Hymn #1

Hymn #2

Preparing yourself for the study of God’s Word

Before we begin, only if you are a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ (that is; you have believed [trusted] in Him for His promised gift of eternal life) John 3:16, John 6:47 as a few examples; it is very important to prepare yourself to learn God's Word so the Holy Spirit can teach you as to what your reading or hearing is true or false. To be taught by the Holy Spirit you must be filled with the Holy Spirit which means abiding in Christ. To place yourself in fellowship with God the Holy Spirit [also called abiding in the Christ], take a moment to simply name, cite or acknowledge [confess] your known unconfessed sins privately to God (i.e.; with your thoughts directed only to God the Father). Why? Because you cannot grow spiritually if you’re not abiding in Christ [in fellowship with Him] when you take in bible truth.

1 John 1:9, says: “If we confess [meaning to simply name, cite or acknowledge to God the Father] our sins [known unconfessed sins], He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins [known sins] and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness [all unknown and forgotten sins];” NKJV (New King James Version); we call this REBOUND; read the full doctrine as to “why” we need to use 1 John 1:9 to grow spiritually. Left click the following link to learn more and fully understand the doctrine of Rebound; which answers the question, why do I need to keep confessing my sins all the time? REBOUND

If you have never personally believed in the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior (that is, believed in Him for eternal life), the issue for you is not to name your sins to God; the issue for you is to believe by faith alone in Jesus, The Christ alone for eternal life [salvation] and you will be saved [receive Eternal Life] the very micro second you believe in Him:

John 6:47 says: “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me [Jesus Christ] has everlasting life.” NKJV

Notice again what John 6:47 says, “he who believes in Me [Jesus Christ] has everlasting life.” It doesn’t say, “will have”; it says, “has.” Therefore, the very moment you believe Jesus Christ’s promise of everlasting life, you have it (it’s really just that simple), and it can never be lost or taken away from you (John 10:28-29). Furthermore, the gift of everlasting life (also called eternal life in scripture) is available to every human being; there are absolutely no exceptions.

John 3:14-18 says: “And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness [Num 21:4-9], even so must the Son of Man be lifted up [the cross], that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” NKJV

Let us now bow our hearts and take a moment to prepare for learning God’s Word, if there is any known sin in your life, this is the time to just cite it privately to God the Father with your thoughts directed towards Him. With your head bowed and your eyes closed, you have total privacy in your mind and soul:

NOTES

Unlike the bible study, these notes are not just for reading without watching the video. These notes are more designed to follow along during the sermon and to bring up the “hover pop-up scripture references;” if just hover doesn’t work, do a “control-left-click,” if that doesn’t work then look them up in your Bible) when the Pastor asks everyone to turn to that passage in their bibles.

Internet Church Service a October 10, 2021; Hakuna Matata is a wonderful phrase which means “no worries”

Hakuna matata = African Swahili phrase that literally means “There are no worries here.”

Jews Salutation = “Shalom” to each other, whether they are saying Hello or Good-bye, they use the same word (Shalom) which also includes the blessings of prosperity.

Hakuna Matata is a wonderful phrase which means “no worries” or “don’t worry, be happy, because everything is going to be alright.

Background = Our Lord Jesus and His disciples had concluded the meeting in the upper room in Jerusalem where they celebrated the Passover; Joh 14:3–31; 18:1.

They had just left the Passover Dinner and were making their way eastward toward the garden of Gethsemane situated on the western slope of the Mt. of Olives; Jn 14:31b; Jn 18:1.

They will need to learn the principle of Hakuna Matata, that wonderful African Swahili phrase which means “no worries” or “don’t worry, be happy, because everything is going to be alright.

1Jo 4:4b because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.

Rm 8:31b “If God {is} for us, who {is} against us?”

1Co 10:13 “God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able to bare , but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, that you may be able to endure it.

An idol can be almost anything or anyone that you placed on a pedestal to be honored, respected, as if the idol was deity or a god.

