Scripture References, Word & Phrase descriptions: the “Logos Reftagger” scripture links are hover pop-up active, meaning the scripture reference will just pop-up if you hover your cursor over it (don’t click on the link, just hover your cursor over it), when finished reading, hover your cursor off the scripture reference link. If the Reftagger pop-up doesn’t show all the verses, left click on the “More” button in the Reftagger pop-up window and it will take you to the online bible. If RefTagger pop-ups don’t work on your computer, that’s OK, try right clicking the link then open in new tab or window; or if that doesn’t work, you can always use your Bible to look up the verses. Word or Phrase definition links may not have a website that opens.

Prepare yourself for learning the Word of God!

Before we begin, if you are a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ (that is; you have believed [trusted] in Him for His promised gift of eternal life), it is important to prepare yourself to learn God's Word so take a moment to name, cite or acknowledge (confess) your known unconfessed sins privately to God (i.e.; with your thoughts directed only to God the Father).

1 John 1:9 says: "If we confess our sins, He (God) is faithful and just to forgive us our sins (known sins) and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness [unknown or forgotten sins] ." NKJV (New King James Version) [italics added]; we call this REBOUND, read the full doctrine as to “why” we need to use 1 John 1:9 to grow spiritually. REBOUND

If you have never personally believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, that He is the Son of God, the promised Messiah, as your Savior (that is, believed in Him for eternal life), the issue for you is not to name your sins; the issue for you is to simply exercise faith alone in Jesus Christ alone for eternal life; when you do, you will instantly receive Eternal Life: John 3:16, 5:24, 6:47, 20:30, 31.

John 6:47 says: "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me [Jesus Christ] has everlasting life." NKJV [italics added]

Notice again what Jesus said in John 6:47: "…he who believes in Me (Jesus Christ) has everlasting life." It doesn't say, "will have"; it says, "has." Therefore, the very moment you believe in Jesus Christ for His promise of everlasting life, you have it (it's really just that simple; nothing more and nothing less), and it can never be taken away from you (John 10:28-29). Furthermore, the gift (Ephesians 2:8c) of everlasting life (also called eternal life in scripture) is available to every human being; there are absolutely no exceptions.

John 3:14-15, 16, 17, 18, says: "14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 15 that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. 18 He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." NKJV

Let us now bow our hearts and take a moment to prepare for worship and learning God's Word. If there is any known sin in your life, this is the time to just cite it privately to God the Father with your thoughts directed towards Him. With your head bowed and your eyes closed, you have total privacy in your mind and soul:

Study to show yourself approved to God!

STUDY TITLE:

The Theological meaning of an anthropomorphism as well as an anthropopathism.

John 15:1-8, “I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every {branch} that bears fruit, He prunes it, that it may bear more fruit. You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.

Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, so neither {can} you, unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me, and I in him, he bears much fruit; for apart from Me you can do nothing.

If anyone does not abide in Me, he is thrown away as a branch, and dries up; and they gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it shall be done for you. By this is My Father glorified, that you bear much fruit, and {so} prove to be My disciples.

As we begin this new year, we are ready to continue our study on the Doctrine of Dispensations as we are still noting the one dispensation that changed human history forever…and that is the Dispensation of the Hypostatic-union.

What a great way to usher in the new year 2020 with some of the principles that we noted during the last year concerning the place of numerology and some of the hidden mysteries that are found in the Word of GOD.

20/20 is a phrase that most of us have heard at some time or another which basically deals with our physical eyesight though it can also refer to our spiritual eyesight and doctrinal perception.

Most of you need an understanding of what is called Theologically an anthropomorphism as well as an anthropopathism.

Therefore, we begin with two definitions as we continue. Those two words or doctrines and their definitions are very vital for us to understand.

Anthropopathism – A word used to ascribe a human thought or emotion to GOD a characteristic that HE does not actually possess, and one that is not actually a Divine attribute.

The purpose of an anthropopathism is to explain a divine policy to man in terms of man’s frame of reference as far as the emotions, fear, anger, worry, and even more that apply a human emotion.

