On older computers some word definition or message hover popups may not work unless you are using an up-to-date Firefox browser – some of the latest versions of other popular browsers that require Windows 10 work well also. If you don’t have Firefox on your XP, Vista, Win 7, Win 8.1 or other operating system, that’s OK, try left clicking the link which will open the verse at the online bible; or if that doesn’t work, you can always use your Bible to look up the verses. Word or Phrase definition links may not have a website that opens.

Prepare yourself for learning the Word of God!

Before we begin, if you are a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ (that is; you have believed [trusted] in Him for His promised gift of eternal life), it is important to prepare yourself to learn God's Word so take a moment to name, cite or acknowledge (confess) your sins privately to God (i.e.; with your thoughts directed only to God the Father).

1 John 1:9 says: "If we confess our sins, He (God) is faithful and just to forgive us our sins (known sins) and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness [unknown or forgotten sins]." NKJV (New King James Version) [italics added]; we call this REBOUND, read the full doctrine as to “why” we need to use 1 John 1:9 to grow spiritually. REBOUND

If you have never personally believed in the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior (that is, believed in Him for eternal life), the issue for you is not to name your sins; the issue for you is to have faith alone in Jesus Christ alone for eternal life: John 3:16, 5:24, 6:47, 20:30, 31.

John 6:47 says: "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me (Jesus Christ) has everlasting life." NKJV [italics added]

Notice again what Jesus said in John 6:47: "…he who believes in Me (Jesus Christ) has everlasting life." It doesn't say, "will have"; it says, "has." Therefore, the very moment you believe in Jesus Christ for His promise of everlasting life, you have it (it's really just that simple; nothing more and nothing less), and it can never be taken away from you (John 10:28-29). Furthermore, the gift (Ephesians 2:8c) of everlasting life (also called eternal life in scripture) is available to every human being; there are absolutely no exceptions.

John 3:14-15, 16, 17, 18, says: "14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 15 that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. 18 He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." NKJV

Let us now bow our hearts and take a moment to prepare for worship and learning God's Word. If there is any known sin in your life, this is the time to just cite it privately to God the Father with your thoughts directed towards Him. With your head bowed and your eyes closed, you have total privacy in your mind and soul:

Imputations, Justification and Divine Righteousness. Part 2

So far we have covered Rom 5:12-15, Therefore, just as through one man [Adam] sin entered into the world, and death [spiritual death] came through sin, and so death spread to all men, because all sinned [when Adam sinned] for until the Law [until the Mosaic Law, the 10 commandments, etc.] sin [the sin nature] was in the world; but sin [or the sin nature and all the sins that the sin nature produced] is not imputed [there’s our word imputation] when there is no law. Nevertheless death [spiritual death] reigned from Adam until Moses, [from the creation of man until Moses, when the Law or the commandments of God was given] even over those who had not sinned in the likeness of the offense of Adam, who is a type of Him who was to come. But the free gift [that is salvation] is not like the transgression [that is the transgression of Adam]. For if by the transgression of the one [Adam] the many died [hoi polloi=altogether, the entire, or simply all referring to every member of the human race] much more did the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abound to the many [the human race with emphasis on the unlimited atonement].

This verse brings out the importance of understanding how the justice of God works with divine righteousness resulting in the fantastic blessing of God. We have a few principles concerning the first half of verse 15 which we have already noted, we will just review a few of them before we go on to the importance of understanding the second half.

The concept is: Blessing from the justice of God, which is the imputation of divine righteousness resulting in our justification or us being justified before God, sets up a potential for blessing in time which means also an a fortiori of greater blessings in eternity. We have been created for the distinct purpose of glorifying God and our point of reference to so is the integrity of God—which is made up of His justice and righteousness working together. When God works on our behalf it is because these things have both been fulfilled.

The major principle is that Justice executes what righteousness demands. The righteousness of God frees the justice of God to release the divine blessings tailored just us depending upon the potential and capacity of each individual believer. This means that each one of us individually has the same potential but different capacities. Therefore, our first point of contact is always the justice of God. We are never going to be given anything from God which compromises His character, but we are going to be given wonderful things which glorify His person. Everything depends upon our potential, and our potential depends upon the doctrinal content of our soul. From justice to righteousness is the highway through which all of these blessings come to us.

One of the greatest periods of time will to come upon this earth where these principles of the justice of God and +R [+R = the Righteousness of God] will become evident. There are many promises given to the Jewish people who will live in the dispensation of the Millennial Reign which Isaiah calls the Highway of Holiness or the Highway of Devotion to the Truth in Isa 35:1-10. There is going to come a time which is called the Millennial Reign where for 1000 years the Lord Jesus Christ literally sit on the throne in Jerusalem and rule the earth as the King of Israel and the King of kings who rule other nations. This will be that period of time when the Lord will fulfill the four unconditional covenants or promises that He made to Jewish people and the nation of Israel. There are four unconditional covenants and one conditional (Mosaic Law).

The four unconditional covenants:

1. The Abrahamic Covenant defines the race for client nation Israel. Abraham became a Jew at age 99; circumcision was the sign, Gen 12:1-3; Gen 13:15-16.

2. The Palestinian Covenant defines the land for client nation Israel, Gen 15:18; Num 34:1-12; Deut 30:1-9. This is the real estate of the client nation.

3. The Davidic Covenant defines the dynasty for client nation Israel 2Sa 7:8-16; Psa 89:20-37.

4. The New Covenant defines the restoration of the client nation Israel at the Second Advent and its millennial modus operandi, Jer 31:31-34.

These covenants or contracts are not operational until the Second Advent and the Millennial Reign. These covenants were never made to the Gentiles but to the Jews only. Never buy that satanic lie that because the Jews rejected the Lord Jesus Christ when He came on earth the first time that God rejected the Jews from being His chosen people and His ultimate Client nation. That was a lie perpetuated by the gentiles of the early church. In fact, it was so wide spread that the apostle Paul, who is called the apostle of the Gentiles, Eph 3, dealt with it throughout the word of God….especially in the book of Romans where he stated Rom 11:1, I say then, God has not rejected His people, has He? May it never be! For I too am an Israelite, a descendant of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. God has not rejected His people whom He foreknew. Or do you not know what the Scripture says in the passage about Elijah, how he pleads with God against Israel?

