Hymn #1

Hymn #2

Preparing yourself for the study of God’s Word

Before we begin, if you are a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ (that is— you have trusted in Him for eternal life), it is important to prepare yourself to take-in God’s Word or participating in a Communion Service, so take a moment to name, cite or acknowledge your sins privately directly to God the Father. This will assure that you are in fellowship with God the Father and the Holy Spirit’s convicting ministry, also called the convincing ministry will then be able to teach you as the Holy Spirit is the real teacher and the pastor’s message is the vehicle the Holy Spirit uses to convince you what you are learning is true or not.

1 John 1:9, says—“If we confess [simply name, cite or acknowledge to God the Father] our sins [known sins], He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins [known sins] and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness [all unknown and forgotten sins];” NKJV (New King James Version); we call this REBOUND, read the full doctrine as to “why” we need to use 1 John 1:9 to grow spiritually. REBOUND

If you have never personally believed in the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior (that is, believed in Him for eternal life), the issue for you is not to name your sins to God; the issue for you is to believe by faith alone in Jesus Christ alone for eternal life and you will be saved the very second you believe in Him:

John 6:47 says: “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me [Jesus Christ] has everlasting life.” NKJV

Notice again what John 6:47 says, “he who believes in Me [Jesus Christ] has everlasting life.” It doesn’t say, “will have”; it says, “has.” Therefore, the very moment you believe Jesus Christ’s promise of everlasting life, you have it (it’s really just that simple), and it can never be lost or taken away from you (John 10:28-29). Furthermore, the gift of everlasting life (also called eternal life in scripture) is available to every human being; there are absolutely no exceptions.

John 3:14-18 says: “And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” NKJV

Let us now bow our hearts and take a moment to prepare for learning God’s Word, if there is any known sin in your life, this is the time to just cite it privately to God the Father with your thoughts directed towards Him. With your head bowed and your eyes closed, you have total privacy in your mind and soul:

NOTES
Unlike the bible study, these notes are not just for reading without watching the video. These notes are more designed to follow along during the sermon and to bring up the “hover pop-up scripture references” (some websites may require to left click the link, if that doesn’t work then look them up in your Bible) when the Pastor asks everyone to turn to that passage in their bibles.

Sermon: Our Lord knew that Religion lies and
it is from Satan and the Kingdom of Darkness.

1. You will honor our Lord’s commands and desires to “abide in Him” as an expression of your love and respect toward Him and what He says or requests in His Word.

There is a direct relationship between our love for the Lord and abiding in His Word.

John 15:12 “This is My commandment, that you love [or that you have impersonal unconditional love] for one another, just as I have [impersonally and unconditionally] loved you.

We have our Lord’s Word which is called commandment and also we have love for our Lord as we abide in His Word.

We have commandments;

We have impersonal unconditional love;

We have been recipients of our Lord’s impersonal unconditional
love.

All of these passages remind us of the importance of Bible doctrine especially when we are dealing with “The Cross” which I called on Wednesday evening “The Central Event of The Eternal Universe.”

1. You will honor our Lord’s commands and desires to “abide in Him” as an expression of your love and respect toward Him and what He says or requests in His Word.

2. We will automatically live the spiritual life through the power of God the Holy Spirit and the Word of God, as we glorify our Lord Jesus Christ and truly worship and honor Him with all respect.

He was preparing Himself for one of the most violent, inhuman, agonizing painful time of human suffering that a person could ever face, either mentally, spiritually and-or physically.

I want you to be crystal clear on some of our Lord’s thoughts or His mentality or system of thinking hours before the cross and on the cross.

Our Lord “knew” what the cross would entail and He also “knew” when His time had come for Him to face the cross as He would say phrases like “My Time” of “My hour” as His destiny.

There is an entire Psalm that records for us some of the thoughts that were on our Lord’s mind just before the Cross as well as while He was on the Cross.

1. He was preparing Himself for what He knew was about to happen in the Roman Courthouse just before the Cross, as well as His thoughts while on the cross.

2. He was preparing the disciples to become Apostles because our Lord knew hat between the Passover Celebration and all the way to the end of the Cross, He would be dealing with the Roman court systems.

Even though the Roman Court was one of the greatest forms of government at the time, it was still filled with unfairness and perverted judges.

Our Lord knew that religion lies and it is from Satan and the kingdom of darkness.

The Lord knew that the evil liars and the jealousy among the Scribes and the Pharisees and the Sadducees would be the order of the day.

It would be a part of the norm and the standard of religion in the Roman Empire and among the satanic apostate religious leaders of Israel.

Matt9:34 “He casts out the demons by the ruler of the demons.”

Matt 11:19 “The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, ‘Behold, a gluttonous man and a drunkard, a friend of tax gatherers and sinners!’

Matt 26:65 “Then the high priest tore his robes, saying, “He has blasphemed!”

Matt 26:66 “They answered and said,” He is deserving of death!”

Mrk 3:21 “And when His own people heard {of this,} they went out to take custody of Him; for they were saying, “He has lost His senses.”

Mrk 3:22 “And the scribes who came down from Jerusalem were saying, “He is possessed by Beelzebul“

Mrk 3:30 “He has an unclean spirit.”

Lul 15:2 “This man receives sinners and eats with them.”

In Luk 15:3, our Lord told the scribes, the Pharisees, the Sadducees, and the hypocrites what is said in John 15:3, and that is why He would teach them parables.

Luk 23:2 And they began to accuse Him, saying, “We found this man misleading our nation and forbidding to pay taxes to Caesar,”

Luk 23:5 But they kept on insisting, saying, “He stirs up the people,

Luk 23:14 “This man is one who incites the people to rebellion,

John 7:12, they said He was a cult leader and He leads multitudes astray, “He leads the multitude astray.”

