Preparing yourself for the study of God’s Word
Before we begin, only if you are a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ (that is; you have believed [trusted] in Him for His promised gift of eternal life) John 3:16, John 6:47 as a few examples; it is very important to prepare yourself to learn God's Word so the Holy Spirit can teach you as to what your reading or hearing is true or false. To be taught by the Holy Spirit you must be filled with the Holy Spirit which means abiding in Christ. To place yourself in fellowship with God the Holy Spirit [also called abiding in the Christ], take a moment to simply name, cite or acknowledge [confess] your known unconfessed sins privately to God (i.e.; with your thoughts directed only to God the Father). Why? Because you cannot grow spiritually if you’re not abiding in Christ [in fellowship with Him] when you take in bible truth.
1 John 1:9, says: “If we confess [meaning to simply name, cite or acknowledge to God the Father] our sins [known unconfessed sins], He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins [known sins] and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness [all unknown and forgotten sins];” NKJV (New King James Version); we call this REBOUND; read the full doctrine as to “why” we need to use 1 John 1:9 to grow spiritually. Left click the following link to learn more and fully understand the doctrine of Rebound; which answers the question, why do I need to keep confessing my sins all the time? REBOUND
If you have never personally believed in the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior (that is, believed in Him for eternal life), the issue for you is not to name your sins to God; the issue for you is to believe by faith alone in Jesus, The Christ alone for eternal life [salvation] and you will be saved [receive Eternal Life] the very micro second you believe in Him:
John 6:47 says: “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me [Jesus Christ] has everlasting life.” NKJV
Notice again what John 6:47 says, “he who believes in Me [Jesus Christ] has everlasting life.” It doesn’t say, “will have”; it says, “has.” Therefore, the very moment you believe Jesus Christ’s promise of everlasting life, you have it (it’s really just that simple), and it can never be lost or taken away from you (John 10:28-29). Furthermore, the gift of everlasting life (also called eternal life in scripture) is available to every human being; there are absolutely no exceptions.
John 3:14-18 says: “And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness [Num 21:4-9], even so must the Son of Man be lifted up [the cross], that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” NKJV
Let us now bow our hearts and take a moment to prepare for learning God’s Word, if there is any known sin in your life, this is the time to just cite it privately to God the Father with your thoughts directed towards Him. With your head bowed and your eyes closed, you have total privacy in your mind and soul:

NOTES
Unlike the bible study, these notes are not just for reading without watching the video. These notes are more designed to follow along during the sermon and to bring up the “hover pop-up scripture references;” if just hover doesn’t work, do a “control-left-click,” if that doesn’t work then look them up in your Bible when the Pastor asks everyone to turn to that passage in their bibles.
The Angelic Conflict - Part 40 - Satan’s primary strategy was dictated by his hatred of God, and not by hatred of the creature whom he saw in the garden, man.
Once Satan convinced Adam and the woman to rebel against God’s command and eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, he thought he had defeated God!
Satan wanted to increase the number of his followers so he could secure his hold as possessor of the earth by having on his side those who were to replace him, mankind!
He wished to detach man from God, but he also wished to attach man to himself.
That man, created lower than angels, should presume to rely upon himself alone, didn’t even occur to Satan and the fallen angels!
Satan had underestimated the arrogance of independence and willfulness even though he himself possessed it in its highest degree.
Although he led man away from the place of divine blessing, he did not lead him into his own camp as a dedicated follower of the kingdom of darkness!
Ecc 10:8 “He who digs a pit may fall into it”
Evil falls upon the heads of its own authors.
Psa 7:15 He has dug a pit and hollowed it out, And has fallen into the hole which he made.
Mat 7:1-2 “Do not judge lest you be judged. For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you.”
Psa 57:6 They have prepared a net for my steps; My soul is bowed down; They dug a pit before me; They themselves have fallen into the midst of it. Selah.
Prov 26:27 “He who digs a pit will fall into it, And he who rolls a stone, it will come back on him.”
They try to promote themselves and destroy others; they end up destroying themselves and promoting others = operation boomerang.
Luk 6:37 “And do not judge and you will not be judged; and do not condemn, and you will not be condemned; pardon, and you will be pardoned.”
The Serpent led man away from God, but he also led himself into a trap.
“Another such victory and Pyrrhus will be destroyed.”
Man’s sin was not a victory for Satan.
While Satan gained control of the world through the fall of man, he did not necessarily gain control over the volition of mankind.
There are only two wills to follow, God’s will and Satan’s will, but to follow Satan’s will doesn’t necessarily mean to do what he wants us to do.
Independence from God does not mean dependence on Satan! In the world today, men seek not the will of Satan but their own will.
“A serious question arises whether the presence of gross evil in the world is due to Satan’s intention to have it so, or whether it indicates Satan’s inability to execute all he has designed.
The probability is great that Satan’s ambition has led him to undertake more than any creature could ever administer.” - Lewis Sperry Chafer
Satan would like man to believe that man is now a dependent on Satan as his master.
Spiritual death does not hinder the power of positive decision toward God aided by the ministry of God the Holy Spirit in common and efficacious grace.
In the sin of Adam, where Satan seemed to win a decisive victory, there was a profound defeat for Satan, the key to much of the rest of human history.
Satan succeeded in detaching man from obedience to the Word of God, from a belief in the goodness of God, and from from confidence in God and dependence upon God.
Though Satan won all of these victories, he lost the whole battle - he did not succeed in attaching man to himself.
In the beginning there had been one will, the will of God, the Creator. After the rebellion of Lucifer there had been two wills, that of God and the rebel.
Today there are literally billions of wills, more than two billions wills in this world alone.
The sin of Adam was, in the final analysis, the echo of Satan’s own declaration of independence.
“It matters not how strait the gate, How charged with punishments the scroll; I am the master of my fate, I am the captain of my soul. - William Ernest Henley
The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God,” Psa 14:1.
How does this revelation of the nature of the fall of Adam affect Satan in the invisible war and the angelic conflict?
Before the creation of the human race, God put a curse upon the earth when Lucifer rebelled, and it became a ruin, waste and desolate, and darkness covered the seas.
Then God withdrew into the majestic silence of His infinite heaven and left Satan to grieve over the chaotic mass of earth.
He was utterly powerless before the chaos which had come from a simple word of judgment from the Almighty God.
Two separate battles are now being carried on: Satan against God in the invisible warfare, and man against God in human history.
Will Satan be able to organize mankind into a kingdom for himself? Will man be able to organize himself, humanity, and civilization, so that he can bring peace and order into his realm?
Man is a rebel. He has an active will in rebellion against God, and, in many instances, in rebellion against Satan and other members of the human race!
“Oh, God, Thou hast formed us for Thyself; and our souls can know no rest until they rest in Thee.” - Augustine
God’s plan is for both creatures, angels and humans, to realize how helpless they are with Him!
