Hymn #1

Hymn #2

Preparing yourself for the study of God’s Word

Before we begin, if you are a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ (that is— you have trusted in Him for eternal life), it is important to prepare yourself to take-in God’s Word or participating in a Communion Service, so take a moment to name, cite or acknowledge your sins privately directly to God the Father. This will assure that you are in fellowship with God the Father and the Holy Spirit’s convicting ministry, also called the convincing ministry will then be able to teach you as the Holy Spirit is the real teacher and the pastor’s message is the vehicle the Holy Spirit uses to convince you what you are learning is true or not.

1 John 1:9, says—“If we confess [simply name, cite or acknowledge to God the Father] our sins [known sins], He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins [known sins] and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness [all unknown and forgotten sins];” NKJV (New King James Version); we call this REBOUND, read the full doctrine as to “why” we need to use 1 John 1:9 to grow spiritually. REBOUND

If you have never personally believed in the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior (that is, believed in Him for eternal life), the issue for you is not to name your sins to God; the issue for you is to believe by faith alone in Jesus Christ alone for eternal life and you will be saved the very second you believe in Him:

John 6:47 says: “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me [Jesus Christ] has everlasting life.” NKJV

Notice again what John 6:47 says, “he who believes in Me [Jesus Christ] has everlasting life.” It doesn’t say, “will have”; it says, “has.” Therefore, the very moment you believe Jesus Christ’s promise of everlasting life, you have it (it’s really just that simple), and it can never be lost or taken away from you (John 10:28-29). Furthermore, the gift of everlasting life (also called eternal life in scripture) is available to every human being; there are absolutely no exceptions.

John 3:14-18 says: “And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” NKJV

Let us now bow our hearts and take a moment to prepare for learning God’s Word, if there is any known sin in your life, this is the time to just cite it privately to God the Father with your thoughts directed towards Him. With your head bowed and your eyes closed, you have total privacy in your mind and soul:

NOTES
Unlike the bible study, these notes are not just for reading without watching the video. These notes are more designed to follow along during the sermon and to bring up the “hover pop-up scripture references” (some websites may require to left click the link, if that doesn’t work then look them up in your Bible) when the Pastor asks everyone to turn to that passage in their bibles.

Sermon: We are told to live our life as though our Lord was coming back at any time.

Our Bridegroom is waiting for God the Father to tell Him to go and get His Bride and bring all of them back with Him to Heaven to meet His bride and then take her away.

Our Lord had to prepare His disciples to prepare them to always be ready and live their life in light of the fact that what He says will happen — will happen in the last days when our Lord comes back.

We are told to live our life as though our Lord was coming back at any time. Imminence

Col 2:6 “As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, which was by grace through faith, then we are told to walk in Him.”

The questions we should have are questions that answer how do we grow.

Gal 5:16 “But I say, walk by means of the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh.”

“to walk by means of the Spirit” = in the original language of the Koine Greek is an instrumental dative of advantage which says “it is to our benefit or our advantage” to walk by means of the Holy Spirit.”

One of the best advantages of “walking by means of the Spirit is in the noun pneuma translated literally “by means of the Spirit you will not carry out the desire of the flesh.”

The word desire is the Greek noun epithyumia which is in the singular because it points to the entire old sin nature.

Whether the weak part of the OSN or the strong part of the old sin nature, the desire is for the entire old sin nature to rule and control the soul of the believer.

Gal 5:16 walking by means of the Spirit is contrasted with carrying out the desires of the flesh so that there is obviously a battle within all of us going on.

It is going to be the Holy Spirit versus the sin nature; Gal 5:14-18.

Spiritual cannibalism = refers to believers consuming one another or devouring one another by the sins of the tongue especially judging, criticism or speaking evil about others.

This includes believers speaking evil of believers and unbelievers which is far worse than any sin the unbelievers can commit, with the exception of the sin of unbelief.

Matt 25:40 “And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, {even} the least {of them,} you did it to Me.”

We will start in Acts 7 to give you some insight and some background to our passage in Acts 9:1-5.

