Preparing yourself for the study of God’s Word
Before we begin, if you are a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ (that is— you have trusted in Him for eternal life), it is important to prepare yourself to take-in God’s Word or participating in a Communion Service, so take a moment to name, cite or acknowledge your sins privately directly to God the Father. This will assure that you are in fellowship with God the Father and the Holy Spirit’s convicting ministry, also called the convincing ministry will then be able to teach you as the Holy Spirit is the real teacher and the pastor’s message is the vehicle the Holy Spirit uses to convince you what you are learning is true or not.
1 John 1:9, says—“If we confess [simply name, cite or acknowledge to God the Father] our sins [known sins], He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins [known sins] and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness [all unknown and forgotten sins];” NKJV (New King James Version); we call this REBOUND, read the full doctrine as to “why” we need to use 1 John 1:9 to grow spiritually. If you have never personally believed in the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior (that is, believed in Him for eternal life), the issue for you is not to name your sins to God; the issue for you is to believe by faith alone in Jesus Christ alone for eternal life and you will be saved the very second you believe in Him:
John 6:47 says: “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me [Jesus Christ] has everlasting life.” NKJV
Notice again what John 6:47 says, “he who believes in Me [Jesus Christ] has everlasting life.” It doesn’t say, “will have”; it says, “has.” Therefore, the very moment you believe Jesus Christ’s promise of everlasting life, you have it (it’s really just that simple), and it can never be lost or taken away from you (John 10:28-29). Furthermore, the gift of everlasting life (also called eternal life in scripture) is available to every human being; there are absolutely no exceptions.
John 3:14-18 says: “And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” NKJV
Let us now bow our hearts and take a moment to prepare for learning God’s Word, if there is any known sin in your life, this is the time to just cite it privately to God the Father with your thoughts directed towards Him. With your head bowed and your eyes closed, you have total privacy in your mind and soul:

Sermon: Prov 17:22, A joyful heart is good medicine, But a broken spirit dries up the bones.
Chronology = the arrangement of certain events and dates in the order of their occurrence, especially the doctrinal order as well as the historical records.
We need to look at the historical records or privileges that are supported by the principles of learning and metabolizing the word of God so that we are able to fulfill the “Divine Call.”
We will note even more from the doctrinal conclusions which falls under the privileges that we all have in mind concerning the interpretation of the “Word of God” = ICE.
What it means for us to be able to listen, to learn followed by “to study and to teach” under the principle of ICE?

Hebrew noun gehah – refers to a Medicine, or a Cure, for sickness, either in the natural or in the spiritual realm.

