Prepare yourself for learning the Word of God!

Before we begin, if you are a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ (that is; you have believed [trusted] in Him for His promised gift of eternal life), it is important to prepare yourself to learn God's Word so take a moment to name, cite or acknowledge (confess) your sins privately to God (i.e.; with your thoughts directed only to God the Father).

1 John 1:9 says: "If we confess our sins, He (God) is faithful and just to forgive us our sins (known sins) and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness [unknown or forgotten sins]." NKJV (New King James Version) [italics added]; we call this REBOUND, read the full doctrine as to “why” we need to use 1 John 1:9 to grow spiritually. REBOUND

If you have never personally believed in the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior (that is, believed in Him for eternal life), the issue for you is not to name your sins; the issue for you is to have faith alone in Jesus Christ alone for eternal life: John 3:16, 5:24, 6:47, 20:30, 31.

John 6:47 says: "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me (Jesus Christ) has everlasting life." NKJV [italics added]

Notice again what Jesus said in John 6:47: "…he who believes in Me (Jesus Christ) has everlasting life." It doesn't say, "will have"; it says, "has." Therefore, the very moment you believe in Jesus Christ for His promise of everlasting life, you have it (it's really just that simple; nothing more and nothing less), and it can never be taken away from you (John 10:28-29). Furthermore, the gift (Ephesians 2:8c) of everlasting life (also called eternal life in scripture) is available to every human being; there are absolutely no exceptions.

John 3:14-15, 16, 17, 18, says: "14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 15 that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. 18 He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." NKJV

Let us now bow our hearts and take a moment to prepare for worship and learning God's Word. If there is any known sin in your life, this is the time to just cite it privately to God the Father with your thoughts directed towards Him. With your head bowed and your eyes closed, you have total privacy in your mind and soul:

Study to show yourself approved to God!

STUDY TITLE:

Dispensation of the Mosaic Law. God manifest in the flesh.

I don’t know if you realize it by now but how much God wants to manifest Himself within you.

In fact, the Lord Jesus Christ revealed this through the apostle Paul when Paul said in 2Co 3:1-2, Are we beginning to commend ourselves again? Or do we need, as some, letters of commendation to you or from you? You are [believers] our letter, written in our hearts, known and read by all men; “Known and read by all men” refers to those who are representatives of the Lord cared for by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone, but on tablets of human hearts.

Your life in verse 2 is known and read by all men or others. The point being is that “your life” is an open book. And what is it that people see when they read your life? Without you feeling condemned, what does your life, your book, reveal? Does it reveal what Matt 5:13-14 says?

Matt 5:13-14, “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has become tasteless, how will it be made salty again? It is good for nothing anymore, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.”

Or does your life reveal 1Jo 2:15-17, Do not love the world, nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world. And the world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God abides forever.

What does your life reveal?

This is why the apostle John also wrote what he did beginning in John 14:2-9, “In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. And you know the way where I am going. Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, how do we know the way?” Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me. If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; from now on you know Him, and have seen Him.” Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.” Jesus said to him, “Have I been so long with you, and yet y ou have not come to know Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; how do you say, ‘Show us the Father’?”

Think about it, every one of us who have been born again and saved have been called to be new creatures and have something about us that makes us special and totally unique as being a type of Christ where God is manifest in the flesh.

For example, in 1Pe 2:5 we read, “You also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house for a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.”

1Pe 2:9, But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;

Every one of us, with few exceptions, is born into the world with a conscience or the ability to know the difference between what is right and what is wrong. And you need to remember that, especially when it comes to authority. And I say that because I want to make sure that all of you know where I stand when it comes to authority.

Back in Exo 14:13 notice what Moses said in Exo 14:13, But Moses said to the people, do not fear! Stand by and see the deliverance of the Lord which He will accomplish for you today;

“Stand by” means to be stabilized in your mind, and as verse 13 says, “See the deliverance of the Lord.” In other words, “Keep looking at the deliverance of the Lord or be occupied with the person of Christ. Exo 14:13 goes on and says, “which deliverance He will accomplish for you today!”

Notice, what “He” will accomplish, not what “we will” accomplish. What kind of power does it take to be victorious in a hopeless situation? It takes divine power! We need to watch for “the power of God or the omnipotence of God at work.”

That’s why Moses said in Deut 31:6, “Be strong and courageous,” Notice, what is to come first, “spiritual strength” before courage. And what is biblical courage?

Spiritual courage is the ability to think under pressure, whereas fear is the inability to think under pressure.

Deut 31:6, Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid and tremble before them, for the Lord your God is the one who goes with you, He will not fail you, nor forsake you.

Then Moses says in verse 13; For the Egyptians whom you have seen today, you will never see them again forever. And forever is talking about eternity. And that means that “they,” who once denied the authority will not be in eternity.”

Therefore, Moses says they will never see the Egyptians again because the Egyptians are unbelievers and they are going to Hell. And so, the Jews are failing at this time because they are involved with two categories of sins;

1. The arrogance complex of sins; (all overt sins)
2. The emotional complex of sins. (all mental attitude sins including emotional sins). Basically, they mean: Any mental (thought), verbal (word), or overt activity (deed) that violates the character, standards, and will of God.

The fear category includes worry, anxiety, trepidation, panic, confusion etc. And so, in verse 14, Moses said, the Lord will fight for you while you keep silent. Notice that they are being told to keep silent. Sometimes it’s good to be silent!

Look at James 3:13, Who among you is wise, or filled with doctrine, let him show by his good behavior his deeds in the gentleness of wisdom.

In other words, let his behavior be motivated from the wisdom within. James 3:14, But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, do not be arrogant and so lie against the truth.

James is saying let the doctrine within motivate the outward behavior. Then James says in James 3:14, But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, do not be arrogant and so lie against the truth.

He says “stop being arrogant and lie against the truth. or lie against doctrine. In other words, don’t live in a lie. Now that we have studied how Moses was a type of Christ we are now ready to continue what happened to the Jews and how they became a part of the first client nation in all of human history.

First of all, Moses was a man that lived under the timing of God. Let’s establish a principle before we continue the study of Moses and the Exodus generation. Moses was a man who lived under the timing of God.

Therefore, our first principle is that only the believer who puts doctrine first every day in his life and sets aside time every day for doctrine can find happiness in being organized. Now, I love that because Ecc 3 teaches that everything in life is a matter of timing.