Anthropomorphism – A word used to ascribe to GOD certain parts of human anatomy that HE does not actually possess, but to use it as a form of typology to illustrate certain parts of the human body to express the love and unity of GOD with man. The word anthropomorphism comes from two Greek words, anthropos, meaning “man,” and morphe, meaning “form.”

Look at John 10:27-28, “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; and I give eternal life to them, and they shall never perish; and no one shall snatch them out of My hand.”

In Theological terms, anthropomorphisms use certain parts of the human body, such as the eyes, the ears, the hands, even the physical heart of man to describe the function of the Lord in the spiritual realm. In other words, anthropomorphisms are used for God acting on behalf of man and using the functions of those human parts to live the spiritual life that God has called us to live. It is the process of assigning human characteristics to God.

Human traits and actions such as talking, holding, reaching, feeling, hearing, and the like, all of which are chronicled throughout both the Old and New Testaments, are ascribed to the Creator. Under this principle we need to know and learn how our Lord uses anthropomorphisms and anthropopathism’s.

Deut 33:27, “The eternal God is a dwelling place, And underneath are the everlasting arms; And He drove out the enemy from before you, And said, ‘Destroy!’”

You know, I really hope that all of you will develop a 20/20 attitude as you are seeing things clearly and perceiving things from the divine viewpoint. When you think of the coming New Year, 2020, I want you think of perceiving with your spiritual eyes 20/20.

Matt 6:19-24, “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal; for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

The lamp of the body is the eye; if therefore your eye is clear, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!

No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will hold to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.”

Let me illustrate this principle by giving you one of the most misunderstood anthropomorphisms that we have throughout the Word of God. In fact, this is anthropomorphism is used in the Bible more than any other anthropomorphism. The anthropomorphism that is used throughout the Word of God and it is used especially for salvation and spiritual growth.

Years ago that I did a study on how many times the word heart is used in the Word of God and I believe that I gave hundreds of times that the word heart is used as an anthropomorphism. Added to this, there is the individual who lives in their emotions and feelings as they pound on their chest and tell you that they love God and others with all their heart.

However, there were just two instances that I could find in the Word of God where the literal heart was used, and even then it could mean the spiritual heart. It’s interesting that the word “heart” is used over one thousand times in the word of God both by the Hebrew and the Greek noun kardia, making it the most common anthropological term in the Scripture.

Anthropological refers to the study of the human body and the different functions of each part of the physical body. Throughout the word of God, the word heart has more references and applications than any other part of the human body.

The spiritual heart is used to reveal a person’s true nature and it is the ultimate gift that man can give to God.

Prov 2:10, For wisdom will enter your heart, And knowledge will be pleasant to your soul;

Prov 4:23, Watch over your heart with all diligence, For from it flow the springs of life.

Prov 23:26, Give me your heart, my son, And let your eyes delight in my ways.

The “Heart” occurs over one thousand times in the Bible, making it the most common anthropological term in the Scripture. It denotes a person’s center for both physical and emotional-intellectual-moral activities; sometimes it is used figuratively for any inaccessible thing. The point is that we should always look at the word heart in the Bible as a system of thinking having nothing to do with our feelings or emotions and everything to do with our thinking and our thoughts.

Let me illustrate how the Apostle Paul used anthropopathism’s and anthropomorphism to the believers in Ephesus when he said such things as in Eph 1:18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened.

Notice that this has nothing to do with the physical eyes or the physical heart but it has to do with the spiritual eyes and the spiritual heart or soul perception. One of the functions of the heart is to protect the souls of believers from being discourage or worn out which is one of the many reasons given in Eph 3:13, Therefore I ask you not to lose heart at my tribulations on your behalf, for they are your glory.

You see, we read of God’s actions, emotions, and appearance in human terms, or at least in words we normally accept and associate with humans.