Let’s just relax and allow the Lord to rule our lives by breaking down all the positive or the negative consequences we have just noted.
1. A heart which Solomon says he used quite a few times.
2. Solomon also noted that what he says in Prov 17:22 that it is a joyful heart which Solomon says was just like good medicine.
3. Thirdly, there are many believers who also have a broken spirit or one whose spiritually dead dries up the bones of the believer.
4. This word is just like our Lord’s words and is in view whenever believers look at what Solomon says in Prov 17:22.
Even Job had his chances of rebound and recovery and therefore he was able to do whatever it is that the Lord desired from us and for us.
Job 5:22 “You will laugh at violence and famine, Neither will you be afraid of wild beasts.
Prov 1:26 I will even laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your dread comes,
Luk 6:21 “Blessed are you who hunger now, for you shall be satisfied. Blessed are you who weep now, for you shall laugh”.
1. Isagogics is the historical setting of the passage.
2. Categories is the systematic theology developed from combining Scripture with Scripture.
3. Exegesis is the grammatical and syntactical analysis of the passage from the original languages.
ICE is without a doubt the most accurate way of interpreting the scriptures.
We can answer by quoting some of the doctrinal principles that one of the wisest men in the ancient world, Solomon, began with as he noted the wisdom of Royalty.
Solomon was a man who started out as a great ruler.
Solomon wanted to become more than just a man who inherited something from someone, he wanted to become an achiever.
Achiever – is someone who wanted to be successful, did not quit but rather he wanted to be one who carried through whatever he decided to do or to get or to attain by effort; or gain; or prosperity.
His father David was also a ruler but he was also an achiever and he was the greatest soldier of his day.
There was peace in his time for forty years thanks to the tremendous military victories of his father, king David.
Solomon had to look for a different field in which he could achieve success and so he selected the business world.
Solomon was the most successful businessman in the world, not just in Israel, but in the world.
Wealth, a little arrogance and you now have money, and power accompanied by the pride and arrogance that usually always follows.
Pride and arrogance that could destroy Solomon and all of his wealth was part of living that the one who could destroy him was a lot closer than what he thought.
Look at this simple equation and you can see all the temptations that not only did Solomon have to face but also that everyone of us would also have to face as well.
THAT EQUATION
Money + Arrogance + Power = the perversion of the fall of man.
Arrogance blinds us from receiving God’s blessings and prosperities and little did Solomon Know that he was about to meet the love of his life.
Solomon began to function with what he thought he wanted and missed out on receiving God’s highest and best = the doctrine of Election.
All the passages that Solomon was about to use that only the Lord could have written.
Here are some believers who became involved in a relationship or relationships that I call the “The Peyton Place of Carnality; 1Co 3:1-3.”
I have even named those involved in the spiritual realm who I refer to as the Villain, the Victim, and the Virtuous woman.
The Villain = Solomon
The Victim = Shepherd lover
Virtuous woman = Shulamite woman.
Prov 8:13 “The fear of the Lord is to hate evil; Pride and arrogance and the evil way, And the perverted mouth, I hate.
Prov 11:2 When pride comes, then comes dishonor, But with the humble is wisdom.
Prov 16:18 Pride {goes} before destruction, And a haughty spirit before stumbling.
We continue then with one of the wealthiest man who ever lived and who also had a business in the ancient world that was phenomenal.
The issue for believers is not what some teach but it is a reference to being a disciple in the ancient world.
To be one requires that you have the humility to listen, to learn, and to apply.
1Co 4:1 “Let a man regard us in this manner, as servants of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God.”
1Co 4:2 In this case, moreover, it is required of stewards that one be found trustworthy.
Since we are commanded to handle our Lord’s blessing, we should do so, in honor and virtue and not for any other reason than to glorify our Lord and Savior.
There have been those suspicions that a lot of believers have fallen into that we all need to beware of.
It is the exact number that the Lord uses to guide others concerning what they should be focusing upon, not money but principle.
We learn the principle of discipleship and focuses in on an individual who wants to play with money or dollars and prosperity, but instead they fell into the deception and the lies that “loser believers” fall into.
Here is where a lot of pastors go astray even though many of them have become like the implacable type of pastors who are in danger of ignoring God’s plans as well.
Prin: Do not get involved with the evil and the lies that come from the cosmic system such as the principle of playing the numbers game which some believers have used to try and get ahead of in life.
What are you going to do with all of that money?
The ancient Greeks had a custom of converting a large accumulation of gold into shields and spears or other paraphernalia.
Solomon made shields out of his gold.
The forest of Lebanon was one of his out-of-town hunting lodges.
The man about whom this is written was a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ.
While we do not know exactly when he alienated himself from God, there are several passages of Scripture that give us some indication.
One reference is obvious from verse 1Ki 10:17: an ivory and gold throne was not for comfort.
Anyone who demands for himself an ivory chair overlaid with gold does so for one reason only – for a status symbol to satisfy the ego.
If you were that close to Solomon, you were there by kneeling.
Nothing was made of silver because in Solomon’s day silver was not considered to be of value as it is today.
We are understanding everything that was brought in, but what about the apes and peacocks.
It wasn’t elephants and lions;
It wasn’t tigers and bears –
BUT Apes and Peacocks.
OUR Lord DOES have a sense of humor and it is a part…
The entire Trinity was involved with the many laughs that our Lord revealed through-out the Old and New Testament.
Peacocks strutting down the gangplank, each led by a slave; and apes in large cages, scratching and growling, rattling the bars.
The apes and peacocks were the ultimate in status symbols, the final touch in Solomon’s extravaganzas.
In the ancient world, apes and peacocks represented the principle of fun and entertainment.
For Solomon they represented the principle of boredom and the frantic search for happiness.
Solomon achieved success in business and was the wealthiest man in the world.
Solomon was one of the greatest businessmen who ever lived!
