Hymn #1

Hymn #2

Preparing yourself for the study of God’s Word

Before we begin, only if you are a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ (that is; you have believed [trusted] in Him for His promised gift of eternal life) John 3:16, John 6:47 as a few examples; it is very important to prepare yourself to learn God's Word so the Holy Spirit can teach you as to what your reading or hearing is true or false. To be taught by the Holy Spirit you must be filled with the Holy Spirit which means abiding in Christ. To place yourself in fellowship with God the Holy Spirit [also called abiding in the Christ], take a moment to simply name, cite or acknowledge [confess] your known unconfessed sins privately to God (i.e.; with your thoughts directed only to God the Father). Why? Because you cannot grow spiritually if you’re not abiding in Christ [in fellowship with Him] when you take in bible truth.

1 John 1:9, says: “If we confess [meaning to simply name, cite or acknowledge to God the Father] our sins [known unconfessed sins], He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins [known sins] and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness [all unknown and forgotten sins];” NKJV (New King James Version); we call this REBOUND; read the full doctrine as to “why” we need to use 1 John 1:9 to grow spiritually. Left click the following link to learn more and fully understand the doctrine of Rebound; which answers the question, why do I need to keep confessing my sins all the time? REBOUND

If you have never personally believed in the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior (that is, believed in Him for eternal life), the issue for you is not to name your sins to God; the issue for you is to believe by faith alone in Jesus, The Christ alone for eternal life [salvation] and you will be saved [receive Eternal Life] the very micro second you believe in Him:

John 6:47 says: “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me [Jesus Christ] has everlasting life.” NKJV

Notice again what John 6:47 says, “he who believes in Me [Jesus Christ] has everlasting life.” It doesn’t say, “will have”; it says, “has.” Therefore, the very moment you believe Jesus Christ’s promise of everlasting life, you have it (it’s really just that simple), and it can never be lost or taken away from you (John 10:28-29). Furthermore, the gift of everlasting life (also called eternal life in scripture) is available to every human being; there are absolutely no exceptions.

John 3:14-18 says: “And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness [Num 21:4-9], even so must the Son of Man be lifted up [the cross], that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” NKJV

Let us now bow our hearts and take a moment to prepare for learning God’s Word, if there is any known sin in your life, this is the time to just cite it privately to God the Father with your thoughts directed towards Him. With your head bowed and your eyes closed, you have total privacy in your mind and soul:

NOTES

Unlike the bible study, these notes are not just for reading without watching the video. These notes are more designed to follow along during the sermon and to bring up the “hover pop-up scripture references;” if just hover doesn’t work, do a “control-left-click,” if that doesn’t work then look them up in your Bible) when the Pastor asks everyone to turn to that passage in their bibles.

Internet Church Service – December 25, 2022; Commandment 7. You shall not Commit Adultery.

Ac 17:11 Now these [Bereans] were more noble‑minded than those in Thessalonica, for they received the word with great eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily, to see whether these things were so.

In 2Ti 2:15 we are to "Study to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, handling accurately the word of truth.

Jn 14:26 "But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you.

Worship - Eph 4:11-12; "And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of the ministry, to the building up of the body of Christ;

1Jo 2:27 And as for you, the anointing [ministry of the Hoy Spirit to the believer] which you received from Him abides in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie.

Rev 2:11 'He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.

We hardly spent enough time upon it with both the "eye gate" and the "ear gate" together leaning divine viewpoint.

Is the Phallic cult, a religion condoning and tempting the believer with sexual sins, still around today?

"Webster's New Twentieth Century Dictionary says that a cult means devoted attachment to, or extravagant admiration for, a person, principle or thing etc.

You are in danger of entering into unrealistic expectation toward that person or toward those things you are concentrating upon.

Iconoclastic arrogance causes the individual to elevate a person and then attack the individual because he or she did not live up to the pedestal that YOU elevated them upon.

Iconoclastic arrogance is a very subtle form of arrogance that may slither its way into your life along with the arrogance of criticism which is subjective pre-occupation with others.

They judge, they condemn, they find faults, and in their arrogance, they are constantly opposing others.

Luk 6:37 "And do not judge and you will not be judged; and do not condemn, and you will not be condemned; pardon, and you will be pardoned.

Iconoclastic arrogance picks up all the problems related to others and merely complicates one's life, usually by an overemphasis upon the individual that you elevated.

1Pe 4:15 By no means let any of you suffer as a murderer, or thief, or evildoer, or as a busybody in other people's life.

Iconoclastic arrogance = placing demands upon others but not upon yourself.

Jud 1:16 These are grumblers, finding fault, following after their own lusts; they speak arrogantly, flattering people for the sake of gaining an advantage.

1Sa 2:3 "Boast no more so very proudly, Do not let arrogance come out of your mouth; For the Lord is a God of knowledge, And with Him actions are weighed.

Neh 9:16 "But they, our fathers, acted arrogantly; They became stubborn and would not listen to Thy commandments.

Jer 49:16 "As for the terror of you, The arrogance of your heart has deceived you,"

Jm 4:16 But as it is, you boast in your arrogance; all such boasting is evil.

The arrogant person doesn't realize that he has enough problems without getting involved with the lives of others.

The disillusion can be either with people in the public eye or with those whom you have contact with.

Arrogance and excessive admiration for a person is a guarantee for a letdown.