So, there is going to come a time which is called the Millennial Reign where for 1000 years The Lord Jesus Christ will literally sit on the throne in Jerusalem and rule the earth as the King of Israel and the King of kings who rule other nations. Remember what the chief priests and scribes said to King Herod when The Lord Jesus Christ was born in Matt 2:6, “And you, Bethlehem, land of Judah, Are by no means least among the leaders of Judah; For out of you shall come forth a Ruler, Who will shepherd My people Israel.” He will also be the King of kings and queens who will rule during that time. For remember, there is a system of rewards that are given out at the Judgment Seat of Christ to believers who became winner believers during their time on the earth, no matter what dispensation they were a part of.

Rev 2:26, “And he who overcomes; [the winner believer], and he who keeps My deeds until the end, to him I will give authority over the nations;”

Rev 3:21, “He who overcomes [the winner], I will grant to him to sit down with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.”

During this time called the Millennial reign there will be those who, as Luk 19:19 says, “will have authority over five cities.” or Luk 19:17, “will have over authority over 10 cities.” The point is that during this period of time, there will be many blessings because the Justice of God and the righteousness of God will reign and will be working together without any satanic distraction, because the devil and his angles will all be in prison. The throne will be based upon justice and righteousness reigning together.

Isa 9:7, There will be no end to the increase of His government or of peace, On the throne of David and over his kingdom, To establish it and to uphold it with justice and righteousness From then on and forevermore. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will accomplish this.

Because of justice and righteousness reigning then the righteousness of God demands blessing from the justice of God and the following manifestations will take place – all because the earth will be filled with believers who have reached their potential. And remember the righteous requirement of the Law is to bless the righteousness of God indwelling man; Rom 8:4.

Therefore, notice a quick look at the time that justice and righteousness will rule. This is a prophecy about the coming of the king, our Lord and Savior, for the second time and setting up the Millennial kingdom, which is a thousand year kingdom that will take place in the future, which could be seven years from tonight and which we can characterized by such passages as: Isa 11:1, Then a shoot will spring from the stem of Jesse, And a branch from his roots will bear fruit. Jesse was the father of David and this verse refers to the fact that the Lord Jesus Chris will come forth from the line of David to rule for 1,000 years on this earth. Isa 11:2 goes on to say, And the Spirit of the Lord will rest on Him, The spirit of wisdom and understanding, The spirit of counsel and strength, The spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord. And He will delight in the fear or respect of the Lord, And He will not judge by what His eyes see, Nor make a decision by what His ears hear; But with righteousness He will judge the poor, And decide with fairness for the afflicted of the earth; And He will strike the earth with the rod of His mouth, And with the breath of His lips He will slay the wicked.

This means that even under perfect environment during the Millennial reign that capital punishment will still exist.

Isa 11:5-10, Also righteousness will be the belt about His loins, And faithfulness the belt about His waist. Meaning justice and righteousness will rule during the thousand year Millennial reign. And the wolf will dwell with the lamb, And the leopard will lie down with the kid, And the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; And a little boy will lead them. [This perfect environment will be a treat even for the children]. Also the cow and the bear will graze; Their young will lie down together; And the lion will eat straw like the ox. And the nursing child will play by the hole of the cobra, And the weaned child will put his hand on the viper’s den. They will not hurt or destroy in all My holy mountain, For the earth will be full of the knowledge of the Lord As the waters cover the sea. The earth will be drenched with doctrine. Then it will come about in that day That the nations will resort to the root of Jesse, Who will stand as a signal for the peoples; And His resting place will be glorious. [this refers to The Lord Jesus Christ ruling and reigning in peace during this period]. When this dispensation or period of time comes, and it will, there will be the following manifestations that we are about to note.

There will be world peace. National and individual peace will be the fruit of the Messiah’s Reign. In Isa 2:4 we read, And He will judge between the nations, And will render decisions for many peoples; And they will hammer their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not lift up sword against nation, And never again will they learn war. There will be no war during this time. “And he shall judge among the nations” [a reference to the Lord Jesus Christ, the ultimate judge ruling]. He will be the judge. Notice: it says When Christ rules the world national entities retain their national boundaries. = He will judge between the nations, And will render decisions for many peoples; this means that nations are to retain their national individuality and that internationalism which is manifested by a one-world government is evil.

So, in the Millennium when you have international reign—Christ will rule the world—but nations will still be nations. This fact alone once again indicates the importance of nationalism and patriotism and how internationalism is always anti-Christian and anti-God. That’s why the United Nations is an evil organization. Any organization which seeks to break down nationalistic barriers is a satanic organization or is one of the great objectives of Satan to destroy nations = The United Nations – which is neither united or free nations. This time of national and individual peace as the fruit of the Messiah’s Reign is also mentioned in Isa 60:18, “Violence will not be heard again in your land, Nor devastation or destruction within your borders; But you will call your walls salvation, and your gates praise.

It will be a fantastic time of inner happiness and joy, Isa 9:3-4; Jer 30:18-19; Zep 3:14-17. Isa 9:3-4, Thou shalt multiply the nation, Thou shalt increase their gladness; They will be glad in Thy presence As with the gladness of harvest, As men rejoice when they divide the spoil. For Thou shalt break the yoke of their burden and the staff on their shoulders, The rod of their oppressor, as at the battle of Midian.

Jer 30:18-19, “Thus says the Lord, ‘Behold, I will restore the fortunes of the tents of Jacob And have compassion on his dwelling places; And the city shall be rebuilt on its ruin, And the palace shall stand on its rightful place. And from them shall proceed thanksgiving And the voice of those who make merry; And I will multiply them, and they shall not be diminished; I will also honor them, and they shall not be insignificant.

And even though it may be a difficult book to find, you’ve got to see this in the eye gate.

Zep 3:14-17, Shout for joy, O daughter of Zion! Shout in triumph, O Israel! Rejoice and exult with all your heart, O daughter of Jerusalem! The Lord has taken away His judgments against you, He has cleared away your enemies. The King of Israel, the Lord, is in your midst; You will fear disaster no more. In that day it will be said to Jerusalem: “Do not be afraid, O Zion; Do not let your hands fall limp. The Lord your God is in your midst, A victorious warrior. He will exult over you with joy, He will be quiet in His love, He will rejoice over you with shouts of joy. Especially He rejoices over those for those who love Him.

Israel will be a place of prosperity and blessing and filled with both inner and overt happiness. The kingdom will also be characterized by glory, Isa 4:2, 60:1-9.