First of all, let’s note that God has assigned to you a number of days to live on this earth according to Psa 90:12; 31:15. We are not given years to live or months to live but according to the Bible, days to live!

Psa 90:12, “Teach us to number our days, That we may present to Thee a heart of wisdom.”

Psa 31:15, David said, “My times are in Thy hand.”

God has given us an assignment which is a certain amount of time to do certain things in our life. In Ecc 3:1-8, while you will probably experience most of these you will enjoy none of these without doctrine which gives you capacity to enjoy these things. In fact, without a relationship with God and seeing the divine purpose in all of these things you will say with Solomon in Ecc 3:9, What profit is there to the worker from that in which he toils?

Ecc 3:1-8 teaches the general principle about timing. Let’s listen to the philosopher!

Ecc 3:1-9, There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven A time to give birth, and a time to die; A time to plant, and a time to uproot what is planted. A time to kill, and a time to heal; A time to tear down, and a time to build up. A time to weep, and a time to laugh; A time to mourn, and a time to dance. A time to throw stones, and a time to gather stones; A time to embrace, and a time to shun embracing. A time to search, and a time to give up as lost; A time to keep, and a time to throw away. A time to tear apart, and a time to sew together; A time to be silent, and a time to speak. A time to love, and a time to hate; A time for war, and a time for peace. What profit is there to the worker from that in which he toils?

Do you realize that one of the most fascinating subjects in life is this word “time”! It’s amazing, we all have the same amount whether we are absolutely without a dime or whether we happen to be the richest person on earth!

Whether or not we are a child in school or the president of the United States! Think of how much of it is woven into our lives on a daily basis! For throughout the day we hear things like; What time is it? What time does the meeting start? What time do you want me there? I don’t have time? How much time will it take? Don’t waste your time on that! It’s time for us to go!

We have a Lord or God who tells us in Eph 5:16, Make the most of your time, because the days are evil. God gives you a certain amount of time that you might use it for His glory! Remember why you were created and why you are here? Isa 43:7, “Everyone who is called by My name, I have created for My glory, Those whom I have formed, even whom I have made.”

Rev 4:11, “Worthy art Thou, our Lord and our God, to receive glory and honor and power; for Thou didst create all things, and because of Thy will they existed, and were created.”

God gives you a certain amount of time that you might use it for His glory. Nothing is ever carried over so that you might credit it to the next day! This is why the mature believer regards every day alike, Rom 14:5-6. Every day we live is a gracious gift from God.

In Ecc 3 we have the principle of organizing your time! Ecc 3 teaches that everything in life is a matter of timing. And what Solomon says in this chapter is basically right, however, without a relationship with God and seeing things from the divine viewpoint of life, all of these things are meaningless. What Solomon is involved in this however is what we call fatalism! Fatalism comes from the Latin fatum meaning “that which the gods ordain to happen”. It is the belief that all things are determined by fate and our therefore unalterable.

Although we believe in divine timing and that there is a time ordained by God for us to function in these areas, when Solomon writes this, he is not viewing it from divine viewpoint! We believe that God gives you a certain amount of time that you might use it for His glory! Remember why you were created and why you are here?

Isa 43:7 says, “Everyone who is called by My name, I have created for My glory, Those whom I have formed, even whom I have made.”

God has created you for His glory and until you believe that and then live for that purpose, you will never find true happiness and contentment in life! God does give you a certain amount of time that you might use it for His glory! This is why the mature believer regards every day as the Lord’s day, Rom 14:5, One man regards one day above another, another regards every day alike.

Let each man be fully convinced in his own mind. He who observes the day, observes it for the Lord.

Everyday we live is a gracious gift from God and it should be a day that we have time set aside for our relationship with Him. Remember that the only time we possess to honor God in this life is the number of days He provides for us in the Christian life, Psa 90:12; James 4:13-15.

James reminds us how frail our life really is in James 4:14, “Yet you do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. You are just a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away.”

And the fact that the believer lives another day is a sign of divine grace and the faithfulness of God, Lam 3:22-23, “The Lord’s loving kindnesses indeed never cease, For His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; Great is Thy faithfulness.”

This is why it is important to learn Bible doctrine every day as Matt 4:4 teaches. Remember what Job said in Job 23:12, “I have not departed from the command of His lips; I have treasured the words of His mouth more than my necessary food.”

The word “treasured” is the verb tsaphan which means to esteem; to admire, appreciate, respect, and even worship. And remember that it is Biblical to praise God’s word as David did in Psa 56.

Psa 56:4, In God, whose word I praise, in God I have put my trust;

Psa 56:10, In God, whose word I praise, in the Lord, Whose Word I praise,

Every day is a day when we should be learning doctrine and preparing ourselves to glorify God! And if we do not purchase time by taken in doctrine consistently, we lose days! This is why we are told that days of life are lost through divine discipline, Psa 102:23, “In the course of my life, He broke my strength, He cut short my days.”

This is also the reason why we are told to purchase time each day or to buy back the time in Eph 5.

Eph 5:16 17, “Constantly buying time, because the days are evil. [you purchase time with doctrine, doctrine is the capital needed to buy time] Because of this, stop being ignorant, but completely understand the will [purpose] of the Lord.”

In Ecc 3:1, Solomon from the viewpoint of fatalism says, There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven.

Now, one of the things that make time so important is the fact that it is so rare! It is irretrievable! You can never do it again! You can never get back the time that you lost or wasted, it’s gone forever!

Now, God’s timing is perfect and if you are in fellowship with Him, you will have peace of mind with everything you do. However, if you are not in fellowship with God and you do not have doctrine resident in your soul, you will concede with Solomon in Ecc 3:9, What profit is there to the worker from that in which he toils?

So he says in Ecc 3:1-2, There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven – A time to give birth, and a time to die;

Please notice that this verse doesn’t say that there is a time to be conceived and a time to die! It says, a time to give birth because time begins at birth not in the womb.

Now, regardless of the circumstances and events that surround your birth, God gave you life at that moment, so that was the right time for you to be born. You did nothing at that moment and your timing was perfect then! You had nothing to say about your birth and that’s why your timing was perfect!

You did not choose your parents; God did! You did not choose your birthday; God did! Your volition wasn’t involved at all! God created soul life and imputed it to your soul at your birth. And that was the right time for you to be born! So, if you have any complaints about your parents or your birth, your timing is off!

