Prepare yourself for learning the Word of God!

Before we begin, if you are a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ (that is; you have believed [trusted] in Him for His promised gift of eternal life), it is important to prepare yourself to learn God's Word so take a moment to name, cite or acknowledge (confess) your known unconfessed sins privately to God (i.e.; with your thoughts directed only to God the Father).

1 John 1:9 says: "If we confess our sins, He (God) is faithful and just to forgive us our sins (known sins) and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness [unknown or forgotten sins]." NKJV (New King James Version) [italics added]; we call this REBOUND, read the full doctrine as to “why” we need to use 1 John 1:9 to grow spiritually. REBOUND

If you have never personally believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, that He is the Son of God, the promised Messiah, as your Savior (that is, believed in Him for eternal life), the issue for you is not to name your sins; the issue for you is to simply exercise faith alone in Jesus Christ alone for eternal life; when you do, you will instantly receive Eternal Life: John 3:16, 5:24, 6:47, 20:30, 31.

John 6:47 says: "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me [Jesus Christ] has everlasting life." NKJV [italics added]

Notice again what Jesus said in John 6:47: "…he who believes in Me (Jesus Christ) has everlasting life." It doesn't say, "will have"; it says, "has." Therefore, the very moment you believe in Jesus Christ for His promise of everlasting life, you have it (it's really just that simple; nothing more and nothing less), and it can never be taken away from you (John 10:28-29). Furthermore, the gift (Ephesians 2:8c) of everlasting life (also called eternal life in scripture) is available to every human being; there are absolutely no exceptions.

John 3:14-15, 16, 17, 18, says: "¹⁴ And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, ¹⁵ that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. ¹⁶ For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. ¹⁷ For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. ¹⁸ He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." Point 5. America and Biblical Prophecy and the Role of the Pivot in the Last Days.

And we began with a simple but important question. Can it really be true? Is America found in Bible prophecy? And when I say found, I do not mean will it still be around in the last days, I mean will it have a prominent place in the fulfillment of prophecies concerning the last days?

Point 5 in our doctrine is basically found in Rev 13 concerning the two beasts that are mentioned. First of all, in the last days we are told that there will be two beasts that are a part of prophecy found in Rev 13 called the First Beast who comes out of the sea in Rev 13:1 and the Second Beast in Rev 13:11, that comes out of the earth. And so look at Rev 13:1, where the apostle John writes concerning the First Beast: And he [in context, a reference to the dragon also known as Satan in Rev 12] stood on the sand of the seashore. And I saw a beast [this is the first beast] coming up out of the sea, having ten horns and seven heads, and on his horns were ten diadems or crowns, and on his heads were blasphemous names. And I saw another beast [different than the First] coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spoke as a dragon.

We continue with our first two questions which I believe need to be identified and answered.

And here they are:

a. Who the First Beast in Rev 13:1-10 refers to.

b. Who the Second Beast in Rev 13:11-18 refers to.

Now, it may also be surprising, but there are many believers who believe that the United States is found in prophecy in the book of Revelation as having a major part in end-time events. I will try to explain the reason why many believe that it is and then leave it up to you to come to your own conclusions. You may disagree on this and you have every right to do so. I’m just going to assume that if the First Beast refers to the Roman Catholic Church (RCC) and the Papacy and the Second Beast refers to the USA, and the principles that we are noting have certain applications and interpretations to look for.

However, in the end you will have learned who and what the First Beast will be like, and who and what the Second Beast will look like, and what he does. So that the only thing left for you to do is to come up with the organizations that the beasts refer to! Here is a quick run-down of the 18 principles concerning what we are going to study in this passage.

1. Two world powers called beasts who are symbolized in Rev 13 and we are going to note who and what they refer to?

2. How the first Beast who probably refers to the RCC and the papacy lost its world influence and power that it once possessed?

3. A new nation is predicted to arise around the same time the First Beast was being removed from its world-wide power and influence.

4. What was and is the significance of the First Beast, RCC and the pope “coming up out of the earth? “

5. This will lead us to our fifth question which is what nation is symbolized by its two lamb-like horns and absence of crowns?

6. What does it mean in Rev 13:11 says that the Second Beast (USA) will speak “as a dragon “?

7. What will this Second beast specifically do that will cause it to speak as a dragon?

8. How will the Second Beast (if it’s the USA) use force and manipulation and even utilize the death sentence which will be passed?

9. Will there be a government or a one world power that can really control the buying and selling of the people, if there is, who is it and how do they do it?

10. How strong and influential is the papacy today and how does it reveal its strength?

11. How strong and influential is the United States today, and how does it reveal its strength?

12. What are the factors in the USA that will set the stage for a worldwide law to execute those who refuse to violate the enforced law?

13. As world conditions worsen, what will Satan do to deceive the masses, and will he deceive ALL the nations in the earth?

Which, as we will see, may not really mean all the nations!

14. Will there be counterfeit revivals happening against the genuine worldwide revival sponsored by God’s end-time people or the pivot of the Tribulation period?

In fact, I will prove to you through-out the scriptures where the pivot of believers actually comes from in the Tribulation period since all believers are removed at the Rapture. I’ll give you a hint. It has to do with Crisis Evangelism and Rev 7:4, And I heard the number of those who were sealed, one hundred and forty four thousand sealed from every tribe of the sons of Israel: Also remember the first 3.5 years of the Tribulation Period is said to be a time of peace and prosperity, even if it is a false peace and false prosperity, but there is the doctrinal principle of 2Ch 14:7, when God gives rest, it’s time to build.

15. We will also note how the Second Beast (USA) imposes the death sentence on its enemies and convince people that God is with them?

16. Then we will see how believers can we be safe from these powerful end-time deceptions?

17. What are you willing to do when this happens and you may be around in the beginning stages before the Rapture.

18. Then we will end this point in our doctrine of the Pivot with you being able to answer “What is the conclusion that you have come to and what are you willing to do because of it?”

Our first point of consideration is the fact that: Two world powers are symbolized in Revelation chapter 13. What is the first power? Answer: The first power refers to Rome and the Roman Papacy.

Now, we have spent enough time on documenting who the First Beast refers to which is the Roman Catholic Church and what Rev 13:1 refers to when it says; Rev 13:1, And he [a reference to Satan who is mentioned at the end of the 12th chapter] stood on the sand of the seashore. And I saw a beast coming up out of the sea, having ten horns and seven heads, and on his horns were ten diadems, and on his heads were blasphemous names.

If this was our main subject and not the role of the pivot in the last days, I would spend hours teaching you why I believe that the First Beast mentioned in this passage is also related to the Great Whore of Babylon or none other than the Roman papacy or the RCC and the place of the Pope. If we look at Rev 17 and chapter 18, this principle will be easily discerned by comparing scripture with scripture because there are at least eight major descriptions that the beast and the great whore of Babylon are intimately related because they are not as some say, one and the same. In fact, before I prove this to you I’ll just give you this much info so far so that you can understand what I mean when I say the Great Whore of Babylon are not one and the same but they are intimately related-though the intimacy is evil!

John is going to tells us in Rev 17:3, And he [one of the angels] carried me away in the Spirit into a wilderness; and I saw a woman [and then notice what this woman is doing] sitting on a scarlet beast, full of blasphemous names, having seven heads and ten horns.

Rev 17:7, And the angel said to me, “Why do you wonder? I shall tell you the mystery of the woman and of the beast that carries her, which has the seven heads and the ten horns.

Q: What is the main symbol of this woman riding the beast?

A: It is a clear symbol of a uniting of church and state with the church the one being in control.

This study about the whore of Babylon is such an important one because of the time in which we are living in, and as you look at this with open eyes, you have to have God guide you and teach you His truth. The final judgment is soon to fall upon this world and also upon Spiritual Babylon, so you really need to find out who the whore is to make sure you are not joined with her and also not receive her plagues.

A lot of people today believe that Babylon is Islam. Some people even believe that Babylon is a literal city like New York. But I want to show you from the Bible why this cannot be right. For example, in Rev 17, Babylon is guilty of committing FORNICATION and is a WHORE. What is fornication as it is used in the Bible in connection with God? Well, we need to find out the BIBLICAL meaning of fornication. In the Bible, many times fornication is used referring to the act of committing adultery against God by mixing with other Pagan nations and pagan practices (traditions) and going after other gods. Even the apostle James warned the Jews of the early church not to fall into this trap when he said in James 4:4, You adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? Therefore, whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.

