incorruption and never dies again.

The body of incorruption is the same body that was corrupted the first time but now the power or the omnipotence of God re-creates it brand new—never to be corrupted again. Therefore resurrection is rising again from the dead in a human body, and never again being subject to death. Resurrection is the body a person will live in for all of eternity. Resurrection is one of the basic doctrines all believers must understand for spiritual growth, Heb 6:1 2. Anyone who dies during the Church Age has an interim body in heaven until the resurrection of the Church at the Rapture. The interim body is described for us in 2Co 5:1-8.

2Co 5:1-8, For we know that if the earthly tent which is our house is torn down, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. For indeed in this house we groan, longing to be clothed with our dwelling from heaven; inasmuch as we, having put it on, shall not be found naked. For indeed while we are in this tent, we groan, being burdened, because we do not want to be unclothed, but to be clothed, in order that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life. Now He who prepared us for this very purpose is God, who gave to us the Spirit as a pledge. Therefore, being always of good courage, and knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord for we walk by faith, not by sight we are of good courage, I say, and prefer rather to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord. Therefore also we have as our ambition, whether at home or absent, to be pleasing to Him.

Now, once we change over from the physical body to the interim body then finally to the resurrection body then notice what happens next in 2Co 5:10.

2Co 5:10, For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.

This is the beginning of the final imputations to the believer, the imputation of divine blessings given to the believer in his resurrection body. We will have a resurrection body like Christs, but not all resurrection bodies will look alike. There are different types of resurrection bodies depending on your success or failure in the Christian life and your attitude toward doctrine. And that’s because some will be clothed with the uniform of glory and some will not.

Rev 3:5, To the winner, he shall thus be clothed in white garments; and I will not erase his title from the book of life, and I will acknowledge his name before My Father, and before His angels.

Rev 3:18, I advise you to buy from Me gold refined by fire, that you may become rich, and white garments, that you may clothe yourself, and {that} the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and eye salve to anoint your eyes, that you may see.

Rev 19:8, And it was given to her to clothe herself in fine linen, bright {and} clean; for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.

Resurrection is a New Testament doctrine. While it is mentioned in the Old Testament, it did not occur historically until the Christocentric dispensations: The great power experiment of Hypostatic Union and the great power experiment of the Church-age. The great power experiment of the Hypostatic Union terminated with the resurrection, ascension, and session of the humanity of Christ. The great power experiment of the Church Age will terminate in the resurrection or Rapture of the Church.

And so the final imputation takes place sometime after physical death or the rapture or the exit resurrection of the church. Remember, that while the believer has control over his life in the execution of the Pre-designed Plan of God through consistent positive volition toward doctrine and through the use of his portfolio of invisible assets. He has no control over the manner or time of his physical death. He cannot prolong his life or cut it short (except, of course, by suicide, which is the sign of a loser believer). Neither does he have any control over the manner of time of the resurrection. The death of the believer is always a matter of the wisdom, integrity and sovereignty of God. You might want to remember these verses when someone dies and you don’t understand why!

Psa 68:20, God is to us a God of deliverances; And to God the Lord belong escapes from death.

Isa 57:1, The righteous man perishes, and no man takes it to heart; And devout men are taken away, while no one understands. For the righteous man is taken away from evil,

The death of the believer is always Gods victory and those who are raised from the dead are His trophies. The type of believer makes no difference; because all go to Heaven. The believer’s death means he is absent from the body, face to face with the Lord, in a place of no more sorrow, no more tears, no more pain, no more death, and the Lords timing is perfect neither too soon and never too late. Death always comes at the exact right time.

Every generation of believers in the Old Testament died a physical death but none of them have experienced resurrection up till this day. The Old Testament saints will be raised from the dead but that takes place seven years after we, the Church-age believers are raised at the rapture also known as Exit Resurrection of the Church. Moses had a dramatic death, climbing the mountain and the Lord taking him home from there. Elijah had a ride to heaven in a special conveyance. But there was no resurrection in the Old Testament.

There could not be a resurrection in the Old Testament, for the first resurrection in history was that of Jesus Christ at the end of the great power experiment of the Hypostatic Union. God is perfect; His wisdom is perfect. God is perfect; His decisions are perfect. And God decides the time and manner of the death of each of us. Job said when he heard of the death of his children in a terrible storm: Job 1:21 The Lord gave; the Lord takes away. Blessed be the name of the Lord.

Rom 8:38 39, For I am persuaded that neither death nor life nor angels nor principalities nor powers nor things present nor things to come nor height nor depth nor any other creature shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus.

So death does not separate us from God.

Psa 116:15 Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.