John 8:48 The Jews answered and said to Him, “Do we not say rightly that You are a Samaritan and have a demon?”

John 10:20 And many of them were saying, “He has a demon and is insane. Why do you listen to Him?”

1. He was preparing Himself for what He knew was about to happen to Him by the evil of believers and unbelievers in the Roman courthouse just before the Cross.

2. He was preparing His apostles and disciples for what He knew was about to happen to Him by the evil of believers and unbelievers in the Roman courthouse just before the Cross.

Psa 22, Isa 53; are just some of the thoughts of our Lord the night before His death.

He will teach them how to handle the lies from Satan and his kingdom of darkness from religion among the scribes and the Pharisees and the Sadducees.

Psalm 22 = The Psalm of the thoughts and the Crucifixion of our Lord upon the cross as found in Psa 22 which has been right¬fully called the Crucifixion Psalm.

Aijeleth Hashshahar = the title or the name of some song or tune to be chanted or some understand this to be the name of some instrument of music or an allegorical allusion to the subject of the Psalm.

This is known by many as “The Psalm of the cross” and some scholars believe that the Psalm had been actually repeated word by word by our Lord when hanging on the tree.

The interesting thing is that the Psalm begins with, “My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?” and ends in the original language of the Hebrew with the Hebrew verb asah which means “It is finished.”

Psa 22:31 — notice the last phrase translated “He has performed it,” which is translated from the original language of the Hebrew verb asah correctly translated “to perform,” or get this, “to finish” .

‎`asah = to perform, to accomplish, to finish, to execute, to fulfill, to bring to pass, and it is like the John 19:30 passage, where the Lord said; “Tetelestai, it is finished.”

Psa 22:31 “They will come and will declare His righteousness to a people who will be born, that He has finished it, = ( He has finished the work that was appointed for Him to complete and to finish.

The bottle full of tears refers to Psa 56:8 Thou hast taken account of my wanderings; Put my tears in Thy bottle; Are they not in Thy book?

This Psalm is a photograph of our Lord’s darkest hours and a record of His dying thoughts and words.

Here David takes us deep into the horrors of the cross while at the same time we are made to see the fruits of TLJC and His passion in the establish¬ment of His kingdom among men.

Even though the Psalm was the expression of a personal anguish on the part of David, cry¬ing out and saying, Psa 22:1 My God, my God, why hast Thou forsaken me?, this to be a prophecy of the The Lord Jesus Christ upon the Cross.

Psa 22:1 My God, my God, why hast Thou forsaken me? Far from my deliverance are the words of my groaning. = quoted by our Lord in Matt 27:46. It was a phrase that caused the Jews to mock but the elect angels to rejoice.

Psa 22:2 = the unanswered prayer of our Lord on the Cross when he prays, “O my God, I cry out by day [first three hours, 9 a.m. 12 noon] and then by night there is no silence for Me [the continued prayer of our Lord during the darkness that surrounded the cross from 12 noon 3 p.m. when He was being judged for our sins].”

God the Father was imputing our sins to Christ and judging them from His Holiness. Therefore, He couldn’t answer the prayer for deliverance on the cross.

TLJC [The Lord Jesus Christ] knew that there is no injustice and unfairness with God.

Many people speak evil of God when they are under His afflicting hand but not so with our Lord Jesus Christ.

He knows His Father too well to let outward circumstances defame His character.

Psa 22:4 5, “Our fathers trusted in You [faith rest]; they trusted, and You delivered them [You answered their prayers].

Out of all their difficulties and miseries, their faith brought them out of it by calling God to the rescue but in the case of our Lord, His perfect faith brought no assistance from Heaven.

Of all the ones who ever trusted in God throughout their lifetime, He would be the only one forsaken by God.

Heb 13:5 “I will never desert you, nor will I ever forsake you,”

He was being crushed for our sins, so that you and I, as royal family of God, could wear the crimson robe of the Royal Family forever.

“Tolar Worm” = when the worm bleeds, it is the same color as the red dye which in the ancient world was used to make the color “Crimson Red” on “Robes of Aristocracy.

Here our Lord felt Himself to be comparable to a helpless, powerless, down-trodden worm, passive while crushed and unnoticed and despised by those who walk upon Him.

When our Lord was on the cross, He was thinking “I am not a man” which means that He was thinking, “I no longer even appear human.”

He was A reproach of men and despised by the people.

The very people who would have crowned Him, now they wanted to condemn Him.

Psa 103:2 Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget none of His benefits;

Psa 119:16 I shall delight in Thy statutes; I shall not forget Thy word.

This was true even about our Lord when He was on the cross and must have thought as Psa 119:16 I shall delight in Thy statutes; I shall not forget Thy word.

Psa 119:109 My life is continually in my hand, Yet I do not forget Thy law.

Now, Psa 22:7 says He was being ridiculed by gesture and mockery and disrespect.

They took His clothes and drew straws to who would win His clothes in the bet that they made.

Luk 23:34 But Jesus was saying, “Father, forgive them; for they do not know what they are doing.” And they cast lots, dividing up His garments among themselves.

In the original Greek language, God the Holy Spirit used the Greek verb lego in the Imperfect, Active, Indicative of lego which is elegen, looks like this in the original language and it means that our Lord kept on saying “Father, forgive them; for they do not know what they are doing”

Our Lord was praying for those around the cross who were mocking Him and jeering Him as they were also stripping His clothes from Him, very carefully.

3Jo 1:2 Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers.

He had whatever He desired because of Matt 6:25-34.