For example, in Lev 20:6, God is said to have a face even though God doesn’t have a face, only the humanity of Jesus Christ has a face and He was not even born at that time. We know that the entire Trinity does not have a face, only the humanity or the human body of our Lord Jesus Christ has a literal face as John 4:24 states; “God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”

Deut 11:12, a land for which the Lord your God cares; the eyes of the Lord your God are always on it, from the beginning even to the end of the year.

Do these verses mean that God literally has eyes, a face, hands and feet?

No!

God is spirit, not flesh and blood, but because we are not spirit, these anthropomorphisms help us to understand God’s nature and actions. With this I must add one more doctrinal principle to complete the new year with the new messages that are about to come.

Like parts of the human anatomy, human emotions are also ascribed to God as anthropopathism’s.

God felt sorry; Gen 6:6. God gets jealous; Exo 20:5. God is moved by pity or compassion; Jdg 2:18. God is grieved over making Saul Israel’s first king; 1sa 15:35. The Lord changed His mind Exo 32:14.

And one of the misunderstood passages in the entire Bible is the anthropopathism behind Rom 9:13, where our Lord said “Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated.”

Anthropomorphisms can be helpful in enabling us to at least partially comprehend the incomprehensible, know the unknowable, and fathom the unfathomable. But God is God, and we are not, and all of our human expressions are intrinsically inadequate in explaining fully and properly the divine. But human words, emotions, features, and knowledge are all that our Creator provided us, so these are all that we can understand in this earthly world at this time. My whole point of bringing you this introduction to the New Year 20-20 is so that I can remind you that the word Dispensation refers to both the “divine outline” and the “divine interpretation” of human history by which believers living at a specific time in history can orient to God’s will, plan, and purpose for their lives.

How?

Once again, the answer to that is two-fold:

After salvation, the most important decision that a believer makes in life is in the selection of their right-pastor-teacher.

Divine Discipline.

Perhaps the most important decisions an individual makes after salvation is in the selection of their own pastor-teacher that God the Holy Spirit assigned them to; 1Pe 5:5; Acts 20:35.

I know that there will be many believers who disagree with that because they think that it is much more important for you to marry the right person than it is to choose the right pastor-teacher. If that is how you think, you have every right to make whatever choice you decide.

Preparing yourself for the study of God’s Word

Before we begin, if you are a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ (that is— you have trusted in Him for eternal life), it is important to prepare yourself to take-in God’s Word or participating in a Communion Service, so take a moment to name, cite or acknowledge your sins privately directly to God the Father. This will assure that you are in fellowship with God the Father and the Holy Spirit’s convicting ministry, also called the convincing ministry will then be able to teach you as the Holy Spirit is the real teacher and the pastor’s message is the vehicle the Holy Spirit uses to convince you what you are learning is true or not.

1 John 1:9, says—“If we confess (simply name, cite or acknowledge to God the Father] our sins [known sins], He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins [known sins] and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness [all unknown and forgotten sins];” NKJV (New King James Version); we call this REBOUND, read the full doctrine as to “why” we need to use 1 John 1:9 to grow spiritually. If you have never personally believed in the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior (that is, believed in Him for eternal life>), the issue for you is not to name your sins to God; the issue for you is to believe by faith alone in Jesus Christ alone for eternal life and you will be saved the very second you believe in Him:

John 6:47 says: “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me [Jesus Christ] has everlasting life.” NKJV

Notice again what John 6:47 says, “he who believes in Me [Jesus Christ] has everlasting life.” It doesn’t say, “will have”; it says, “has.” Therefore, the very moment you believe Jesus Christ’s promise of everlasting life, you have it (it’s really just that simple), and it can never be lost or taken away from you (John 10:28-29). Furthermore, the gift of everlasting life (also called eternal life in scripture) is available to every human being; there are absolutely no exceptions.

Let us now bow our hearts and take a moment to prepare for learning God’s Word, if there is any known sin in your life, this is the time to just cite it privately to God the Father with your thoughts directed towards Him. NOTES

Unlike the bible study, these notes are not just for reading without watching the video. These notes are more designed to follow along during the sermon and to bring up the “hover pop-up scripture references” (some websites may require to left click the link, if that doesn’t work then look them up in your Bible) when the Pastor asks everyone to turn to that passage in their bibles.