Note that he called them adulteresses and not adulterers because he is talking to the church and therefore the bride of Christ who is a she not a he. Look at how God described this in the book of Ezekiel speaking to His people:

Eze 16:26-32, “You also played the harlot with the Egyptians, your lustful neighbors, and multiplied your harlotry to make Me angry. Behold now, I have stretched out My hand against you and diminished your rations. And I delivered you up to the desire of those who hate you, the daughters of the Philistines, who are ashamed of your lewd conduct. Moreover, you played the harlot with the Assyrians because you were not satisfied; you even played the harlot with them and still were not satisfied. You also multiplied your harlotry with the land of merchants, Chaldea, yet even with this you were not satisfied. How languishing is your heart,“ declares the Lord God, “while you do all these things, the actions of a bold faced harlot. When you built your shrine at the beginning of every street and made your high place in every square, in disdaining money, you were not like a harlot. You adulteress wife, who takes strangers instead of her husband!”

God’s people in the Old Testament committed fornication against God and became a whore.

And this is the important Biblical point. When God is talking about people committing adultery and being a whore in a prophetic, spiritual sense, like He is in Revelation, He is talking about people committing adultery AGAINST HIM. Cheating on Him with their love for the world or the cosmos as it were. And the only people who can be guilty of committing fornication (or adultery) against God today are believers. Those who are outside the Christian faith CANNOT commit adultery against God because they are not married to Him. Only Christians can commit adultery against God, because Christ Jesus is the husband (Bridegroom) and the church is His wife (bride).

So, Babylon the Great HAS to be a professing Christian church. Do you see this vital truth? So why can’t this be Islam? Because Islam rejects Jesus Christ as it’s Savior and therefore Muslims are not married to Christ. He is not their husband. Therefore, they cannot commit adultery against God and be a whore, because they are not married to Him in the first place. Also Islam does not have the proper system of organization or the global political reach to be able to have control over “all the kings of the world.” Plus, Muslims can’t agree amongst themselves and are constantly warring against each other. In fact, as we noted recently, more Muslims have been killed by other Muslims than by Jews.

There is only ONE religion which is regarded as the mother church who has the world political reach to be Babylon! And here is more proof. In Rev 18 we read about the judgment of the Whore of Babylon. Look at Rev 18:21, And a strong angel took up a stone like a great millstone and threw it into the sea, saying, “Thus will Babylon, the great city, be thrown down with violence, and will not be found any longer.” By the way sometimes a city is mentioned referring to the literal city but that does not exclude further implications regarding political and religious systems connected with the city.

Then it says concerning the great whore of Babylon in Rev 18:23 and the light of a lamp will NOT shine in you any longer; and the voice of the bridegroom and bride will not be heard in you any longer; for your merchants were the great men of the earth, because all the nations were deceived by your sorcery. Whether we take this symbolically or literally, there is only one kind of place this could be talking about.

If we take this symbolically, then the bride and Bridegroom is a Biblical reference to Jesus Christ and His church; John 3:29; 2Co 11:2.
John 3:29, “He who has the bride is the bridegroom; but the friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice. And so, this joy of mine has been made full.

2Co 11:2, For I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy; for I betrothed you to one husband, that to Christ I might present you as a pure virgin.

If we take this literally, then where do we see brides and bridegrooms? Normally in our dispensation, in a Church. But even more than that that the great whore of Babylon in Rev 18:23 is told that “the light of a lamp will NOT shine in you any longer;” meaning at one time the light of the lamp was shining in the spiritual Babylon as the light of the world. And the voice of the bridegroom and bride will not be heard in you any longer; which refers to the voice of the Lord Jesus Christ, the bridegroom, and the voice or the doctrines of the Church who is the bride, will also no longer be heard.

Which means once again that this could not be a reference to Muslims nor a reference to their mosque.

It is a reference to Jesus Christ and His bride called the Church. So, the Great Whore of Babylon who has committed fornication has to be a Christian organization that was once based upon the Christian faith having nothing to do with Islam or the Muslims. Also note that Babylon cannot be America or any other country, because Bible prophecy clearly portrays a country as a BEAST, not a woman.

Dan 7:23, “Thus he said: ‘The fourth beast will be a fourth kingdom on the earth,

God has given us a number of identification marks so that we do not need to second guess who the whore of Babylon is, also known as Babylon the Great. But first, just to confirm before we get into the various identification marks of Babylon, a woman in prophecy represents a church. The Lord is the Husband of His church and the Church is His Bride.

The woman in Rev 12 represented the prophecy before the Church-age began where Satan tried to destroy the Jews and also Satan does the same thing after the Rapture, he tries to destroy the Jews again. Both times Israel is called a woman, but not the Bride because the Bride is not around when Satan tries to destroy the Jews. However, the pure Church of Christ, also found in Eph 5, is the same as the woman in Rev 17 who represents a fallen, apostate church. Remember how Eph 5 reveals the church as the true bride of Christ. Paul ends that chapter concerning husbands and wives by saying in

Eph 5:32, This mystery [Christian marriage] is great; but I am speaking with reference to Christ and the Church.

So, if the whore of Babylon represents a church, then it obviously cannot simply be a city like New York or any other religion like Islam. It HAS to be a professed Christian church. In fact, one Theologian, Cardinal Gibbons in his book called “Faith of our fathers” said – “The penetration of the religion of Babylon became so general and well known that Rome was called the ‘New Babylon’.”

So, what is the main symbol of this woman riding the beast? It is a clear symbol of a uniting of church and state, with the church the one being in control. Let’s look at the other identification marks of Babylon the Great to find out exactly who this whore is.

Identification Marks of the Whore of Babylon

Rev 17:1, “Come here, I shall show you the judgment of the great harlot who sits on many waters,”

So, this church, the whore of Babylon, sits upon many waters. What does this mean? Well, if we let the Bible interpret itself, we can find out the answer, Rev 17:15.

REV 17:15, And he said to me, “The waters which you saw where the harlot sits, are peoples and multitudes and nations and tongues.”

So, the waters represent the people and nations around the world. Now, if you sit upon something, then you are being supported by that object. So, this is a church that has WORLDWIDE support from all different people and nations. The Roman Catholic Church is the biggest church in the world with over 1 BILLION members?

Rev 17:2, “the kings of the earth committed acts of immorality, and those who dwell on the earth were made drunk with the wine of her immorality.”

It was Adolf Hitler who made this statement: “I learned much from the Order of the Jesuits, Until now, there has never been anything more grandiose, on the earth, than the hierarchy of the organization of the Catholic Church…I transferred much of this organization into my own party.”

So, this is a church that has influenced kings throughout the past 2000 years and continues to have diplomatic relations with nations all over the world. We know from history that the Popes of the RCC certainly had authority over the kings of the earth, which is how the Catholic Church was able to have so many killed during the dark ages and inquisitions. It is the ONLY religious institution that can have diplomatic relations with the kings of the world.

Rev 17:2, with whom the kings of the earth committed acts of immorality, [and then notice next] and those who dwell on the earth were made drunk with the wine of her immorality.”

The inhabitants of the earth have certainly been made drunk with the false teachings (wine) of the Catholic Church. Images, crosses and adoration; intercession of Mary; Prayers to Mary and the saints; Mass; Confession to priests; Purgatory; Prayers for the dead; Holy water; Lent; Penances; Celibacy of the clergy; etc. None of these are Biblical institutions. Instead they are borrowed from Paganism and have been adopted by the harlot church of Rome.

Rev 17:3, “I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast, full of blasphemous names, having seven heads and ten horns.”

This beast is the same as the red dragon we find in Revelation chapter 12. Rev 12 tells us that the dragon is Satan, that old serpent called the devil. But we need to add some logic to this. Why does the dragon have seven heads and ten horns? The same as the beast in Revelation 13? And Revelation 17 tells us that those ten horns represent kings and-or kingdoms.

Logic would tell us that this dragon does not only represents Satan, but also a civil power. But which civil power? Rev 12:4 perhaps gives us a strong clue, Rev 12:4b, And the dragon stood before the woman who was about to give birth, so that when she gave birth he might devour her child. So, the dragon waited for this child to be born to kill him. And who is the child? Well, Revelation 12:5 tells us that he was caught up to God and His throne. There is only one MALE child who ended up going to Heaven and more specifically to God’s own throne, and that of course was Jesus Christ.

So, this child whom Satan wanted to devour as soon as He was born was Jesus. And who did Satan use to try and kill Jesus when He was born? Well, he didn’t try to use the JEWS because under Roman law they couldn’t use capital punishment even if they wanted to. So, who did Satan try and use? He tried and used The king of ROME, who, of course failed, even though a Roman ruler, Herod had all male infants killed; Matt 2:16. So this red dragon also represents Rome.

