Hymn #2

Preparing yourself for the study of God’s Word

Before we begin, if you are a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ (that is— you have trusted in Him for eternal life), it is important to prepare yourself to take-in God’s Word or participating in a Communion Service, so take a moment to name, cite or acknowledge your sins privately directly to God the Father. This will assure that you are in fellowship with God the Father and the Holy Spirit’s convicting ministry, also called the convincing ministry will then be able to teach you as the Holy Spirit is the real teacher and the pastor’s message is the vehicle the Holy Spirit uses to convince you what you are learning is true or not.

1 John 1:9, says—“If we confess [simply name, cite or acknowledge to God the Father] our sins [known sins], He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins [known sins] and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness [all unknown and forgotten sins];” NKJV (New King James Version); we call this REBOUND, read the full doctrine as to “why” we need to use 1 John 1:9 to grow spiritually. REBOUND

If you have never personally believed in the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior (that is, believed in Him for eternal life), the issue for you is not to name your sins to God; the issue for you is to believe by faith alone in Jesus Christ alone for eternal life and you will be saved the very second you believe in Him:

John 6:47 says: “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me [Jesus Christ] has everlasting life.” NKJV

Notice again what John 6:47 says, “he who believes in Me [Jesus Christ] has everlasting life.” It doesn’t say, “will have”; it says, “has.” Therefore, the very moment you believe Jesus Christ’s promise of everlasting life, you have it (it’s really just that simple), and it can never be lost or taken away from you (John 10:28-29). Furthermore, the gift of everlasting life (also called eternal life in scripture) is available to every human being; there are absolutely no exceptions.

John 3:14-18 says: “And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” NKJV

Let us now bow our hearts and take a moment to prepare for learning God’s Word, if there is any known sin in your life, this is the time to just cite it privately to God the Father with your thoughts directed towards Him. With your head bowed and your eyes closed, you have total privacy in your mind and soul:

NOTES
Unlike the bible study, these notes are not just for reading without watching the video. These notes are more designed to follow along during the sermon and to bring up the “hover pop-up scripture references” (some websites may require to left click the link, if that doesn’t work then look them up in your Bible) when the Pastor asks everyone to turn to that passage in their bibles.

Sermon: The Dispensation of the Hypostatic Union.

Paul identifies himself as in Eph 3:1, where he changed his name from Saul meaning king or powerful or Paul, the insignificant one or the Little one .

Paul had his name changed to identify and claim who he was before salvation, which was a murderer of Christians; 1Ti 1:12-17.

1Ti 1:13 = he was formerly a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent aggressor because the Lord was using Paul’s sins and failures to reveal His mercy because he acted ignorantly in unbelief;

The “faith” refers to the doctrines that Paul had learned under the principle of faith known to us as the “Christian faith” and the love” which refers to the filling of the Spirit, Gal 5:22; Rom 5:5.

oikonomia = administration, dispensation, or stewardship, referring literally to a time or a home where family members enjoy each other being at home with one another as they live in the same dispensation.

The apostle Paul, the messenger to every Church-age believer, tells us what really happened in Eph 3:3 that by revelation .

Revelation = refers to the new doctrines that were not taught in the OT but are now taught in the NT with the spiritual food or the mystery doctrines of the Church-age coming up next.

Revelation = ‎‎apokalupsis = the appearing, the coming, the manifestation, but most of all it is correctly translated revelation or doctrines needed to hear as part of the mystery doctrines of the Church-age.

Those individuals who say that there is absolutely no need for rebound also teach there is no need for recovery because they mistranslated John 19:30.

Remember that last phrase in John 19:28 when our Lord said; “I am thirsty.

He used the perfect-passive-indicative of the Greek verb teleo which means to end, to complete, to conclude, or my favorite, to perfect and finish the task or the work before us.

1. You don’t need to rebound

2. You don’t need to repent

3. There are no winners in the spiritual life

4. There are no losers in the spiritual life.

It means to deny us the blessings that we could have received had we become winner believers [overcomer believers] and not loser believers [unfaithful believers]; 1Co 3:11-15.

Winners and Losers, my friends, are taught how to be a winner believer as a member of the Royal Family of God or how one becomes a loser believer in that same plan.

You are either becoming a mature believer who can glorify our Lord or you are in the process of becoming a loser believer, who has brought shame to God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

We are also protected and defended in the spiritual realm because the real battles that a winner believer must face is the battles that are invisible to all of us; Eph 6:12.

