Hymn #1

Hymn #2

Preparing yourself for the study of God’s Word

Before we begin, only if you are a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ (that is; you have believed [trusted] in Him for His promised gift of eternal life) John 3:16, John 6:47 as a few examples; it is very important to prepare yourself to learn God's Word so the Holy Spirit can teach you as to what your reading or hearing is true or false. To be taught by the Holy Spirit you must be filled with the Holy Spirit which means abiding in Christ. To place yourself in fellowship with God the Holy Spirit [also called abiding in the Christ], take a moment to simply name, cite or acknowledge [confess] your known unconfessed sins privately to God (i.e.; with your thoughts directed only to God the Father). Why? Because you cannot grow spiritually if you’re not abiding in Christ [in fellowship with Him] when you take in bible truth.

1 John 1:9, says: “If we confess [meaning to simply name, cite or acknowledge to God the Father] our sins [known unconfessed sins], He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins [known sins] and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness [all unknown and forgotten sins];” NKJV (New King James Version); we call this REBOUND; read the full doctrine as to “why” we need to use 1 John 1:9 to grow spiritually. Left click the following link to learn more and fully understand the doctrine of Rebound; which answers the question, why do I need to keep confessing my sins all the time? REBOUND

If you have never personally believed in the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior (that is, believed in Him for eternal life), the issue for you is not to name your sins to God; the issue for you is to believe by faith alone in Jesus, The Christ alone for eternal life [salvation] and you will be saved [receive Eternal Life] the very micro second you believe in Him:

John 6:47 says: “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me [Jesus Christ] has everlasting life.” NKJV

Notice again what John 6:47 says, “he who believes in Me [Jesus Christ] has everlasting life.” It doesn’t say, “will have”; it says, “has.” Therefore, the very moment you believe Jesus Christ’s promise of everlasting life, you have it (it’s really just that simple), and it can never be lost or taken away from you (John 10:28-29). Furthermore, the gift of everlasting life (also called eternal life in scripture) is available to every human being; there are absolutely no exceptions.

John 3:14-18 says: “And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness [Num 21:4-9], even so must the Son of Man be lifted up [the cross], that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” NKJV

Let us now bow our hearts and take a moment to prepare for learning God’s Word, if there is any known sin in your life, this is the time to just cite it privately to God the Father with your thoughts directed towards Him. With your head bowed and your eyes closed, you have total privacy in your mind and soul:

NOTES

Unlike the bible study, these notes are not just for reading without watching the video. These notes are more designed to follow along during the sermon and to bring up the “hover pop-up scripture references;” if just hover doesn’t work, do a “control-left-click,” if that doesn’t work then look them up in your Bible) when the Pastor asks everyone to turn to that passage in their bibles.

Internet Church Service – December 12, 2021; As a Believer in Christ, it is vital that you have a balanced attack on the enemy.

Anytime we search for the truth about anything in life, the answers to what we are searching for are usually right in front of you; 2Pe 1:2-4; Eph 1:3-4; Jer 29:11-13.

1Jo 4:4 You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.

2Co 13:8 For we can do nothing against the truth, but {only} for the truth.

Whenever you are facing different situations that are difficult to handle, it is vital that you have a balanced attack on the enemy.

Pr 11:1 A false balance is an abomination to the Lord, but a just weight is His delight.

Balanced Attack — made up of certain doctrines and principles that will guarantee you will glorify the Lord with doctrine — the power of the Holy Spirit.

Gamaliel, a Pharisee and a teacher of the Law, respected by all the people stood up in the Council and gave orders to put the men outside for a short time.

Very few pulpits = teach upon the importance of the Word of God and the responsibility that all of us have as members of the spiritual body of our Lord Jesus Christ.

One of the most powerful weapons ever given to a believer, especially a new believer who needs to be edified by the stronger one.

2Pe 1:2-4, Peter tells us what to expect when we continually metabolize doctrine.

2Pe 1:2 Grace and peace be multiplied to you by means of epignosis knowledge (of God) and of Jesus our Lord;

Everything that we would ever need to glorify our Lord has already been given to us by getting to know Him, personally and intimately.

Peter says more in one verse than what he says in an entire chapter that was before us.

The apostle Peter emphasizes the basics of the spiritual life, including following the laws of Divine Establishment and how to handle unjust and unfair treatment.

2. Peter emphasizes the mystery doctrine of the C.A. with emphasis on the Royal Priesthood of the believer and also the eschatological dispensations are mentioned by Peter.

Eschatological dispensations refer to the doctrine of the end times.

“Dispensational Eschatology is the story of how God keeps his promises to Israel and the church when the end times arrives.”

One of the things that made Peter one of the most prominent apostles among the Twelve is that he recognized the wisdom of the apostle Paul.

The Apostle Paul was a master of the Mystery Doctrine of the Church-age which is the reason why Peter knew more about mystery doctrine than the other Ten apostles combined.

1Pe 1:2 — Peter comforts the believer with the Doctrine of Eternal Security with emphasis on the foreknowledge of God.

1Pe 1:2, Sanctifying work of the Spirit;

1Pe 1:4 — Escrow Blessings;

1Pe 1:20 foreknown before the foundation of the world.

1Pe 2:5 — A Holy Priesthood;

1Pe 2:9 — A Royal Priesthood;

1Pe 2:9 — A Holy Nation;

1Pe 3:18 – Christ died for sins once for all.

1Pe 3:18 Substitute – Just for unjust,

1Pe 3:18-22 — Angelic Conflict

1Pe 23:18 — Resurrection Life in Time.

1Pe 4:10 — Spiritual Gifts;

2Pe 1:2 — Metabolize Doctrine

2Pe 1:4 — Partakers of the Divine Nature;

2Pe 1:11 — Judgment Seat of Christ.

2Pe 1:12-21; Importance of Repetition;

2Pe 1:20-21 — Divine Inspiration.

2Pe 3:3 — Last days.

2Pe 3:3 — Mockers will come.

2Pe 3:4 –- Rapture.

Eph 1:3-4 – my second reference – Divine Decrees – before the foundation of the world.

Jer 29:11 = talk about seeking for the Lord in the natural realm as well as seeking Him in the spiritual realm.

The prophet Jeremiah was known for a lot of passages, principles, and verses that are still very popular today.

The prophet Jeremiah was a great student of the Word of God and filled with the wisdom of God through the spiritual metabolism – Old Testament.

Heb 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Hos 5:15 I will go away {and} return to My place Until they acknowledge their guilt and seek My face; In their affliction they will earnestly seek Me.

Rom 2:4 “Do you think lightly of the riches of His kindness and forbearance and patience, not knowing that the kindness of God (gentleness) leads you to repentance?”

There are many other doctrinal principles that come up in our study even though we have not planned to study them.

Prov 30:5 Every word of God is tested; He is a shield to those who take refuge in Him.

Psalm 18 – David spoke to the Lord the words of this song in the day that the Lord delivered him from the hand of all his enemies including King Saul.

1. David calls himself the servant of the Lord, who spoke to the Lord through the words of this Psalm or song; Psa 18:1.

2. The distinction that David makes between the hand of David’s enemies and the hand of Saul, Psa 18:1.

3. In this section of the Word of God, Saul desires to murder David because he is jealous of David’s popularity.

The ladies are singing little nursey rhymes about King Saul’s victory on the battlefield while David is playing both “Rambo” and “Rocky.”

1Sa 18:7 And the women sang as they played, and said, “Saul has slain his thousands, And David his ten thousands.”