So which civil power does Rev 17 tell us the woman gets her seat and authority from? It is Rome! And who did the Roman Catholic Church get her seat and authority from? Also, Rome! So, who is the whore of Babylon? It is the Roman Catholic Church.

No other church, religion, kingdom or institution matches her like the Papal Church of Rome does.

And God is calling His people out of Babylon and the other fallen churches of the world (Babylon’s daughters). It’s not just the Roman Catholic Church that God is calling His people out of. There is a great ecumenical movement happening today that is uniting all churches and faiths together.

And if your church accepts this ecumenical movement, then you need to come out of that church also.

Rev 17 says that Babylon has daughters, and her daughters are the apostate churches that came out of the RCC during the reformation. This refers to those churches who may have left the catholic church only to become fallen apostate in other areas through legalism, religion, and the different cults that have emerged even from the reformation.

Rev 17:4, And the woman was clothed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls, having in her hand a gold cup full of abominations and of the unclean things of her immorality,

The main colors of this church, the whore of Babylon, is Purple and Scarlet, and it is also a very wealthy church that is decked out with gold and precious stones.

Did you know that the main colors of the Bishops and Cardinals in the Catholic Church are Purple and Scarlet?

Did you know that the Roman Catholic Church is one of, if not the most wealthiest institution in the world?

Did you know that the Vatican is decked out with gold and precious stones? Did you know that some of the coins that the Vatican has had produced has images of a woman with a golden cup in her hand on them. Blatantly boasting of who she is! This cup full of abominations is also a symbol that the sins of this church are so great and full that it is now a fallen, apostate church that can never be the Church of Jesus Christ.

The sins of the Roman Catholic Church are immense, with its idolatry, murder, child abuse and so on, that she has committed throughout her history, and continues to commit. And when the mark of the Papal Church is enforced upon the world, the message of Rev 18:2 will go out to the world, and her fall into apostasy will be complete!

Rev 18:2, And he cried out with a mighty voice, saying, “Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great! And she has become a dwelling place of demons and a prison of every unclean spirit, and a prison of every unclean and hateful bird.”

Rev 18:21 tells us of her final destiny: And a strong angel took up a stone like a great millstone and threw it into the sea, saying, “Thus will Babylon, the great city, be thrown down with violence, and will not be found any longer.”

Rev 17:5 and upon her forehead a name was written, a mystery, “BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.”

Notice the word mystery, the whore of Babylon is shrouded in mystery. There is certainly a lot of mysterious behavior that goes on with the Papacy. What about Babylon the Great being the “MOTHER of harlots”? Did you know that many of the apostle churches that now even claim to be Protestant churches CAME OUT of the RCC? Did you know that many of them are now going back to the Catholic Church? There is no other church that has harlot daughters like the Papal Church of Rome does. And she is even regarded as the “mother” church. Literal Babylon from the Old Testament is the original mother of abominations, but the RCC is the spiritual mother of abominations that took on many of the Pagan customs of original Babylon. And if you really want to be shocked look up the shocking list of the Vatican crimes against children!

Rev 17:6, And I saw the woman drunk with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the witnesses of Jesus.

So, this church, the whore of Babylon is drunk with the blood of the saints. It says that she is DRUNK with the blood of God’s people. So, this church is guilty of not just killing a few Christians. Did you know that the RCC has caused millions and millions of Christians to be persecuted and brutally murdered? Yes, this woman is the Roman Catholic Church (RCC) indeed!

Rev 17:18, “And the woman whom you saw is the great city, which reigns over the kings of the earth.”

Many people look at this verse and proclaim that it is New York because it certainly seems like it is Sodom and Gomorrah. Or it’s Hollywood! Maybe even Chicago because of crime. Or maybe Miami because of lust, drugs or materialism. They totally disregard all the other characteristics of Babylon, which show that the whore of Babylon cannot just be a literal city like New York. However, if we take ALL the identification marks together, including this city one, then we can see who it is. We know from the evidence that Babylon the Great is a church. So how can we bring this church and city together?

What is the one city which is also a church that reigns over the nations of the world? What one city, which is also a church has diplomatic relations with virtually all the world’s nations? The answer is Vatican City. The Papacy is so influential and powerful that nearly every major country consults her before making major policy moves.

Rev 17:6, And when I saw her, I wondered greatly.

This verse is tied in with the persecution by this power upon God’s people. But John already saw great persecution upon God’s people at the hands of Pagan Rome when he was alive. So why the astonishment? Because John sees an actual professed Christian church doing the persecution and killing God’s people. This was an astonishment to John! The angel showed him the blood that the Roman Church, a professed church of Christ, was to spill in the name of Jesus. This was perplexing and an astonishment to him.

Preparing yourself for the study of God’s Word

Before we begin, if you are a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ (that is— you have trusted in Him for eternal life), it is important to prepare yourself to take-in God’s Word or participating in a Communion Service, so take a moment to name, cite or acknowledge your sins privately directly to God the Father. This will assure that you are in fellowship with God the Father and the Holy Spirit’s convicting ministry, also called the convincing ministry will then be able to teach you as the Holy Spirit is the real teacher and the pastor’s message is the vehicle the Holy Spirit uses to convince you what you are learning is true or not.

1 John 1:9, says—“If we confess [simply name, cite or acknowledge to God the Father] our sins [known sins], He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins [known sins] and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness [all unknown and forgotten sins];” NKJV (New King James Version); we call this REBOUND, read the full doctrine as to “why” we need to use 1 John 1:9 to grow spiritually. REBOUND

If you have never personally believed in the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior (that is, believed in Him for eternal life), the issue for you is not to name your sins to God; the issue for you is to believe by faith alone in Jesus Christ alone for eternal life and you will be saved the very second you believe in Him:

John 6:47 says: “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me [Jesus Christ] has everlasting life.” NKJV

Notice again what John 6:47 says, “he who believes in Me [Jesus Christ] has everlasting life.” It doesn’t say, “will have”; it says, “has.” Therefore, the very moment you believe Jesus Christ’s promise of everlasting life, you have it (it’s really just that simple), and it can never be lost or taken away from you (John 10:28-29). Furthermore, the gift of everlasting life (also called eternal life in scripture) is available to every human being; there are absolutely no exceptions.

John 3:14-18 says: “And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” NKJV

Let us now bow our hearts and take a moment to prepare for learning God’s Word, if there is any known sin in your life, this is the time to just cite it privately to God the Father with your thoughts directed towards Him. With your head bowed and your eyes closed, you have total privacy in your mind and soul:

Sermon: Thanksgiving Message 2019.

Luk 17:11-19 – This is not a Parable, nor is it a story, it is a documented fact of a “real event” that “really happened” after our Lord performed a miracle right before “everyone’s eyes.”

They were definitely ostracized and hated as if it was their fault that they had leprosy.

Vs 11 — on the way to Jerusalem as our Lord was passing through Samaria and Galilee that He was met by Ten Lepers who were begging to be healed.

1. In Luk 17:11, we have the type of Savior and Shepherd who seeks for us, we do not seek for Him.

The first form of Typology has God seeking for us, we do not seek for Him.

2. The next type comes from the phrase; “He was on the way to Jerusalem,” the Jewish City of our God.”

This represents the ultimate goal of living the spiritual life in time so that we can live and enjoy the Holy city of Jerusalem during the Millennium and then the eternal state.

3. This story of the Ten Lepers also tells us that our Lord also passed through Samaria – those who were half- Jews and half-gentiles.

4. He passed through Galilee – those who were fully gentiles and not Jewish at all.

No matter what we study in the Word of God never ceases to amaze us.

As one of the most fantastic languages of the Bible, some interesting grammatical rules apply whereby there are times that the writer can even get the emotion of a word down in the written page.

To know the original language that is used in the Bible is without a doubt, one of the most powerful weapons any of us could ever have.

Scores and scores of people who had all kinds of diseases heard that Jesus was coming by and they all wanted a miracle of some sought, especially a certain village.

When you get right down to it, there are two words in this verse that describe the importance of being in the right place at the right time.

The conclusion that we would come to is that the phrase translated a “certain village” really refers to the “Divine Will of God” for our lives.

It is called in the original Greek language of the Bible “tis kome” meaning a certain time, a certain place or a special time, or a time of intimacy.

Ten Lepers who, in the “natural realm” were reminded of their disease every time they look into the reflection of themselves in the water of a lake or a pond.

