Hymn #2

Preparing yourself for the study of God’s Word

Before we begin, if you are a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ (that is— you have trusted in Him for eternal life), it is important to prepare yourself to take-in God’s Word or participating in a Communion Service, so take a moment to name, cite or acknowledge your sins privately directly to God the Father. This will assure that you are in fellowship with God the Father and the Holy Spirit’s convicting ministry, also called the convincing ministry will then be able to teach you as the Holy Spirit is the real teacher and the pastor’s message is the vehicle the Holy Spirit uses to convince you what you are learning is true or not.

1 John 1:9, says—“If we confess [simply name, cite or acknowledge to God the Father] our sins [known sins], He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins [known sins] and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness [all unknown and forgotten sins];” NKJV (New King James Version); we call this REBOUND, read the full doctrine as to “why” we need to use 1 John 1:9 to grow spiritually. REBOUND

If you have never personally believed in the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior (that is, believed in Him for eternal life), the issue for you is not to name your sins to God; the issue for you is to believe by faith alone in Jesus Christ alone for eternal life and you will be saved the very second you believe in Him:

John 6:47 says: “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me [Jesus Christ] has everlasting life.” NKJV

Notice again what John 6:47 says, “he who believes in Me [Jesus Christ] has everlasting life.” It doesn’t say, “will have”; it says, “has.” Therefore, the very moment you believe Jesus Christ’s promise of everlasting life, you have it (it’s really just that simple), and it can never be lost or taken away from you (John 10:28-29). Furthermore, the gift of everlasting life (also called eternal life in scripture) is available to every human being; there are absolutely no exceptions.

John 3:14-18 says: “And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” NKJV

Let us now bow our hearts and take a moment to prepare for learning God’s Word, if there is any known sin in your life, this is the time to just cite it privately to God the Father with your thoughts directed towards Him. With your head bowed and your eyes closed, you have total privacy in your mind and soul:

NOTES
Unlike the bible study, these notes are not just for reading without watching the video. These notes are more designed to follow along during the sermon and to bring up the “hover pop-up scripture references” (some websites may require to left click the link, if that doesn’t work then look them up in your Bible) when the Pastor asks everyone to turn to that passage in their bibles.

Sermon: Studying the word of God, listening and moving forward.

One of the many areas that the “Word of God” is very consistent in is in the area of many hundreds of doctrines; analogies; typologies; numerology, parables; promises and dreams.

These are just a few of the areas where the “Word of God” is mentioned along with the sovereignty of God.

Even though God will never use His sovereignty to coerce human volition, God will also not allow anyone to use guilt; fear; worry; anxiety; etc., to pervert man’s decisions.

The power of God or the omnipotence of God means that God honors your decisions, whether they are for Him or against Him.

1Ti 2:4 “He desires all men to be saved and to come unto the epignosis knowledge of the truth.”

What we do have are people, places, or things, “because of the grace of God that is at work within every believer.”

Remember — How to have successful relationships in marriage, in the home, on the job; in your social life, your church life, all in the midst of the Angelic Conflict in human history.

This is another reason that the Lord graciously reveals certain principles of doctrine that He calls “the secret things.”

Deut 29:29 “The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our sons forever, that we may observe all the words of this law.

Deut 29:29; The secrets things belong to our Lord and are hidden by Him for the victories that we all have.

Notice the chart or the perfect environment of man ever since the beginning of man was documented against us as His servants or His slaves.

Doctrines = Systematic Teachings.

Analogies = Areas of Similarities.

Typologies = Visual aids using people, places or things to teach by analogy.

Numerology = The place of numbers in the Bible.

Parables = Stories and Illustrations that reveals our Lord’s wisdom to all of us.

Promises = God’s truth to man for man.

Dreams = God’s night-time vehicles for teaching.

Don’t be afraid to write down the different meanings or the different interpretations of what the passage is saying to you.

God speaks to us through His Word and in doing so, He speaks directly to us through the different ways He communicates to us in ways we can truly understand.

You and I may hear the message one way with a certain point getting across while others learn something totally different but it is still the same message of doctrine and it is still food for your soul.

Rev 2:17 ‘He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.

I wanted to hear and see whether or not my messages have been coming through for you and for those of you who believe in God but they cannot receive the gifts that God has prepared for those who love Him.