Phil 1:20-21 On the basis of my intense concentration and confident expectation [a personal sense of destiny] that I shall not be put to shame in anything, but with all confidence, Christ shall even now [in time] as always [in eternity] be glorified in my body, whether by life or by death. For me, living is Christ, likewise dying is profit

When it comes to the believer being blessed in his resurrection body, he will receive something which now follows at the Judgement Seat of Christ. First of all, the judgment seat of Christ is the time of the seventh imputation from the justice of God. First of all, some of these imputations that take place in you resurrection body are classified as crowns. There are at least five categories of crowns for believers in the word of God.

The first four are available to all believers; the last one is available to those who have the spiritual gift of pastor teacher only.

1) The crown of righteousness.

2) The crown of life.

3) The incorruptible crown.

4) The crown of rejoicing.

5) The crown of glory.

Some will have the crown of righteousness for loving His appearing which means that they were totally occupied with the Lord Jesus Christ and produced a lot of divine good, 2Ti 4:8. This is especially true of believers who are in a single status. As the apostle said concerning the subject of dating and marriage in 1Co 7:32-35, But I want you to be free from concern. One who is unmarried is concerned about the things of the Lord, how he may please the Lord; but one who is married is concerned about the things of the world, how he may please his wife, and his interests are divided. And the woman who is unmarried, and the virgin, is concerned about the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and spirit; but one who is married is concerned about the things of the world, how she may please her husband. And this I say for your own benefit; not to put a restraint upon you, but to promote what is seemly, and to secure undistracted devotion to the Lord.

Some will have the crown of life for enduring trials, heartaches, disasters and coming out glorifying the Lord.

Jam 1:12, Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life, which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.

Rev 2:10, Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to cast some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.

Some will have the incorruptible crown for mastering their OSN; 1Co 9:24-27.

1Co 9:24-27, Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may win. And everyone who competes in the games exercises self control in all things. They then do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable. Therefore I run in such a way, as not without aim; I box in such a way, as not beating the air; but I buffet my body and make it my slave, lest possibly, after I have preached to others, I myself should be disqualified.

Some will have the Crown of rejoicing for being soul winners, 1Th 2:19, For who is our hope or joy or crown of exultation? Is it not even you, in the presence of our Lord Jesus at His coming?

Dan 12:3, And those who have insight will shine brightly like the brightness of the expanse of heaven, and those who lead the many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever.

Prov 11:30, The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, And he who is wise wins souls.

Some pastors will have the Cown of glory for being willing to feed the flock of God, 1Pe 5:1-4, I Therefore, I exhort the elders among you, as your fellow elder and witness of the sufferings of Christ, and a partaker also of the glory that is to be revealed, shepherd the flock of God among you, exercising oversight not under compulsion, but voluntarily, according to the will of God; and not for sordid gain, but with eagerness; nor yet as lording it over those allotted to your charge, but proving to be examples to the flock. And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the unfading crown of glory.

Therefore, there is the warning regarding Crowns, Rev 3:11, Hang on to what you have, so that no one takes away your crown.

2Jo 1:8, Watch yourselves, that you might not lose what we have accomplished, but that you may receive a full reward.

Hymn #2

Preparing yourself for the study of God’s Word

Before we begin, if you are a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ (that is— you have trusted in Him for eternal life), it is important to prepare yourself to take-in God’s Word so take a moment to name, cite or acknowledge your sins privately directly to God the Father. This will assure that you are in fellowship with God the Father and the Holy Spirit’s convicting ministry, also called the convincing ministry will then be able to teach you as the Holy Spirit is the real teacher and the pastor’s message is the vehicle the Holy Spirit uses to convince you what you are learning is true or not.

1 John 1:9 says—“If we confess [simply name, cite or acknowledge to God the Father] our sins [known sins], He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins [known sins] and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness [all unknown and forgotten sins].” NKJV (New King James Version)

If you have never personally believed in the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior (that is, believed in Him for eternal life), the issue for you is not to name your sins to God; the issue for you is to believe by faith alone in Jesus Christ alone for eternal life and you will be saved the very second you believe in Him:

John 6:47 says: “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me [Jesus Christ] has everlasting life.” NKJV

Notice again what John 6:47 says, “he who believes in Me [Jesus Christ] has everlasting life.” It doesn’t say, “will have”; it says, “has.” Therefore, the very moment you believe Jesus Christ’s promise of everlasting life, you have it (it’s really just that simple), and it can never be lost or taken away from you (John 10:28-29). Furthermore, the gift of everlasting life (also called eternal life in scripture) is available to every human being; there are absolutely no exceptions.

John 3:14-18 says: “And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” NKJV

Let us now bow our hearts and take a moment to prepare for learning God’s Word, if there is any known sin in your life, this is the time to just cite it privately to God the Father with your thoughts directed towards Him. With your head bowed and your eyes closed, you have total privacy in your mind and soul:

The Doctrine of the Pivot; Part 38.
How the abomination of desolation comes alive.