Just like we do and feel when we look into the water of the word of God and see our Leprous condition without Him.

This happens to all of us at certain times, especially when we hear a doctrinal truth that really convicts us of the presence of our “spiritual leprosy.”

Here is an amazing miracle that is not magic or trickery, but the super-natural power of our Lord revealed by the instant healing of Ten Men with Leprosy.

Healing just one would have glorified the Lord but our Lord healed Ten at once.

Before the cure to Leprosy was discovered, it was one of those diseases that destroyed Nations, states, cities, etc.

It also promoted suicide, murder, deformity, a breakdown in the mentality of the soul, physical blindness, deafness, and a shiggaon mentality which qualifies the individual to have to live in quarantine.

Along with the excruciating pain, there is sorrow, guilt, fear, but, probably the most painful of them all, = the fear of rejection and not being loved.

Here is an amazing miracle, the healing of ten men from one of the most disgusting diseases in the Bible.

Along with having boils all over your body which was grotesque and painful, leprosy was very humiliating and disgusting to look upon.

It is a tribute to modern medicine that most of us know very little about the disease called leprosy.

Most of us have never seen a leper.

Those in the ancient world who was suspected of having the disease was banished from society.

In the rabbinic writings we find remedies for various diseases but nothing is listed for leprosy.

The rabbis said that curing leprosy was almost like raising the dead.

1. Leprosy was a hideous disease which is known as Hansen’s Disease today, after the Norwegian doctor who in 1873 discovered that filthy bacteria that caused the disease and how to deal with it.

The Bible words translated “leprosy” actually cover a broad range of skin diseases, which is why some modern translations say that leprosy was “an eruptive gross skin disease.”

1. A patch of skin is discolored.

2. The patches of skin turn white or pink and begins to spread rapidly in all directions in all areas of the body.

3. The disease spreads to various internal organs as well. The eyebrows may disappear, and spongy tumors appear all over the body.

4. Tissue begins to disintegrate causing the hands and feet to become deformed.

5. The nerve endings of the body are destroyed.

Leprosy was feared by the ancients because it produced such terrible results, and because it was contagious and could not be cured by man.

Point 4 in our doctrine of the Pivot deals with the Relationship between the Pivot of Believers toward The Jews And The Nation Of Israel. We have noted some of the principles that the pivotal believer must learn from the nation of Israel when they failed as nation being under the Law and we must learn from born again Jews who failed to fulfill their responsibilities to God. What are some of the most important principles of doctrine we can learn from them?

First of all, you need to remember that Israel was founded on God’s word, dedicated to His will, and set apart for His purposes. Isa 43:21, “The people whom I formed for Myself, Will declare My praise.” God blessed them with prosperity, power, security, peace, and a place at the head of nations. But the people of Israel made a fatal mistake, in the midst of their blessings, they turned away from God. They began to remove Him from their lives. They began to do something we must guard ourselves against and that is THEY BEGAN TO FORGET!

This is what happens within a Client nation when it rejects the Lord, let’s begin by identifying historical trends that a nation will and what the manifestations of their negative volition will look like. So, we need to identify the times in which we live as well as discern the historical trends that are taken place in our nation today. Need I remind you of the signs given in the last days before the Lord comes back or in the last days of a client nation to God, before the Lord takes them out by means of defeat on the battlefield and-or by means of the fifth cycle of discipline.

We begin again in 2Ti 3:1, But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. Paul is saying, Don’t be naive. There are difficult times ahead.

2Ti 3:2-6, For men will be lovers of self, people are going to be self absorbed, lovers of money, money hungry, boastful, self promoting, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, or literally contemptuous of parents or scornful of parents, speaking evil of their parents and judging them. unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited bloated windbags, lovers of pleasure or lust rather than lovers of God; holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; and avoid such men as these. For among them are those who enter into households and captivate weak women weighed down with sins, led on by various impulses, always learning and never able to come to the epignosis knowledge of the truth.

These are the kind of people who smooth talk themselves into the homes of unstable and needy and take advantage of them. Usually, they are males who work on the needs of females. The reason why the carnal believer does not metabolize doctrine is simply because the power of the Holy Spirit does not function in the cosmic system. They are always learning academic subjects and doctrine, but it is all gnosis and only academic. They are never able to come to epignosis doctrine.

2Ti 3:8, And just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses – that is they opposed the authority of Moses, so these men also oppose the truth, men of depraved mind, rejected as regards the faith or regarding doctrine.

Jewish tradition says that Jannes and Jambres were the two chief magicians who withstood Moses and Aaron in Exo 7, when Pharaoh asked Aaron to do a miracle in front of him to prove that God was with the Jews. So, Aaron threw his staff down in front of Pharaoh and his officials, and it became a serpent. Now, apparently Pharaoh was not impressed, and so thinking that it was just a trick, he summoned his so-called wise men and sorcerers, and the Egyptian magicians also did the same things by their secret arts: Each one threw down his staff and it became a snake. Aaron’s staff swallowed up their staffs” (Exo 7:10-12), and under the first mention principle it illustrated that the plan of God would destroy the work of Satan.

The names “Jannes” and “Jambres” appear in the Talmud as well. According to one commentator, the two magicians left Egypt with the Israelites after the first Passover and were later instrumental in promoting the worship of the golden calf that Aaron made (Exo 32). In other words they were constantly a thorn in Moses’ side and continued to exert a wicked influence on Israel until the time that Moses finally drove them out. Always remember Gal 5:9, A little leaven leavens the whole lump of dough. Sometimes you just have to get rid of those who attack the one in authority over the people of God before it’s too late. As the apostle Paul said in 1Co 15:33, Do not be deceived: “Bad company corrupts good morals.”

Now, since we are in the epistle of Timothy look at 2Ti 2:16-17, where later on the apostle said in 2Ti 2:16-17, But avoid worldly and empty chatter, for it will lead to further ungodliness, and their talk will spread like gangrene or cancer. [Then Paul did something that a lot of believers don’t like, he named those who would cause division when he said Among them are Hymenaeus and Philetus] ,

In 1Ti 1:19-20, Paul said keeping faith and a good conscience, which some have rejected and suffered shipwreck in regard to their faith. Among these are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I have delivered over to Satan, so that they may be taught not to blaspheme. Then later on Paul said in 2Ti 4:14, Alexander the coppersmith did me much harm; the Lord will repay him according to his deeds.

So back in 2Ti 3, Paul’s His intention was to use the wickedness of Jannes and Jambres, as presented in the Torah, as an illustration of a widespread, active rejection of the truth in the last days. Paul goes on to say in 2Ti 3:9, But they will not make further progress; for their folly will be obvious to all, as also that of those two came to be

The point is to remind us of the fact that we live in a day an age and in a time of human history in our nation that if believers do not become a part of the pivot, we are going to be in real trouble as a nation. There is absolutely no hope whatsoever for our nation to recover from its fallen state unless the pivot of believers increases. This falls under the principle that: As goes the believer, so goes the nation.

How important is having a pivot of spiritually adult believers?

Well, let me illustrate it for you with a passage. In Gen 18, Abraham was sitting at the tent door (in Mam-ra) and he lifted up his eyes and there were three men, actually Angels, coming toward him and when he saw them, he ran from the tent door to meet them, and bowed down before them. The reason why he bowed down before them is because he knew one of them was Jehovah Elohim, the Lord God, appearing as a Theophany.

In Gen 18:20-22, the Lord said, “The outcry of Sodom and Gomorrah is indeed great, and their sin is exceedingly grave. I will go down now, and see if they have done entirely according to its outcry, which has come to Me; and if not, I will know.” Then the men turned away from there and went toward Sodom, while Abraham was still standing before the Lord.

The best estimates from Historical and Archaeological Evidence for Biblical Accounts, the population of Sodom at this time was anywhere between 600-1,200 people, so it was not an over-populated city. Just to play it safe, we will compromise and say the population of Sodom to be around 900. So, next, let’s get a little background to our passage.

The names Sodom and Gomorrah are actually bywords in our modern society used especially for a wicked place, especially in the sexual realm. Pastors are sometimes said to be preaching “fire and brimstone” when they talk about sexual sins because the Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah with fire and brimstone. And we also have the legal term sodomy for unnatural sex acts.

In Jud 1:7 we read, just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities around them, since they in the same way as these indulged in gross immorality and went after strange flesh, are exhibited as an example, in undergoing the punishment of eternal fire.

