Hymn #2

Preparing yourself for the study of God’s Word

Before we begin, if you are a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ (that is— you have trusted in Him for eternal life), it is important to prepare yourself to take-in God’s Word or participating in a Communion Service, so take a moment to name, cite or acknowledge your sins privately directly to God the Father. This will assure that you are in fellowship with God the Father and the Holy Spirit’s convicting ministry, also called the convincing ministry will then be able to teach you as the Holy Spirit is the real teacher and the pastor’s message is the vehicle the Holy Spirit uses to convince you what you are learning is true or not.

1 John 1:9 says—“If we confess [simply name, cite or acknowledge to God the Father] our sins [known sins], He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins [known sins] and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness [all unknown and forgotten sins];” NKJV (New King James Version); we call this REBOUND, read the full doctrine as to “why” we need to use 1 John 1:9 to grow spiritually. REBOUND

If you have never personally believed in the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior (that is, believed in Him for eternal life), the issue for you is not to name your sins to God; the issue for you is to believe by faith alone in Jesus Christ alone for eternal life and you will be saved the very second you believe in Him:

John 6:47 says: “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me [Jesus Christ] has everlasting life.” NKJV

Notice again what John 6:47 says, “he who believes in Me [Jesus Christ] has everlasting life.” It doesn’t say, “will have”; it says, “has.” Therefore, the very moment you believe Jesus Christ’s promise of everlasting life, you have it (it’s really just that simple), and it can never be lost or taken away from you (John 10:28-29). Furthermore, the gift of everlasting life (also called eternal life in scripture) is available to every human being; there are absolutely no exceptions.

John 3:14-18 says: “And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” NKJV

Let us now bow our hearts and take a moment to prepare for learning God’s Word, if there is any known sin in your life, this is the time to just cite it privately to God the Father with your thoughts directed towards Him. With your head bowed and your eyes closed, you have total privacy in your mind and soul:

NOTES
Unlike the bible study, these notes are not just for reading without watching the video. These notes are more designed to follow along during the sermon and to bring up the “hover pop-up scripture references” (some websites may require to left click the link, if that doesn’t work then look them up in your Bible) when the Pastor asks everyone to turn to that passage in their bibles.

Sermon: Exo 20:14 “You shall not commit adultery.” Let’s Talk about Sex. Part 2.

Satan has one main goal in the life of every believer = to lead all believers astray.

Matt 24:4 And Jesus answered and said to them, “See to it that no one misleads you.

Any area that you do not have sound doctrine in, is an area open to deception.

Idolatry leads to deception which leads to is demonization of the soul and personality of the believer or unbeliever living in the cosmic system and influenced by sexual immorality.

This leads to deception where “thought transference” of demon doctrines are taught to the believer or unbeliever in the cosmic system.

“thought transference” – referring to human viewpoint or worldly thinking.

Col 2:4 I keep on communicating these things in order that no one may delude you or deceive you with persuasive arguments.

1Co 3:18 “Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you thinks that he is wise in this age, let him become foolish [realize that he is a fool] that he may become wise.

Even the woman in the garden, who was perfect and didn’t have an OSN ended up deceived by the craftiness and subtlety of Satan.

2Co 11:3 But I am afraid, lest as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, your minds should be led astray [deceived] from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ.

It is the “mind” which is led astray first, not the body!

She was not just tricked and partially deceived, but in 1Ti 2:14, quite deceived.

Deception is the invasion of the soul, especially the mind, emotion, and self consciousness of the soul.

The result is the “invasion” of the human personality of the believer or unbeliever who lives in the cosmic system.

Deception is also the infiltration of satanic thought which is why Satan’s thoughts are called doctrines of demons, 1Ti 4:1.

It just isn’t expressed in terms of evil, but in terms of improving this world, doing nice things for your fellow man, and supporting such things as crusades.

Deception is the invasion of the soul with thought that is false thinking, i.e., the policy and principles by which Satan operated prior to the creation of man and afterwards as the ruler of this world.

Satan desires to promote sin and evil or to improve this world and try to make himself to be equal with God?

Isa 14:13 “I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God, I will sit on the mount of assembly in the recesses of the north, I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.”

Here is where the alert pastor comes into the picture and reveals the spiritual and invisible purpose of “True Idolatry” which comes in by means of blinding and deceiving us from divine solutions.

For now we are deceived by looking at marriage, family, money, wealth, friends, social life, materialism, fame, fortune or power as a means of blessings and but we forget the Blessor.

In idolatry, you always end up elevating anyone or anything over the Lord God or Jehovah Elohim.

Psa 39:5 Indeed, You have made my days as handbreadths [any of various units of length varying from about 2¹/₂ to 4 inches based on the breadth of a hand], And my age is as nothing before You; Certainly every man at his best state is but vapor. Selah. NKJV

Psa 96:5 For all the gods of the peoples are idols, But the Lord made the heavens.