Isa 4:2, In that day the Branch of the Lord will be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth will be the pride and the adornment of the survivors of Israel.

Isa 60:1-2, “Arise, shine; for your light has come, And the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. For behold, darkness will cover the earth, And deep darkness the peoples; But the Lord will rise upon you, And His glory will appear upon you.”

During this period of time, any nation that is anti-Semitic will be disciplined by God.

Isa 60:3-9, “And nations will come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising. Lift up your eyes round about, and see; They all gather together, they come to you. Your sons will come from afar, And your daughters will be carried in the arms. Then you will see and be radiant, And your heart will thrill and rejoice; Because the abundance of the sea will be turned to you, The wealth of the nations will come to you. Notice over and over again there are manifestations of His glory. A multitude of camels will cover you, The young camels of Midian and Ephah; All those from Sheba will come; They will bring gold and frankincense, And will bear good news of the praises of the Lord. All the flocks of Kedar will be gathered together to you, The rams of Nebaioth will minister to you; They will go up with acceptance on My altar, And I shall glorify My glorious house. Who are these who fly like a cloud, And like the doves to their lattices? Surely the coastlands will wait for Me; And the ships of Tarshish will come first, To bring your sons from afar, Their silver and their gold with them, For the name of the Lord your God, And for the Holy One of Israel because He has glorified you.”

If that is not a kingdom described by glory then nothing is! It will be a kingdom manifested by holiness and therefore His justice and righteousness, Isa 1:26-27; Jer 31:23; Eze 36:24-31.

Isa 1:26-31, “Then I will restore your judges as at the first, And your counselors as at the beginning; After that you will be called the city of righteousness, A faithful city. Zion will be redeemed with justice, And her repentant ones with righteousness. Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, “Once again they will speak this word in the land of Judah and in its cities, when I restore their fortunes, ’The Lord bless you, O abode of righteousness, O holy hill! For I will take you from the nations, gather you from all the lands, and bring you into your own land. Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will be careful to observe My ordinances. And you will live in the land that I gave to your forefathers; so you will be My people, and I will be your God. Moreover, I will save you from all your uncleanness; and I will call for the grain and multiply it, and I will not bring a famine on you. And I will multiply the fruit of the tree and the produce of the field, that you may not receive again the disgrace of famine among the nations. Then you will remember your evil ways and your deeds that were not good, and you will loathe yourselves in your own sight for your iniquities and your abominations.”

The King will personally minister to every need so that there will be the fullness of “comfort”, Isa 12:1-2; Jer 31:23-25; Zec 9:11-12. Zec 9:11-12, As for you also, because of the blood of My covenant with you, I have set your prisoners free from the waterless pit. Return to the stronghold, O prisoners who have the hope; This very day I am declaring that I will restore double to you. Double blessing will br prevalent in those days for in Isa 12:1-2, Then you will say on that day, “I will give thanks to Thee, O Lord; For although Thou wast angry with me, Thine anger is turned away, And Thou dost comfort me. Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; For the Lord God is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation.”

There will be the administration of perfect justice, Isa 9:7; Jer 23:5, 31:29-30.

Isa 9:7, There will be no end to the increase of His government or of peace, On the throne of David and over his kingdom, To establish it and to uphold it with justice and righteousness From then on and forevermore. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will accomplish this.

Jer 23:5, “Behold, the days are coming,” declares the Lord, “When I shall raise up for David a righteous Branch; And He will reign as king and act wisely And do justice and righteousness in the land.

There will be the most fantastic teaching ministry of God the Holy Spirit, Isa 11:1-2, 41:19-20; Hab 2:14. Isa 11:1-2, Then a shoot will spring from the stem of Jesse, And a branch from his roots will bear fruit. And the Spirit of the Lord will rest on Him, The spirit of wisdom and understanding, The spirit of counsel and strength, The spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord.

There will be direct instruction from The Lord Jesus Christ as the King of kings, ISA 29:17-24, 3:14-15; Mic 4:2, And many nations will come and say, “Come and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord And to the house of the God of Jacob, That He may teach us about His ways And that we may walk in His paths.” For from Zion will go forth the law, Even the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.

At last, all of the nations in the world will recognize the greatness of the nation of Israel. And why is Israel such a great nation? Well, it is such a great nation because of three of the greatest individuals who ever lived came from Israel – Jesus Christ, Paul the apostle and Moses.

Isa 29:17-24 says, Is it not yet just a little while Before Lebanon will be turned into a fertile field, And the fertile field will be considered as a forest? And on that day the deaf shall hear words of a book, And out of their gloom and darkness the eyes of the blind shall see. The afflicted also shall increase their gladness in the Lord, And the needy of mankind shall rejoice in the Holy One of Israel. For the ruthless will come to an end, and the scorner will be finished, Indeed all who are intent on doing evil will be cut off; Who cause a person to be indicted by a word, And ensnare him who adjudicates at the gate, And defraud the one in the right with meaningless arguments. Therefore thus says the Lord, who redeemed Abraham, concerning the house of Jacob: “Jacob shall not now be ashamed, nor shall his face now turn pale; But when he sees his children, the work of My hands, in his midst, They will sanctify My name; Indeed, they will sanctify the Holy One of Jacob, And will stand in awe of the God of Israel. And those who err in mind will know the truth, And those who criticize will accept instruction.

The original curse placed upon creation in Gen 2:17-19 will be removed! There will be abundant productivity to the earth, even the animal creation will be changed, Isa 11:6-9, 35:9, 65:25.

Isa 11:6-9, And the wolf will dwell with the lamb, And the leopard will lie down with the kid, And the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; And a little boy will lead them.

Isa 35:9, No lion will be there [that is no vicious lion], Nor will any vicious beast go up on it; These will not be found there. But the redeemed will walk there,

Isa 65:25, “The wolf and the lamb shall graze together, and the lion shall eat straw like the ox; and dust shall be the serpent’s food. They shall do no evil or harm in all My holy mountain,” says the Lord.

Sickness will be removed. The ministry of the King as the healer will be seen throughout the Millennium so that sickness and even death will be removed, the exception being “death” in dealing with criminal sin or capital punishment, Isa 33:24; Jer 30:17; Eze 34:16.

Isa 33:24, And no resident will say, “I am sick”; The people who dwell there will be forgiven their iniquity

Jer 30:17, ‘For I will restore you to health And I will heal you of your wounds,’ declares the Lord, ‘Because they have called you an outcast, saying: “It is Zion; no one cares for her.”