Sermon: The devil’s Ace Trump is religion; tradition; works; guilt; condemnation; self-righteousness; fear; worry; doubt; legalism, etc.

One of the most powerful enemies that our Lord had to face continually was the power of religion that came from the Scribes, the Sadducees and the Pharisees.

1. They were users of people.

2. They were lusters after money.

3. They were turning against our Lord.

The very ones that He loved hated Him because He exposed their hypocrisy and revealed their envy and jealousy against our Lord and His disciples.

The teachings that our Lord taught dealt with the religious leaders who were judgmental and critical toward others while they themselves were guilty of the very same thing they jugged others for.

Here lies the epitome or the quintessence of arrogance and the double standard of the carnal or self-righteous believer who accuses others for doing the same thing that they do themselves; Rom 2:1.

Country Western Song called “Before you accuse me, take a look at yourself”

Our Lord and the apostle Paul dealt with the religious leaders in their day who would do whatever they needed to do or wanted to do, as it relates to promoting the creature above the Creator.

1. Rebound and Recovery, 1Jo 1:9; Eph 4:23.

2. The Filling of the Holy Spirit; Eph 5:18.

3. The Faith Rest life; Heb 4:1-5.

4. Grace orientation; Eph 2:8; Col 2:6.

5. Doctrinal orientation; Heb 4:12.

6. A Personal Sense of Destiny; Eph 1:3-4.

7. Personal love for God the Father.

8. Impersonal unconditional love for all mankind.

9. Contentment and Perfect Happiness (+H).

10. The ultimate PSD [problem solving device] = Occupation with the Lord [Christ].

PSD #11. I’m sorry.

12. Yeah but.

13. I don’t know.

14. I don’t care.

15. Whatever.

16. Work out your own salvation, etc.

When it comes to the glory of God, on the one hand, we go through undeserved blessing, and on the other hand, we go through undeserved suffering.

There are many times that we need to apply the correct doctrine so that we can make the correct application.

We must go through prosperity as a blessing as well as prosperity as a curse or as a manifestation of divine discipline which is from the Love of God ; Phil 4:8-13.

Because God is well-pleased with us, He desires for us to enjoy the tremendous blessings that He has provided just for us in time and in eternity.

Listen to what the Holy Spirit is saying to the church especially to you personally concerning your calling and your spiritual gift.

Is there a God?

Is there a devil.

What is the Angelic Conflict?

Why am I here?

What does God expect from me?

Why is there Suffering?

Why are there Two Kingdoms?

Where did these come from?

Why the Church?

After salvation; What?

Matt 23:3 = false religious leaders tell you what to do and observe, but “they do not do according to their deeds; for they say things, and do not do them.”

In Matt 23:4, They tie up heavy loads of guilt and condemnation and they lay them on men’s shoulders; but they are unwilling to move them with so much as a finger.

They would put a burden on others though they would not do it themselves.

In Matt 23:5, They do all their deeds to be noticed by men; for they broaden their phylacteries, and lengthen the tassels of their garments.

In Matt 23:6, They love the place of honor at banquets, and the chief seats in in the synagogues,

In Matt 23:7, they demand respectful greetings to them in the marketplaces, and love being called by title such as Rabbi!

In Matt 23:13, The Lord said that they were hypocrites and they shut off the kingdom of heaven from men; and do not enter in themselves.

In Matt 23:14, the Lord says that they devour widows’ houses and pray and pretend to make long prayers because God is pleased with them…..so they think.

In Matt 23:15, they are hypocrites who travel thousands of miles by sea to make one proselyte or one individual to be just like them.

In Matt 23:25, they are Pharisees and hypocrites who clean the outside of the cup and of the dish, but inside they are full of robbery and self indulgence.

