Hymn #2
Preparing yourself for the study of God’s Word
Before we begin, if you are a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ (that is— you have trusted in Him for eternal life), it is important to prepare yourself to take-in God’s Word or participating in a Communion Service, so take a moment to name, cite or acknowledge your sins privately directly to God the Father. This will assure that you are in fellowship with God the Father and the Holy Spirit’s convicting ministry, also called the convincing ministry will then be able to teach you as the Holy Spirit is the real teacher and the pastor’s message is the vehicle the Holy Spirit uses to convince you what you are learning is true or not.
1 John 1:9, says—“If we confess [simply name, cite or acknowledge to God the Father] our sins [known sins], He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins [known sins] and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness [all unknown and forgotten sins];” NKJV (New King James Version); we call this REBOUND, read the full doctrine as to “why” we need to use 1 John 1:9 to grow spiritually. REBOUND
If you have never personally believed in the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior (that is, believed in Him for eternal life), the issue for you is not to name your sins to God; the issue for you is to believe by faith alone in Jesus Christ alone for eternal life and you will be saved the very second you believe in Him:
John 6:47 says: “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me [Jesus Christ] has everlasting life.” NKJV
Notice again what John 6:47 says, “he who believes in Me [Jesus Christ] has everlasting life.” It doesn’t say, “will have”; it says, “has.” Therefore, the very moment you believe Jesus Christ’s promise of everlasting life, you have it (it’s really just that simple), and it can never be lost or taken away from you (John 10:28-29). Furthermore, the gift of everlasting life (also called eternal life in scripture) is available to every human being; there are absolutely no exceptions.
John 3:14-18 says: “And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” NKJV
Let us now bow our hearts and take a moment to prepare for learning God’s Word, if there is any known sin in your life, this is the time to just cite it privately to God the Father with your thoughts directed towards Him. With your head bowed and your eyes closed, you have total privacy in your mind and soul:

NOTES
Unlike the bible study, these notes are not just for reading without watching the video. These notes are more designed to follow along during the sermon and to bring up the “hover pop-up scripture references” (some websites may require to left click the link, if that doesn’t work then look them up in your Bible) when the Pastor asks everyone to turn to that passage in their bibles.
Sermon We should praise God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit, and the Word.
John 15 takes place after our Lord and the disciples have left the upper room where they are on the way to the Garden of Gethsemane and our Lord gives the discourse on the true vine. Sooner or later we run into someone who teaches that you can lose your salvation and that the Lord will take back His gift of salvation. Salvation and living the spiritual life is said to be a gift in Eph 2:8-10. Salvation is a gift and as a gift, our Lord will never take it back, or it can never be withdrawn or cancelled or nullified according to Rom 11:29. NAS – Rom 11:29 for the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. Living Bible – Rom 11:29 For God’s gifts and His call can never be withdrawn. Message Bible – Rom 11:29 God’s gifts and God’s call are under full warranty — never canceled, never rescinded. God’s Word Translation: Rom 11:29 God never changes his mind when he gives gifts or when he calls someone. One of the many things that impressed me in John 15, are all the different doctrines that are found between John 13-17. Some of these doctrines were brand new doctrines that were never heard or taught before the Gospel of John; Rom 16:25-27. One of those lessons deal with God the Holy Spirit who did at least seven things for each Church-age believer at the moment of their salvation. What is the preaching of Jonah that caused the Ninevites to repent or to change their mind concerning Jehovah or our Lord? It was the Gospel that they changed their mind towards as our Lord used the three days and the three nights that He was in the belly of the whale or the belly of one of the largest fishes of his day. As our Lord was teaching these principles concerning salvation; He evangelized the wickedness of the Ninevites, and He also revealed that something greater than Jonah’s experience is here. “something greater than Solomon is here” — does not refer to “someone greater than Solomon is here,” although our Lord was greater than Solomon. The “something greater” than what Solomon taught is here and that “something greater” refers to the new teachings that our Lord brought to His people. John 1:17 For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ. We have something far greater and more challenging than the blasphemy professed by the “tongues crowd” or the “emotional revolt of the soul crowd” = doctrine in our soul; Psa 56:4-11. This is a very interesting passage that was either written “by David” or written “for David” when David was outnumbered by the Philistines who seized him in Gath. It was considered to be a curse or bad luck if anyone took advantage of those who were mentally challenged by mistreating them or hurting them in some way. Upon discovering who he was, the Philistines suggested to Achish that David was a security risk, and David became afraid and ran away for his life. David disguised his sanity by acting insane. Thinking David was crazy, King Achish of the Philistines let him go with his life, as he was considered a harmless idiot. This is a reference to the fact that David had to be on the alert at all times because his enemies would not leave him alone. Not only should we praise God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, but we should also “Praise the Word;” Psa 56:4; 56:10. We are given some fantastic blessings at the moment of salvation, none of these ministries make you feel better or any differently. They are used in the way our Lord created them to be used and that is for either the “legitimate emotion of sorrow or hurt” or the “legitimate emotion of laughter and rejoicing.” 