This reference to “going after strange flesh” is understood in different ways to include bestiality, having illicit sex with strangers, having sex with angels, but most often God’s destruction of the populations of the four cities is interpreted to mean homosexuality. Now this was the sin of Sodom: She and her daughters were arrogant, overfed and unconcerned; they did not help those in need at all but were known for using people for self-gratification. The Bible that they were arrogant and did detestable things before the Lord and therefore the Lord did away with them. In fact, notice the indictment God accused the apostate Jews of: Eze 16:48, “As I live,” declares the Lord God, “Sodom, your sister, and her daughters, have not done as you and your daughters have done.” The Lord is saying to the apostate Jews, this was the iniquity of your sister Sodom: pride, overabundance of food, prosperous ease, and idleness were hers and her daughters neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy. Eze 16:49-50, “Behold, this was the guilt of your sister Sodom: she and her daughters had arrogance, abundant food, and careless ease, but she did not help the poor and needy. Thus, they were haughty and committed abominations before Me. Therefore, I removed them when I saw it.”

Gen 18:23-32, And Abraham came near and said, “Wilt Thou indeed sweep away the righteous with the wicked? “Suppose there are fifty righteous within the city; wilt Thou indeed sweep it away and not spare the place for the sake of the fifty righteous who are in it? Far be it from Thee to do such a thing, to slay the righteous with the wicked, so that the righteous and the wicked are treated alike. Far be it from Thee! Shall not the Judge of all the earth deal justly?” So, the Lord said, “If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare the whole place on their account.” And Abraham answered and said, “Now behold, I have ventured to speak to the Lord, although I am but dust and ashes. Suppose the fifty righteous are lacking five, wilt Thou destroy the whole city because of five?” And He said, “I will not destroy it if I find forty five there.” And he spoke to Him yet again and said, “Suppose forty are found there?” And He said, “I will not do it on account of the forty.” Then he said, “Oh may the Lord not be angry, and I shall speak; suppose thirty are found there?” And He said, “I will not do it if I find thirty there.” And he said, “Now behold, I have ventured to speak to the Lord; suppose twenty are found there?” And He said, “I will not destroy it on account of the twenty.” Then he said, “Oh may the Lord not be angry, and I shall speak only this once; suppose ten are found there?” And He said, “I will not destroy it on account of the ten.”

Using our estimate of 900 people populating Sodom, there were not even 10 righteous believers found in Sodom, which would have been a pivot of about 1%. Because the Lord is the same yesterday, today and forever, and because of Act 34, we are forced to conclude that if the pivot of believers is as low as 1% , that because of them God would spare their nation. As goes the believe, so goes the nation!

Now, it has been said, “A nation that does not learn from history, is bound to repeat it.” As Hegel said If we have learned anything from history, it is that we have learned nothing from history. In fact, Aldous Huxley said “That men do not learn very much from the lessons of history is the most important of all the lessons of history.” Another epigram is that “History repeats itself because no one was listening the first time.” “If we do not learn from the mistakes of history, we are doomed to repeat them.” I was given an article once entitled “Will America Learn from Rome?” by Art Fisher. And I would like to end this message with some interesting observations concerning our country and its’ client nation status.

Mr. Fisher states “It is evident that the United States has ignored the lessons of the past and has trodden the same road that led to the decline and fall of great nations like Carthage, Greece, and Rome.” Now, there are several absolutes which stand out in the 6,000+ years of recorded history that are worthy to note:

Let’s note some of them;

1. First of all, no nation has survived its greatness beyond 50 years once it lost its first war. By the way, we did not win in Korea or Vietnam! And although we have not been completely destroyed as a nation, we have definitely been on the road to losing our greatness.

2. Secondly, every nation that has neglected or refused to stand by and defend its allies has perished. This does not mean to interfere with their governments and to police the world. It does mean however to operate as trustworthy friends who can be trusted.

3. Every nation that has compromised with its enemies eventually finds itself “conquered by” or “left at the mercy of its enemies.”

4. Every nation that openly condoned sexual deviancy ended up on the dung heap of “has-been” empires.

5. Every nation that refused to execute its capital crime offenders succumbed to a lawless society before losing its sovereignty and status as a nation. They literally destroyed themselves from within. Some of these facts may have changed a little but if they have they have changed for the worse. And this does originate with me the research of Mr. Fisher, though I have found other survey’s and statics that agree with his.

It is a sad commentary on the United States of America today that: Every 6 seconds a major crime occurs, every 30 seconds a personal assault occurs, every 50 seconds a robbery occurs, every 6 minutes a person is raped, every 22 minutes a murder takes place. We are literally destroying ourselves from within.

6. Without exception, when a nation’s people turn their back on morals, that nation always falls back into a state of slavery and tyranny.

7. Whenever a nation fails to support its military as a protector of national freedom, politicians always bring forth tyranny and use the military to enslave the nation’s citizens.

Abraham Lincoln gave fair warning of these facts of history when he confirmed that America would never fall by an overwhelming enemy invasion from without, unless the people from within, failed to maintain the strength, morals, and foundations this “republic” was founded upon. As a free people, Americans have forfeited their rights of “liberty” by permitting this nation to deteriorate and evolve from a Republic into a Democracy. Professor Alexander Fraser Tytler wrote two hundred years ago when America was still 13 colonies: “A Democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government; it can only exist until the voters discover they can vote themselves gifts and benefits, such as welfare, out of the public treasury.” He said from that moment on the majority always votes for the candidate promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that Democracy always collapses over a loose fiscal policy, always to be followed by a dictatorship.”

Now, I thought it would also be interesting to note the conditions which existed in Rome around the year 200 AD just before the Roman Empire was about to crumble from within, just as America is today:

1. The Romans had become corrupted by their wealth, prosperity, and materialism, it being the criteria for their social and political status. This, of course, produced a society of spoiled little brats who were very unappreciative of what they had.

2. The population of the cities, especially in Rome, was decreasing. People fled the big cities in favor of the country because of crime, inflation, and loss or lack of employment. Family life was in a shambles.

The Free Farmer class had literally disappeared, due to Rome’s interference with trade and farm programs. Finally, all the food was being imported, even from some of Rome’s enemies. The provinces did their own manufacturing and farming and no longer needing to trade with Rome.

The cost of living was sky high with inflation sweeping the land. The cost of government stole a major portion of the people’s prosperity and existence.

Government promoted welfare programs, supported many thousands of people. Unemployment was rampant; as Rome perpetuated its welfare state. Poverty and deprivation rapidly increased.

Government intrusion into the lives and privacy of the people accelerated as Rome sent hundreds of information gatherers and tax collectors, using the pretext that it was necessary in order to help the people.

7. The economy was in constant upheaval. Since Rome had gone off the gold and silver standard, the money was unstable and continuously being devalued. —- just like our dollar — becoming less and less valuable.

Rome was heavily in debt. – last I heard we are 18.1 trillion in debt.

8. Manufacturing continued to decline, world trade dwindled. Imports far exceeded exports.

Trade balances were critical.

9. Finally came the time when the Roman government offered free land, if the people would only farm it.

But the people preferred ‘the government handouts of free bread and circuses. Sound familiar? They had become totally dependent on government for their very existence.

10. Immorality, greed, and fear swept the land like wildfire, as crime of every category increased at a rapid pace. Perversions of every sort flourished.

11. Taxation increased by leaps and bounds, along with the confiscation of property. Imprisonment and even death were the result of not being able to pay the taxes. Those who refused to conform were considered as political prisoners.

12. The people turned from morality. Those who didn’t were persecuted, laughed at, and mocked. They were considered not to be politically correct! Religious false doctrines and heresy became common. Free speech and religion became criminal acts against the state.

As a result of all this, the barbarian tribes to the north and east of Rome saw that the Empire was weakening from internal turmoil and dissension. Therefore, they developed and pursued campaigns to capitalize on Rome’s weakness to their advantage. Rome was forced to fight many wars to keep her enemies from invading and entering the Empire. And these wars taxed and fatigued the Roman armies and brought about many desertions and lowering of the morale of the troops. Pacifism and cowardice became rampant. Many refused to serve Rome, while others cried for peace or outright surrender. Fear of the Barbarians overruled their nationalistic allegiance to Rome.

The Barbarians also saw that the frontier forts were not well manned or armed and the men poorly trained. Rome had refrained from supporting her allies in the time of need, which contributed to the loss of Rome’s outer perimeters of defense. Rome could no longer hold her defenses and continued to lose one war after another. The Roman senate began to appease and compromise with the Barbarians without success. The combination of internal strife with the onslaughts of the Barbarians ultimately toppled Rome. The Roman Empire ended in 476 AD.