In Matt 23:27, these hypocrites are said to be like whitewashed tombs which on the outside appear beautiful, but inside they are full of dead men’s bones and all uncleanness.

In Matt 23:28, they outwardly appear righteous to men, but inwardly they are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.

They smile in your face;

And all the time they want to take your place;

The back stabbers.

They are not worthy of our attention, because of 1Pe 3:15, we must always be ready to defend our faith and use our faith to bring glory to our Lord.

Smiling Faces sometimes pretend to be your friend.

Smiling faces show no traces of the evil that lurks within.

Smiling faces, sometimes they don’t tell the truth.

Smiling faces, tell lies and I got proof.

A smile is just a frown turned upside down my friend.

Smiling Faces, sometimes they don’t tell the truth.

Smiling Faces tell lies and I got proof.

Beware of the handshake that hides the snake.

Beware of the pat on the back it just might hold you back.

As David said, Your enemy won’t do you no harm, because you’ll know where he’s coming from.

Don’t let the handshake and the smile fool you. Take my advice I’m only trying to school you.

They seem to be loving, when in reality the only love they have is truly love for themselves.

2Ti 3:1-2b But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant,

We begin in John 15:1, when our Lord and His disciples were learning together the doctrine of the Vine and the Branches as they were all walking together to the Garden of Gethsemane.

Here is the beginning of one of the most important doctrines that our Lord taught His disciples and that is the doctrine of the Vine and the Branches as it relates to the Doctrine of the Baptism of the Spirit.

We start with the function of the vinedresser metaphor because it reveals and refers to God the Father as the author of the Plan of God for every Dispensation.

All Three members of the Trinity have a part in human history and because of the attributes of God, especially His justice and righteousness.

God the Father = The Author of the plan. God the Son = The Executor of the plan. God the Holy Spirit = The Revealer of the plan.

The True Vine metaphor refers to the humanity of Jesus Christ during the dispensation of the Hypostatic Union.

Fruit through the branch is a metaphor for the Church-age believer bearing the fruit of the Spirit in the midst of the devil’s playground in the cosmic system.

No fruit or production can be any better than the vine which produces it.

Positional Sanctification we are placed in union with Christ, plus the grace provision of the three spiritual skills, it is possible for the believer to manufacture productive righteousness.

Positional Sanctification = reveals the positional truth of the believers in the Church-age.

The grace provision of the three spiritual skills are exactly the Word, the power, and the plan.

The Three Spiritual skills are: The Word (Heb 4:12). The Power (Act 1:8; Eph 5:18; Gal 5:16). The Plan (PPOG for the Church-age).

The grace provision of the three spiritual skills – reveals the Word, the power, and the plan.

Productive righteousness — reveals the good works that believers can produce through the righteousness of God and the filling of the Spirit.

Although these are three vital doctrines, we also need to have the humility to perceive, metabolize and apply those doctrines.

The vine metaphor emphasizes the fact that all precedence and all productive righteousness in the Church-age comes from the vine – our Lord Jesus Christ.

John 15:2 “Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes it, that it may bear more fruit.”

John 15:2 “Every branch [believer] in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away [that is He disciplines]; and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes [suffering for blessing], that it may bear more fruit.”

In John 15:2 “Every branch [believer] in Me”

“in Me” is a reference to the believer in union with Christ.

The disciples are being taught the doctrine of the Baptism of the Spirit just as we all have been taught that we are also the branches in union with the vine, Jesus Christ.

1. Dead branches representing dead works, or production skills minus spiritual skills;

2. Live branches representing productive righteousness, or spiritual skills as the basis for production skills.

The branch in Christ that does not bear fruit refers to the believer who does not reveal productive righteousness.

Dead works is not fruit-bearing and is punishable.

What you are saying to the Lord is “I will do what I want to, not what you tell me to do, Lord!”

Out of the night that covers me, Black as the pit from pole to pole;

I thank whatever gods may be For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance I have not winced nor cried aloud.