Eze 34:16, “I will seek the lost, bring back the scattered, bind up the broken, and strengthen the sick; but the fat and the strong I will destroy. I will feed them with judgment.

I told you many times some of these things are so fantastic, they are hard to believe. All of the deformed are healed as well, if they were deformed at the time of the Second Advent they will experience a total healing, Isa 29:17-19; Jer 31:8; Mic 4:6-7.

Isa 29:18-19, And on that day the deaf shall hear words of a book, And out of their gloom and darkness the eyes of the blind shall see. The afflicted also shall increase their gladness in the Lord, And the needy of mankind shall rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.

Jer 31:8, “Behold, I am bringing them from the north country, And I will gather them from the remote parts of the earth, Among them the blind and the lame, The woman with child and she who is in labor with child, together; A great company, they shall return here.

Mic 4:6-7, “In that day,” declares the Lord, “I will assemble the lame, And gather the outcasts, Even those whom I have afflicted. I will make the lame a remnant, And the outcasts a strong nation, And the Lord will reign over them in Mount Zion From now on and forever.”

There will also be a supernatural work of preservation in the Millennial age through the King, Isa 41:8-14; Eze 34:27; Joel 3:16-17.

Isa 41:8-14, “But you, Israel, My servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, Descendant of Abraham My friend, You whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, And called from its remotest parts, And said to you, ‘You are My servant, I have chosen you and not rejected you. Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. Behold, all those who are angered at you will be shamed and dishonored; Those who contend with you will be as nothing, and will perish. You will seek those who quarrel with you, but will not find them, Those who war with you will be as nothing, and non-existent. For I am the Lord your God, who upholds your right hand, Who says to you, ‘Do not fear, I will help you. Do not fear, you worm Jacob, you men of Israel; I will help you,” declares the Lord,” and your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel.”

Eze 34:27, “Also the tree of the field will yield its fruit, and the earth will yield its increase, and they will be secure on their land. Then they will know that I am the Lord, when I have broken the bars of their yoke and have delivered them from the hand of those who enslaved them.”

Joe 3:16-17, And the Lord roars from Zion And utters His voice from Jerusalem, And the heavens and the earth tremble. But the Lord is a refuge for His people And a stronghold to the sons of Israel. Then you will know that I am the Lord your God, Dwelling in Zion My holy mountain. So Jerusalem will be holy, And strangers will pass through it no more.

There will be no social, political, or religious oppression, Isa 14:3-6, 42:6-7; Zec 9:11-12.

Isa 14:3-6, And it will be in the day when the Lord gives you rest from your pain and turmoil and harsh service in which you have been enslaved, that you will take up this taunt against the king of Babylon, and say, ”How the oppressor has ceased, And how fury has ceased! The Lord has broken the staff of the wicked, The scepter of rulers which used to strike the peoples in fury with unceasing strokes, Which subdued the nations in anger with unrestrained persecution. I am the Lord, I have called you in righteousness, I will also hold you by the hand and watch over you, And I will appoint you as a covenant to the people, As a light to the nations, To open blind eyes, To bring out prisoners from the dungeon, And those who dwell in darkness from the prison.”

There will not be the tragedies of mental illness or of infant deaths, Isa 65:20, “No longer will there be in it an infant who lives but a few days, Or an old man who does not live out his days; For the youth will die at the age of one hundred And the one who does not reach the age of one hundred Shall be thought accursed.”

The earth’s population will soar and there will be sex. Children will be born to the believers who began the Millennium and will have a sin nature and therefore need salvation, Jer 30:20, 31:29; Eze 47:22; Zec 10:8. There will exist a perfect economic system (e.g. no unions) in which the needs of men are abundantly provided for, Isa 62:9-12, 65:21-23; Jer 31:5.

Isa 62:9-12, But those who garner it will eat it, and praise the Lord; And those who gather it will drink it in the courts of My sanctuary. Go through, go through the gates; Clear the way for the people; Build up, build up the highway; Remove the stones, lift up a standard over the peoples. Behold, the Lord has proclaimed to the end of the earth, Say to the daughter of Zion, “Lo, your salvation comes; Behold His reward is with Him, and His recompense before Him.” And they will call them, “The holy people, The redeemed of the Lord”; And you will be called, “Sought out, a city not forsaken.”

Isa 65:21-23, “And they shall build houses and inhabit them; They shall also plant vineyards and eat their fruit. They shall not build, and another inhabit, They shall not plant, and another eat; For as the lifetime of a tree, so shall be the days of My people, And My chosen ones shall wear out the work of their hands. They shall not labor in vain, Or bear children for calamity; For they are the offspring of those blessed by the Lord, And their descendants with them.”

There will be an increase of solar and lunar light. The increased light probably is a major cause of the increased productivity of the earth, Isa 4:5, 30:26, 60:19-20; Zec 2:5. There will be a unified language. The language barriers will be removed so that there can be free social intercourse, Zep 3:9, “For then I will give to the peoples purified lips, That all of them may call on the name of the Lord, To serve Him shoulder to shoulder. The point is that all the world will unite in the worship of God and God’s presence will be experienced as never before. However, there is one bit “but” or warning in Rev 20. In spite of these fantastic blessings we read in Rev 20:1-10, And I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold of the dragon, the serpent of old, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years, and threw him into the abyss, and shut it and sealed it over him, so that he should not deceive the nations any longer, until the thousand years were completed; after these things he must be released for a short time. And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given to them. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of the testimony of Jesus and because of the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received the mark upon their forehead and upon their hand; and they came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were completed. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is the one who has a part in the first resurrection; over these the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with Him for a thousand years. And when the thousand years are completed, Satan will be released from his prison, And when the thousand years are completed, Satan will be released from his prison, and will come out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together for the war; the number of them is like the sand of the seashore. And they came up on the broad plain of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city, and fire came down from heaven and devoured them. And the devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are also; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

Preparing yourself for the study of God’s Word

Before we begin, if you are a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ (that is— you have trusted in Him for eternal life), it is important to prepare yourself to take-in God’s Word so take a moment to name, cite or acknowledge your sins privately directly to God the Father. This will assure that you are in fellowship with God the Father and the Holy Spirit’s convicting ministry, also called the convincing ministry will then be able to teach you as the Holy Spirit is the real teacher and the pastor’s message is the vehicle the Holy Spirit uses to convince you what you are learning is true or not.