Don’t say you were born too late or too early or you would have been better off if you lived during another generation. God is perfect, His ways are perfect and you and I were born under the perfect timing of God! And God starts everyone in the world off at the right time.

Hymn #2

Preparing yourself for the study of God’s Word

Before we begin , if you are a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ (that is— you have trusted in Him for eternal life), it is important to prepare yourself to take-in God’s Word or participating in a Communion Service, so take a moment to name, cite or acknowledge your sins privately directly to God the Father. This will assure that you are in fellowship with God the Father and the Holy Spirit’s convicting ministry, also called the convincing ministry will then be able to teach you as the Holy Spirit is the real teacher and the pastor’s message is the vehicle the Holy Spirit uses to convince you what you are learning is true or not.

1 John 1:9 says—“If we confess [simply name, cite or acknowledge to God the Father] our sins [known sins], He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins [known sins] and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness [all unknown and forgotten sins].” NKJV (New King James Version)

If you have never personally believed in the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior (that is, believed in Him for eternal life), the issue for you is not to name your sins to God; the issue for you is to believe by faith alone in Jesus Christ alone for eternal life and you will be saved the very second you believe in Him:

John 6:47 says: “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me [Jesus Christ] has everlasting life.” NKJV

Notice again what John 6:47 says, “he who believes in Me [Jesus Christ] has everlasting life.” It doesn’t say, “will have”; it says, “has.” Therefore, the very moment you believe Jesus Christ’s promise of everlasting life, you have it (it’s really just that simple), and it can never be lost or taken away from you (John 10:28-29). Furthermore, the gift of everlasting life (also called eternal life in scripture) is available to every human being; there are absolutely no exceptions.

John 3:14-18 says: “And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” NKJV

Let us now bow our hearts and take a moment to prepare for learning God’s Word, if there is any known sin in your life, this is the time to just cite it privately to God the Father with your thoughts directed towards Him. With your head bowed and your eyes closed, you have total privacy in your mind and soul:

Akrateis means no self discipline, no ability to concentrate, a lack of control, a lack of respect for authority and bad manners.

Brutal is the adjective anemeroi which means to be brutal or violent, to act like a savage.

Haters of good is one word, the adjective aphilagathoi which means to be haters of divine good, to be hateful toward virtue, or to be antagonistic toward the means which God has provided to produce divine good.

Treacherous is the noun prodotai which means traitors or betrayers.

There are some people who will turn on you and betray you no matter what you have done for them. John 16:2 they will make you outcasts from the synagogue [local assembly], and an hour is coming for everyone who kills you to think that he is offering “service” to God.

A traitor to the Lord which is one who rejects Bible doctrine.

A traitor to one’s local assembly is one who has no grace orientation and they attack the authority of the church.

A traitor to one’s country has no patriotism.

Loyalty is a sign of character (not expediency).

NKJV (New King James Version) [italics added]; we call this REBOUND, read the full doctrine as to “why” we need to use 1 John 1:9 to grow spiritually.

A lust for security! A security they could see.

Exo 14:8-11, And the Lord hardened the heart of Pharaoh, king of Egypt, and he chased after the sons of Israel as the sons of Israel were going out boldly. Then the Egyptians chased after them with all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, his horsemen and his army, and they overtook them camping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, in front of Baal zephon. And as Pharaoh drew near, the sons of Israel looked, and behold, the Egyptians were marching after them, and they became very frightened; so the sons of Israel cried out to the Lord. Then they said to Moses, “Is it because there were no graves in Egypt that you have taken us away to die in the wilderness? Why have you dealt with us in this way, bringing us out of Egypt?

The people of Israel could not lift the shield of faith and operate under the faith rest life and therefore they are blaming Moses for taking them out of Egypt into the desert.

Remember, the Exodus was the work of God not the work of Moses.

In fact, do you remember what Moses said when the Lord called him out from the burning bush?

Exo 3:1-4, 18, Now Moses was pasturing the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian; and he led the flock to the west side of the wilderness, and came to Horeb, the mountain of God. And the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a blazing fire from the midst of a bush; and he looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, yet the bush was not consumed. So, Moses said,

“I must turn aside now, and see this marvelous sight, why the bush is not burned up.” When the Lord saw that he turned aside to look, God called to him from the midst of the bush, and said, “Moses, Moses!” And he said, “Here I am.” Then He said, “Do not come near here; remove your sandals from your feet, for the place on which you are standing is holy ground.” He said also, “I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” Then Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look at God. And the Lord said, “I have surely seen the affliction of My people who are in Egypt, and have given heed to their cry because of their taskmasters, for I am aware of their sufferings. “So, I have come down to deliver them from the power of the Egyptians, and to bring them up from that land to a good and spacious land, to a land flowing with milk and honey, to the place of the Canaanite and the Hittite and the Amorite and the Perizzite and the Hivite and the Jebusite.

And now, behold, the cry of the sons of Israel has come to Me; furthermore, I have seen the oppression with which the Egyptians are oppressing them. Therefore, come now, and I will send you to Pharaoh, so that you may bring My people, the sons of Israel, out of Egypt.” But Moses said to God, “Who am I, that I should go to Pharaoh, and that I should bring the sons of Israel out of Egypt?”

And He said, “Certainly I will be with you, and this shall be the sign to you that it is I who have sent you: when you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall worship God at this mountain.”

Then Moses said to God, “Behold, I am going to the sons of Israel, and I shall say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you.’ Now they may say to me, ‘What is His name?’ What shall I say to them?” And God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM”; and He said, “Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.'” And God, furthermore, said to Moses, “Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, ‘The Lord, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you.’ This is My name forever, and this is My memorial name to all generations. Go and gather the elders of Israel together, and say to them, ‘The Lord, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, has appeared to me, saying,” I am indeed concerned about you and what has been done to you in Egypt. So I said, I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt to the land of the Canaanite and the Hittite and the Amorite and the Perizzite and the Hivite and the Jebusite, to a land flowing with milk and honey.” ‘

And they will pay heed to what you say; and you with the elders of Israel will come to the king of Egypt, and you will say to him, ‘The Lord, the God of the Hebrews, has met with us. So now, please, let us go a three days’ journey into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice to the Lord our God.’ “But I know that the king of Egypt will not permit you to go, except under compulsion.

