Hymn #2

Preparing yourself for the study of God’s Word

Before we begin, only if you are a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ (that is; you have believed [trusted] in Him for His promised gift of eternal life) John 3:16, John 6:47 as a few examples; it is very important to prepare yourself to learn God's Word so the Holy Spirit can teach you as to what your reading or hearing is true or false. To be taught by the Holy Spirit you must be filled with the Holy Spirit which means abiding in Christ. To place yourself in fellowship with God the Holy Spirit [also called abiding in the Christ], take a moment to simply name, cite or acknowledge [confess] your known unconfessed sins privately to God (i.e.; with your thoughts directed only to God the Father). Why? Because you cannot grow spiritually if you’re not abiding in Christ [in fellowship with Him] when you take in bible truth.

1 John 1:9, says: “If we confess [meaning to simply name, cite or acknowledge to God the Father] our sins [known unconfessed sins], He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins [known sins] and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness [all unknown and forgotten sins];” NKJV (New King James Version); we call this REBOUND; read the full doctrine as to “why” we need to use 1 John 1:9 to grow spiritually. Left click the following link to learn more and fully understand the doctrine of Rebound; which answers the question, why do I need to keep confessing my sins all the time? REBOUND

If you have never personally believed in the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior (that is, believed in Him for eternal life), the issue for you is not to name your sins to God; the issue for you is to believe by faith alone in Jesus, The Christ alone for eternal life [salvation] and you will be saved [receive Eternal Life] the very micro second you believe in Him:

John 6:47 says: “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me [Jesus Christ] has everlasting life.” NKJV

Notice again what John 6:47 says, “he who believes in Me [Jesus Christ] has everlasting life.” It doesn’t say, “will have”; it says, “has.” Therefore, the very moment you believe Jesus Christ’s promise of everlasting life, you have it (it’s really just that simple), and it can never be lost or taken away from you (John 10:28-29). Furthermore, the gift of everlasting life (also called eternal life in scripture) is available to every human being; there are absolutely no exceptions.

John 3:14-18 says: “And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness [Num 21:4-9], even so must the Son of Man be lifted up [the cross], that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” NKJV

Let us now bow our hearts and take a moment to prepare for learning God’s Word, if there is any known sin in your life, this is the time to just cite it privately to God the Father with your thoughts directed towards Him. With your head bowed and your eyes closed, you have total privacy in your mind and soul:

NOTES

Unlike the bible study, these notes are not just for reading without watching the video. These notes are more designed to follow along during the sermon and to bring up the “hover pop-up scripture references;” if just hover doesn’t work, do a “control-left-click,” if that doesn’t work then look them up in your Bible when the Pastor asks everyone to turn to that passage in their bibles.

The Angelic Conflict - Part 51 - “Crowned with glory and honor” is not speaking of His resurrected body but His physical body which was without sin and impeccable.

1. It saved mankind!

2. It got back the crown that Adam lost.

The first Adam tasted the fruit and died spiritually; the last Adam tasted death and we live eternally.

for = gar = used to link the last sentence with the next one. It points to why Heb 1:1-14 and Heb 2:1-9 are true.

“it was fitting” = imp-act-ind - eprepen = to have inner fitness, to be totally equipped or suitable.

As a part of the victory in the angelic conflict and our Lord’s new position at the right hand of God the Father, God takes fallen humans and makes something out of them that causes Satan to grind his teeth!

1. Everything depends on God’s character and God’s ability.

2. God designed a perfect plan that man can have nothing to do with or else it is no longer perfect.

3. Legalism is the great enemy of Christ.

4. Satan cannot get into us through demon possession so he uses false doctrine and legalistic teaching to cause demon influence in our souls.

In the angelic conflict, Satan promotes human good within Christians to make them perform and improve his world!

“many sons” = believers in the Church-age only who are sons of God because of their union with TLJC [The Lord Jesus Christ], Mat 3:17; Eph 1:6, Gal 3:26-28.

glory = doxan = dignity and honor

author = archegon = the chief or supreme leader, the ruler, the prince, or the author.

Acts 3:15 But you put to death the Prince [archegon] of life, the one whom God raised from the dead, a fact to which we are witnesses.

Acts 5:31 “He is the one whom God exalted to His right hand as a Prince [archegon] and a Savior, to grant repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.”

to perfect = aor-act-inf - teleiosai = to advance to completion, to finish; TLJC is completed when every son (Church-age believer) is presented to Him as His bride!

“Sufferings” is in the plural because He was judged for every single sin in the history of the human race!

“He who sanctifies” = pres-act-part - hagiazon = to make holy, to purify even mentally.

1Co 1:2, Heb 10:10 - every believer is sanctified or set apart for God.

sanctified = pres-mid-part - hagiazomenoi = to receive holiness and to be set apart by God.

Heb 4:13 And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are open and laid bare to the eyes of Him with whom we have to do.

Psa 130:3 If you Lord marked iniquities, no one could stand!

TLJC is perfect and every believer is in union with Him!

to call = pres-act-inf - kalien = to call or to name.

1Co 2:16 - through the mind of Christ!

Behold = aor-mid-imp - idou = to look or to focus your attention!

“God has given” = aor-act-ind - edoken = to reward through giving.

In this angelic conflict, Satan holds man in his power, just like a jailer holds a prisoner until there is a true legal release.

“might deliver” = aor-act-sub - apallaxe = to release or to set free; or to deliver!

1. Jesus Christ became true humanity to do the will of the Father, Heb 10:5-10.

2. Jesus Christ had to become true humanity to be the Savior of the world, Phi 2:7-8; Heb 2:14-15.

3. Jesus Christ had to become true humanity to be the mediator between God and man, Job 9:2, 32-33; 1Ti 2:5-6.

4. Jesus Christ had to become true humanity to be our high priest, Heb 7:4-5,14,28; Heb 10:5,10-14.

5. Jesus Christ had to become true humanity to be a king and rule forever. He had to be the Son of David to fulfill the Davidic covenant to Israel, 2Sa 7:8-16; Psa 89:20-37.

suffered = per-act-ind - peponthen = to suffer, to undergo punishment.

was tempted = aor-pass-part - peirastheis = to test, to approve for good or bad, to test someone to determine their character.

pres-pass-part - peirazomenois = to test, to try the quality and character of an individual!