I also wanted to see what your interpretation of the messages are and whether or not you are being prepared by those messages to handle any problem that life may bring.

For you are a believer-priest just like I am, and you know that God does not play favoritism between us, under the principle of equal privilege and equal opportunity, that the Lord gives to those who love Him.

Psa 145:20 “The Lord keeps all who love Him; But all the wicked, He will destroy.”

Mark 12:33 love Him with all the heart and with all the understanding and with all the strength, and to love one’s neighbor as himself, is much more than all burnt offerings and sacrifices.”

1Co 2:9 “But just as it is written, “Things which eye has not seen and ear has not heard, And which have not entered the heart of man, All that God has prepared for those who love Him.”

James 1:12 “Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life, which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.”

His listeners = Adam and Ishshah.

His garden was the perfect environment found in Eden where the man and the woman would be taught by the Lord in the midst of their Garden at that time.

Gen 3:8 And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day,

It was during this time and other times when the Lord would teach the man and the woman about their relationship with the justice of God and the love of God.

When the Lord leaves man on this earth, He does so when He walks through another garden, the garden of Gethsemane, to deal with the divine solutions for man’s problems.

Gen 3:21 And the Lord God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife, and clothed them.

When the Lord meets man for the first time, He taught him the first message that he would need as they walked through another garden, the garden of Gethsemane = Lord taught exactly what man would need.

When the Lord leaves meets man for the first time, He taught him the exact message that mankind would need as they walked through another garden, the garden of Gethsemane, where the Lord completed His mission.

Our Lord, Jesus Christ, was preparing Himself to face the most excruciating amount of pain and suffering ever recorded in written form that a person would ever go through in this life; Psa 23:5.

1. Let me break down the verse that our Lord quoted to give us some idea as to what we should expect from His guidance and directions in Psa 23:5.

2. It is the Lord who prepares a table for us to eat at and dine with Him while having peace and prosperity within our very own soul.

3. It is also the Lord who waits upon all mankind as He tries to prepare a table before us in the presence of our enemies.

4. It is during these times of trials and tribulations that our problems seem to become so enlarged that the Lord reveals to us the power and the ability to enjoy the blessings that He created just for us.

5. He also anoints or gives us the ministry of the Spirit so that if we need something to pull us through whatever adversities we may be facing, and this is another reason why Psa 23 is called “The Shepherd Psalm.”

We also have victory over man’s nemesis of death which is said to be the victory over death which is called nothing — but a shadow.

Heb 2:9 “But we do see Him who has been made for a little while lower than the angels, namely, Jesus, because of the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone.”

It is this preparation that our Lord talked about that He lived in as He faced the pain and suffering that He had to be prepared for as He approached the cross that God led Him to.

Heb 5:8 Although He was a Son, He learned obedience from the things which He suffered.

It is knowing this and some of the other factors and principles that exist as we go through the valley of the Shadow of Death and overcome any fear that may comes our way as we prepare for death.

Psa 23:4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil; for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff, they comfort me.

Even though death is only a shadow, we will still have to face it, and when we do face it, we will face death and fear no evil because we know that the Lord is with us.

The principles: concerning the difference between winner and loser believers as we
get ready and prepared for whatever comes our way.

The real difference between winner believers and loser believers have to do with Attitude!

What is your attitude or motivation as it is related to the plan of God the Father to be filled by God the Son through the power of God the Holy Spirit?

Whenever you’re in conflict with someone, there is one factor that can make the difference between damaging your relationship and deepening it — mental attitude.

Mental attitudes are a secret power working twenty-four hours a day, for good or bad.

It is of paramount importance that we know how to harness and control this great force we call mental attitude or biblical motivation.

Prov 27:17 Iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.

Prov 27:18 He who tends the fig tree will eat its fruit; And he who cares for his master will be honored.

By facing your problems head on — you are able to control whatever it is that you are facing—- just like Prov 23:7 says.

Prov 23:7 For as he thinks within himself, so he is. He says to you, “Eat and drink!” But his heart is not with you.

Prov 27:19 As in water face reflects face, So the heart of man reflects man.

Here again is the principle of the heart of man or the thinking of man Reflects upon the way that the heart of man thinks.

Each experience that we face and go through and pass the test with shining colors can all work together ultimately for our own good.