So, I will stretch out My hand, and strike Egypt with all My miracles which I shall do in the midst of it; and after that he will let you go. And I will grant this people favor in the sight of the Egyptians; and it shall be that when you go, you will not go emptyhanded. (Notice that Moses wasn’t the one who asked God to lead His people, the Jews, no, God asked Moses to do it).

Then Moses answered and said, “What if they will not believe me, or listen to what I say? For they may say, ‘The Lord has not appeared to you.’” And the Lord said to him, “What is that in your hand?” And he said, “A staff.” Then He said, “Throw it on the ground.” So, he threw it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from it.

But the Lord said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand and grasp it by its tail” so he stretched out his hand and caught it, and it became a staff in his hand that they may believe that the Lord, the God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has appeared to you.” And the Lord furthermore said to him, “Now put your hand into your bosom.”

So, he put his hand into his bosom, and when he took it out, behold, his hand was leprous like snow. Then He said, “Put your hand into your bosom again.” So, he put his hand into his bosom again; and when he took it out of his bosom, behold, it was restored like the rest of his flesh. And it shall come about that if they will not believe you or heed the witness of the first sign, they may believe the witness of the last sign.

But it shall be that if they will not believe even these two signs or heed what you say, then you shall take some water from the Nile and pour it on the dry ground; and the water which you take from the Nile will become blood on the dry ground.” Then Moses said to the Lord, “Please, Lord, I have never been eloquent, neither recently nor in time past, nor since Thou hast spoken to Thy servant; for I am slow of speech and slow of tongue.”

And the Lord said to him, “Who has made man’s mouth? Or who makes him dumb or deaf, or seeing or blind? Is it not I, the Lord? Now then go, and I, even I, will be with your mouth, and teach you what you are to say.” But he said, “Please, Lord, now send the message by whomever Thou wilt.” Then the anger of the Lord burned against Moses, and He said, “Is there not your brother Aaron the Levite? I know that he speaks fluently. And moreover, behold, he is coming out to meet you; when he sees you, he will be glad in his heart. And you are to speak to him and put the words in his mouth; and I, even I, will be with your mouth and his mouth, and I will teach you what you are to do. Moreover, he shall speak for you to the people; and it shall come about that he shall be as a mouth for you, and you shall be as God to him. “And you shall take in your hand this staff, with which you shall perform the signs.” Then Moses departed and returned to Jethro his father-in-law, and said to him, “Please, let me go, that I may return to my brethren who are in Egypt, and see if they are still alive.” And Jethro said to Moses, “Go in peace.”

They are free physically, but in their thinking, they are still slaves. And so, while God is blessing the Jews with freedom, the Jews are freaking out and cursing Moses in their fear and their panic and their arrogance. And the principle is that there are times when blessings from God come in the form of the disguise of disaster to the believer.

They did not say leave us alone until after Moses first interview with Pharaoh in Exo 5:21, And they said to them, “May the Lord look upon you and judge you, for you have made us odious in Pharaoh’s sight and in the sight of his servants, to put a sword in their hand to kill us.” They had been positive toward the idea, and then when Pharaoh started to balk, and them they became afraid or cowards. And made them cowards?

A lust for security! A security they could see. They wanted the pots of flesh burning in front of their tents, and all the bread they could eat. They had learned nothing from their forefathers or from their past for remember the same thing happened to Esau when he sold his birthright for a mess of pottage or a bowl of beans.

What did he want? He wanted security! He didn’t want freedom. He traded his freedom for security and ended up with hardness of the heart toward the gospel whereas the Jews will end up with hardness of the heard the teaching of doctrine. They are flawed because they lack doctrine or because they had the doctrine and the suddenness of the disaster has taken their minds off of the doctrine resident in their soul.

It was the Lord Jesus Christ in the pillar of the cloud who led them to this spot, not Moses. The Lord led them to a place where they had no resources with which they could cope -except to trust in Him for the divine solution to their problem.
They couldn’t cope with this problem on their own. So, they said, is this not the word that we spoke to you in Egypt saying, leave us alone that we may be slaves to the Egyptians? For it would have been better, or in reality the Plan of God is for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the wilderness. In other words, they are saying that it is God’s will for us to be slaves to the Egyptians. Note once again that in their statement, fear and panic produce irrationality. They have the doctrine but they can’t use it!

Why?

Because they are emotional and filled with fear. That’s the whole point of Eph 6:15 when it says, “Let us pick up and carry the shield of faith.” You have to know how to use it and you have to have strength to do it! If you do not have spiritual strength you will not be able to have the power to handle a disastrous situation.

Now God had promised the Jews through Moses that they would worship Him in Mt Horeb; Exo 3:12.

Look at it Exo 3:12 And He said, “Certainly I will be with you, and this shall be the sign to you that it is I who have sent you: when you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall worship God at this mountain.” Plus, the Lord in the pillar of cloud had led them to this very spot, and therefore they were in the will of God. Therefore, we have the importance of claiming the promises of God.

They had to be tested! And all they wanted was to go back to slavery, because slavery represented security. Now, God does not want you to be His slave, He wants you to have freedom. You are free to grow in grace. You are free to make Bible doctrine number one priority. However, do you realize how many times you are distracted from making doctrine number one simply because of some security concept.

Where is your security? Is it in the details of life? Is it people? Is it related to the things of this life? The Lord wants you to have freedom, and freedom comes from Bible doctrine, John 8:32; 2Co 3:17.

Rom 8:31-32 What shall we say then, if God be for us who shall be against us? He that spared not His own son but delivered Him up for all of us, how shall He not with Him freely give us all things?

The issue is freedom not security. Gal 5:1, Stand fast in the freedom in which Christ has made you free, and be not entangled again in the yoke of slavery.

Your soul is the battleground for the angelic conflict and your soul must have Bible doctrine resident within it. Now, it is important to note as we go on in this passage a few principles about Moses and also how Moses was a type of Christ. But before we do that lets a few principles that why Moses became a type of Christ.

1. First of all Moses became a man of doctrine before he became a man of destiny. Moses never stopped learning Bible doctrine. This falls under the principle that spiritual skills must precede production skills.

He never stopped learning Bible doctrine because his destiny demanded that as a leader, as a man of thought and action, doctrine had to be first in his life.