1 John 1:9 says—“If we confess [simply name, cite or acknowledge to God the Father] our sins [known sins], He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins [known sins] and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness [all unknown and forgotten sins].” NKJV (New King James Version)

If you have never personally believed in the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior (that is, believed in Him for eternal life), the issue for you is not to name your sins to God; the issue for you is to believe by faith alone in Jesus Christ alone for eternal life and you will be saved the very second you believe in Him:

John 6:47 says: “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me [Jesus Christ] has everlasting life.” NKJV

Notice again what John 6:47 says, “he who believes in Me [Jesus Christ] has everlasting life.” It doesn’t say, “will have”; it says, “has.” Therefore, the very moment you believe Jesus Christ’s promise of everlasting life, you have it (it’s really just that simple), and it can never be lost or taken away from you (John 10:28-29). Furthermore, the gift of everlasting life (also called eternal life in scripture) is available to every human being; there are absolutely no exceptions.

John 3:14-18 says: “And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” NKJV

Let us now bow our hearts and take a moment to prepare for learning God’s Word, if there is any known sin in your life, this is the time to just cite it privately to God the Father with your thoughts directed towards Him. With your head bowed and your eyes closed, you have total privacy in your mind and soul:

NOTES
Unlike the bible study, these notes are not just for reading without watching the video. These notes are more designed to follow along during the sermon and to bring up the “hover pop-up scripture references” (some websites may require to left click the link) when the Pastor asks everyone to turn to that passage in their bibles or as a memory jogger for review after you’ve viewed the video Sermon.

The Doctrine of the Pivot; Part. 33. Is he here? Is he alive? Will we see him? What should we expect? America, meet the anti-Christ!

1. There are Two World Powers which are symbolized in Revelation chapter 13. And our first question is Who or What is the first beast or power mentioned?
The beast is representative of the Roman Empire, especially the RCC with emphasis on papacy and the place and function of the Pope.

2. What year the RCC and the papacy lost its world influence and power under the phrase “the fatal wound was healed.”

Answer: The Bible predicted that the papacy would lose its world influence and power at the end of the 1,260 years and then the prophecy was fulfilled in 1798.

3. What does it mean when the prophecy in Rev 13:11 says that this new nation, even if it is America, will speak “as a dragon”?

“speaking as a dragon” = this new nation will eventually be under the influence of Satan in the end time, and force people to worship contrary to their conscience and their personal convictions.

Apostate religion and civil government will unite in the end times to force itself upon the people’s conscience.

A. “Exercises all the authority of the First Beast.”
Could America become a persecuting power that will force people to go against their conscience, as did papal Rome which is portrayed in the first half of Rev 13?

“I love all religions. … If people become better Hindus, better Muslims, better Buddhists by our acts of love, then there is something growing within them”

“All is God — Buddhists, Hindus, Christians, etc., all have access to the same God.”

She actually promoted the concept that “All Roads lead to Rome” insinuating that all religions ultimately lead to the RCC and the pope.

Even more than being a Catholic she was a Universalist, believing essentially that all religion leads to the same God.

John 7:24 “Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment.”

B. He will use his words to cause the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the First Beast, whose deadly wound was healed.”

The pres-act-ind of the Greek verb poieo which means to cause, he will do things that will “cause” those who are on the earth to worship the first beast.

Please note that the Second Beast is going to cause those who are alive on earth to worship the First Beast.

The Second Beast is going to cause those who are alive on earth to worship the First Beast.

“The beast is representative of the Roman Empire, especially the RCC with emphasis on the papacy and the place and function of the Pope.

The unholy trinity refers to Satan [the father]. the anti-Christ [the son and therefore Satan’s son] and the false prophet [counterfeit spirit who is the messenger for the anti-Christ].

The second beast in Rev 13:12 will cause the world to worship the anti-Christ, because that is what the father of the anti-Christ, who is Satan, desires for his son.

Just like our Father desires His Son Jesus Christ to be worshipped and honored in John 5:22-23, Satan desires the same for his son, the anti-Christ or the pseudo-Christ to be worshipped.

Eph 1:22 And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head over all things to the church,

The First Beast (Satan) will promote the anti-Christ who will promote Satan.

Does Satan specialize in counterfeits?

There’s a counterfeit Jesus, spirit, Gospel, doctrine, believers, churches, counterfeit communion table, prophets, signs, wonders, etc.

He will counterfeit the fact that God has a Son and therefore so will he, of course because he is a deceiver.

In Matt 13:24, we read of Christ going forth to sow the “good seed?”

Matt 13:35 = the enemy, Satan, goes forth to sow his “tares” — which are the imitation of wheat. Tares are simply weeds that produce death.

Another counterfeit is found in Matt 13:38, notice that we read of “the children of God,” then we also read of “the children of the wicked one.”

Phi 2:13 for it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure.

The best Satan’s counterfeit can do is found in the phrase he is the prince of the power of the air of the spirit that is now working in the children of disobedience” (Eph 2:2).

Did our Lord Jesus Christ appoint “apostles”? — Eph 4:11 And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers,

2Co 11:13 For such men [Satan’s servants] are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ.

We are told in 1Co 2:10 the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God, therefore, if God has deep things, then what do you think the jealous creature Satan has? (Rev 2:24).

We have studied these deep things of Satan in the past which are based upon myths, fables, lies and false religious concepts from

Satan, but most of all the deep secrets if a woman called Jezebel related to demonism and the phallic cult.

Most of you have heard about the mark on the hand or the forehead, where do you think the mark or the seal on forehead comes from = Satan?

In Rev 7:3, we are told that God, by His angel, will “seal” His servants in their foreheads.

This mark on their foreheads was to symbol that they were under the protection of God, sought of like the blood on the doorposts for the Jews in Egypt.

Satan had to copy this one, by using his deceived human followers and his fallen angels, who will set a mark in the foreheads of his devotees; (Rev 13:16).

Does the Father seek “worshippers” (John 4:23), so also does Satan (Rev 13:4).

The human race worships the dragon, (Satan as a type of God the Father) and the First Beast, (the anti-Christ or the pseudo Christ as a type of God the Son).

Rev 22:16 “I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things for the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, the bright morning star.”

Did TLJC quote scripture (Matt 4:4), so also does Satan in (Matt 4:6).

Did TLJC claim to be the Light of the world, (He did – John 8:12) then Satan also had to desire to transform himself as an “angel of light” (2Co 11:14).