1. Efficacious grace – the enabling power of God the H.S. so that he becomes a believer in Christ because of the work of Holy Spirit which enables the believer to have an effective faith in Christ as Savior. We are working together with Him, and on the day of salvation God the Holy spirit says that He helped us at “the acceptable time,” of the day of our salvation. “Efficacious grace” — which refers to is the enabling power of God the Holy Spirit to be used by the unbeliever so that he becomes a believer in Christ because or the work of God the Holy Spirit. Efficacious Grace is God the Holy Spirit picking up a person’s positive signals of faith in Christ and carrying them to the point of salvation by making their faith effectual or alive for God to see. When we heard the Gospel we were spiritually dead and when we believed in Jesus Christ, it is the faith of a spiritually dead person. What good is the faith of a spiritually dead person? We were totally helpless to do anything to procure or to guarantee eternal salvation in our spiritually dead state. First, He makes the Gospel clear to us = common grace. He makes our faith in Christ effectual, giving our faith, life, as it were efficacious grace. The Holy Spirit’s ministry at salvation is one of fantastic grace, both in making the Gospel understandable and in making our faith effectual. 2. The second ministry of the Holy Spirit at salvation is called regeneration. It is taught in Tit 3:5; 1Pe 1:23. Tit 3:5 He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit. Regeneration is often called being “born again,” because that’s the way it is described in John 3:1-18, in our Lord’s discussion with Nicodemus. Regeneration is the technical term for being “born again.” Being born again is a result of faith in Jesus Christ, occurring at the instant you personally believe in Jesus Christ. We are born physically as dichotomous, having a body and soul, but no human spirit. However, at the moment we believe in Christ, God the Holy Spirit creates a human spirit, making us trichotomous. The moment God the Holy Spirit creates a human spirit, God the Father imputes eternal life to that human spirit. Any kind of life must have a place for the life to reside. The human soul is where human physical life resides, imputed at our physical birth. The human spirit is where eternal life resides, imputed at our spiritual birth. Soul life exists forever. The believer will live forever in heaven; the unbeliever will live forever in the Lake of Fire. Why do believers live forever in heaven; and the unbeliever will live forever in the Lake of Fire. The reason why is given to us in the second half of John 3:18, He has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. The reasons why they would be judged and sent to the Lake of Fire is because they have committed sins such as murder. The reasons why they would be judged and sent to the Lake of Fire is because they have committed adultery. All it says about the reason they will be separated from God forever and ever is simple because of one sin, the sin of unbelief. John 3:36 “He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.” This gospel is mentioned even more in detail precisely; John 16:7-15. God the Holy Spirit will do the convicting to the world and it is not the believers who will do the convicting but the Holy Spirit. In the next few passages in John 16:9-11, we are told why our Lord describes the sin, and the righteousness and the judgment that is in view. Their sin is the sin of rejecting what God the Holy Spirit is revealing to those who are listening and do not believe in the Lord Jesus Christ so that they would be saved. The sin is described — “because they do not believe in Me;” or because it is the only sin that keeps individuals from going to heaven, the sin of Unbelief! This time we talk about the importance of righteousness, not our righteousness but the Lord’s righteousness which is +R. The righteousness that is mentioned because it belongs to our Lord in John 16:10 which is why our Lord said — concerning righteousness, “because I go to the Father, and you no longer behold Me;” The righteousness that is mentioned concerning salvation is the righteousness of Christ and not of ourselves. This refers to the judgment of Satan and his kingdom and has nothing to do with believers or even unbelievers who are being judged but the judgment concerns the ruler of the world — devil also called Satan. Four main principles: God the Holy Spirit = the power of God in salvation. The sin is unbelief – for Humans, The righteousness – refers to the righteousness of Christ The Judgment – refers to the Judgment of Satan. Convictor = the Holy Spirit Sin = Unbelief Righteousness = +R of our Lord Judgment = god of this world is judged. Regeneration means the creation of a human spirit for the imputation of eternal life. The soul is the residence of human life; the human spirit is the residence of eternal life. The fact that the believer in Jesus Christ is trichotomous is found in passages like 1Th 5:23; Phile 25; 1Th 5:23 Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you entirely; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved complete, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Just as the soul is the residence for soul or human life, so the human spirit is the residence for eternal life. 3. The baptism of the Spirit, which was prophesied in Acts 1:5. Also it is mentioned in principle and mechanics in 1Co 12:13; Gal 3:26-28; Eph 4:5. 