Important: When arrogance becomes disenchanted with the idol it has created, then arrogance seeks to destroy the idol. It is admiration one day and antagonism the next day.

One minute Paul's a murderer, the next minute, he's a god!

All humans possess an OSN [old sin nature], however, iconoclastic arrogance seems to forget this and once the OSN shows then the arrogant person is insulted.

There is no loyalty, no love, no faithfulness, no humility in the arrogant individual.....so he now turns on the object of his admiration who know becomes the object of his arrogance.

Jm 1:8 being a double‑minded man, unstable in all his ways.

Jm 4:8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double‑minded.

The arrogant believer takes an ordinary person and from illusions of one sort or another, creates romantic illusions or illusions of self-importance, sexual illusions, or illusions of power.

One of the most devastating forms of arrogance is to idolize someone who communicates doctrine then destroy him when he teaches something you disagree with.

When the communicator says something or does something to let you down then you end up rejecting the communication of doctrine.

The smart believer accepts the doctrine and ignores the communicator.

1Sa 8:7 And the Lord said to Samuel, "Listen to the voice of the people in regard to all that they say to you, for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected Me from being king over them.

Luk 10:16 "The one who listens to you listens to Me, and the one who rejects you rejects Me; and he who rejects Me rejects the One who sent Me."

Destruction of a pastor-idol who teaches doctrine means rejection of Bible doctrine.

Rejection of that doctrine means rejection of God's plan, God's purpose and God's will for your life.

Iconoclastic arrogance is one reason for a large percentage of apostate believers and a major cause for rejection of doctrine.

prin-Occasional disappointments with friends, loved ones, husbands, wives, children, bosses, pastors, coaches, etc. is normal but disenchantment or disillusion with a self-manufactured idol is destructive.

The Webster's Dictionary also says that a cult is a great devotion to a person, idea, or thing, (especially), such devotion regarded as academic or intellectual fad or mania.

This is when the individual becomes proud and overestimates what he ends up worshipping, whether it is a place, a person or a thing!

Garbage = certain defense mechanisms such as suppression, repression, dissociation, and denial, and garbage in the stream of consciousness related to idealization, role model arrogance, and unrealistic expectation.

When faced with certain commands on how to deal with sexual sins and the giants in their promised land, they are mature enough to fulfill their very own personal sense of destiny.

A cult reveals one's obsession with whatever type of power or influences that are controlling the individual.

Heb 13:5, that your "lifestyle is to be free from the love of money, not flee from money, but flee from being in love with money and instead being content with what you have;"

Isa 55:1 "Ho! Every one who thirsts, come to the waters; And you who have no money come, buy and eat. Come, buy wine and milk Without money and without cost.

Luk 3:14 And some soldiers were questioning him, saying, "And what about us, what shall we do?" And he said to them, "Do not take money from anyone by force, or accuse anyone falsely, and be content with your wages."

Luk 16:14 Now the Pharisees, who were lovers of money, were listening to all these things, and they were scoffing at Him.

Jn 12:6 Now he said this, not because he was concerned about the poor, but because he was a thief, and as he had the money box, he used to pilfer what was put into it.

2Ti 3:2 For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy,

Message Bible -- Job 31:24 "Did I set my heart on making big money or worship at the bank?

(MB) Pr 16:16 Get wisdom‑‑ it is worth more than money; choose insight over income every time.

(MB) Pr 22:1 A sterling reputation is better than striking it rich; a gracious spirit is better than money in the bank.

(MB) Pr 23:23 Buy truth‑‑don't sell it for love or money; buy wisdom, buy education, buy insight.

A cult is not necessarily devotion to a "god" as such, but it can also be devotion to an idea, especially one set up by the "god" of this world, Satan himself.

Main key = define the invisible battles that take place within the believer as well as not letting anything control you to the extent that it hinders and takes the believer away from fulfilling the PPOG [predesigned plan of God] and their very own P.S.D. [personal self-esteem]

Rom 7:14 For we know that the Law is spiritual; but I am of flesh, sold into bondage to sin.

He knows that one of the most basic needs in the human race is the need to be loved, appreciated and wanted.

Most individuals do not understand the difference between natural desires and lusts.

Eph 4:22 that, in reference to your former manner of life, you lay aside the old self, which is being corrupted in accordance with the lusts of deceit,

Paul is actually telling us about the influences that are impelling and driving and urging the old self in us toward destruction.

Lust in this passage refers to the Greek noun epithumia, the word itself actually means to have a strong or an overpowering desire.

Luk 22:15, "I have earnestly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer."

Now, in verse 15, the word for "earnestly desired" is the same word that is used elsewhere for lust --- epithumia = a driving desire, whether good or bad.

Mat 5:28 But I say to you, that everyone who looks on a woman to lust [epithumia] for her has committed adultery with her already in his heart.

Mat 13:17 "For truly I say to you, that many prophets and righteous men desired [epithumia] to see what you see, and did not see it; and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it.

1Co 10:6 Now these things happened as examples for us, that we should not lust [epithumia] for evil things, as they also lusted [epithumia].

1Ti 3:1 It is a trustworthy statement: if any man aspires to [epithumia] the office of overseer, it is a fine work he desires to do.

Jm 4:2 You lust [epithumia] and do not have; so you commit murder. And you are envious and cannot obtain; so you fight and quarrel. You do not have because you do not ask.

In all these passages epithumia can mean lust or desire depending on not "what" it is directed towards but "how" it is directed toward those things.
