Preparing yourself for the study of God’s Word

Before we begin, only if you are a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ (that is; you have believed [trusted] in Him for His promised gift of eternal life) John 3:16, John 6:47 as a few examples; it is very important to prepare yourself to learn God's Word so the Holy Spirit can teach you as to what your reading or hearing is true or false. To be taught by the Holy Spirit you must be filled with the Holy Spirit which means abiding in Christ. To place yourself in fellowship with God the Holy Spirit [also called abiding in the Christ], take a moment to simply name, cite or acknowledge [confess] your known unconfessed sins privately to God (i.e.; with your thoughts directed only to God the Father). Why? Because you cannot grow spiritually if you’re not abiding in Christ [in fellowship with Him] when you take in bible truth.

1 John 1:9, says: “If we confess [meaning to simply name, cite or acknowledge to God the Father] our sins [known unconfessed sins], He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins [known sins] and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness [all unknown and forgotten sins];” NKJV (New King James Version); we call this REBOUND; read the full doctrine as to “why” we need to use 1 John 1:9 to grow spiritually. Left click the following link to learn more and fully understand the doctrine of Rebound; which answers the question, why do I need to keep confessing my sins all the time? REBOUND

If you have never personally believed in the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior (that is, believed in Him for eternal life), the issue for you is not to name your sins to God; the issue for you is to believe by faith alone in Jesus, The Christ alone for eternal life [salvation] and you will be saved [receive Eternal Life] the very micro second you believe in Him:

John 6:47 says: “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me [Jesus Christ] has everlasting life.” NKJV

Notice again what John 6:47 says, “he who believes in Me [Jesus Christ] has everlasting life.” It doesn’t say, “will have”; it says, “has.” Therefore, the very moment you believe Jesus Christ’s promise of everlasting life, you have it (it’s really just that simple), and it can never be lost or taken away from you (John 10:28-29). Furthermore, the gift of everlasting life (also called eternal life in scripture) is available to every human being; there are absolutely no exceptions.

John 3:14-18 says: “And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness [Num 21:4-9], even so must the Son of Man be lifted up [the cross], that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” NKJV

Let us now bow our hearts and take a moment to prepare for learning God’s Word, if there is any known sin in your life, this is the time to just cite it privately to God the Father with your thoughts directed towards Him. With your head bowed and your eyes closed, you have total privacy in your mind and soul:

NOTES

Unlike the bible study, these notes are not just for reading without watching the video. These notes are more designed to follow along during the sermon and to bring up the “hover pop-up scripture references;” if just hover doesn’t work, do a “control-left-click,” if that doesn’t work then look them up in your Bible when the Pastor asks everyone to turn to that passage in their bibles.

The Angelic Conflict - Part 53 - Point 14. - The Angelic Conflict In Human History Answers Basic Questions About Life

a. Why man? Mankind was created to resolve the prehistoric angelic conflict and to glorify God as an inferior creature to angels.

b. Why did God allow sin? To resolve the angelic conflict all members of the human race must have the same free will as angels to choose for or against God, as angels did in eternity past.

c. Why chaos on planet earth? There will always be chaos and evil as long as Satan rules this world.

d. Why human suffering? Because man is a sinner and Satan is the ruler of this world, it is inevitable that we all come under the law of volitional responsibility, which explains most of the suffering in the world.

We suffer because we have a free will, and God allows us to make our own decisions and also allows the consequences of those decisions to prevail.

We suffer from both immoral and moral evil. Mat 6:23 “If therefore the light [moral evil] that is in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!”

(1) Under the law of volitional responsibility and divine discipline, suffering is designed to orient us to the reality of sin and failure, and the need for recovery.

Jer 2:19 “Your own wickedness will correct you, And your apostasies will reprove you; Know therefore and see that it is evil and bitter For you to forsake the Lord your God, And the dread of Me is not in you,” declares the Lord God of hosts.

(2) Under undeserved suffering, the believer is challenged to use the PSD’s [Problem Solving Devices] to grow in grace, orient to the plan of God, and advance to spiritual maturity where we can glorify God in the angelic conflict.

(a) Preventative suffering is added to spiritual self-esteem, the first stage of spiritual adulthood, to strengthen it to the point of spiritual autonomy or independence.

Preventative suffering = short-termed suffering from the sovereignty of God for the benefit of the believer.

Ecc 7:14 In the day of prosperity be happy, But in the day of adversity consider -- God has made the one as well as the other So that man may not discover anything that will be after him.

When we go through adversity, if we would only consider it as part of “the work of God,” then we would submit to it knowing that it is for our own benefit!

Often the purpose of preventative suffering is to learn obedience, self-discipline, and enforced and genuine humility.

This is a form of suffering designed to make the individual stronger within and increase his personal love for God.

This is designed to push you from spiritual self-esteem to spiritual autonomy, the next stage of spiritual growth.

In S.S.E., you have a certain amount of doctrine, but there is always the danger of becoming arrogant.

God brings in some undeserved suffering which inevitably takes away your strength, your reputation or your so-called status, to prevent you from becoming proud.

“given” = aor-pass-ind - edothe = this was given for a blessing and benefit.

Preventative suffering, like all suffering for blessing, is not designed to be removed by prayer.

“And He has said to me” = perf-act-ind - eireken = Paul remembered something that the Lord had taught him.

Everything necessary to fulfill the PPOG [Predesigned Plan of God] was provided in eternity past by way of assets in the Portfolio of Invisible Assets. Then God provides doctrine and suffering in time.

Suffering becomes a spotlight to the angels in the angelic conflict focusing on God’s power and our simultaneous weakness, weakness brought about by suffering for blessing.

Suffering for blessing focuses on God’s grace, and turns boasting away from self-glorification into worship, love, and appreciation for God.

1. Insults = slander and people testing.

2. Distresses = pressure and thought testing.

3. Persecutions = system testing.

4. Difficulties = stress and disaster testing.