One of the most popular cults in the ancient world was the Phallic Cult.

I am going to suggest some principles that I believe explain why they fell into these temptations which were found in their “promise” land.

The Old Testament is a wonderful illustration and pattern of our walk with God as Christians and the spiritual warfare we face daily.

God promised His chosen people a land overflowing with milk, honey and abundance where they could settle and live and worship God.

The Jews found out quickly that when the Israelites came out of the wilderness, they had to seize this land and take it for themselves.

The Devil knew this promise to the seed of Abraham and he set 31 hostile nations right in the middle of the Promised Land to stand in fierce opposition to Israel seizing their inheritance.

The Bible calls many of the men, giants, champions of wickedness, which were physically beyond anything that mankind had ever seen.

It is a place where the promises of God are experienced in all their fullness and a place where we bear abundant spiritual fruit for our God.

The Devil does not want us to enter the Promised Land and has set hostile giants throughout the land to prevent us from taking the inheritance that God has given us.

As Christians we must arise out of the wilderness and boldly go into this Promised Land and claim our rightful inheritance.

As Joshua did, we need to take the mountains of giants and slew every giant in our minds and hearts that has ever prevented us from living the more abundant life that God has promised.

The Promised Land and the battle with these giants is the manifestation of spiritual warfare and we must conquer every giant in Christ if we are ever to fulfill our purpose for this generation.

It is through Him that God’s greatest and most precious promises have become available to us men, making it possible for you to escape the inevitable disintegration that lust produces in the world and to share in God’s essential nature.

When we have faith in the promises and patience to wait on the Lord and not become weary and faint in our minds, God will fulfill every single promise in our lives; Heb 11:6.

All of these giants like unbelief, fear, doubt, and worry are all designed to get us to not have faith in the promise for without faith we will forever remain in the wilderness of the world and the flesh.

Is a giant going to rob of us our faith and defeat our thought life from bolding claiming and believing the promise?

The promises (epaggelma) refers to a declaration to do something with implication of obligation to carry out what is stated.

God is publicly announcing to the world that He is faithful to His promises and He will emphatically carry out His Word.

God cries out “Prove me now if I am not faithful.” Our confession should be, “Watch what my God will do!”

Malachi put it like this in his very popular passage; Mal 3:8-10.

Christian expectation in the average church follows the program, not the promises.

We must declare war on the mood of non-expectation, and come together with childlike faith.

You have rights as a part of your inheritance as a child of God, which God has decreed with all the authority of His inalterable Word as they are firmly rooted in God’s love, pleasure, purpose, and declaration for you.

You have a legal right to eternal life and a home in heaven.

You have a legal right to victory over the devil and his authority on the earth.

You have a legal right to freedom from the bondage of sin and all its consequences.

You have a legal right of deliverance from fear, worry, anxiety, and doubt.

You have a legal right to the Father’s protection and care.

You have a legal right to use the name of Jesus Christ in prayer, invoking its authority and power.

You have a legal right to be more than a conqueror in any situation.

You have a legal right to overflowing joy in all of life’s circumstances.

You have a legal right to the peace of God ruling in your heart, no matter how intense the problem or trouble.

You have a legal right to the wisdom of God. You have a legal right to confidence and boldness.

You have the legal right to have all of your needs met according to God’s riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

You have a legal right to do all things and be ready and equal to anything through Christ who strengthens you.

You have a legal right to salvation and wholeness in every area of your life.

You have a legal right to perfect health and deliverance from all forms of sickness and disease.

You have a legal right to prosperity and overflowing abundance in your life.

You have a legal right to be completely free from every form of depression, condemnation, guilt, misery, despair, and any other type of mental bondage.

You have a legal right to live and walk in the revolutionary and life changing love of God that proceeds from the heart of God.

You have a legal right to be changed at the return of Christ and receive a new body unlimited in scope and dimension.

You have a legal right to all the blessings of your inheritance in the family of God.

You have a legal right to the goodness of God abounding in every area of your life.

If we place such honor and importance on our earthly legal rights, how much more should we value, honor, respect, and claim our heavenly legal rights in Christ.

He says they were superhuman and abnormal beings and their destruction in Noah’s time was necessary for the preservation of the human race.

Deut 2:7, 10, 11, 20, 21 “For the LORD your God has blessed you in all the work of your hand. He knows your trudging through this great wilderness. These forty years the LORD your God has been with you; you have lacked nothing.”’

The crossing of the Red Sea is a picture of Christ’s death for you and me — when he cuts us off from the world in all its attitudes, ways, and opinions.

Jordan = a picture of your death with Christ. When you bring your Adamic life to an end; when all that you are in Adam comes to an end — your reliance on yourself, your desire to have your own program, to live and make your own decisions.