Is TLJC nominated as “the Lion of the tribe of Judah” (Rev 5:5), then the Devil is also referred to as “a roaring lion” (1Pe 5:6).

Do we read of Christ and “His angels” (Matt.24:31), then we also read of the Devil and “his angels” (Matt 25:41).

Did TLJC work miracles, then so also will Satan; (2Th 2:9)!

1Jo 3:2 Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we shall be. We know that, when He appears, we shall be like Him, because we shall see Him just as He is.

1Jo 4:17 By this, love is perfected with us, that we may have confidence in the day of judgment; because as He is, so also are we in this world.

Is Christ seated upon a “Throne,” so also will Satan be; (Rev 2:13).

Has Christ a Church, then Satan has his “synagogue”; (Rev 2:9).

Has Christ a “bride,” then Satan has his “whore”; (Rev 17:16).

Has God His “Vine,” so has Satan; (Rev 14:19).

Does God have a city, the new Jerusalem, then Satan has a city, Babylon; (Rev 17:5; 18:2).

Is there a “mystery of godliness” (1Ti 3:16), so also there is a “mystery of iniquity” (2Th 2:7).

Does God have an only-begotten Son, so we read of “the Son of Perdition” (2Th 2:3).

Is Christ called “the Seed of the woman,” then the Antichrist will be “the seed of the serpent”; (Gen 3:15).

In this Trinity of Evil Satan himself is supreme, just as in the Blessed Trinity the Father is (governmentally) supreme: note that Satan is several times referred to as a father (John 8:44, etc.).

Unto his son, the Antichrist, Satan gives his authority and power to represent and act for him (Rev 13:4) just as God the Son received “all power in heaven and earth” from His Father, and uses it for His glory.

The Dragon (Satan) and the Beast (Antichrist) are accompanied by a third, the False Prophet, and just as the third person in the Holy Trinity, the Holy Spirit, bears witness to the person and work of Christ and glorifies Him.

The Antichrist will be a man, and yet more than man, just as Christ was Man and yet more than man.

The Antichrist will be the Superman’ of whom the world, even now, is talking, and for whom it is looking.

The Wicked One who is to be revealed shortly, will be a supernatural character, he will be the Son of Satan.

His twofold nature is plainly declared in 2Th 2:3 — “That man of Sin, the Son of Perdition.”

2Th 2:3 Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction,

2Ti 2:7 Consider what I say, for the Lord will give you understanding in everything.

2Pe 1:13 And I consider it right, as long as I am in this earthly dwelling, to stir you up by way of reminder,

1Sa 12:24 “Only fear the Lord and serve Him in truth with all your heart; for consider what great things He has done for you.

Gen 3:15 And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her seed; He shall bruise you on the head, And you shall bruise him on the heel. ”

There is a double “enmity” spoken of by God says, “I will put enmity between thee and the woman,” that is, between Satan and Israel, for Israel was the woman that bore Christ (Rev 12).

Two “seeds” are here spoken of; “Thy seed” (a reference to the Serpent’s seed) and “her seed,” the woman’s Seed, TLJC.

The woman’s Seed was Christ, the Serpent’s seed will be the Antichrist.

The Antichrist then, will be more than a man, he will be the actual and literal Seed of that old Serpent, the Devil; as Christ was, according to the flesh, the actual and literal Seed of the woman.

“Thy seed,” Satan’s seed, refers to a s specific individual, just as “her seed” refers to a specific Individual.

There is another reference in the Bible that is also sometimes overlooked and that is Eze 28:1-10.

The second who is described in verses Eze 28:12-19 and has received considerable attention from Bible students especially of the last three generations.

nagiyd – a prince, a commander, a noble prince.

We are talking about, in the natural realm, the son or the prince of the King of Tyre.

In the spiritual realm who does the King Tyre represent?
He represents Satan.

In the spiritual realm who would the principle represent?
He would represent the son of Satan, or the anti-Christ.

Noticed he is indicted for the same thing his father, the King of Tyre, who represents Satan is incited for, and he will be judged in the same way as his father.

Just as what is said in Eze 28:11-19 could only refer to “the king of Tyrus” can an only apply fully to Satan himself, so, what is said of “the prince of Tyrus” manifestly has reference to the Antichrist.

Notice that we are told that the king of Tyrus was “lifted up because of his beauty in Eze 28:17, his son, the prince, the anti-Christ will sit in the seat of God,” 2TH 2:4.

In Eze 28:3, the prince is said to be even wiser than Daniel.”

Dan 8:23 “And in the latter period of their rule, When the transgressors have run their course, A king will arise Insolent and skilled in intrigue.

Dan 7:8 “Behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of men, and a mouth speaking great things,” which intimates that the Antichrist will be possessed of extraordinary intelligence.

“With his wisdom and understanding he has gotten riches, gold and silver into thy treasures.”

Psa 52:7 “Behold, the man who would not make God his refuge, But trusted in the abundance of his riches, And was strong in his evil desire.”

As Satan is termed “the king of Tyre,” in the second section of this chapter the Antichrist is referred to as “the prince of Tyre.”

Antichrist, then, is related to Satan as “prince” is to “king,” that is, as son is to the father.

In Matt 12:43 the Antichrist is called “The Unclean Spirit,” not merely an unclean spirit, but “the Unclean Spirit.” If this be the case, then we have further evidence that the coming One will be no mere man indwelt by Satan, but a fallen angel, an evil spirit, the incarnation of the Devil.

We are now noting the key to understanding the righteousness of God which is based on you understanding the following subjects or doctrines.

1. How the Justice of God and the righteousness of God work together.

2. The doctrine of Justification.

3. The doctrine of Imputation. Rom 5:12-21 is our main passage. On one end of this Grace Pipeline (GP) is the Justice of God, the origin of all blessing…not His love. On the other end of the pipeline is +R [the Rightousness of God] which was imputed to the believer at the moment of salvation. Notice that the love of God is not involved in either end of the GP.

If God blessed us simply because He loved us, the whole world would be blessed, believers and unbelievers, and we would all be spoiled. However, even though He loves the world and He is not willing for any to perish…people still do perish…why? Because His justice needs to be satisfied before His love can be perfectly expressed. And so, the Justice of God works in an intimate way with +R which was imputed to the believer at salvation.