It becomes painfully obvious that the United States has been following the same path as Rome since the early 1900’s. Americans have failed to learn the lessons of history or to heed the warnings of their forefathers. And therefore, God gives us a warning of what He will do to a client nation that rejects Him and ends up on the road to self-destruction.
Therefore, we are now ready for Lev 26 and the five cycles of discipline next.

NOTES

Sermon: This dispensation concerning our Lord is a unique dispensation.

Chronology is a term used to display an arrangement of events in the order that they occur and concerning the study of the history and the dates of past events.

We need to look at the historical records or privileges that are supported by learning and metabolizing the word of God so that we are able to fulfill the “Divine call” from the grace and mercy.

I want to give you an outline to follow concerning what we will be studying concerning the dispensation or the period of time that our Lord was on this earth.

This dispensation concerning our Lord is a unique dispensation in which we are said to be “the called ones of Jesus Christ; Rom 1:6 among whom you also are the called of Jesus Christ;

1Pe 2:9 But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;

The Doctrine of the Dispensation of the hypostatic Union = it focuses upon one of the most important dispensations of all, and that is the dispensation of the hypostatic union.

This is such an important principle of doctrine seeing that it leads us to our Lord Jesus Christ, the Messiah, who is coming back to set up His kingdom on this earth.

The epistle of the Phillipians is one of the most gracious passages found in the “Word of God” that also ministers to all of us if we desire to be ministered to.

Let me point out some of these principles of doctrine so that we all will grow together as we want to worship our Lord and bring honor and glory to Him.

Something that is very vital for us to listen to or to learn from which also contributes the power we need to understand our Lord as well as the place and the role that believers.

This is another reason for us to go forward in the plan of God and one of those vital reasons of the plan of God has to do with having balance in living the spiritual life that our Lord places before us.

Prov 11:1 A false balance is an abomination to the Lord, But a just weight is His delight.

We need to have balance in our life and choose the doctrines that we are to learn and study or the doctrines that we like, we are to listen to what the Holy Spirit is saying to the Church.

When it comes to The Word of God, we need to look upon what our Lord has to say to us not what we want Him to say.

Prov 30:5 Every word of God is pure: He is a shield unto them that put their trust in Him. (KJ’s)

Look at some of the reasons that we have to keep certain blessings and promises in front of us — as we grow in the “Word of God.”

One of the main functions of living the spiritual life is that we are to master the principles of Bible doctrine so that we can “hear or see” the life of God in the souls of man.”

God not only provides doctrinal answers for all us but He also provides everything that we need to understand the doctrine so that we simply need to apply what we have learned.

His desire for us is to learn from each other how to know what we need to know because there is a spiritual solution to any problem that we may face.

Both of them have a great story to tell others about the “Word of God” which gives us great doctrinal views even though they may be difficult and hard to understand at certain times.

This section of the “Word of God” is a question concerning Chronology which is a part of the” order of the Divine Interpretations of the passage or the principles which we have been studying.

Here is a simple outline of the dispensation that we are noting which is the dispensation of the hypostatic Union which refers to “Undiminished Deity and True Humanity” of our Lord forever.

1. We began with a period of time before the creation of the world and before the creation of the Angels, as we have noted; Pro 8:1-36.

We noted some of the functions and responsibilities of the angels in eternity past before their rebellion when Satan convinced one third of God’s angels to rebel against our Lord.

Rev 12:4 “And his tail swept away a third of the stars (angels) of heaven, and threw them to the earth.“

Every angel had made a choice to either follow our Lord or reject our Lord and follow Satan and the Kingdom of darkness.

This is why the Angels are divided into two categories, either the Elect Angels or the fallen angels and this is also why the human race is divided into two categories; Believers or unbelievers.

What is it that the angelic race has in common with the human race?

2. We noted some of the functions and responsibility of the angels in eternity past before their rebellion when Satan convinced one third of God’s angels to rebel against our Lord.

This is why the Angels are divided into two categories, either the Elect Angels or the fallen angels and this is why the human race is divided into two categories; Believers or unbelievers.

3. This is why many of the Jews followed our Lord as He was presented the doctrinal views in the Old Testament especially under the Mosaic Law.

1Co 1:22 For indeed Jews ask for signs, and Greeks search for wisdom;

God claims that the earth is round, Isa 40:22.

Isa 40:22 “It is He who sits above the circle of the earth, and its inhabitants are like grasshoppers.”

It wasn’t until the year, 1519-1521 that a Portuguese navigator, Fernando Magellan was the first to circle the earth.

Isa 40:21 Do you not know? Have you not heard? Has it not been declared to you from the beginning? Have you not understood from the foundations of the earth?

In Job 26:7, God claims that the earth is suspended on nothing but in space.

Job 26:7 “He stretches out the north over empty space, and hangs the earth on nothing.”

In Job 28:25, God claims that the air has weight. Job 28:25 “He imparted weight to the wind, and meted out the waters by measure.”

The fact that air has weight was not demonstrated until Pascal in 1648 proved that it did.

In Job 28:7, God claims that the vulture is guided by his sight; Job 28:7 The path no bird of prey knows, nor has the falcon’s eye caught sight of it.

Until recently it was believed that the vulture could scent from far away, but now modern science has proved that the vulture is guided rather by his “keenness of sight.”

In Dan 12:4, God claims that in the time of the end “many will go back and forth, and knowledge will increase.”

Dan 12:4 “But as for you, Daniel, conceal these words and seal up the book until the end of time; many will go back and forth, and knowledge will increase.”

Isa 60:8 Who are these who fly like a cloud, and like the doves to their lattices?

Isa 40:31 was actually a verse used by the Jews to persuade other Jews in Arabia to return to their homeland in Israel by airplane.

Isa 40:31 Yet those who wait for the Lord Will gain new strength; They will mount up with wings like eagles, They will run and not get tired, They will walk and not become weary.

In Nahum 2:4, referring to the Assyrian war chariots, God foreshadows fast transportation, possibly the automobile.

Nahum 2:4 The chariots race madly in the streets, they rush wildly in the squares, their appearance is like torches, they dash to and fro like lightning flashes.

4. We will also study what is known as a Theophany identified by the title called “The Angel of the Lord” or “The Angel of God.”

However, being a Theophany can also take the form of hiding in the clouds in the daytime or the pillar of fire in the night.

5. As a part of our Lord’s birth, there is also Biological life which is the extension of the woman’s life, it is not a human life or human soul until the fetus comes forth “from the womb.”

Then you have neshumah, the breath of life imputed to you.

This is when your life truly began because there is life in the womb but it is biological life which is the extension of the woman’s life.

It is not a human life or a human soul until the fetus comes forth from the woman and then you have neshumah, the breath of life imputed to you.

The Doctrine of the Pivot Part 4. The Relationship between
the Pivot of Believers toward the Jews and the Nation of Israel.

We are now ready for Point 4 in our Doctrine of the Pivot.

Remember Point 1 dealt with the definition and description of the Pivot which is defined as the accumulation of mature or spiritually adult believers living in a client nation in a specific geographical location, Matt 5:13-14.

Point 2 in our doctrine dealt with the relationship of the Pivot with the Client Nation.

Point 3. dealt with what I call the importance of the three “P’s,” the Pivot, Prayer and Protection for Israel.

Even though we are a Client Nation to God, and even though we still have a pivot of spiritually adult believers, neither the United States nor any other nation can afford anti-Semitism. Israel has a guaranteed national future which no human or satanic scheming can destroy. This is the legacy of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and the challenge to the Jew in every generation. Jesus Christ is the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. To deny Him signifies rejection of the spiritual heritage of the Jewish people and constitutes the underlying cause of many catastrophes in Jewish history.

All of the events that are taken place throughout the world testify that the world is on the eve of the most dramatic event of all time: the personal, visible return of our Lord Jesus Christ in power and glory. Think of it, at the same United Nations podium from which Mahmoud Abbas, the president of the state of Palestine announced yesterday that he would no longer be bound by and accords or promises and treaties made with Israel.

Then the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called on the Palestinian leader to begin immediate unconditional peace talks in a speech largely devoted to denouncing Iran for its threats to annihilate the Jewish State. And there was complete silence for 45 seconds and not one nation said a thing including the USA because our representative was given a written command not to attend the meeting. For President Barack Obama instructed U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry and U.N. Ambassador Samantha Power to be absent from the U.N. General Assembly during the Prime Minister’s speech Thursday night. An outright manifestation of anti-Semitism from our very own nation.