All of these passages verses and principles are the reasons why idolatry and the Phallic Cult with the influence of sex are forbidden; Isa 2:8, 18 20, 21:9, 36:18 20, 37:12 19; Jer 3:6-11, 2:27 30, 7:17 20, 17:1 4; Eze 6:4-6.

Is the Phallic Cult around today?

Webster’s New Twentieth Century Dictionary, Second Edition” = a cult means devoted attachment to, or extravagant admiration for, a person, principle, or thing etc.

The Webster’s Ninth New College Dictionary says that a cult is a great devotion to a person, idea, or thing, (especially), such devotion regarded as literary or intellectual fad or mania.

A cult is not necessarily devotion to a “god” as such, but it can also be devotion to an idea, especially one set up by the “god” of this world, Satan himself.

One of the most basic needs in the human race is the need to be loved, appreciated and wanted.

One of the main reasons why the Phallic Cult is still around today, although it is not titled the Phallic Cult is because most individuals do not understand the difference between natural desires and lusts.

One of the main reasons why the Phallic Cult is still around today is because most individuals do not understand the difference between natural desires and lusts.

Paul is actually telling us about the influences that are impelling and driving and urging the old self in us toward destruction.

Lust is the noun epithumia, the word itself actually means a strong or an overpowering desire.

Luke 22:15, “I have earnestly desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer.”

The word for “earnestly desired” is the same word that is used elsewhere for lust — epithumia.

Matt 5:28 But I say to you, that everyone who looks on a woman to lust [epithumia] for her has committed adultery with her already in his heart.

Matt 13:17 “For truly I say to you, that many prophets and righteous men desired [epithumia] to see what you see, and did not see it; and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it.

1Co 10:6 Now these things happened as examples for us, that we should not lust [epithumia] for evil things, as they also lusted [epithumia].

1Ti 3:1 It is a trustworthy statement: if any man aspires to [epithumia] the office of overseer, it is a fine work he desires to do.

James 4:2 You lust [epithumia] and do not have; so you commit murder. And you are envious and cannot obtain; so you fight and quarrel. You do not have because you do not ask.

Please notice that in these passages epithumia can mean lust or desire depending on not what it is directed towards but “how” it is directed toward those things.

It is true that lust can mean lasciviousness or an illicit, uncontrolled, overwhelming desire which originates from the old sin nature.

However, the dictionary defines lust also as a pleasure or delight.

It can also mean an intense longing or craving for something.

The overmastering and overpowering desires of most people are evil.

There is a difference between the legitimate desires and needs that a person has and the different lusts that are destroying many individuals inwardly.

The worship of a physical object or objects as God.

2. Inordinate attachment or extreme devotion to something.

An idol is actually defined as an object of extreme devotion, hence, it could be almost anything in a person’s life, here in our subject it is a reference to sex.

There is a difference between the legitimate desires and needs that a person hasand the different lusts that are destroying many individuals inwardly.

The natural instincts in all of us, such as hunger, sex, survival, self-defense are not wrong in themselves.

Nothing wrong with natural instincts. It is God who has put these natural instincts into man….including the instinct for sex and a need to be loved.

One of those main instincts is the desire to be loved, needed, held and for sexual encounters.

His various instincts and powers and propensities were put in such an order and peculiar arrangement in man that they are all meant to minister to his good and to his enjoyment of life.

These instincts which are mainly in man’s body, were meant to be under the “control” of his mind.

God’s will was that man should have dominion and control over his “natural” instincts.

The mind alone is not enough, God also gave man a conscience which is higher than the mind and gives instructions to the mind.

Man being made in the image of God, the conscience was meant in turn to be controlled by God himself.

Why celibacy is advocated by the Roman church and others.

There is nothing wrong with sexual desires.
To say so is to say that “God” put evil into man.

At the same time, however, we are all aware that all our instincts must be in their right place which means that they must be governed and controlled by the mind and heart.

Here is the tragedy of the whole cosmic system; that the order has been reversed and that mankind is being governed by his instincts.

This is a major reason why the Phallic Cult or a devoted attachment or great devotion to sex has hit our nation and the entire world.

When the “instincts” get into control they become lusts.

When that which is meant to be under control takes charge and governs the life, there is chaos….and that is exactly what is meant by lusts.

Prin Then: – Lust simply means that an affection or an instinct is taking charge of us and governing us.

The mind is being silenced.

The conscience is being ignored.

The state of man is one of chaos and confusion.

There is nothing wrong with the affections implanted in man but the affections must never become inordinate.

Evil desires everywhere are in control while reason and understanding have been pushed aside.

The decay and the steady movement toward destruction is simply the dominance of lust controlling the individual.

Man controlled by his lust is moving in the direction of decay.

The real ultimate and controlling power is deceit.

The lusts in turn manipulate the man.