In Psa 103:7 notice that we read that God made known His ways unto Moses. Not to anyone else because only Moses had the maturity spiritually. Only Moses had the integrity and virtue to handle the situation. And this was based upon the foundation of humility

2. The service of Moses was actually two-fold, first under his spiritual gift of prophecy he communicated Bible doctrine verbally to the people. And secondly, in writing as illustrated by the first five books of the Bible.

3. He was the greatest leader in history as well. And the combination of Bible doctrine in his heart and the spiritual strength to put it all into action made Moses a one-man pivot.

4. Moses never stopped learning Bible doctrine for his calling demanded that as a man of thought and action he must always be prepared spiritually to be the leader and the father of the first Jewish client nation to God.

In all three stages of his life Moses never stopped learning Bible doctrine. In the first 40 years of his life Moses had Bible doctrine. This was while he lived in Egypt and he revealed the dynamics of his great decision when he exercised his God given genius to become the greatest man in Egypt and then to turn his back on Egypt.

Moses had Bible doctrine in the second 40 years of his life even though he did not even use his genius when he assumed command of the flocks of his father in law of Jethro. Moses also had Bible doctrine in the third stage of his life when he utilized the grace and the power of God to communicate verbally and in writing this doctrine to all Israel.

So great was the power of Bible doctrine in his soul that even in dying grace Moses was magnificent. In Deut 34:7 it says that Although Moses was one hundred and twenty years old when he died, his eyes were not dim nor was his strength gone. And his strength refers to; His spiritual strength; His mental genius; His physical strength; His sexual strength.

Now, as I said Moses is a type of Christ: For example;

1. Both were born at a time when Israel was under foreign domination (Moses – Egyptian bondage & Jesus – Roman bondage).

2. Both had rulers that tried to kill them shortly after their births; Moses did in Exo 1:15-22. Matt 2:16-18.

3. Both spent time in the wilderness before taking on their callings (Exo 3; Matt 4:1-11.

4. Both dealt with wicked kings (Pharaoh – Exo 5-12; Herod in Luke 13:31-32.

5. Both dealt with folks who hardened their hearts; Exo 8:15; Mark 6:45-52.

6. Both dealt with lepers; Num 12:10-25; Matt 8:1-4.

7. Both had the world offered to them; Heb 11:24-27; Matt 4:8-9.

8. Both were shepherds; Exo 3:1; John 10:11.

9. Both fasted for 40 days; Exo 34:28; Luk 4:2.

10. Both climbed mountains (Exo 34; Matt 5:1.

If you want to begin the video where the notes below start, move the video progress bar to 1 hr – 07 minutes – 20 seconds [i.e., 1:07:20]; this is where the audio in the video starts, the first few minutes of the Pastor’s Sermon didn’t have any audio which was about 6 minutes. You are welcome to listen to the first speaker which is very good and is about an hour long, however there are some silent portions in the audio and there is no notes.

NOTES
Unlike the bible study, these notes are not just for reading without watching the video. These notes are more designed to follow along during the sermon and to bring up the “hover pop-up scripture references” (some websites may require to left click the link, if that doesn’t work then look them up in your Bible) when the Pastor asks everyone to turn to that passage in their bibles.

Sermon: 2016 Conference. Part 2. The Word of God pierces, or it reaches through and penetrates through a three-dimensional space, the body, soul and spirit.

First, it pierces, or it reaches through and penetrates through a three-dimensional space, the body, soul and spirit.

The second thing that the Word of God does is that it judges or critiques us meaning to judge, to discern, or to evaluate our lives. It works, first of all, because it is universal in scope…..no one is hidden from God’s sight. God knows everything about us including our innermost secrets and all the skeletons in our closet.

The Word of God works because it is universal in scope and secondly, it is limitless in exposure; all things are open means all things are uncovered; laid bare means to be totally and completely exposed.
God’s two-edged sword reveals the thoughts of your heart and the intentions of your actions.

It is able to go beyond the action to the motive into the thought life so that He is able to expose and reveal to us the true meaning behind our thoughts, our words and our actions…..if we would simply listen to His truth.

2Ti 3:16-17 All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.

I have changed this to All scripture is God-breathed and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: so that the man {or woman} of God may become mature, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

The most important word in 2Ti 3:16 is the adjective theopneustos which means breathing in and breathing out, and it speaks of the inhale and exhale of the Word of God.

God the Holy Spirit directed the human writers of scripture to put down in writing God’s very own complete message to man recorded in perfect accuracy in the original languages.

Matt 24:35 “Heaven and earth will pass away, but My Words shall not pass away.

John 6:63 “It is the spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing; the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life.

Theopneustos again, which means breathing in and breathing out, speaks of the inhale and exhale of the word of God.

The greatest profit and wealth in the world is contained in the Bible.

Reproof is what you hear sometimes that you don’t want to hear.

For correction – what a lot of you don’t like and some of you can’t take.

For training in righteousness – a reference to the training which produces character and integrity in your life. “So that the believer will be proficient, capable, mature and equipped for every good work.”

Prin – Without doctrine there is no legitimate Christian service.

Your spiritual skills must precede your production skills for the performance of divine good.

Inspiration guarantees that the canon of scripture or the Bible is accurate.

Inspiration guarantees that all believers in all dispensations will always have a clear revelation of the plan of God for their lives.

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

2Ti 2:15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, handling accurately the word of truth.

The pastor is responsible to communicate the information to the believer so that the filling of the Holy Spirit and Bible doctrine in the soul makes the advance to maturity possible.

All believers have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit who is their true teacher, John 14:26.

John 14:26 “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you.

All believers have the indwelling of the Spirit permanently but they do not have the filling of the Spirit permanently.

You are commanded to be filled with the Spirit but you are never commanded to indwelt by the Spirit.

You are always indwelt by the Spirit says Eph 4:30, but not always filled with the Spirit says Eph 5:18.

1Co 3:16 Do you not know that you are a temple of God, and that the spirit of God dwells in you?

The indwelling of the Spirit is permanent, it is something which every church age believer has.

You do not grow because of the indwelling of the Spirit, you grow because of the filling of the Holy Spirit, Eph 5:18.

Phillips Translation – Eph 5:18 Don’t get your stimulus from wine, (for there is the danger of excessive drinking), but let the Spirit stimulate your souls.