When everything is going in the Middle East with Russia, Iraq, Iran, the USA, Israel and Syria, it just so happens we have a major distraction in Oregon to divert the attention that should have been given to the Middle East. All of these things present a personal challenge. We can live in the present with hope, or with fear. We can share the glory of Christ at his coming, or face the terror of World War III.

Christ prophesied that the last days will reveal “distress of nations, with perplexity… men’s hearts failing them for fear”, but told his disciples that “when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draws near.” In Luk 21:25-28, although the interpretation if for the tribulation, the application could be just for us.

Luk 21:25-28, “And there will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and upon the earth dismay among nations, in perplexity at the roaring of the sea and the waves, men fainting from fear and the expectation of the things which are coming upon the world; for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. But when these things begin to take place, straighten up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.”

It is obvious that the Middle East is crucial to the world’s future which is why the major powers are always concerned when trouble erupts in that area. And so, on Friday evening we noted the importance of praying for our nation and also the nation of Israel! We also noted this very vital principle that when America withdraws her support and defense of Israel, God could take His hand of blessing off of the U.S. Perhaps He has already begun to do so since relations with Israel have cooled off lately. In Gen 12:2-3 and also in Num 24:9 we read, Blessed is everyone who blesses you, And cursed is everyone who curses you.”

Why We Should Pray for Israel?

There are dozens of Scriptures where God says that we should pray for the peace of Israel. These are all clear signals that God is pleased that we pray for Israel’s peace and safety because God has not, is not, or will not give up on Israel. This is why the apostle Paul said in Rom 10:1, Brethren, my heart’s desire and my prayer to God for them is for their salvation. Paul recognizes their need for salvation as well as the fact that God has not rejected His people, the Jews and the nation of Israel. And, if Paul is telling the church that his heart’s desire is to pray for Israel and that “they may be saved” that should clearly be our prayer for them also.

Rom 11:1-5, I say then, God has not rejected His people, has He? May it never be! For I too am an Israelite, a descendant of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. God has not rejected His people whom He foreknew. Or do you not know what the Scripture says in the passage about Elijah, how he pleads with God against Israel? “Lord, they have killed Thy prophets, they have torn down Thine altars, and I alone am left, and they are seeking my life.” But what is the divine response to him? “I have kept for Myself seven thousand men who have not bowed the knee to Baal.” In the same way then, there has also come to be at the present time a remnant according to God’s gracious choice.

Heb 13:5, “I will never desert you, nor will I ever forsake you,” Now, is there anything God can’t do? Yes, there is or there are things God cannot do! For example, “God cannot lie,” Titus 1:2; Heb 6:18. God can never leave us or forsake us! These things are impossible for Him to do, not because He doesn’t have a free will to do it but because He considers it impossible for Him to be what He claims to be and then to lie about it. And God claims to be faithful.

God can never, no, not ever leave us or forsake us! In fact, in Matt 28:20, “I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

Point 4. The Relationship between the Pivot of Believers toward The Jews And the Nation of Israel.

Because of Rom 15:4 and 1Co 10:6, which both point to the importance of learning from the Old Testament passages especially concerning the Jews as a people or race and Israel as a nation, What are some of the most important principles of doctrine we can learn from them? Well, first of all, you need to remember that Israel was founded on God’s word, dedicated to His will, and consecrated to His purposes. And God blessed it with prosperity, power, security, peace, and a place at the head of nations. But the people of Israel made a fatal mistake, in the midst of their blessings, they turned away from God. They began to remove Him from their lives. They began to do something we must always be ready not to do. They began to forget God!

It is a very sad indictment when we are not so wide awake to the wrongfulness of insufficient gratitude. We are all prone to let ourselves off too easily in this respect. Many times, we let our blessings take us away from our gratitude we should have toward God on a daily basis, which is manifested in our prayer life especially under the category of thankfulness in prayer. The memory of personal benefits to slip away when we fail to see our obligation for acts of unselfish service rendered to us by our Lord and even by our family and friends. Always remember the words of Solomon when he said in Ecc 4:9-12.

Ecc 4:9-12, Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor. For if either of them falls, the one will lift up his companion. But woe to the one who falls when there is not another to lift him up. Furthermore, if two lie down together they keep warm, but how can one be warm alone? And if one can overpower him who is alone, two can resist him. A cord of three strands is not quickly torn apart.

We forget sometimes the words of our Lord when He said in John 15:13, “Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.” We forget or willingly ignore certain passages like John 10:11 where our Lord said “I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep.” We forget passage like Matt 25:40 “Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me.”

When it comes to the Relationship between the Pivot of Believers toward the Jews and the Nation of Israel, we need to be reminded of passages such as found in Rom 11:13.
Rom 11:13-16, But I am speaking to you who are Gentiles [that’s us]. Inasmuch then as I am an apostle of Gentiles, I magnify my ministry, if somehow, I might move to jealousy my fellow countrymen [the Jews] and save some of them. For if their rejection be the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead? And if the root [Abraham] be holy, the branches are too [the descendants of Abraham who are believers].

In other words, if God rejected them temporarily and because of them being rejected the invitation went out to all the gentiles in the world, then think of the tremendous blessings that will take place when they recognize their acceptance with God.

Rom 11:17-19, But if some of the branches were broken off [some refers to those who would be cut off at that time and the time to follow, but not all because they, the Jews will eventually be grafted back in], and you, being a wild olive, were grafted in among them and became partaker with them of the rich root of the olive tree, do not be arrogant or boast toward or about the branches [don’t think that we’re something because God has accepted us]; but if you are arrogant or do boast, remember that it is not you who supports the root, but the root supports you.

The first piece of dough is a reference to Abraham and the patriarchs and the lump refers to the nation of Israel. Ultimately this is a reference to Jews who have supported us. The Bible was basically written by Jews, both the Old and the New Testament. The main race in the Bible are the Jews.

The main nation in the Bible is Israel. The authors in the Bible are basically all Jews. And of course, most importantly, our Lord was a Jew. So, never underestimate the values of the Jews and the nation of Israel to us, not because of anything good about them inwardly but because they are God’s chosen people in GRACE.

Rom 11:19-21, You will say then, “Branches were broken off so that I might be grafted in.” Quite right, they were broken off for their unbelief, but you stand by your faith. Do not be conceited, but fear; for if God did not spare the natural branches, neither will He spare you.

If we neglect God or reject Him, we won’t lose our salvation but we will be placed under divine discipline.

Rom 11:22-25, Behold then the kindness-the grace and severity of God; to those who fell, severity, but to you, God’s kindness, if you continue in His kindness or His grace; otherwise you also will be cut off. And they also, if they do not continue in their unbelief, will be grafted in; for God is able to graft them in again. For if you were cut off from what is by nature a wild olive tree, and were grafted contrary to nature into a cultivated olive tree, how much more shall these who are the natural branches be grafted into their own olive tree? For I do not want you, brethren, to be uninformed of this mystery, lest you be wise in your own estimation, that a partial hardening has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in;

The church is completed and the rapture takes place.

Rom 11:26-32, and thus all Israel will be saved [that is true Israel]; just as it is written, “The Deliverer will come from Zion, He will remove ungodliness from Jacob.” And this is My covenant with them, When I take away their sins.” From the standpoint of the gospel they are enemies for your sake, but from the standpoint of God’s choice they are beloved for the sake of the fathers [Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob etc.]; for the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. For just as you once were disobedient to God, but now have been shown mercy because of their disobedience, so these also now have been disobedient, in order that because of the mercy shown to you they also may now be shown mercy. For God has shut up all in disobedience that He might show mercy to all.

Now, the point is that the apostle Paul wants us to understand is that if God rejected the Jews for a period of time as His chosen people, it follows that He will do the same to those who have rejected Him as well. That’s why he says again in Rom 11:17-18, But if some of the branches were broken off [those who would be cut off at that time], and you, being a wild olive, were grafted in among them and became partaker with them of the rich root of the olive tree, do not be arrogant toward the branches; but if you are arrogant, remember that it is not you who supports the root, but the root supports you.

God is not a respecter of persons. He operates in justice and righteousness even before He operates in love. So, with all that as a reminder of what happens when a Client Nation rejects the Lord. Let’s identify the five cycles of discipline in a little more detail then we did last time, when we just read the passages.

And the only way we can that is to document what Moses taught concerning this principle under what we call the cycles of discipline which are basically divided into five parts according to Lev 26:14-38;

Deut 28:49-67. However, before we even do that, we need to identify the times in which we live as well as discern the historical trends that are taken place in our nation today.