Under the bludgeoning’s of chance My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears Looms but the Horror of the shade

And yet the menace of the years Finds and shall find me unafraid.

Why? You may ask…..here’s why!

It matters not how strait the gate,

How charged with punishments the scroll,

I am the master of my fate,

I am the captain of my soul.

They smile in your face;

And all the time they want to take your place;

1. Dead branches representing dead works, or production skills minus spiritual skills;

Out of the night that covers me, Black as the pit from pole to pole;

Be who you are in Christ: Royalty!

Most of you realize that we are living in one of the greatest periods f dispensations for all time, and that is our dispensation, the Church-age. And I would like to begin this evening with the definition of a dispensation. A dispensation that we call the Dispensation [or literally, the period of time] of the Church-age with its mystery doctrine as the commands from headquarters in Heaven. Remember, as believers we are in union with the LORD Jesus Christ who is seated at the right hand of GOD the Father as a manifestation of one of the greatest doctrines known to man in this Church-age. This is called the Doctrine of the Session (promote RMBM Term Book).

It’s important for the student of the Word of GOD or those who are disciples of our LORD to always do their best to study the Doctrine of the Ascension with the Doctrine of the Session, whenever they are needed. The ascension refers to our LORD rising from the earth as HE says good-bye for now, and then ascended into Heaven with Michael the archangel following His resurrection and His position at the right hand of the Father. The ascension is the doctrine of Christology that pertains to the transfer of our LORD’s true humanity from planet earth to the third Heaven in a resurrection body. There are two Christological dispensations which means that the LORD Jesus Christ is the center of two different dispensations; HIS Hypostatic – union and the Church-age. Both the ascension and session of Christ occurred in HIS resurrection body. HIS was the first resurrection in all of human history.

If Christ remained on earth, HE would have a limited glory, but when HE went to the third Heaven and being superior to all creation, HE therefore had unlimited glory. As a result of the resurrection of our LORD’s humanity, He remained on earth for forty days before His ascension. The ascension of Jesus Christ occurred on day forty in HIS resurrection body. The ascension of Christ also demonstrates the vertical travel of the resurrection body, moving with ease through the atmosphere of the earth. The galaxies of stellar universe, and the billions and billions of light years in an instant, and entering into the third heaven, the abode of GOD. Upon arrival in the third Heaven, our LORD was seated at the right hand of GOD the Father; this is the doctrine of the Session. Then He received His third royal title; “King of kings, LORD of LORDs, the Bright Morning Star.”

Because our LORD’s third royal title, He had no accompanying royal family, the Church-age was inserted for the calling out of a royal family. This is why this doctrine of ascension and session is the missing link between the resurrection of Christ and the Christian way of life. Something new had to be created to accompany this new third royalty of Jesus Christ, a new royal family. HIS new royalty had to be a new spiritual species, as per 2Co 5:17.

Therefore, the dispensation of Israel was interrupted seven years short of its completion. Then the omnipotence of the Father and of the Spirit was made available to believers. The Day of Pentecost is the day the Royal Family began with the baptism of the Holy Spirit, the first day of the Church-age.

So, the chronology of events is as follows:

Resurrection;

Forty days on the earth;

Ascension ten days before the Church-age began;

HE is seated at the right hand of the Father.

Prin: Both the ascension and session of Christ were accomplished in HIS resurrection body. Though coequal and coeternal with GOD, it was the true humanity of Christ that was seated at the right hand of the Father. These two doctrines of ascension and session combine to form the climax of the strategic victory of Christ in the Angelic Conflict.

Now, back in John 15, one of the most powerful passages on being in union with our LORD Jesus Christ is found in John 15:2, where our LORD said; “Every branch in Me” that does not bear fruit, He takes away;

Notice, first of all, John 15:4, “Abide in Me, and I in you.” In John 15:5, “I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me, and I in him,

Now look at Rom 5:19-20 where we can see if we can make the appropriate decision to believe in the LORD Jesus Christ; For as through the one man’s disobedience [Adam’s original sin of eating from the forbidden tree of the knowledge of good and evil] the many [human race] were made sinners [from Adam’s original sin], even so through the obedience of the One [our LORD Jesus Christ] the many [members of the human race who respond to the Gospel] will be made righteous [positionally and eternally]. And the Law came in that the transgression might increase; but where sin [that is the old sin nature] increased, grace abounded all the more,

How did grace abound?