7. It is clear from the scriptures that the influence and power of both the United States and the RCC will force people to worship the anti-Christ.

What is missing is the power that is behind these beasts which is not human power but demonic power.

When all these things are happening , Eph 6:12 is still a reality and the main power behind the functions of the two beasts.

Eph 6:12 Because our struggle is not against blood [people’s souls] and flesh [their old sin nature], but against the rulers [these are the archons like Abaddon and Beelzebub], against the powers [demon officers who have phenomenal authority], against the world forces of this darkness [kosmokratoras meaning demons who specialize in possessing or influencing the cosmos or world rulers] against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places or against the spiritual forces of evil in the atmosphere around the earth, the stellar universe and in the presence of God.

We cannot get so occupied with the human weapons and vessels that are being used by Satan and the kingdom of darkness and take your eyes off the true enemy.

Rev 12 = we are told that it is a time when Satan and all his angels are kicked out of heaven forever.

The tribulation period is called the devil’s “short time.”
Satan will perform signs and wonders and miracles to deceive those who are alive on the earth at that time.

Matt 12:39 “An evil and adulterous generation craves for a sign; and yet no sign shall be given to it but the sign of Jonah the prophet;”

2Th 2:7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work only he who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way [Rapture].

2Th 2:8 And then that lawless one [the anti-Christ] will be revealed whom the Lord will slay with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming; – Second Coming

2Th 2:9 that is, the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with all power and signs and false wonders,

Image = the Greek noun eikon which means an idol, a statue, a representation, here we go again with the principle of counterfeiting.

The Antichrist will forbid and abolish all religious worship, declaring himself God and requiring worship of himself, with suppression, persecution, and even death to all who won’t bow to him.

Then the real fearful part of the Tribulation Period, the last three and a half years will begin.

When the statue or idol which is set up in the Jewish temple comes alive then this Abomination of Desolation introduces the Great

Tribulation period, the second three and a half years of the Antichrist’s reign.

When you see it standing there, you’ll know the Tribulation has begun.
When you see come alive, you’ll know that the worse time in all of human history is about to begin.

Jesus said you’d see it “standing in the holy place,” Matt 24:15.

Daniel 11:31 said it is the anti-Christ “ that places there the Abomination of Desolation” inside of the Jewish temple, Dan 11:35.

Daniel 12:11 says that “the Abomination of Desolation is “SET UP.” He places it, he sets it up and it stands there, so it’s some kind of standing object.

In the 13th chapter of Revelation we find out that it’s an image of the Antichrist himself.

Why does it say that the image might even speak?
It says it because it was just an idol or a statue that had now come alive!

Gen 2:7 Then the Lord God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.

What did TLJC do?
He breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, Gen 2:7.

How does the statue or the idol called the abomination of desolation come alive?

The Image of the Beast will be able to not only speak, but also kill—or cause individuals to be killed somehow.

It will be the ultimate in idolatry: Man worshiping an abominable demon-possessed idol that desolates the world.

The key to understanding this is the fact that the image is related to demons and therefore a sign of demonic power.

The image of the beast refers to the statue that the anti-Christ sets up.
In Daniel 11:31, Daniel writes that it refers to a literal statue or idol that the anti-Christ sets up in the temple during the tribulation period.

Daniel 11:31 “And forces from him will arise, desecrate the sanctuary fortress, and do away with the regular sacrifice. And they will set up the abomination of desolation. – which is a statue representing Satan and the anti-Christ.

In Ezra 9:1-4 it is referred to as a “motionless abomination” or an “appalling abomination”.

The phrase “abomination of desolation” is found in three places in the Book of Daniel, all within the context of the end time Tribulation period; Dan 9:27; 11:31; 12:11.

According to 1 Maccabees 1:54, the abomination that Daniel mentioned was actually erected on the altar of burnt offering.

This statue known as the abomination of desolation is said to be standing, Matt 24:15.

Matt 24:15 “Therefore when you see the abomination of desolation which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand),

Matt 24:3 “Tell us, when will these things be, and what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?”

Matt 24:4 “See to it that no one deceives you.”

A. The activity of terrorism.

B. Riots and escalating crime and evil.

C. Drug wars.

D. A major economic crash.

E. AIDS and other epidemics.

F. Nuclear threats from radical nations.

G. Political corruption.

H. Gross miscarriage of justice by the courts.

I. Welfare abuse.

J. Increasing taxes.

K. Pornography and sickening immorality.

L. Appalling global disasters.

M. Radical “special interest” groups who try and use their money to gain power and influence.

N. Civil war within the nation

The issue is — “Where are you?”
Or — “Where do you stand?”