1Co 12:13 For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we were all made to drink of one Spirit. Eph 4:4-5, There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, At the moment we believed in Christ, God the Holy Spirit took each one of us and entered us into union with the person of Jesus Christ. 1. We share His eternal life (1Jo 5:11-2), giving us a double portion of eternal life. 2. We also share His righteousness, giving us a double portion. 3. We share Christ’s destiny under predestination. 4. We share Christ’s election. Our Lord Jesus Christ is seated at the right hand of the Father, and he has been given a third royal title. We share in His royalty as His royal family. We become a new spiritual species. Once you are put into union with Christ (positional sanctification), you can never get out. There is no sin or human good or evil you can perform that can disqualify you from being in union with Christ. The baptism of the Spirit is the basis for the new spiritual species and the royal family of God — unifying factor in the body of Christ as we have equal privilege and opportunity to execute God’s plan. 4. The Indwelling of the Holy Spirit. At the moment you believe in Christ, God the Holy Spirit indwells your body, 1Co 3:16, 6:19-20; 2Co 6:16; — “Your body is a temple of the Spirit who is in you.” The purpose of the indwelling of the Spirit is to provide a temple for the indwelling of Jesus Christ as the Shekinah Glory. In the Holy of Holies, our Lord Jesus Christ dwelt between the cherubs as the Shekinah Glory. His presence there was a guarantee of blessing to Israel through their unconditional covenants. Just as Christ indwelt the Holy of Holies in the temple in Jerusalem as a guarantee of blessing to Israel, so He indwells us as a guarantee of our escrow blessings. For Jesus Christ is the escrow officer; He is the one who makes the distribution of our escrow blessings for time and for the eternal state. The indwelling of the Holy Spirit relates to the body of the believer, while the filling of the Holy Spirit relates to the soul of the believer. The indwelling of Jesus Christ and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit have nothing to do with your spiritual life experientially. The filling of the Spirit is when the believer resides in the PPOG where he “walks by means of the Spirit,” where the Holy Spirit controls his soul, which is distinct from his body. 5. At the moment of salvation we are all given the Filling of the Holy Spirit as taught in Eph 5:18; Gal 5:16. We are filled with the Spirit at salvation when God the Holy Spirit takes us and enters us into the plan of God as our very own castle or palace, which comes from the PPOG leading to the PSD. The believer in the PPOG [predesigned plan of God] is filled with the Spirit, which is the same as being under the enabling power of the Spirit, and this continues as long as he does not sin. When we sin, we lose the filling of the Holy Spirit and enter into cosmic one or cosmic two. In cosmic one, we grieve the Spirit. 6. The Sealing Ministry of the Holy Spirit is found in Eph 1:13-14, 4:30. The sealing ministry of the Spirit is a signature guarantee of: 1. The Holy Spirit’s ministry in efficacious grace. 2. Eternal life. 3. Eternal security in time. 4. Your portfolio of invisible assets. This is His ministry whereby the Holy Spirit signs the guarantee of our salvation, eternal life, eternal security, and portfolio of invisible assets. He puts His signature to our lives that we actually have our portfolio and escrow blessings. God provided certain blessings for every individual that He created with one purpose in mind and that is to fulfill what the apostle Paul said in 1Ti 2:3-4. 1Ti 2:3-4, This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. Now, we have God’s will for the unbeliever which is the fact that He desires all men to be saved; Prt 1. 7. The Sovereign Distribution of Spiritual Gifts to each Believer. God the Father was involved in the distribution of spiritual gifts as a witness to the strategic victory of Jesus Christ after His ascension. This began in the dispensation of the Hypostatic Union, Heb 2:4. God the Son was involved in the initial distribution of spiritual gifts to the first generation of the body of Christ or royal family. The distribution of blessings as a result of the triumph of our Lord Jesus Christ which terminated the dispensation of the Hypostatic Union, in His resurrection, ascension, and session. Eph 4:7-8. The Gossip Snake. I have no respect for the human race. I maim without killing them Right to their face. I break hearts and ruin lives; I speak in the dark I can cheat, I can lie; I love leaving my mark I can go as far back Even as Noah’s ark Because nobody can see That I’m leaving my mark I am cruel and malicious, I gain strength through rage. The more I am quoted, the more people age I flourish at times; When people think they’re on stage, My victims are helpless, They’re filled with rage. They have no idea; How I will appear Even though they don’t know, When I am near. They do not know or they do not care that I am close and very near, Every time it’s clear For me to be near To make sure that I Will cause you to fear. Listen to me, And I Will Disgrace Those who listen to lies And forget about grace You will never realize When I am in place Because I have no name, And I have no face. I will always be near Just in case I need to destroy the human race. I spread lies just in case I need to deceive you Right to your face To track me down is an impossible task. The harder you try, The more questions you’ll ask The more I hurt others The old and the young I know Death and life are in the power of the tongue Bottom of Form I’m nobody’s friend. Though I do appear In every generation Who’s controlled by fear. I can tarnish a reputation, So that it is never the same. Topple governments and marriages. Until they’re insane. I ruin careers, no matter the price I cause sleepless nights, and I give bad advice With heartaches and fears, I can be so precise. So, you better think twice, and have a warning device You can be enticed To think sacrifice But better be careful It’s a fool’s paradise.