Here’s how! Rom 5:21-6:4, that, as sin [the sin nature] reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our LORD. What shall we say then?

Are we to continue in sin [that is with the sin nature] that grace might increase? May it never be! How shall we who died to sin [that is to the sin nature] still live in it? Or [here’s that phrase again] do you not know that all of us who have been baptized [spiritually] into Christ Jesus have been baptized or identified into His death?

Therefore, we have been buried with Him through baptism (identification) into death, in order that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk.

Now, here comes an important phrase that the Apostle Paul calls: “kainotes zoe” which is translated: newness of life. It is made up of two Greek nouns. the noun for newness which is ‎kainotes (kahee-not’-ace) referring to something brand new not something fixed or repaired but something that is brand new – it is a brand-new life.

Next, we have the Greek noun for life or living in the newness of life which is the noun zoe referring to life more abundantly especially in times of trouble.

Rom 6:5-9, “For if we have become united (baptized or in union) with Him in the likeness of His death (that is His spiritual death or separation from GOD), certainly, we shall be also {in the likeness or in union with His resurrection. knowing that our old self [OSN] was crucified with Him, [again because of our union with HIM] that our body of sin [the entire body of the sin nature with its trend toward sin, evil, and creature credit] might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin; or to the old sin nature. for he who has died [or has been separated from GOD spiritually] is freed from sin. Or freed from the bondage of the old sin nature. Now if we have died with Christ, [and we have in union with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection] we believe that we shall also live with Him. knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, is never to die again; death no longer is master over Him.”

The word for knowing is the perfect active participle of the Greek verb eido which means to know, to find, to see, to perceive, to perceive universally, to notice, discern, or discover.

Rom 6:10-12, For the death that He died [spiritually and separately] to sin [OSN], once for all [unlimited atonement]; but the life that He lives [that is the Zoe life], He lives to GOD. Even so consider yourselves [all of us] to be dead to the sin nature, but alive to GOD in Christ Jesus. Therefore, do not let sin [OSN] reign or rule in your mortal body that you should obey its lusts,

Look back at Rom 6:4 again; Therefore, we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, in order that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk.

1. How was Christ raised from the dead through the glory of GOD the Father?

2. Through Divine power.

Notice we are to walk in “newness of our life” not oldness but “newness” of life.

1. What is this “newness of life”?

A. It is the life of the New Creature who especially feeds on the word of GOD as manna. We are to realize “what” we are and “who” we are as New Creatures or as New Species. So, there are times that we need to remind ourselves of who we are!

2. Who are you?

3. You are the child of a King; Matt 6:10; Matt 5:20.

4. You are a member of the Royal Family of GOD; 1Pe 2:5-9.

1Pe 2:4-10, And coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected by men, but choice and precious in the sight of GOD, you also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house (MD) for a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to GOD through Jesus Christ.

For {this} is contained in Scripture: “Behold I lay in Zion a choice stone, a precious corner stone, and he who believes in Him shall not be disappointed or ashamed. This precious value, then, is for you who believe.

But for those who disbelieve, “The stone which the builders rejected, this became the very cornerstone. A stone of stumbling and a rock of offense”; for they stumble because they are disobedient to the word, and to this {doom} they were also appointed. But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for GOD’s own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; for you once were not a people, but now you are the people of GOD; you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.

You are the body of Christ; 1Co 12:4-31;

You are the future bride of Christ;

You are a Royal Priest of Christ;

You are a royal ambassador;

You are an heir to the throne;

You are a king.

So be who you are!

Be what you are!