Our Lord has provided everything that His people would ever need in the realm of logistical grace which provides everything that a believer or unbeliever would need in the natural realm.

Our Lord also supplied everything we would ever need in the spiritual realm so that we could become a winner or a winner believer identified in the Word of God as winners; the Greek word eusebeia is the Greek noun translated godliness, and it is also translated holiness; devotion; dedication, or the one I prefer, eusebeia means living the spiritual life.

Paul answers those false critics who are always running away from their battles of life because they don’t like confrontation and think that if they ignore their battles long enough their problems will go away.

What really matters is for you to know what dispensation you are in and what your roll or function is.

Hypostatic Union or the Dispensation where the Lord Jesus Christ is the main attraction and the center of all worship in the dispensations that are found in the Word of God.

“Hypostatic union” = the theological term for the incarnate person of Christ, the union of God and man, also known to our ministry as true humanity and undiminished deity in one person forever, our Lord Jesus Christ.

Question: What do all of these dispensations have in common?

Answer: All the dispensations have been created by the Lord to bring glory to our God, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

They are all under a divine purpose which is revealed by the word incarnation referring to the time that Jesus Christ, the second Person of the Trinity, dwelt on earth in hypostatic union.

Incarnation which refers to the expense of time that our Lord Jesus Christ, the second Person of the Trinity, dwelt on earth in hypostatic union.

Incarnation = the day our Lord was born as a member of the human race died in our place and therefore the definition reveals how the incarnation is closely related to our subject of the hypostatic union.

1. Hypostatic Union = in the person of our Lord Jesus Christ are two natures, deity and humanity, which I like to call Undiminished Deity and True Humanity in one person inseparably united forever.

The two natures are without mixture or loss of the two separate identities.

This is why our Lord would speak from His deity at times and then from His humanity at other times and then a very unusual principle, our Lord would speak from His nature of the Hypostatic Union (e.g. John 14:6).

TLJC [The Lord Jesus Christ] is just as much God as God the Father and God the Holy Spirit…..and He is also just as much human as you and I. He is undiminished deity and true humanity in one person forever.

Tthe two natures of Christ maintain their complete identity through being joined in personal union forever.

The characteristics of His human nature belong to the human part of Him, the characteristics of His divine nature belong to the God-part of Him.

The Lord is never half-God and half-man or half man and half-God. the Lord is undiminished deity (God) and true humanity (just like us).

Sometimes our Lord operates from His human nature only.

Sometimes He operates from His divine nature only.

Sometimes He operates from both natures together but not mixed.

Satan is very deceitful and he is a liar, in fact, in John 8:44, Satan is called the father of all lies.

John 19:28 “After this, Jesus, knowing that all things had already been accomplished, in order that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, “I am thirsty.”

Only humanity can become thirsty, God cannot.

Our Lord also said some things like John 14:28 “For the Father is greater than I.”

Sometimes our Lord operates from His divine nature only and so He would turn around and say John 10:30 “I and the Father are one.”

John 5:23 in order that all may honor the Son, even as they honor the Father.

Sometimes He operates from both natures together but not mixed when He says such things like John 14:6 “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me.”

The point is that the human nature in Christ always remains the human nature and the divine nature always remains the divine nature.

This is why we can also refer to Him as the God-man; 1Ti 2:5.

The two natures are united without transfer of attributes or qualities.

It is impossible to transfer an attribute of one nature to the other nature without destroying that nature.

If you add God to man then man is no longer true humanity.

If you add man to God then God is no longer undiminished deity.

There is no change in the essence of deity or the essence of humanity.

Beginning with the incarnation of Jesus Christ, a human nature was inseparably united forever with the divine nature of Jesus Christ.

This means that the two natures remain distinct, whole, unchanged, without mixture or confusion, so that Jesus Christ is true humanity and undiminished deity in one person forever.

There’s God.
There’s angels.
There’s humans.
There’s the God-man.

All the attributes of deity adhere to His deity and never cross over and become humanity.

All the attributes of humanity adhere to the humanity of Christ and never become deity.

Jesus Christ had to become perfect humanity to be our Savior, to be our high priest, to be the mediator between God and man, and to fulfill the promise of the Davidic covenant that David’s son would rule forever.