Imputation means to reckon, to attribute, to ascribe, to charge to one’s account. It is used as an act of God whereby either condemnation or blessing is ascribed, attributed, reckoned, given, or imposed on the human race.

Now, as I mentioned before Rom 5:12-21 is one of the greatest, if not the greatest and clearest passage in the word of God when it comes to the subject or doctrine of imputation, where we read in Rom 5:12, Therefore, just as through one man [Adam] sin entered into the world, and death [that is spiritual death] came-through sin, and so death spread to all men, because all sinned [the aorist tense says that all sinned when Adam sinned].

1Co 15:21-22, For since by a man [Adam] came [spiritual] death, by a man [the humanity of TLJC—The Lord Jesus Christ] For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all shall be made alive.

Adam made one decision and it involved the entire human race. However, don’t be too hard on Adam because the decision that Adam made would have been our decision, we would not have done it any differently. If we would have never sinned God would have let us be, but we all would have failed just like he did.

So, Adam, when he disobeyed by eating the fruit from the tree of good and evil , made a decision for the entire human race. Now each member of the human race must make a decision regarding another tree: the Cross. One man’s decision places all of us under spiritual death, but our own decision of faith in Christ provides us an eternal relationship with God and we have something better than Adam lost.

Rom 5:13, for until the Law [Mosaic Law, the 10 commandments, etc.] sin [the sin nature] was in the world; but sin [or the sin nature and all the sins that the sin nature produced] is not imputed when there is no law.

God did not and could not hold us accountable or impute or accuse us for our sins because He had not given man commandments to follow at that time. However, as this passage says but sin or the sin nature and the sins it produced was still in the world. With or without the Mosaic Law, sins have always been committed. In other words, the Mosaic Law does not restrain sin, it is a declarer or a communicator of sin.

The Mosaic law defines sin for us but it doesn’t restrain us from sin. The Law was given to reveal to us our total depravity and the fact that we could never meet or follow God’s commands. It was given to reveal our hopelessness and helplessness. Because the justice of God imputed the sin of Adam to us and giving us spiritual death, that same justice could bring us out of the pit of spiritual death by taking our personal sins and imputing them to Christ.

Under the principle of the Justice of God, Peter wrote; 1Pe 3:18, For Christ also died for sins once for all, the just for the unjust, in order that He might bring us to God, having been put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit;

So, the sins that were in the world from Adam were unjudged by the justice of God, and put them on the cross so that the justice of God could judge our personal sins and we would get out of eternal condemnation. This is perfect justice. And so, while personal sin existed in the human race from Adam to Moses it was never the basis for condemnation, it was Adam’s sin that set up the basis for our condemnation.

The personal sins of the human race are never imputed to the individual but all are imputed to Christ on the Cross. At the Cross personal sins-past, present, and future were imputed to Christ and then judged by the justice of God as grace provision for our salvation. It is imperative to understand that personal sin is never imputed until the Cross.

So, Adam’s sin was imputed to us at birth with resultant spiritual death while our sins were imputed to Christ resulting in His spiritual death. That my friends is a tremendous blessing to us from God. And so Rom 5:14 goes on to say, Nevertheless death [that is spiritual death or separation from God] still reigned from Adam until Moses, [Or from the creation of man until Moses, when the Law or the commandments of God was given] even over those who had not sinned in the likeness of the offense of Adam, who is a type of Him who was to come.

We did not sin like the first Adam, we were born sinners, he was not, he was created with perfect righteousness and he lost it. What does that mean that man had not sinned in the likeness of Adam? It means that Adam sinned even though he had a sinless nature, even though God gave him no commandments, but mankind sinned because he was born in sin.

Therefore, it is important to note the relationship and analogies between the first Adam and the Last Adam. Here are some of those principles:

1. Since Adam’s sin was imputed to the human race, the human race receives condemnation from the justice of God, namely spiritual death. This is why we are born physically alive and spiritually dead and we need to be born again, but this time born of the spirit.

John 3:5-6; “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water [word] and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.”

2. Also, this verse teaches that In spite of the absence of the divine norm, the Mosaic law which defines personal sin, personal sin was not the issue in spiritual death, the issue in our spiritual death was the imputation of Adam’s sins not ours. Spiritual death, condemnation from the justice of God, comes from the imputation of Adam’s sin, not from personal sins.

3. Such condemnation from the justice of God was based on imputed and inherent, but not personal sin.

4. Personal sin is a factor in every person in the human race, but personal sin was not the basis for our condemnation.

5. Adam’s sin is the basis for condemnation for Adam is the federal head of the human race.

Also, when it says in Rom 5:14, Nevertheless death reigned from Adam until Moses, even over those who had not sinned in the likeness of the offense of Adam,

6. Adam’s sin was negative volition, direct disobedience to the command of God, regarding the prohibition of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. God set up a test for man in his perfection. The test was for his volition which was free. One thing man did not need in the garden was garden was to understand good and evil, the policy of Satan. We did not sin like Adam!

7. While many members of the human race do not have the duplicate, the exact sin that Adam had, we do have a similarity to Adam’s sin and the justice of God recognizes that everyone does not express sin in the same way. However, it doesn’t matter what you or I think about someone’s sin, that we think that there are some sins that are more respectable than others.

The word of God says Jam 2:10, For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles in one point, he has become guilty of all.

Rom 1:18, For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,

Notice that ungodliness and unrighteousness is said to be found in those who suppress or they conceal and block out the truth.

Rom 1:19-32, because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse. For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God, or give thanks; but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

Professing to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible man and of birds and four footed animals and crawling creatures. Therefore, God gave them over in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, that their bodies might be dishonored among them.

For they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error. And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper, being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, greed, evil; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malice; they are gossips, slanderers, haters of God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, without understanding, untrustworthy, unloving, unmerciful; and, although they know the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, they not only do the same, but also give hearty approval to those who practice them.

And then after defining all of these so-called gross sins says the self-righteous individual, God says to them in Rom 2:1, Therefore you are without excuse, every man of you who passes judgment [on them for what their sins are], for in that you judge another, you condemn yourself; for you who judge practice the same things.

8. And so the eighth principle concerning this verse; All are just as guilty and under the penalty of sin (spiritual death) because of the imputed sin of Adam and because of the old sin nature.

9. Also this verse brings out the fact that personal sin is the result of spiritual death rather than the means of spiritual death in the human race.

Personal sin is the direct result of being born with the imputation of Adam’s sin plus the old sin nature. All personal sin comes directly from the old sin nature.