Bible doctrine is transferred from the written page to the believer’s soul by Bible teaching from one’s right pastor teacher.

Since the Holy Spirit works through the Word of God in the Church- age, the vacancy of doctrine in the soul creates a demand for the perception of doctrine.

No believer can attain spiritual maturity and become an invisible hero or spiritual champion and glorify God apart from PMA of BD [positive mental attitude towards bible doctrine].

The Bible is our textbook, but the gift of pastor-teacher is designed to communicate the specifics of the mystery doctrine that causes spiritual growth.

Since every believer is a royal priest and represents himself before God, it is necessary for him to understand the system of delegated authority whereby he receives his spiritual nourishment and which causes momentum in the PPOG [predesigned plan of God].

Joints and ligaments are to provide motion, coordination, strength, and body action.

Joints and ligaments cannot refer to TLJC[ the Lord Jesus Christ] because Christ is the head of the body, which is the Royal Family, Eph 1:22-23; Eph 5:23-24; Col 1:18.

Joints are those parts of the body where bones or elements of a skeleton join. Joints permit motion and coordination of the human body.

Ligaments are tissue used to connect joint extremities and ligaments can also be tough tissue used to support an organ of the body in its proper place.

This includes the joints and ligaments which are born again believers who function under a spiritual gift which provide what joints and ligaments are to provide for the body.

They provide motion, coordination, strength, and body action.

Different parts of the body represent the variety of differences among believers from the standpoint of spiritual gifts, growth, progress, function, and personality.

In the natural realm, joints provide the unity of the body and give it cohesion, because joints are the point of contact and the connection between various parts of the body…..and so it is in the spiritual realm.

The word “joint” does not apply to the evangelist, but only to the pastor-teacher, the one who communicates doctrine for the body’s spiritual growth.

The casting director is God the Holy Spirit.

Luke 6:40 “A pupil is not above his teacher; but everyone, after he has been fully trained, will be like his teacher.

This does not have to with his lifestyle, nor his personal opinions or his personality but his attitude toward doctrine as the apostle Paul teaches us in Phi 3:15-17.

Only the spiritual gift of pastor-teacher is equipped to dig out the truth of the mystery doctrine and communicate it to you.

Col 2:19 from whom the entire body, by the joints and ligaments being supplied and held together, grows with a growth which is from God.

a. Joints fasten one member of the body with another, therefore, the communication of doctrine from the PT is the only basis for true unity in the body of Christ, Eph 4:13.

b. Joints refer to the point of contact that TLJC, the head of the body, uses to communicate with his own body and therefore the teaching ministry of the pastor-teacher.

c. Joints provide the nourishment, proper function and unity in the body of Christ.

d. The communication gift of pastor-teacher is designed for the “edification” or the “building up” of the body.

Dispensation of the Mosaic Law. The importance of spiritual authority.

We have been spending a lot of time on one major passage that is important for us to understand as we continue in our study of the doctrine of dispensations which has to do with the dispensation of the Law. And probably the most important doctrine that we need to understand as we continue in the dispensation of the Law has to do with a subject that a lot of us don’t really enjoy unless we understand the importance of it, and that is the doctrine of authority.

In fact, it is such an important doctrine to understand that God the Holy Spirit has revealed to us that it is one of Satan’s most important attack against the Lord Jesus Christ and His established kingdom.

Therefore we continue once again with one of the main verses that describe Satan’s subtle against God which is found in Rev 12:9-10, And the great dragon was thrown down, the serpent of old who is called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.

Now, I want you to notice that after the great dragon was thrown down, the serpent of old who is called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; that the apostle John then says in the next verse; Rev 12:10, And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, “Now the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren has been thrown down, who accuses them before our God day and night. Notice that the apostle John says, Now, salvation, power, and the principle of authority has come, why?

Because the one who questions these things, salvation, power, and authority, is Satan himself who accuses God’s people before God day and night, and he has been cast down. Think of it, what is it that Satan wants you to question?

Well, first of all, we know he wants you to question the word of God as we note in Gen 3:1-5, where we read, Now the serpent was more crafty than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, “Indeed, has God said, ‘You shall not eat from any tree of the garden’?” And the woman said to the serpent, “From the fruit of the trees of the garden we may eat; but from the fruit of the tree which is in the middle of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat from it or touch it, lest you die.’” And the serpent said to the woman, “You surely shall not die! For God knows that in the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

Notice that Satan has always and will always cause us to question the word of God. And back in Rev 12:10, we see the major areas that Satan desire us to question; Satan wants you to question salvation!

He wants you to question the power and authority.

And so, we know why he wants you to question salvation because he wants you to question, Eph 2:8, For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God;

He also wants you to question “the power” which is that power you rely upon, is it the power of God in Act 1:8, Heb 4:12; or the power of self, Rom 10:3.

However, the big problem that existed in the dispensation of the Law was not the problem of salvation or the problem of what power was needed but it was the problem with authority. How should born again believers accept and respond to authority? And this has been our subject, which I found in talking to many of God’s people, that they have been deeply convicted, not about salvation, or about the power that they should live under, but they have been convicted about how they have responded or reacted to the principle of authority.

Now, always remember that there is a difference between condemnation and conviction. Condemnation comes from Satan and the kingdom of darkness, whereas conviction comes from God the Holy Spirit and always reveals God’s mercy and grace and leads us to restoration. The big problem that we are going to see is that God placed Moses into a position of authority and the very people that God chose to be under his authority, rejected him, mocked him and accused him over and over again.

And therefore Moses had to learn the principle that God said to Samuel in 1Sa 8:7, And the Lord said to Samuel, “Listen to the voice of the people in regard to all that they say to you, for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected Me from being king over them.

So, as we continue with our study on the doctrine of authority, the issue for the Jews whom God had just set free from being in bondage to the world system illustrated by the nation of Egypt is: Will they live under the principle of authority and accept it or will they have the attitude that the hippy’s had in the 60’s and 70’s. which was to “Question Authority?”

Let me try and answer that according to the word of God again, even though there are those who have their mind made up already who will not agree with what I am about to say, and will tune it out! But, maybe there are some of you who are listening who may receive what I am about to say and therefore be spared from a lot of unnecessary discipline in your life, so I need to say and teach what I am about to.