There are so many different ways of communicating truth that it becomes a way of life for those who listen and obey what the “truth” is concerning what the Lord is saying to each individual believer.

Food is not what defiles the man inwardly but what defiles the man inwardly is from his mental attitude and what he allows to enter his soul.

“your spiritual service of worship” refers to whether or not you have presented not just your soul and your human spirit to the Lord but also your physical body, that is if you believe the Word of God.

1Ti 4:4-5, For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected, if it is received with gratitude for it is sanctified by means of the word of God and prayer.

What it does mean is that I have a proper motivation which can encourage, influence, convince or persuade an individual to do what is right!

It is the motivation which is most significant because it is also the motivation that will judge or evaluate your deeds and mine at the “Bema Seat Judgment.”

The “Judgment Seat” as being called the “bema set judgment” because God shines “beams of light” upon all the good deeds and good works that we have done while using the two power options.

Prov 16:2 All the ways of a man are clean in his own sight, But the Lord weighs the motives.

James 4:3 You ask and do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your pleasures.

Having the right motivation is more important than my past, my education, my bankroll, my successes or failures, fame or pain, what other people think of me or say about me, my circumstances, or my position.

Mental attitude keeps you going or cripples your progress.

It fuels negative thinking and when my mental attitudes are right, there is no barrier too high, no valley too deep, no dream too extreme, no challenge too great for us.

It is more important than my past, my education, my money, my circumstances, my failure, my successes, more than what other people think or say or do.

Your mental attitude is more important than your appearance, your giftedness or your skill.

Psa 5:3 “In the morning, O Lord, Thou wilt hear my voice; In the morning I will order my prayer to Thee and eagerly watch.

Psa 5:3 “In the morning, O Lord, Thou wilt hear my voice; In the morning I will order my prayer to Thee and eagerly watch.

Psa 90:14 O satisfy us in the morning with Thy lovingkindness, That we may sing for joy and be glad all our days.

We cannot change our past.

We cannot change others!

We can only change ourselves.

We cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way.

We cannot change the inevitable negative thoughts or the negative decisions or actions of other people.

One writer said, “I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it.”

Two Passages for Mental Attitude Tests:

Phil 2:5 “Keep on thinking this [doctrine] within yourselves which was also resident in Christ Jesus,”

1Co 2:16 For who has known the mind of the Lord, that he should instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ.

“The pursuit of happiness is a matter of choice…it is a positive attitude we choose to express. It is not a gift delivered to our door each morning, nor does it come through the window.

“We are all faced with a series of great opportunities brilliantly disguised as impossible situations.”
Matt 17:20 And He said to them, “for truly I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you shall say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it shall move; and nothing shall be impossible to you.

Matt 19:26 And looking upon them Jesus said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

In Mark 9:23 And Jesus said to him, “‘If You can!’ All things are possible to him who believes.”

Mark 10:27 Looking upon them, Jesus said, “With men it is impossible, but not with God; for all things are possible with God.”

Luk 1:37 “For nothing will be impossible with God.”

Luk 18:27 “The things impossible with men are possible with God.”

This is when we go through the principle that Ability is what we are capable of doing.

Ability can take you to the top, but it takes character to keep you there.

“We must cease striving and trust God to provide what He thinks is best and in whatever time He chooses to make it available. But this kind of trusting doesn’t come naturally.

Motivation determines the way that we do things and the reason why we think those same things either the right way or the wrong way.

Mental attitude also determines how well you do it.

We awaken in others the same mental attitude of mind we hold toward them.

It is our mental attitude at the beginning of a difficult task which, more than anything else, will affect its successful outcome.

Success or failure depends more upon mental attitude than upon the capacity successful individuals have as they have accomplished or are enjoying something that they desire.

This means that if you act, look, or feel successful, and conduct yourself accordingly, you will be amazed at the positive results.

Nothing can stop the individual who has the right mental attitude from achieving his goal.

Success or failure depends more upon mental attitude than upon capacity that successful men and women have as though they have accomplished or are enjoying something.

Act, look, feel successful, conduct yourself accordingly, and you will be amazed at the positive results.

We are injured and hurt emotionally, not so much by other people or what they say or do not say but by our own mental attitude and our own responses to who they are and what they said.

There are many times when our mental attitude is more important than facts.