The Lord wants us to recognize the importance of having a positive attitude no matter where we are because at any moment a satanic lie can “sneak attack” against the believer.

It is vital to remain positive toward God and His plan rather than be concerned and negative because things don’t seem to be going our way.

Prin: Everything in your life has the potential to either be a blessing or a curse, it all depends upon your outlook in life especially when we are facing certain challenges.

Pr 23:7a For as he thinks within himself, so he is.

Notice Paul did not say just present just your soul and spirit, he also said to present your body.

“The Royal Family of God,” also called “The Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ” or “The Body of Christ.”

Mankind was prepared to receive God’s highest and best in spite of the fact that he was reprobate, and man has also been highly elevated in the Holy Mountains of Jehovah.

We learned how to rely totally on the Ministry of God the Holy Spirit, who is to make known to us the magnificent wisdom and the power of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

We see the value of being able, not just to choose, but also to have choices, which means there usually is more to choose from what our Lord has provided for man.

One of the major doctrinal privileges that we have in Jn 15:1-8, on the Vine and the branches is the subject of pruning.

In the richest, the fullest, the most fruitful lives are those that have been strengthened through the painful process of sufferings and tribulations. Bottom of Form

For God to prune Christians may simply refer to God shaping their lives in general to help them towards spiritual growth.

Given the analogy, pruning is about cutting away something from something.

Pruning is the process of cutting away anything that would hinder the believer’s spiritual growth.

One of the most important functions of pruning is to separate the live branches from the dead branches.

Pruning can come in many different ways because if we do not receive the spiritual pruning that is needed at the time, there is no way we will ever live the spiritual life that our Lord desires for us to live.

Prin: Pruning is the benefit of having our Lord do the changes needed in our life even if it hurts some, at the time.

In fact, what time is it? It is time to plant!

Dead branches need to be uprooted because unless you have removed the dead branches, certain problems that produce death will take all the strength that should go into the fruit not the dead branches.

God has assigned to you a number of days to live on this earth according to Psa 90:12; 31:15.

Psa 90:12 “Teach us to number our days, that we may present to Thee a heart of wisdom.”

Psa 31:15 “My times are in Thy hand.”

God has created you for His glory and until you believe that and then live for that purpose, you will never find true happiness and contentment in life.

The mature believer regards every day as the Lord’s day, Rm 14:5-6. time set aside for our relationship with Him.

The only time we possess to honor God in this life is the number of days He provides for us in the Christian life, Psa 90:12; Jm 4:13-15.

Jm 4:14 “Yet you do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. You are just a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away.”

Lam 3:22 23, “The Lord’s loving kindnesses indeed never cease, For His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; Great is Thy faithfulness.”

You can never get back the time that you lost or wasted…..it’s gone forever.

The Philosopher William James said, “The great use for one’s life is to spend it for something that will outlast it!”

God’s timing is perfect and if you are in fellowship with Him, you will have peace of mind with everything you do.

It says, a time to give birth because time begins at birth not in the womb.

You had nothing to say about your birth and that’s why your timing was perfect.

God created soul life and imputed it to your soul at your birth.

Don’t say you were born too late or too early or you would have been better off if you lived during another generation.

God is perfect, His ways are perfect, and you and I were born under the perfect timing of God!

If we complain about anything related to our birth or our environment, or our parents, or our home, we are blaspheming God.

Anyone who resents his parents or his early environment, no matter how bad or how good it was, is totally out of sync with life.

Every time you use your environment as an excuse for your bad habits or your bad decisions, you are so far out of line that you are disoriented to life!

All your bad habits and bad timing can only be corrected by believing in Christ and then taken in His word on a consistent basis.

Just like we had no control over our birth, we also have no control over our death, the Lord does the controlling of both of them, birth and death.

The point is that when we are born and when we die is a matter of the sovereignty of God or God’s judgment.

We will die in the manner and at the time that God selects.

Only our perception of what’s happening can be wrong, and that will be brought out in this passage.