Remember, one of our main passages that we have been noting in this doctrine of the pivot is found in Matt 16:3b when our Lord said, “Do you know how to discern the appearance of the sky, but cannot discern the signs of the times?” And along with this, need I remind you of the signs given in the last days before the Lord comes back or in the last days of a client nation to God, found in 2Ti 3:1-5, But realize this, that in the last days [that is of a client nation or just before the Lord comes back] difficult times will come. For men[Church-age believers] will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers or slanderers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving [without virtue love], irreconcilable [unforgiving], malicious gossips, without self control, brutal, haters of divine good, treacherous, reckless [thoughtless], conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God; holding to a form of godliness or living the spiritual life, although they have denied its power; and avoid such men as these. For among them are those who enter into households or literally worm their way and captivate weak women or flaky females and wimpy males, weighed down with sins, led on by various impulses, always learning and never able to come to the epignosis knowledge of the truth, And just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses – that is they opposed the authority of Moses, so these men also oppose the truth, men of depraved mind, rejected as regards the faith or regarding doctrine.

Jewish tradition says that Jannes and Jambres were the two chief magicians who withstood Moses and Aaron in Exo 7 when Aaron threw his staff down in front of Pharaoh and his officials, and it became a snake. Pharaoh then summoned wise men and sorcerers, and the Egyptian magicians also did the same things by their secret arts: Each one threw down his staff and it became a snake. But Aaron’s staff swallowed up their staffs.” Later, these same sorcerers duplicated the changing of water into blood and the production of frogs (Exo 8:7). However, the sorcerers were powerless to duplicate the other.

According to one commentator, the two magicians left Egypt with the Israelites after the first Passover and were later instrumental in promoting the worship of the golden calf that Aaron made. In other words, they were constantly a thorn in Moses’ side and continued to exert a wicked influence on Israel until the time that Moses finally drove them out. Always remember Gal 5:9, A little leaven leavens the whole lump of dough. Sometime you just have to get rid of those who attack the one in authority over the people of God before it’s too late. As the apostle Paul said in 1Co 15:33, Do not be deceived: “Bad company corrupts good morals.”

In 1Ti 1:19-20, Paul said, keeping faith and a good conscience, which some have rejected and suffered shipwreck in regard to their faith. Among these are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I have delivered over to Satan, so that they may be taught not to blaspheme.

Paul said in 2Ti 4:14, Alexander the coppersmith did me much harm; the Lord will repay him according to his deeds. So back in 2Ti 3, Paul’s intention was to use the wickedness of Jannes and Jambres, as presented in the Torah, as an illustration of a widespread, active rejection of the truth in the last days. Paul goes on to say 2Ti 3:9, But they will not make further progress; for their folly will be obvious to all, as also that of those two came to be. Now, the point of this passage in 2Ti 3 is to remind us of the fact that we live in a day an age and in a time of human history in our nation that if born-again believers do not become a part of the pivot, which has been our subject, then there is absolutely no hope whatsoever for our nation to recover from its fallen state.

It has been said, “A nation that does not learn from history, is bound to repeat it.” As Hegel said, If we have learned anything from history, it is that we have learned nothing from history. In fact, Aldous Huxley said “That men do not learn very much from the lessons of history is the most important of all the lessons of history.” “History repeats itself because no one was listening the first time.” “If we do not learn from the mistakes of history, we are doomed to repeat them.”

There are several absolutes which stand out in the 6,000 plus years of recorded history that are worthy to note: Let’s note some of them;

1. No nation has survived its greatness beyond 50 years once it lost its first war. By the way, we did not win in Korea or Vietnam! And although we have not been completely destroyed as a nation, we have definitely been on the road to losing our greatness.

2. Every nation that has neglected or refused to stand by and defend its allies has perished. This does not mean to interfere with their governments and to police the world. It does mean however to operate as trustworthy friends who can be trusted.

3. Every nation that has compromised with its enemies eventually finds itself conquered by or left at the mercy of its enemies.

4. Every nation that openly condoned sexual deviancy ended up on the dung heap of “has-been” empires.

5. Every nation that refused to execute its capital crime offenders succumbed to a lawless society before losing its sovereignty and status as a nation. They literally destroyed themselves from within.

Now, some of these facts may have changed a little but if they have, they have changed for the worse. It is a sad commentary on the United States of America today that every 6 seconds a major crime occurs:

Every 30 seconds a personal assault occurs.

Every 50 seconds a robbery occurs.

Every 6 minutes a person is raped.

Every 22 minutes a murder takes place.

We are literally destroying ourselves from within.

6. Without exception, when a nation’s people turn their back on morals, that nation always falls back into a state of slavery and tyranny.

7. Whenever a nation fails to support its military as a protector of national freedom, politicians always bring forth tyranny and use the military to enslave the nation’s citizens.

Abraham Lincoln gave fair warning of these facts of history when he confirmed that America would never fall by an overwhelming enemy invasion from without, unless the people from within, failed to maintain the strength, morals, and foundations this “republic” was founded upon. As a free people, Americans have forfeited their rights of “liberty” by permitting this nation to deteriorate and evolve from a Republic into a Democracy.

Professor Alexander Fraser Tytler wrote two hundred years ago when America was still 13 colonies: “A Democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government; it can only exist until the voters discover they can vote themselves gifts and benefits, such as welfare, out of the public treasury.”

It is interesting to note the conditions which existed in Rome around the year 200 AD just before the Roman Empire was about to crumble from within, just as America is today.

First of all, the Romans had become corrupted by their wealth, prosperity, and materialism, it being the criteria for their social and political status. This, of course, produced a society of spoiled little brats who were very unappreciative of what they had.

Secondly, the population of the cities, especially in Rome, was decreasing. People fled the big cities in favor of the country because of crime, inflation, and loss or lack of employment. Family life was in a shambles.

Thirdly, free farmer class had literally disappeared, due to Rome’s interference with trade and farm programs. Finally, all the food was being imported, even from some of Rome’s enemies. The provinces did their own manufacturing and farming and no longer needing to trade with Rome.

Fourth, the cost of living was sky high with inflation sweeping the land. The cost of government stole a major portion of the people’s prosperity and existence.

Fifth. Government promoted welfare programs, supported many thousands of people. Unemployment was rampant; as Rome perpetuated its welfare state. Poverty and deprivation rapidly increased.

Six, Government intrusion into the lives and privacy of the people accelerated as Rome sent hundreds of information gatherers and tax collectors, using the pretext that it was necessary in order to help the people.

Seventh, the economy was in constant upheaval. Since Rome had gone off the gold and silver standard, the money was unstable and continuously being devalued. Just like our dollar-becoming less and less valuable. Rome was heavily in debt.

Eighth, Manufacturing continued to decline, world trade dwindled. Imports far exceeded exports. Trade balances were critical.

Ninth, there came the time when the Roman government offered free land, if the people would only farm it. But the people preferred ‘the government handouts of “free bread and circuses.” Does any of this sound familiar? They had become totally dependent on government for their very existence.

Immorality, greed, and fear swept the land like wildfire, as crime of every category increased at a rapid pace. Perversions of every sort flourished. Taxation increased by leaps and bounds, along with the confiscation of property. Imprisonment and even death were the result of not being able to pay the taxes. Those who refused to conform were considered as political prisoners. Free speech and religion became criminal acts against the state.

As a result of all this, the barbarian tribes to the north and east of Rome saw that the Empire was weakening from internal turmoil and dissension. Therefore, they developed and pursued campaigns to capitalize on Rome’s weakness to their advantage. Rome was forced to fight many wars to keep her enemies from invading and entering the Empire. And these wars taxed and fatigued the Roman armies and brought about many desertions and lowering of the morale of the troops. Pacifism and cowardice became rampant. Many refused to serve Rome, while others cried for peace or outright surrender. Fear of the Barbarians overruled their nationalistic allegiance to Rome.

The Barbarians also saw that the frontier forts were not well manned or armed and the men poorly trained. Rome had refrained from supporting her allies in the time of need, which contributed to the loss of Rome’s outer perimeters of defense. Rome could no longer hold her defenses and continued to lose one war after another. The Roman senate began to appease and compromise with the Barbarians without success. The combination of internal strife with the onslaughts of the Barbarians ultimately toppled Rome. The Roman Empire ended in 476 AD.
It becomes obvious that the United States has been following the same path as Rome since the early 1900’s. Americans have failed to learn the lessons of history or to heed the warnings of their forefathers. And therefore, God gives us a warning of what he will do to a client nation that rejects Him and ends up on the road to self-destruction. Therefore, we are now ready for Lev 26 and the five cycles of discipline.