STUDY TITLE:

Christmas Message

One of the most popular questions that many believers have during the Christmas Holiday is the question; What do you get for the one individual who has everything? After all, December 25 has been celebrated as a day of Deity in many other of cults. I have asked you this question before: Is there anything that you know that our LORD loves and desires, that HE cannot get right now?

We know that every day we are given natural and spiritual logistics as soldiers for our LORD Jesus Christ Who, as Jehovah Jireh, (meaning the LORD Who provides) always provides more than enough for all.

Why?

This is something very vital and important and why our LORD taught those disciples what to expect once they begin carrying our LORD’s Word, which most Jews reject.

First of all, John 3:15-18, that whoever believes may in Him have eternal life. For GOD so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. For GOD did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through Him. He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of GOD.

Here’s the main verse, short but powerful. John 3:30-32, He must increase, but I must decrease. He who comes from above is above all, he who is of the earth is from the earth and speaks of the earth. He who comes from heaven is above all. What He has seen and heard, of that He bears witness; and no man receives His witness.

Our LORD always provided whatever His earthly army would need so that they were not preoccupied and therefore ignoring our LORD. Solders must win without compromise. When you began on the road to spiritual self-esteem, there were many different situations that Satan and the kingdom of darkness were becoming aware of. Because of that they began to prepare his demons and fallen angels to handle the satanic attacks that will come our way. Everything that HIS spiritual army would ever need concerning the details of life and the spiritual life (Matt 6:34; Phil 1:2).

You have the power and the ability to give a present to our LORD or to fulfill certain desires with certain gifts that may be are in our reach. Then why should Jesus’ birthday be any different? Christmas is not a time where the people of GOD should quarrel about what day our LORD was born. Most of us realize that December 25 is not the exact date when our LORD was born, it is just a date that Christians would see and celebrate our LORD’s birth.

Why?

First of all, because, for thousands of years before Christians claimed ownership of December 25th, it was a Pagan holiday celebrating the birth of the Sun GOD “Sol Invictus.” This festival concluded their annual winter festival of Saturnalia which was also a period of general merrymaking, wild parties, etc. On 25 December AD 274, the Roman Emperor Aurelian made it an official cult alongside the traditional Roman cults. And so, Christmas is another distraction to attack the believer in Christ because their LORD has been rejected.

What we should be celebrating is a birthday that was prophesied by the prophet Isaiah in Isa 7:14 who wrote: Therefore the LORD Himself will give you a sign: Behold, a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call His name Immanuel [GOD with us]. Notice the difference, we have Immanuel or GOD “with us” which is the prophecy of the Virgin Birth in the OT. On the other hand, Immanuel is “GOD in us” as a NT manifestation of the Shekinah Glory from the OT. So, why don’t we give Jesus some gifts for HIS birthday? It’s weird,” you say, because we can’t see Him, can we?

Well, listen to what the apostle Peter says in 1Pe 1:8, and though you have not seen Him, you love Him, and though you do not see Him now, but believe in Him, you greatly rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, Of course, HE’s not physically here to open any of our gifts and what in the world would we get HIM anyway? What do you get when the universe is HIS? If you believe what the apostle Paul said, then there are a lot of gift possibilities that our LORD would be delighted to get for HIS birthday. The most obvious answer as to what we should get for our LORD’s birthday is “Something WE buy; Prov 23:23.

You all have Time, Talent or Treasure, and a spiritual gift. PRO 23:23 says: Buy truth, and do not sell {it,} {Get} wisdom and instruction and understanding. Our LORD knows you heart and what you think about being in the presence of the people of GOD. Psa 133:1, Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together in unity! That’s a great birthday for our LORD because in Luk 19:10 “For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.”

Because of that our LORD says John 15:13 “Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.” There are plenty of gifts you could give for free, but you will find in many of those cases, they’re even more costly than something you could purchase. – Such as reconciliation. One of the most popular passages upon the principle of giving at the First Christmas is John 3:16 where we read; “For GOD so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.

Matt 10:1, And having summoned His twelve disciples, He gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal every kind of disease and every kind of sickness.