Rom 5:14, Nevertheless death reigned from Adam until Moses, even over those who had not sinned in the likeness of the offense of Adam, who is a type of Him who was to come. The reason for this typology is the fact that Adam was created perfect from the hand of God, whereas Christ was born perfect by the grace of God. So, we have only two people in all of history who were perfect at their beginning. The beginning of the first Adam was creation, whereas the last Adam was born perfect. Adam is a type of Christ from the standpoint of federal headship of the human race.

Only two men in human history, Adam and Christ, are federal heads. Adam is the federal head of mankind and Christ is the federal head from the new birth. The first Adam was created perfect and sinned, bringing condemnation to the human race. The author of sin is Adam. The last Adam was perfect and was judged for our sins on the cross, bringing salvation to the human race.

Notice that neither the first Adam nor the last Adam started with an old sin nature. Both were minus anything related to sin; both had free will. The choice of the first Adam was negative, putting the human race under sin; the choice of the last Adam was positive, putting the human race in the category of salvation. Therefore, we have type and antitype. Adam is the author of spiritual death; the last Adam is the author of eternal life.

1Co 15:22, For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all shall be made alive.

1Co 15:45, So also it is written, “The first man, Adam, became a living soul.” The last Adam became a life giving spirit.

Isn’t the word of God great?

Rom 5:15 goes on to say, But the free gift [that is salvation] is not like the transgression [that is the transgression of Adam]. For if by the transgression of the one [Adam] the many died [hoi polloi = altogether, the entire, or simply all referring to every member of the human race] much more did the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abound to the many [the human race with emphasis on the unlimited atonement].

Verse 15 now brings us to the a fortiori of capacity for blessing, hence the a fortiori for blessing in time. Under the principle of imputation, we now begin to set up a contrast emphasizing here the difference between the first and the last Adams, between the type and the antitype; in other words, between Adam and Christ.

The free gift means a grace gift, or a gracious gift. It refers to the salvation work of Jesus Christ on the cross being judged for our sins. In other words, a contrast is being set up between the first and the last Adam. “But not as that transgression [the original sin of Adam], so also is that gracious gift [the work of Christ on the cross].”

As noted in the previous verse Christ as the antitype to Adam’s type, is impeccable, perfect in His humanity, not a sinner. Christ did not have a sin nature, because He did not have the imputation of Adam’s sin, did not have any personal sin, in contrast to the first Adam. Like the first Adam, TLJC did not have an earthly father to pass down the genes of the old sin nature. We’re going to note this when we get to the imputation of human life to the soul as well as the imputation of Adam’s original sin to the genetically formed old sin nature.

The typology of the two Adam’s, then, can only be carried to a certain point. It cannot be carried into their persons because as persons they were quite different. Adam was unique because he was created perfect and fell. Christ was unique because He is the God-Man and remained in His humanity impeccable. So there has to be some basis for setting up type and antitype.

The answer is simple. Each one is a federal head of the human race. Adam is the federal head of the human race through physical birth, while Christ is the federal head of the human race through spiritual birth. This is why we must be born again to have an eternal relationship with the integrity of God. Here the analogy ends and the contrast begins. The first Adam brought condemnation on the entire human race, while the last Adam brings salvation to the human race.

Because the of first Adam the justice of God condemns man, but because of the last Adam the justice of God is free to provide blessing for man—beginning at salvation through imputed righteousness and justification. Therefore, while the human race is born in Adam the human race is born again in Christ.

The concept is that blessing from the justice of God, i.e. the imputation of divine righteousness and resultant justification, is potential for blessing in time that means great reward in eternity. Remember that the point of reference for the human race is the integrity of God—righteousness and justice. Righteousness demands righteousness and justice demands justice. When God works on our behalf it is because these things have been fulfilled. Justice executes what righteousness demands. Therefore, our point of contact is always the justice of God. We are never going to be given anything from God which compromises His character, but we are going to be given wonderful things which glorify His person.

Everything depends upon our potential, and our potential depends upon the doctrinal content of our soul. As a result, the highway for blessing is open. From justice to righteousness is the highway through which all of these blessings come to us. All blessing from God originates with divine justice and terminates with the divine righteousness that was imputed. But always remember, God will never give us anything unless we have the capacity, and therefore capacity becomes a big issue.

If God provided the greater in justification it follows a fortiori that He will provide the less in temporal blessing from the justice of God. A fortiori is a system of logic which comes from Latin phrase meaning “with stronger reason.” For example, if I was willing to give you as a gift one million dollars, it follows a fortiori that I would give you one hundred dollars as a gift.

Now, A fortiori is a system of logic using comparison and Paul is using it here when he says…. in Rom 5:15, For if by the transgression of the one [Adam] the many died [the human race] much more did the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abound to the many.

Furthermore, the provision of temporal blessing glorifies God, and for any born-again believer to have any of the blessings of life in the devil’s world it is glorifying to God. The phrase “much more” means that God provides more in grace than man had in innocence before the fall. God provides more in the imputation of divine righteousness than He did in the garden where no righteousness had been imputed. If God did the most for us when we were spiritually dead in Adam He can only do much more than the most for us now that we possess divine righteousness and resultant justification.

That is because when the most was done for us we were related to the wrong man—Adam. But now we are related to the right man—Jesus Christ. Look at the a fortiori in Rom 5:8-9, But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him.

If God did the most for us when we were spiritually dead in Adam He can only do much more than the most for us now that we possess divine righteousness and resultant justification. The same thing is said and is true in Rom 8:32 He who did not spare His Own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things?

The believer in Christ through salvation adjustment to the justice of God has been placed in a greater position than that which was lost by Adam in the garden. God provides more in grace adjustment to the justice of God than man ever possessed originally in the garden. The gift of grace, Jesus Christ, provides the a fortiori link. The justice of God did the most in judging our sins when Christ was carrying them on the Cross.

If the justice of God did the greater at the cross it follows a fortiori that the justice of God can do the less—temporal and eternal blessing for the mature believer. The sin of the first Adam results in the condemnation of the human race but now the grace gift of God provides more for the many than was lost originally. Hence, the believer is not restored to the status of Adam before the fall, he is restored to something far greater than Adam ever had.

This constitutes a double a fortiori. If God can do the greater at eternal salvation, He can do the less after salvation. If God can do less after eternal salvation, He can do greater than less again and again and again for all of eternity.