Let me remind you of the basic principle again that when someone commands you to do something against the word of God that in Act 5:29, you have the right to say what Peter and the apostles answered to the high priest who said to stop teaching about this person you call the Christ, they said, “We must obey God rather than men.

So, you do have a right to question authority when it is against the word of God, but never when it is not. Now, why do I say these things?

Well go back to Exo 14:9-12, Then the Egyptians chased after them with all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, his horsemen and his army, and they overtook them camping by the sea, beside Pi hahiroth, in front of Baal zephon.

“Is this not the word that we spoke to you in Egypt, saying, ‘Leave us alone that we may serve the Egyptians’? For it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the wilderness.”

You see, in our passage the Jews not only had a problem because of their fears and not being able to pick up the shield of faith, but they also had a problem because they had the attitude that Satan had in Rev 12:10, they questioned authority!

Now, what does the Bible say about authority?

1. God has authority over nature; Matt 8:27.

2. God has authority over angels; 1Pet 3:22.

3. The pastor-teacher and church officers have authority over the congregation in the local church, Heb 13:7, 17.

Government has authority over its people; Rom 13:1-7.

The husband has authority over the wife; Eph 5:22; Col 3:18.

Parents have authority over children, Eph 6:1.

Teachers have authority over students.

Coaches have authority over athletes.

Management has authority over labor.

Authority in business stabilizes the economy, Eph 6:5.

Employers over employees; Eph 6:5.

Freedom through military victory is based on the principle of the authority of military; Neh 4:13-15.

The point being is that authority is our friend. We all need it and should love and appreciate it. For example, when it comes to appreciating those who are in positions of authority, do you? Look at 1Th 5:12, But we request of you, brethren, that you appreciate those who diligently labor among you, and have charge over you in the Lord and give you instruction,

Heb 13:7, Remember those who led you, who spoke the word of God to you; and considering the result of their conduct, imitate their faith.

Heb 13:17, Obey your leaders, and submit to them; for they keep watch over your souls, as those who will give an account. Let them do this with joy and not with grief, for this would be unprofitable for you.

My point that I am trying to convince you of is that authority is your friend, not your enemy. Well, what about if the one in authority abuses that authority? That is answered by two main verses I take very seriously: Luk 12:48, Jam 3:1.

Luk 12:48, From everyone who has been given much shall much be required; and to whom they entrusted much, of him they will ask all the more.

Jam 3:1, Let not many of you become teachers, my brethren, knowing that as such we shall incur a stricter judgment.

Now Moses was perhaps one of the greatest leaders who ever lived. And no leader ever had more difficulty with those under his authority. No man ever had his authority challenged so often. And no leader ever had the genius that Moses had. In other words, Moses is in a class all by himself. 2 million adults in the Exodus generation were constantly complaining. Therefore, before we go on we need to note a few things about Moses and his leadership.

First of all, one of the most popular statements concerning Moses is found in Num 12:3, Now the man Moses was very humble, more than any man who was on the face of the earth.

That statement in itself explains it all! Moses was more humble than any person on the earth. Moses had true humility and humility does not make an issue of self and it is not overly self-conscious. Instead humility makes an issue out of Bible doctrine.

1. Therefore, because humility makes an issue out of Bible doctrine, it does not get caught up in the functions of subjective or self-righteous arrogance. If you are truly humble, you take your mind off of yourself.

2. Humility functions under the principle of grace orientation and occupation with the person of Christ. Obviously, any true genuine humility possesses grace orientation and occupation with the person of Christ. This is one of the main reasons why Moses could put up with a rebellious congregation, he was occupied with the Lord Jesus Christ rather than them. Unlike the Pharisees who we read in John 12:43, they loved the approval of men rather than the approval of God. Moses wanted the approval of God.

3. Humility is objective and genuine evaluation of your own helplessness to solve the problems of stress, pressure, calamity, and disaster. In other words, you recognize your own problems rather than the problems of others. Matt 7:3-5, “And why do you look at the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ and behold, the log is in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.”

4. Humility from the biblical viewpoint is always God-consciousness rather than self-consciousness. And God consciousness includes personal love for God the Father and occupation with the person of Christ. Not with people, 2Co 5:16, Phi 2:12.

5. Humility does not deny the function of self-consciousness of the soul, but in the Christian life true humility relates everything to Bible doctrine and the escrow blessings of every believer.
Why?

Because the humble believer wants to glorify the Lord and not himself. Isa 43:21; Rev 4:11. Now, you must remember that Moses was not a man of destiny (Heb-Bashert) until he spent 40 years in Bible class between leaving Egypt and coming back to Egypt 40 years later. It was Bible doctrine that made Moses a man of destiny…and nothing else. Just like it is Bible doctrine that will you a man or woman of destiny and nothing else.

6. Humility cannot co-exist with sins, especially the sins of arrogance and the emotional complex of sins. In fact, the two greatest enemies of the believer’s soul are the sins of arrogance and the emotional complex of sins.

7. Humility is the basis for objectivity in life as well as keeping professionalism and integrity together. One of the greatest problems of life that most people are not aware of, and yet it is a problem to all of us, is keeping professionalism and integrity together.

This is what Moses did for the last 40 years of his life. He kept professionalism and integrity together. What was his profession? Leadership! What was integrity? Humility! Moses is the greatest leader in the Bible. In fact, he is probably the greatest leader in all of history. No one ever had 2,000,000 (million) rebellious people to lead, except there may be an exception of that today. But no wonder that Moses was called the most humble man on the face of the earth.

He is Coming Back. Part 1.

1Co 4:15 For if you were to have countless tutors in Christ, yet you would not have many fathers; for in Christ Jesus I became your father through the gospel.

Matt 23:9 “And do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven.”

And so I quote Heb 4:12, 2Ti 3:16-17 and 2Ti 2:15 in honor of Colonel Thieme for he would quote those passages for years before every one of his services.

In a recent survey it was reported that the majority of the American people continue to be hungry for basic answers and simple solutions.

On July 18, an Afghan refugee in Germany used an ax and knives to slash and wound train passengers while shouting Allahu akbar “Our God is greater.”

In a world where ISIS, the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, claimed responsibly after a follower of Islam drove a cargo truck into a crowd in France murdering 84 people including 10 children, three Americans, and injured over 300 others.

In a world where almost 300 people were killed and more than 200 were wounded in bombing attacks in Baghdad.