This is a passage that reveals that one of the ways that our Lord revealed the Word of God in the Old Testament to His believers which was to use Elect Angels to bring forth the Law as ordained by angels.

“cut to the quick” literally means cut through the dead, unfeeling hearts because the people of God had lost their love for the Word of God.

This is also taught in Acts 22:1-11.

There are many times when we are told that to attack another believer is to attack the Lord Himself.

Although this is a part of the Royal Family honor code, this passage is also needed to handle how to receive one anothe.

Kenneth Wuest – Rom 14:1 Now accept the one who is weak in faith, {but} not for {the purpose of} passing judgment on his opinions.

We are not to receive other believers with the purpose of changing them into our doctrinal beliefs but instead give them the room to grow.

In Gal 2:20 = the Christian life which is said to be lived by faith is contrasted with the Galatian attempt to live the Christian life by means of the flesh as is stated in Gal 3:3.

The Stereo Type Christian also allows his old sin nature to rule his soul as a counterfeit spiritual nature which produces pseudo-spirituality.

By pseudo spirituality, I am referring to the carnal believer or the Stereo Type Christian.

1. The Stereo type Christian is a believer filled with the mental attitude of fear, worry, anxiety, and bitterness; Heb 12:15.

2. The stereo type Christian is filled with fear, which includes worry and anxiety.

3. The Stereo type Christian is also filled with hatred, which includes anger, even violence.

The Lord describes the normal lifestyle of The Stereo Type Christian when He said; Matt 7:1 “Do not judge lest you be judged.”

4. This means that The Stereo type can murder either mentally or physically; 1Jo 3:15.

5. The Stereo type Christian loves to feel sorry for themselves and fall into sins related to self-pity or sins related to guilt. (Like Jonah; Elijah).

6. The Stereo type Christian activism include arrogance, pride, jealousy, implacability, bitterness, vindictiveness, inordinate ambition and inordinate competition, all motivational sins, and sinful thoughts.

7. The Stereo type Christian is filled with verbal sins which include gossip, maligning, slander, judging, lying, and verbal deception.

8. The Stereo Type Christian often gets involved with partying and usually their sins include chemical sins, sexual sins, criminal sins.

9. Will you be influenced by doctrine and testify of TLJC or will you be influenced by evil and become “a disciple of the devil” or what I like to call “The stereo-type Christian.”

10. Doctrine always exposes the plastic pseudo-stereo type Christian who lacks individuality and lays prey for the popular evangelists.

11. The stereo type Christian is someone who personally has believed in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

12. The stereo type Christian is totally ignorant of God’s plan even though he is a member of the Royal Family of God, he doesn’t know what to do.

13. The Stereo Type Christian substitutes what he assumes or feels must be God’s plan for his life.

14. The Stereo Type Christian concludes that the goal of the Christian life and spirituality is living moral.

15. The Stereo Type Christian assumes that the key to the Christian life is a sweet personality.

16. All this is because The Stereo-type Christian has no idea or concept about the plan of God.

No idea of the Angelic Conflict. No idea of the why there is Sin, Satan, and Suffering.

No idea of the Hypostatic Union and what undiminished deity and true humanity means concerning the Lord Jesus Christ.

No idea of the Church-age. No idea of Mystery Doctrine.

No idea of the Total depravity of all mankind. No idea of how to communicate the Gospel properly.

The only real measuring stick that we have is how many believers fulfill Matt 5:13-14, as salt of the earth and lights to the world.

1. The Stereo Type Christian attends church at least once a week.

2. The Stereo Type Christian classifies anyone who is relaxed and enjoys life even when pressured as being worldly or carnal.

3. The Stereo Type Christian regards the mature believer as a fanatic, or cultish because he has never heard certain things or certain doctrines that are being taught.

4. The stereo type Christian respects the pastor that doesn’t have the time to study because he is too busy hustling around the church.

The results are pitiful sermons with all the traditional sayings such as Amen, Alleluia, and Lord Willing, Brother, PTL.

1. The Stereo Type Christian He is always striving to be sweet but behind that facade of sweetness lies his real face of hypocrisy.

2. The average stereo type Christian is a critic and whatever he doesn’t understand he disagrees and considers to be wrong.