A world before that, where radical Islamists in Bangladesh killed 20 hostages, including three American college students.

A few days before that, at the Istanbul airport in Turkey, ISIS attackers armed with guns and bombs killed 44 people and injured hundreds more.

Last month, a radical Islamist in Paris stalked a French police officer to his home where he murdered the officer, tortured his wife to death in front of the 3-old-son, while streaming it all on social media.

Two days before that, an attacker pledging of allegiance to ISIS killed 49 people in an Orlando nightclub, and wounded dozens more.
In a world where if we were to give you the proper statistics hundreds of thousands of Christians have been murdered since the beginning of this century, which the media doesn’t tells us about.

One analysis estimated…since January, 2015, some 30,000 people have been killed at the hands of terrorists.

Rev 12:9 And the great dragon was thrown down, the serpent of old who is called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world;
It is the best seller of all time because it is brilliant on the basics and simple with the solutions needed in a complicated world.

John 6:63 “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing; the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life.

If you look closely at verse 12 you will see the things that it does and at verse 13, why it works.

diikneomai – to reach through, i.e. penetrate. It’s interesting that one of the definitions is that it moves through a three-dimensional space, which I believe can refer to the body, soul and spirit.

Prov 3:8 It will be healing to your body, And refreshment to your bones.

Prov 2:10 For wisdom will enter your heart, And knowledge will be pleasant to your soul;

Prov 20:27 The spirit of man is the lamp of the Lord, Searching all the innermost parts of his being.

The word of God cuts through the garbage; the fog; the excuses; the rationalization; it cuts through the tradition.

The second thing that God’s word does is that it [the word-not the Christian but the word] judges!

kritikos – judge = to critique, to judge, to discern, or to evaluate.

It works because it is universal in scope…..no one is hidden from God’s sight.

It knows everything about us including our innermost secrets and all the skeletons in our closet.

The Word of God works because it is universal in scope and secondly, it is limitless in exposure.
all things are open means all things are uncovered.
laid bare means to be totally and completely exposed.

God’s two edged sword reveals the thoughts of your heart and the intentions of your actions.

All scripture is God-breathed and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: so that the man {or woman} of God may become mature, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

This verse has to do with the Doctrine of Divine Inspiration.
theopneustos = breathing in and breathing out, and it speaks of the inhale and exhale of the Word of God.

God the Holy Spirit so supernaturally directed the human writers of scripture, that without waving their human intelligence, individuality, literary style, personal feelings or any other human factor,
that God’s own complete message to man was recorded in perfect accuracy in the original languages of scripture, and the very words in the original scripture bear the authority of divine authorship — this is called verbal plenary inspiration of the scripture.

Verbal means that the Bible in its original words, from first to last, is the exact record of the mind and will of God as he intended it to be.

Plenary means the entire text is equally from God but not necessarily equally important or equally indispensable.

The Bible records human lies and satanic lies, and the erroneous views of false prophets but that is not as important as the doctrine of the hypostatic union or divine power.

Matt 24:35 “Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words shall not pass away.

John 6:63 “It is the spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing; the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life.

Inspiration guarantees the accuracy of what is there, but it does not condone or sponsor errors, evils, or falsehood; it merely explains them in detail.

Man is the instrument but not the author of the word of God.

Theopneustos means breathing in and breathing out, speaks of the inhale and exhale of the word of God.

The inhale is the ministry of God the Holy Spirit, who communicates to the human author God’s complete and accurate message to that generation and all future generations of history.

2Sa 23:2 “the Spirit of the Lord spoke by me, and His word was on my tongue.

ISA 59:21 “My Spirit is upon you, and My words which I have put in your mouth, shall not depart from your mouth,

Jer 1:9 Then the Lord stretched out His hand and touched my mouth, and the Lord said to me, “behold, I have put my words in your mouth.

Mark 12:36 “David himself said in the Holy Spirit, ‘the Lord said to my Lord,” sit at my right hand, until i put thine enemies beneath thy feet.'”

ACT 28:25 “The Holy Spirit rightly spoke through Isaiah the prophet to your fathers,

The inhale in theopneustos is the ministry of God the Holy Spirit, who communicates to the human author God’s complete and accurate message to that generation and all future generations of history.

The exhale is what the human writer wrote down in his own language and within the framework of his own personality, the divine message to man.

The greatest profit and wealth in the world is contained in the Bible.

For correction – what a lot of us don’t like.

For training in righteousness – a reference to training which produces integrity

The believer will be proficient, capable, mature and equipped for every good work.

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

John 1:14 And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.

John 12:48 “He who rejects Me, and does not receive My sayings, has one who judges him; the word I spoke is what will judge him at the last day.

2Ti 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires;

Psa 56:4 In God, whose word I praise, in God I have put my trust;

Psa 119:89 Forever, o Lord, thy word is settled in heaven.

Prov 13:13 The one who despises the word will be in debt to it, but the one who respects the commands will be rewarded.

Prov 16:20 He who gives attention to the word shall find prosperity, and blessed is he who trusts in the Lord.

Isa 40:8 The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God stands forever.

1Co 3:16 Do you not know that you are a temple of God, and that the spirit of God dwells in you?

John 14:26 “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you.”

The indwelling of the spirit is permanent, it is something which every believer has.

You do not grow because of the indwelling of the Spirit, you grow because of the filling of the Holy Spirit, Eph 5:18.

Phillips Translation – Eph 5:18 Don’t get your stimulus from wine, but let the Spirit stimulate your souls.

Bible doctrine is transferred from the written page to the believer’s soul by Bible teaching from one’s right pastor teacher.

Since the Holy Spirit works through the word of God in the Church- age, the vacancy of doctrine in the soul creates a demand for the perception of doctrine.

No believer can attain spiritual maturity and become an invisible hero or spiritual champion and glorify God apart from PMA of BD.

The Bible is our textbook, but the gift of pastor-teacher is designed to communicate the specifics of the mystery doctrine that causes spiritual growth.

Since every believer is a royal priest and represents himself before God, it is necessary for him to understand the system of delegated authority whereby he receives his spiritual nourishment and which causes momentum in the PPOG.

Joints and ligaments are to provide motion, coordination, strength, and body action.

Joints and ligaments cannot refer to TLJC because Christ is the head of the body, which is the Royal Family, Eph 1:22-23; Eph 5:23-24; Col 1:18.
